I took Lee's advice when he recommended I didn't need to replace my old draughty Victorian wooden front door with a brand new one.Instead he suggested he could weatherproof it, thereby saving me the cost of a new door and enabling me to keep the characterful door I loved.I'm so glad I was given this option. Lee fitted a picture rail and made + installed 4 floating shelves in our living room. Lee was quality from the off, efficient and very reasonably priced. Great quality of work and was always happy to answer/help with any questions or queries. Would definitely recommend!

Lee was absolutely outstanding from start to finish! He helped me a lot with working out measurements for all the doors, and answered several rounds of questions when I was putting in the order for them. He was also fantastic during the fitting when the doors arrived - so friendly and helpful. He also identified that the door handles we'd ordered were all damaged, helped us when we were selecting a different style and was so flexible when we needed to wait a day to figure everything out. Once the doors were fitted, he also did a great job of re-adjusting a few that had settled a bit and weren't quite latching - they're now great! Lee and his Grandad also did a fantastic job of fitting our new front door too, and went above and beyond to make sure it was just right, including sourcing and fitting some additional trim for the outside so it looked perfect. Would recommend Lee for any joinery jobs you need doing, and will hopefully be working with him again soon for some other jobs we've got around the house!

This is the second job Lee has done for us and I cannot recommend him highly enough. We wanted a bespoke garden room adding on to the back of the house, it was a tricky build due to the age of our house and we wanted to keep an existing outbuilding in situ. Lee was amazing throughout the whole process from the initial design to the finished build, nothing was too much trouble and his personal touch really meant the world to us. The craftsmanship is spot on and such a reasonable price, our room was worth every penny and more, he also made us a brand new garden gate to match!!! Lee is reliable, friendly and left the house and garden spotless after each visit. He's always happy to help with any questions you might have and we'll definitely be using him again in the future 🌟

This is what I would refer to as a proper hardware store. It is a family run business, staff are friendly and very knowledgeable, they will give you advice about the best things to do the job, but they don't try to sell you things that you don't need. They have an impressive range of stock at competitive prices, which they can also deliver if required. My wife has said that she feels comfortable going there to get things to do, unlike some other places she has been. Update, we have now been using Goodwins for over a year and they are our 1st choice of places to go when we need anything for our DIY projects.

All I needed was 3 pieces of skirting to be fixed in my lounge so I enquired on social media with just 1 reply with a 6 month waiting list! Searching on Google, 'Carpenters near me', I contacted 2, one of which was CBS- Kitchen & Bathroom. I thought I must be in cuckoo land, this company wouldn't want to take on such a small job. How wrong was I? Richard quoted a price, I had to double check and even thought, what's the catch as only a quarter of what A N Other had quoted. Richard arrived with all the relevant tools and took longer with the journey and unloading the tools than the job itself. An A+++ job done. He charges a relevant price for excellent work, a truly brilliant carpenter. 👏

I recently had some panelling done by BCS Carpentry, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. From start to finish, his professionalism and craftsmanship were second to none. Not only did he have an exceptional understanding of panelling, but his knowledge of bathrooms and kitchens was also invaluable. He offered great advice on design choices and made sure everything was perfectly executed. The attention to detail was impressive, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. I honestly can’t recommend BCS Carpentry enough, and I will absolutely be using him again for any future projects. Top-notch service all around!

Contacted Charlie regarding to fitted wardrobes. I sent him some pictures from Pinterest regarding what I was looking for. Charlie came round the following week and 3 weeks later I have 2 very beautiful bespoke, made to measure wardrobes. Charlie's works is excellent, he was punctual and tidy.
