The best bakery with the friendliest of staff with fabulous produce. I had the Christmas afternoon tea today and it was extremely good value with the tastiest sandwiches and delicious scones and cakes that you could wish for. As always the staff were friendly. Every visit I make to this bakery does not disappoint whether it's for coffee, breakfast, lunch or bakery goodies I enjoy what it has to offer. This is due to the choice, the price, the taste, the freshness and the friendly staff.

Where do I start with this bakery...other than fantastic! I have been going here for years now and have never been disappointed! Quality is spot on, quantity is spot on and prices have stayed very reasonable considering the increases recently. So you could say this review is an homage to the now 50 plus years this bakery has consistently been delivering top quality to it's loyal customers! I love a sub baguette, and my go-to choice is a BLT with mayo! It comes rammed with crispy bacon, juicy tomato and lettuce a plenty! Simply amazing. I also enjoy a hot sausage roll too...again very enjoyable! My go-to cakes are the bakewells though, I just love the almond and jam filled pastry! So, not been to this bakery yet? You're missing out! You have to go there...like now! Come on, grab ya coat and get on ya way down there! :D

Best Bakery Ever! The sourdough is the best you can get here. Even the breakfast food are marvellous! This is my favourite place in Carshalton Beeches. It has a very friendly atmosphere.

Visited El’s Cafe for the first time today and had a scrumptious full English (at 3pm). 😋 My anytime breakfast was made to order and El, the very friendly and accommodating owner, made my egg to my exacting specifications (soft yolk but not undercooked). For that reason alone, I will visit again! 😃 El also makes a mean latte! In today’s London, where a lot of people are so unfriendly and slapdash, the welcoming atmosphere in this little cafe, coupled with tasty meals, made for a very pleasant change. I left El’s Cafe smiling and would recommend it to anyone who wants a pick-me-up after a hard day or just a home-away-from-home delicious meal!! 😃 01:06:24 Since my first review, I have been back to El’s three times (that’s saying a lot as I’m only in the area once a week). I can’t get enough of his Full English!! 😋😃 I’ve also had his baked potato with chicken salad. It was delicious. El takes great care when he’s preparing his food and the proof of his pudding is definitely in the eating!!😋😃

It's my first time in here, I was welcome with a smiling face. I ordered bacon, Lettuce and tomato toasted bloomers with a peppermint tea which was good. If you prefer to be in quite, peaceful place and good service. You should definitely try this cafe.

A neat, clean and cozy cafe in Carshalton. The owner, is the loveliest and most welcoming person ever, going above and beyond to look after his customers. The atmosphere is peaceful and cozy, attracting lovely and kind fellow customers too. Food was fresh, authentic and just delicious. I ordered the American-style chicken burger...it was the freshest and juiciest burger I ever had! Alongside came the most flavourful and crispiest fries and sour pickle with the fresh crunch - just the way I like it! An array of condiments and sides were available too. The Cappuccino is just brilliant. Period. 100% recommend the coffee and the food. I am always in a rush in my short lunch break, catching up on calls and trying to scoff my food at the same time. Owner was kind enough to pack the food I couldn't finish and I ended up enjoying it at home in the evening! Owner is the most kindest and warmest host. I always leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and in a brilliant mood back to work. Definitely going again whenever I get the chance to! Having used this company twice now, response to queries are prompt, the quotes detail the work and electrician kept to works schedule and did the job properly, cleaning up before leaving. I trust this company and would definitely recommend. Really happy withh new light fittings.

