The vets was amazing! They were the only vets around that had the second vaccination to what my breeders told me to get Came in and the reception loved my puppy Rosie haha, she wanted a cuddle and had a lovely chat Then met the vet person himself, full of information, really interesting things, also done health check on Rosie which was all good Overall, so much information, but amazing visit ! Thank you so much đśđ has been an amazing experience and would recommend! Wished I known sooner as this would be my main vets haha but who knows I might switch

Great experience friendly super helpful staff. I was able to book my kitty cat in for the same day as she had hurt her leg treatment was thorougher and quick. Very gentle with her and gave us loads of information to help support her recovery.

I wanted to post a recommendation. My little rescue cat Lily, was diagnosed with stomatitis a year or so ago by conventional vets. I did not resonate with the treatment they wanted to give her, so went holistic via research on the Internet. However after some months of improvement I went to Birgit for an assessment. To cut a long story short, my Lily is impossible to get to the vet, for me anyway, but lovely Valentina, the new vet, has made several visits to monitor Lily's progress and supplements, and give her acupuncture. I just wanted to say that after Valentina's visit today, our little Lily called for us and showed herself rolling around showing her tummy, something hardly ever seen. Even though I have done lots of research for Lily's health, it is so reassuring to have Valentina to look at her and examine her every so often as Lily also needs acupuncture for her emotional health and it is obvious that she is much happier. And also Valentina is wonderful in examining Lily in corners, in cupboards or other hidey holes. Nothing is too much trouble. Thank you so much Valentina and Birgit. Our dear little girl is so much better after her hard start in life.

I cannot thank Birgit and her incredible team enough for the care and support they provided for my beloved dog, Blue. From the very beginning, Birgitâs holistic and natural approach to veterinary care was exactly what I had been searching for. Her expertise and the wonderful therapies and remedies she recommended gave Blue a longer, happier, and healthier life than we ever imagined possible. The entire team at the practice has been so kind and compassionate. Every phone call, every medication order, and every word of support meant the world to me during some very difficult times. They genuinely care, not just for the animals but also for the families they help. When we sadly lost Blue, at age 16, the thoughtful sympathy card they sent with personal messages from the whole team brought us so much comfort. It was such a kind and touching gesture. Blue was a truly special dogâa beautiful soul who brought immense joy to our lives and touched the hearts of everyone who met him. He wasnât just our pet; he was family, and in many ways, he rescued us as much as we rescued him. Birgit and her team gave us precious extra time with him, and for that, I will always be grateful. I highly recommend Birgit and her team to anyone looking for compassionate, expert care for their pets. Flynn, my 13 month old labrador, had a retrobulbar abscess caused by a foreign body that got into his system. We tried conventional specialist treatment (CT scan/investigative surgery/ultrasound etc) but the swelling kept reappearing. Birgit brought together a mix of Chinese medicine, homeopathy, plant/herbs and acapuncture which over a period of only a week reduced the swelling and saw Flynn move towards his old self. Probably the foreign body dissolved itself we cant know but his system was strengthened by her work to enable him to deal with it himself. Birgit's wonderful way of working with animals meant that he was able to be confident and cooperative with her - she really went that extra mile - especially through those early danger days - helping me to feel supported and know Flynn was having the best treatment for him by a wonderful vet.

Just a quick review for Dr Birgit. We took our little 7 year old Chihuahua x Yorkie( Lily) to Birgit when she was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. That was over 7 months ago and Lily is doing fine. Quality of life is excellent and shows no signs of deteriating. In fact She's as active and cheeky as ever. I think the outcome with a traditional vet would have been pretty poor and would have meant a lot of vet visits and separation not to mention some big bills. We have not been apart from Lily once and could not be more pleased with her treatment and of course the fact that she is still with us and doing so well. Thank you Birgit. You are wonderful.

