We recently employed MTEX services to install a new boiler and heating system along with the fitting of 2 new bathrooms. They had worked on my parents and grandparents houses before, so I knew the high standard of their work and excellent customer service. They didn’t disappoint, completing the installations in a timely and professional way. Leaving my house as they found it, even did a little extra hoovering on the way out! We highly recommend Tom. He has replaced and serviced our central heating system for several years. He has also replaced our shower door and shower valve which wasn't straight forward, despite this Tom did the job professionally within the quote he had given us even though he had to come back several times. All work was done to a high standard. Tom is very approachable and is happy to explain all aspects of the work. To find a good reliable tradesman is difficult we will keep using Tom's services.

Install of 5kw Valliant ASHP, new 200l Joule Platinum hot water tank (converting house to unvented system) and replacing/upgrading all the radiators. From the first meeting, Terry demonstrated a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for 'the job', which had to be done right. Introduced through Heat Geek, Terry completed a detailed survey and provided a great deal of advice before we took the plunge. He was always very clean, tidy and courteous throughout and his professionalism is what you would expect from someone with 'Heat Geek Elite' status. The detail of all individual little the 'extras' Terry included, such as upgrading filter valves, attaching hose connectors to make draining easier (if ever needed) and building a separate 'system deck' when re-plumbing the shower mixers have all added up. We could not be happier and would have no hesitation in recommending Terry to you.

We recently moved to a 1970s house that had a malfunctioning 40 years old boiler. So, we tried to service it through a company suggested by our previous landlord. That company recommended that we replace the boiler since it was too old which we were fine with, however their quote was on the higher side. So, we obtained another quote from Terry for comparison since he had good reviews. Terry's quote was reasonable and hence we went with him. Terry did an excellent job in replacing the old boiler with a new one and also reconfigured the pipe works and controls. He made sure the central heating and hot water systems are working fine with optimised settings for energy efficiency. A couple of weeks later we had an issue with the upstairs radiators not working due to some air lock. Terry came back and installed an additional air vent and fixed the problem. Since the central heating and hot water are sorted now, we are more confident of facing the upcoming winter :)

Terry did an excellent job of installing my new boiler, TRVs and correcting the existing plumbing for the boiler. Despite a few difficulties he was always professional and took things in his stride. I would thoroughly recommend his work and have already told my son to use him for his new boiler.

I’m visiting my very elderly mom and last night the boiler packed up. I couldn’t get it to reset. I called a dozen emergency services and no one picked up or returned my calls. I was getting really desperate and about to give up hope and it was just absolutely freezing. I called this company and a gentleman answered. I asked him the cost to come out. He offered for me to send pictures to see if he could help me resolve the issue. He’s a genius and god no less. It worked. Not only is he an outstanding human being. I would without hesitation depend on him and he is trustworthy and dependable. I’m ever so grateful 🙏🏽

Prompt response, professional and polite. I had my boiler out of power at night, Ali came to fix it on next day morning. Although it was due to my son switched off the fuse socket accidentally, Ali still checked the boiler in detail. I will keep using his services in the future for sure.

We'd been having leak issues with our under sink waste pipes. Daniel came and replaced the existing assembly which hadn't been done well by a previous company. Really good job, carried out professionally and a good price too. Daniel is a really friendly guy and I'll certainly call him again if I have plumbing issues in the future. Dan is an amazing, knowledgeable and very professional heating and gas engineer. We called him in to power flush our central heating system (photo attached) as the radiators were not getting hot enough or in some cases at all. He quickly figured out the issue with the pipework and also advised on other issues to make the gas and heating safe for us. We appreciated his attitude and work ethic and decided to go with his recommendations to introduce a boiler flue management kit and renew the gas supply pipework. Dan kept us fully informed throughout the process of his work and that really helped us feel more confident and comfortable that he was doing a great job and everything in the right way and in line with the latest regulations. We would definitely recommend Dan for plumbing and heating works.

Dan fitted a new boiler, installed the new kitchen and created a wet room for me with in my budget, without compromising on the quality of the materials or the workmanship. Dan did herringbone tiling and spent a lot of time insuring it was completed properly. He also installed underfloor heating in both rooms and replaced all the flooring and supports underneath the kitchen. Dan even created a temporary mini kitchen so we were never without a cooking or washing facility. Nothing is a problem for Dan and he will go the extra mile to help you. He even provided us with heaters when our old boiler broke down. Dan looked at my Pinterest images and worked with me to create the exact design I wanted. He also sourced designer radiators and brought catalogues to my home to look for what I really wanted. Dan was clear that he would make sure that the dream would be achieved! Dan also introduced me to other reliable tradesmen, who helped with the overall work. Dan is knowledgeable and explains everything that he’s doing on the job. Overall Dan has a great positive mental attitude and made a stressful renovation much easier by managing it and reassuring that everything would work out fine.

Plamen came today at very short notice. I found his details in checkatrade. My kitchen was flooded with water due to blocked kitchen sink. He said he could be at my place after finishing another job and he arrived in less than 1 hour. He wore shoe protectors to avoid leaving any dirt on my floor. He unblocked the drain, gave me some good advice. Very courteous and professional. I will definitely call him again and he also does handyman work.

I cannot praise Plamen enough for the exceptional plumbing work he carried out in my home recently! There are not enough words to describe the high standard of his work. I had been struggling to find a plumber who was prepared to accept the work that was required, and I was getting frustrated and despondent. I eventually found Plamen on Checkatrade and he accepted the work, despite the fact that it was extensive and complicated, although most of the complexity wasn’t evident until he had already started work. That didn’t deter Plamen though, and over several days he persevered until he had completed the work to the highest standard possible. I needed several radiators and valves replacing, the whole system needed flushing and the shower cartridge needed replacing. My house was previously cold and miserable with poor heat production from the radiators, with some of them failing to warm up at all, but after Plamen had finished the complex work on the heating system, my plumbing and radiators throughout the house are now functioning perfectly and the house is toasty warm at last. Plamen drained some horrible-looking thick and sludgy gunk out of my radiators, which was one of the reasons why the radiators were so inefficient and not heating the house properly. Plamen was keen to keep the price reasonable for me, which I really appreciated. He visited several times to prepare and measure-up, ensuring that he only replaced the essential radiators with others just requiring replacement of the valves. He worked long hours, even during the weekend to complete the work, and brought a colleague along with him to help him on the Sunday. His standard of workmanship was faultless and he left the house immaculate. He was exceptionally tidy while he worked, always wearing overshoes or even removing his shoes, and applied adhesive plastic sheeting to the carpeted areas. He returned to bleed the radiators to ensure the most efficient water circulation and kept me informed throughout the process, carefully explaining anything that I didn’t understand. In addition, Plamen is a really lovely warm and friendly chap and so easy to have working in the house. I really can’t thank him enough for his exceptionally high standard of work and the difference that he has made to my house with fully functioning radiators and a warm shower! I have already recommended him to my neighbour, who after reading his amazing reviews, has contacted him. Thank you Plamen, and I apologise for the delay in posting my review. It’s been a pleasure to be able to post such a positive review from a very happy customer!!

Used Greenaway plumbing and heating to undertake some repairs from a poorly fitted wet room that another plumber installed. A couple of plumbers viewed but did not want the job.
