I have to say, as skeptical of the previous reviews as I was, Chris lives up to the hype. Fairly priced, no BS at all, easy to work with, goes the extra mile, doesn’t do more than is needed but leaves nothing undone. I can’t recommend Top Gear enough to anyone who believes mechanics rip you off. He’s the real deal and knows his stuff inside and out. Amazing customer service too; the full package. I’ve found my mechanic for life.

Amazing service and know how at reasonable prices; whether it’s a 20 year old Golf or a nearly new Audi Paul has looked after my cars superbly. He always explains what’s wrong ; doesn’t spend money unless he’s spoken to you first and will squeeze you in if it’s an emergency. He’s brilliant.

Our car has been having problems for a few months and this finally escalated last weekend. We found out through a mobile mechanic that we had severe break problems (which we knew because we could hear metal on metal). It’s one of those car problems you know are going to big, so you want to call around and find the best team for the job. Top Gear was exactly that team. They caught our eyes from their amazing reviews, and they absolutely lived up to them. From giving us quotes for three different kinds of parts to accommodate any financial budgets, to being extremely friendly and welcoming when we arrived, to being communicative throughout the repair process, Top Gear really cares about the cars and the people in them.

Chris and team provide an Outstanding highly professional service and go the extra mile to satisfy their customers and at reasonable prices , our Volvo brake calliper was replaced at extremely short notice (24 hours)and our VW Passat have had a service and MOT. I could honestly write a book about how amazing this company is. From how lovely the man was that picked my car up and dropped it off, he was so friendly, chatty and all round very nice guy! I was kept up to date every week with the progress off my car, they exceeded far beyond my expectations, I was gobsmacked when I got my car back, incredible work!! Can't believe how they got my car looking so good considering the amount of damage there was. Alex, Kyle and the engineer went through everything with me. Brilliant from start to finish of my vehicle repair. There was always somebody calling to update on repairs and then if I had queries I was guaranteed an email back within the hour. I have gotten my car back today, the repairs are exceptional. I have used other garages previously having to send my car back for re spray as the repair had been done badly, but steer have gone above and beyond it looks like new! Thankyou so much I highly recommend.

Ayliff's Garage was recommended to me by some colleagues at work so called them to investigate and carry out works required due to car only starting up on three cylinders. Diagnostics carried out thinking it was a injector issue but turned out to be the glow plugs. Requested all four glow plugs to be changed. Car starts first time even with the recent cold spells. I have to say that the Receptionists were all super pleasant from booking in and collecting the vehicle. Points noted was the absolute cleanliness of the reception area and how smart the receptionists looked in their uniforms. Walking past the workshop areas, this was the first time in ages I have ever seen such an immaculate clean workshop and floors and not soiled with oil and grease at all. That says it all to be honest. Will definitely be using Ayliff's Garage again for further works if required and for MOT's. G Brown

I was very pleased with the service I received from Ayliff’s Garage. The staff handling the booking were superb, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. My car was collected and delivered on time and the work carried out at a reasonable price. The mechanic who returned my car was very polite and helpful when responding to my question. A brilliant local garage! Always fair on price, incredibly honest and hard working. The place is always busy but they always make time to help and get you booked in when you need work done... And they never overcharge or take advantage. They deserve every success. A real hidden gem in the Spilsby/Hundleby area. An outstanding, honest service. Friendly & not dear. After being charged a fortune at my regular garage, someone recommend Spilsby Garage to me. I was pleasantly surprised at the price I was quoted which was less than what I recently paid out at the other place, yet I'm having twice the number of parts replaced. They're always busy (which is a good thing) so don't always expect to get booked in immediately. Well worth the wait.

Ok so I have been using this garage for years and cannot praise them highly enough. Customer service is absolutely second to none. Knowledge of all car types is second to none, based on experience not theory. Under the ever watchful eye of the owner Jon you won't find them guessing at a problem and hoping for the best. If it isn't sorted properly then it won't leave the garage. They will always give you an up front appraisal of your car and will always treat you fairly. They live by their reputation and will never do anything to damage it. You can ask anyone who uses them and you will only get positive responses. They are generally busy but will always make time to discuss your requirements and if you are able to wait for a booked in repair then it will be worth it as there is nothing worse than a bad garage experience. Don't feel nervous if you don't know the first thing about cars because they exist only to offer a great, friendly service and the first time you meet Ellie at reception you will understand what I mean. If you do know cars and you are trusting them with your cherished motor then you will also soon realise you are in safe hands.

Just broke down outside this garage on the way to skeg, car full of tired kids, raining outside! Absolutely gutted, but a wonderful man here hooked us up to the machine straight away, let us all use the toilet and had us on our way in five minutes. Honestly what a guy, so kind! Thankyou so much

Used today for MOT. The guys there are very proficient and honest. Will tell you clearly and problems and guide you through the options without pressure. Sensibility priced work. MOTs still £40. Nice little family run garage!! I was recommended this garage via a family member and chose to drive a good distance for my MOT. I received a friendly welcome from the moment I walked through the door, pointed in the direction of a warmer area to sit and offered a coffee while they performed my MOT. Great customer service. I honestly can't speak highly enough about this garage and the individuals. Jack in particular has always been so responsive and helpful any time I've had an issue. They are very knowledgeable and honest and I choose to use them over the garage where I purchased the car, despite it being in warranty! Good service is hard to come by but these guys are brilliant.
