Shaun and the team came highly recommended. They certainly have lived up to that billing. SGCS started our extension in January as planned and as we are close to finishing off I thought it would be a good time offer a review of their work. For the first 2 months things progressed brilliantly. We probably did not make things easy for Shaun by deciding to live in during the build, but this was no problem. In fact, nothing was a problem. Week by week the guys moved things to a new part of the house, always maintaining the basics....heat, water, electricity and most importantly TV and Wifi for the kids. What could possibly go wrong? Firstly we found some asbestos, but Shaun still managed to maintain work in other parts of the house whilst the removal was arrange. Then Covid hit. This was when they really demonstrated why they are so highly rated. Those things that could be done continued, but inevitably things came to a halt as materials became difficult to get. The guys never arrived late, in fact they were often on site at 7.30am getting ready to start at 8am. They did their upmost to tidy at the end of the day and battle to keep dust levels to the lowest level was really appreciated. The work ethic was brilliant. You hear horror stories about builders, but SGCS were a credit to Shaun and themselves at all times. We have 2 young children and there was never a concern regarding leaving anything dangerous that they could injure themselves on. We would welcome any of the team back in to our house in the future. They tolerated us being there more that we anticipated as we worked form home during the lockdown and after. Shaun seemed to have an uncanny way of knowing what we wanted and advised on the best way to achieve this. He also managed to save money on some of things that we did not really need, or could do for a better price. Ceiling were raised to make room bigger on his recommendation, hallway widened and living room arch reduced to enlarge room all on Shaun's advice. Shaun has someone for every job. Tiling, window shutters, flooring, etc. It was so nice to see them enjoying their work every day. I think the biggest compliment we can give is that, other than covid, we would not have changed anything. We have got an unbelievable house at the end of it. If there is anything that needs doing to it in future Shaun will be the first person we contact. The most important lesson I have learnt over the last 7 months is not to do a large house extension during a global pandemic......but if you really have to make sure Shaun and the SGCS team are the ones that do it for you!!!

So what can I say about Shaun, his team and SGCS. Whatever I say won’t do justice 💯 This guy and his amazing team, helped build my vision for the world’s 1st hybrid football arena at Addlestone One, Surrey. It was incredible how Shaun listened, advised and built the most incredible football arena, completing the project for us after a false start with the previous guys. Shaun, your my ‘super hero’ for all you have done for KickX. Shaun and his team are fantastic and I would recommend them without a doubt. The weekly meetings we had with Shaun to discuss what work has been done and what lies ahead were very helpful to put our minds at ease that the project is moving swiftly along. Shaun and the boys moved in on 31 October 2022 and were out by May 2023. There was always someone on site which we could speak to and if we needed to problem solve, someone always had a great idea. Throughout the project we need to make some changes and these were never impossible, too late or too difficult to do. We’ve had a few extra jobs lined up which were also completed by Shaun. A special mention to Jim, Simon, Reece and Hamish. Shaun and team, thanks a lot for building our dream home.

Shaun and the SGCS Team completed a ground and first floor extension and entire renovation of our whole home this year. After meeting Shaun at quote and planning stage we were really impressed. We decided to wait 15 months for him to be available which was a tough decision! Now it’s done we know it was 100% worth the wait. All the way through the project Shaun and his guys were excellent. Nothing was ever a problem and any issues or changes we wanted to make throughout were handled with ease. They always arrived when they said they would and were flexible with things throughout. Shaun made some great suggestions which really improved some of our ideas. Special mention to Simon and Mark who were really great and treated the finishing like it was their own home. Shaun’s project management and approach took so much stress out of the process for us and we really trusted it was going to end up how we wanted it. The project was completed on time and within our budget. We would highly recommend SGCS for any job, large or small. We are so pleased with our finished home.

Ryan recently completed the most beautiful tv unit for us. His work was meticulous, matching our exact specifications and making sure that the colours and materials used perfectly blended with the rest of our kitchen/living area, and our electronics all fit neatly within the shelves. Ryan also created cupboards for our utility room, under the stairs, and even a last minute door frame! All were absolutely spot on. Ryan and his team are efficient and considerate in how they work, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Ryan and Lewis recently fitted my new kitchen. It was very easy to liaise with them and they were responsive to requests throughout, making helpful suggestions and coordinating the other trades as work progressed. The attention to detail was impressive and this shows in the final result. I am very happy with the work and would definitely use Orchard Carpentry again should the need arise.