In late September 2023 my Labrador sustained what I thought was an injury to his lower back. He was very distressed and in a lot of pain. Naturally I rushed him to the vets and after a couple of weeks on anti-inflammatory and pain relief drugs he wasn't better. We were referred to specialist vets for scans, MRI's and tests to discover he had a degenerative condition called IVDD (bulging discs). Treatments were offered but all of them were invasive, carried huge risks and crazy expensive with no guarantee of success. He was also on very limited exercise which, any Labrador owner would know is very hard to manage because as a breed they need lots of exercise! After researching his condition and looking at alternative treatments I started taking him to hydrotherapy which is where I was recommended Birgit. Being keen to avoid surgery/invasive treatments and the damaging effects of him taking long term drugs I contacted her and we began our journey of acupuncture, Chinese herbs and homeopathic treatments. Birgit has been incredible, she has worked her magic and as I write this today I have a healthy well exercised Labrador not needing surgery, invasive treatment or drugs. I honestly can't recommend Birgit enough, we are both so grateful and I will ALWAYS champion the holistic route for any of my pets health needs. Birgit, we both thank you so much, you are so very special to us.

An outstanding & compassionate service. Our elderly dog needed an emergency vet & from the first phone call to the latest visit we have never felt more at ease or listened to. Due to her age we have had to see vets quite frequently & John and his team are the best you could ever hope for. You truly see the personal touch and the love for animals that chains don't offer. Even for end of life care we could not go somewhere else. The pricing structure is very reasonable and test results explained so well. I will be recommending these vets to everyone we know. A hidden gem and we are so thankful to have found them.

John and Saba were absolutely amazing with our recent tragic and unexpected loss of our cat Bella. John saw us without hesitation and spent 1hr with us 10:30pm to 11:30pm Friday night. He administered multiple medications and pain killers to make Bella more comfortable over night. We then called John and Sabba out for a home visit on Saturday morning when we had to make the devastating decision to put Bella to sleep. John and Saba dealt with Bella and us with great compassion and we canât thank them both enough for their kindness and efforts to make Bella as comfortable as possible and to allow us to say goodbye to Bella at home rather than having to take her into the practice. We shall be forever grateful â¤ď¸ xx

Our lovely cat Rosemary of 18years, health deteriorated quickly and when we reached out to our own vet of 20years we couldnât get an appointment within reasonable time. We contacted Medivet Evegate- Montgomery, who gave us the opportunity to attend straight away and we were seen within 15 minutes of arriving. The whole service and compassion from all staff involved (reception lady who was so kind on the phone when I started crying and she led us into a consultation room and offered drinks and tissues, to the kind vet who was with us till the end with Rosemary ) was second to none. We would highly recommend this veterinary practice. We also received a beautiful card in the post today which meant so much to us. Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts!

After having bad experiences at another local vets, I transferred to Heronden and it was the best decision I have made for my two dogs! The team were all so welcoming and accommodating with my many requests and concerns and always made an extra effort to make it a positive experience for my dog. The vet (Katie) took time to explain everything to me in detail which really helped ease any anxieties caused by previous vets. She was patient and kind to my dog and paid great attention to his reactions to ensure that he was comfortable. Would recommend this practice 1000%.

We have recently joined Heronden Vets after a bad experience at a previous vets. All of the staff have taken time to get to know Roddy and reassure him. He gets spoilt with lots of treats and fusses. We have decided to take Roddy along weekly to try and get him used to it, all of the staff have been so patient and understanding. I've not long joined Swale Barn Vets, but so far my experience has been nothing less than fab. Everyone is so caring. I love that they are a properly Vet run practice and not a corporate company run practice that are everywhere these days, this is why I chose Swale Barn. I recently called at short notice as my cat Binx was not himself and off his food, and although there were no appointments they fit him in there and then. The vet, Jane, noted straight away that Binx was a stressy cat, and did everything she needed to do calmly but as quickly as she could so I could get him home ASAP. He was booked in the next day for dental work, i was given an estimate prior so i knew what it would cost. I received a call after the op talking me through the whole procedure and aftercare. They even made sure he was ready for me to pick up early as I was going out that evening. I highly recommend Swale Barn to anyone looking for a caring vets who put the animals and their families first.

Wonderful vet he was honest, caring, gentle and kind to my dog during the examination. He explained everything to me clearly. I rang because I was concerned about my dog and although they were closing at 12 oclock they fitted us in and did not rush the consultation even though it was past closing time. Fantastic new vet practice in Chartham. Clean and modern facilities and friendly staff. I urgently needed an appointment for my dog but was registered at a different vets. Despite this they gave me an appointment at very short notice. The veterinarian Charlotte was fantastic - she did a thorough examination, explained her observations clearly and gave useful and practical advice.
