I booked a two-hour shared lesson with my wife yesterday. Both my wife and I are complete beginners in golf. Shay explained things to us in detail and used a lot of references to let us understand the basic setup and techniques of golf. In addition to the basic techniques, Shay also provided us with a lot of information about the sport, which made the whole lesson much more meaningful. Overall, both my wife and I really enjoyed the lesson, and we would definitely book more lessons in the future, even though it took us an hour to drive from home to Belton. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Shay to improve my golf swing, he had been recommended to myself by a few friends who were very impressed by his Lab fitting session. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results I have seen just from one session. From the very first session, Shay demonstrated a deep understanding of the mechanics of the golf swing and a keen ability to communicate complex concepts in a way that was easy to grasp. Shay introduced me to innovative drills that he witnessed Tiger himself using, that made a significant difference in my swing. They used video analysis to break down my swing frame by frame, which was incredibly helpful in understanding what I needed to change. The use of technology in our sessions added a modern touch that enhanced my learning experience. The results speak for themselves. My swing is now more consistent, powerful, and accurate. I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in my game, and my confidence on the course has soared. Thanks to Shay, I’m going to the course and range being able to practice in a way I can see instant feedback from my game and sessions. Had a lab DF3 fitting with Shay. Great guy and very knowledgeable, spent loads of time with me making sure everything was done right. Putter delivered in 3 weeks. Howard in the pro shop was great on pick up making sure I tested it to make sure everything was ok before leaving. Great experience and highly recommended 👍

Lovely course. Nice bar area . Nice staff. Well kept greens, particularly given the recent dry weather . The course is fairly flat, but that’s Lincolnshire for you. Quite a lot of bunkers and not so many water traps , but that probably was for the best , given my balls have an unusual attraction to water .

Joined my two boys in the summer of this year, 13 yr old and 20 yr old. What an amazing club. Everyone is so friendly and helpful from the members, to the club staff and the pro shop. The boys have played so much golf during the school holidays and at every opportunity at weekends or after school. Even dragged me out a few times. The course is great and their golf has improved immensely. Clubs have been bought, shoes have been bought and more gear on order, highly recommend purchasing from the team as they are competitive and reliable. Can’t really praise the whole set up enough. Golf course - we played the Hotchkin course and it was in immaculate condition. It was challenging, in terms of length, bunkers (as some very extremely deep) as well as having penal rough! Clubhouse - lovely clubhouse but could l do with an uplift. It needs some TLC but with some investment, it could be absolutely superb. Driving range - it’s about five minutes walk from the shop but it is super. Lots of Toptracer bays and a great Short game area as well. Just what you’d expect from the home of England Golf.

Possibly the most difficult golf course I've ever played and I've played over 500 all over the world. If you can't carry the ball 200 yds off the tee , stay at home. Absolutely brutal but brilliant at the same time. Definitely not fun, but a magnificent challenge

Excellent course that I was lucky enough to qualify to play on for the England ladies medal final . Lovely experience. Very welcoming staff. Homely feel to it. Offers a wide range of facilities to practice on. A must try for all golfers. Very helpful greenside bunkers to keep you on your toes.

Stayed there for a week with some friends, friendliest staff, spacious rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Can't wait to visit again! Honourable mention to Richard who was so lovely to us all!

Amazing Stay at the Golfer’s Retreat - Customer Service was great. We went up as 4 couples for a Staycation and stayed 4 nights with spacious rooms each with their own en-suite. The host was very responsive and ensured we had an amazing stay. Sunday Carvery was great to finish off our stay and we were able to use the BBQ grill for a sunset BBQ as a group.

My first half round in 15 years was at Pottergate and i thoroughly enjoyed it. A beautifully maintained course. The other golfers we bumped into were all pleasant too. And we saw a stoat. I’ll be back!

First time coming here for a Sunday lunch, if you haven’t had one yet I must say get yourself down here. It’s a hidden gem! Probably one of the best views for a meal in Lincolnshire. Staff are attentive and real joy to be around. Would highly recommend. [I would advise booking, as we were lucky to get a walk in table, and just generally very busy]

Played a small society day on their March offer. Course in good shape considering the rain and greens were impeccable! We had great food before and after and every single staff member we encountered were friendly, helpful and accommodating! This place is a real gem that takes huge pride in itself and visible investment continually back into the course. See you again soon.

Room hired for 60th birthday party very friendly staff couldn't be more helpful. Always clearing down tables chatting to people good with the children. The food was amazing buffet meal with potato, salmon, quiche, giant onion rings and meats. 😎

Wonderful course with many challenges. Club house is very modern with a variety of drinks and meals. Very friendly and accommodating to all ages. Course was in immaculate condition and a credit to the Green keepers. One of the nicest clubs I’ve played at. Will definitely be looking to play again soon.

Been a member here now for 5 years. This is the most friendly club I have ever played at. The course is excellent and a good challenge. I have not played many courses that have better greens. The restaurant has a great chef in Janet and she is supported brilliantly by the catering and bar staff. We also have a great memorial to the crew of a WW2 Halifax Bomber that crashed locally. Worth a visit? Definitely.

Played in the Open here on 4th September 24. I enjoyed the day. A warm welcome, great game of golf and delicious food. A special shout out to the ladies who found the time to provide the home baked treats and two very smart waiters at the halfway house . Lovely! Bev@Carholme

Simply Awesome 👌 After taking my son here for some golf lessons, I can only say this place clearly has the WOW factor! The course itself is impressive, immaculate, maintained to a very high standard and very much has the unspoilt, quintessential rural England feel about it! Nick Fox the golf coach is equally impressive. His positive, thoughtful approach to teaching with the human touch certainly shines through in all he does! The way he conducts himself connecting with the individual, honing in on their character, putting the child at ease throughout is special! His attention to detail and expertise whilst teaching is meticulous but always friendly. In essence, I found the overall ambiance and friendliness of the club, from Ian Dickinson the men’s captain and it’s members generally something it seems is ingrained throughout and certainly somewhere I would wish my son to be! Lincolnshire has some great golfing heritage and this place is unquestionably the jewel in the crown 👑

Played the course today in great cindition, played a four ball with looking to book our society golf holiday next year course was in great condition ,only very small downfall when asking questions to guy in pro shop found him to be slightly rude !! But we all have off days i suppose didnt spoil the days golf , be making more enquieries for next years golf break .

Very good winter golf course. Back 9 was reduced to 8 par 3s and a par 5 to finish. Lots of rain in the weeks before I played but course was still decent. Greens were elite level for the time of year. Very firm and fast, they rolled exceptionally well. I bet they’re lightning fast in the summer. Would highly recommend.

One of the best courses I have played in ages. The course is stunning. From tee to green it is very well maintained. A real challenging course that requires you to be straight off the tee and accurate with your irons. Well placed bunkers and water hazards add to the challenge. Well worth playing!!!

Played Gedney for the first time on 22/09/24. The course was in great condition and enjoyed the quirky layout with some difficult pin positions. The clubhouse is cosy offering great food & drinks & the members are extremely friendly.

Short course compared to others but still really challenging. Very long par 5 and a few short holes too. Always nice to have a drink at the 19th hole. Bar area is nice and staff are very friendly.