I contacted WES for an estimate and quote for a replacement storage heater. I chose them specifically because they were local to my location. They responded very promptly and shortly after I was then booked in within a two-week appointment slot for a Friday. On the Thursday they gave me a heads-up that they had an engineer free for that afternoon, and if I'd like him to come around to do the job. The engineer turned up on time, was very professional and a gentleman. He did an excellent job on the installation, provided a new socket, cleaned up and gave a comprehensive tutorial on how to operate the heater. A week after, I received the invoice, paid and job closed. The overall service was particularly good and recommend WES indeed. A++++++++++++

Outstanding company which is obviously why they are not only a Which Trusted Trader but have tons of top reviews on many platforms. Anthony visited & followed up with a full Itemised quote ( which was stuck to & VERY reasonable ) Great communication & expert advise with No pressure what so ever. 1st class workmanship & they worked solidly through all the jobs & I was totally at ease just doing my own thing whilst they were here. After the work Anthony emailed me my Electrical Condition Report ( I had requested a full property electrical inspection be done 1st incase there was any problems or extra jobs needed that could be carried out whilst he & Dan were already working here.). He advised me to contact him if I have any questions or need any advice/assistance in the future. I WON'T hesitate to use WES in future & from my personal experience am confident in recomending them to Anyone .

Called Dara Electrical following a constantly tripping RCD, said he would be with me within a few hours and got a text when he was 30 minutes away. Carshalton has been waiting years for third wave coffee and a modern take on brunch. Rubes opening has been a friendly outpost that feels like it’s been part of the neighbourhood for ages. Really friendly team, serious about coffee, and some really tasty Things on Toast (and sandwiches too). If you’ve been, you know this already, and if you haven’t, why haven’t you? Came for the first time. Order 2 decaf cappuccinos, poached egg, bacon sandwich, pastry. Would of ordered sausage roll but honestly it shocks me the way they are displayed , on the counter uncovered, everyone breathing all over, dogs inside the caffe too. Same as the pastries plz cover them or put in a display unit. Our food arrived and we still waited for our cappuccino’s, it wasnt busy. But takeaway drinks being prioritised and the Barista was busy chatting with a friend. Finally got our capps 15mins after ordering. Unfortunately the capp was disappointing, great art but was a latte there was literally no foam. My photo is as the coffee was placed down. When the barista can see as he places the coffee that its wobbling etc this is not a Cappuccino and should be taken straight back and remade. The food was nice, great sourdough. The poached egg was nice but a garnish would of made it better and also another slice of toast to mop up the eggs. Bacon sarnie was very good nice bacon and filling. The staff at till and serving where lovely, service 4 star due to the capp situation. Will probably try again but as a coffee shop plz get your Cappucino correct, i def dont favour art over a well made cappucino!

Carshalton has many things going for it - lots of different pubs, serene parks, the river wandle, a sense of history. However what it has profoundly lacked is a decent Cafè/brunch space which focusses on quality of produce and service. The emergence of Rubes has been an utter game changer to the area and has transformed my perception of what was a declining high street. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and the coffee is up there with the best across London - that is not hyperbole. You can feel the passion of the owner and staff that comes through the exciting, worldly food and coffee. We attended the first of their in-demand “supper clubs” - a really cool concept which featured an excellent 5-course meal and a demonstration of technically highly skilled cooking. Looking at other reviews it is clear that I am not the only customer that appreciates the impact this business has had on the quality of life in Carshalton. Proud to support this small, innovative local business and really hope it continues to grow and achieve success.

Very Pleased with the work that Safesparx Electrical carried out, needed an extractor fan installed in a very awkward air vent in my bathroom. Overall finish was great and would highly recommend and will be using again.

Tom is brilliant! After I posted the ad on checkatrade (to remove 2 old storage heaters and install new ones in my Let flat) he contacted me so quickly and offered to come to the flat have a look. He told me everything I need to know, very patient and professional. He even helped me to collect the heaters from the store (as delivery will be delay) and replaced it perfectly in such a short notice. Which really helpful in such cold weather. After that, he called me and let me know everything is fine. His price is very reasonable. He is very polite, professional and I already told him I will ask him for help whenever my Let flat has problem. Highly recommend!

We have recently bought an older property in Sutton. Tom helped us with assessing the necessary electrical work, replaced the consumer unit, improved the safety through RCDs and earth wiring.