I found Orchard Carpentry via Trust a Trader website. Ryan communicates extremely well and has over delivered on the quality of the projects I asked for. Ryan provides a thoughtful and detailed service, considering all issues and resolving. He produced custom made shelving for two rooms and his attention to detail is second to none. My wife and I are very happy indeed. The price was very fair too, not cheap but not expensive. We will be using Ryan for our kitchen refit, within the next few months, as well as any other carpentry requirements. I wholeheartedly recommend Orchard Carpentry.

I asked Ryan to install a shed, what he did was above and beyond the call of duty, he removed two tons of soil and a load of other trash. Installed a perfect shed on an imperfect base, negotiated wonderfully with a tenant and project managed a waste collection job. Honestly I should have paid him more. He’s brilliant.

We would highly recommend Tom and his team who did an amazing job on our kitchen project, which included ripping out our old kitchen, laying new flooring through the whole of the downstairs and converting the cupboard under the stairs into a dog house. Tom remained true to his quote and was very reliable and trustworthy. He kept us updated regularly and realistically worked with us on our vision. We have future projects and Tom will be our first port of call.

Tom was first recommended to us by a local kitchen company as one of their best carpenters. He fitted our new kitchen which looked fantastic. Tom then laid a new wooden floor throughout the dining and sitting rooms. Once again all laid with precision. Tom has come back this year to put in a new kitchen worktop and prep, screed, and lay kitchen floor plus fit new skirting boards. Tom is a very personable young man works extremely hard and we will use Tom every time.

Tom and his guys were superb for us. Great communication and always on top of things. Real professionals but also very personable. We are so pleased with everything Tom has done in our home. Tom has now led the refurbishment of our kitchen, diner, hallway, utility, downstairs shower room, main bedroom, en-suite and family bathroom. There’s never any nonsense and we enjoy having him around. We tried someone else when Tom wasn’t available and got badly burned. We can’t wait to work with him on our next round! 5 star service. Mick is an absolute perfectionist. A great communicator, who thinks around a brief and idea to give the best outcome. Mick has panelled our bedrooms, put alcove cupboards in our lounge, created a bespoke home office and more! He’s very competitively priced, works quickly and is super friendly and personable. I have been working with Mick on the renovation of my property for over a year and he has carried out many projects including panelling in my daughter’s bedroom and alcove cupboards and floating shelves in a playroom. However, Mick’s assistance in transforming our hallway deserves a review on its own! After being badly let down by a local building company, Mick came in and helped us create the hallway of dreams! We consulted with Mick about how best to create the hallway we wanted and worked together to create designs and source products. Mick completed a new hallway cabinet and matching shoe cupboard, panelling, picture rail, skirting boards and internal doors. The results are outstanding and has completely transformed our hallway. Mick is incredibly talented as well as a true professional and we have already recommended him to all of our local friends.

Hybrid Carpentry did an amazing job transforming our stairs! Mick replaced the carpet with beautiful oak treads and white risers. The team was professional and detail-oriented. We couldn’t be happier with the results—our stairs look stunning!

Michael has helped us to update and transform many rooms in our house, adding much needed storage solutions for the bathroom, washer and dryer cupboard, staircase and alcove cupboards. His attention to detail and problem solving is first class, so much so that we’re already booked in for some fitted wardrobes in 2x rooms.

Refurbishment of existing staircase and galleried landing in early 2024. Works comprised the removal of existing wrought iron balustrades, handrails and nosings and replacing with solid oak handrail, spindles, nosings and baserails. The existing newel posts and staircase strings were retained and clad in oak veneered boarding. The soffit of the top flight of stairs was similarly clad. Finally, new oak veneered treads and risers were installed to the existing staircase. The overall result has completely transformed the hallway and double height reception area and we’re exceptionally pleased with the end result. Harry was very professional and tidy throughout the project. His communication skills and time keeping were exemplary. His workmanship was of the highest quality. Nothing was too much problem. Highly recommended!

Well what can I say about Harry and the How To Cut Limited team. They are true professionals and amazing at their job. We contracted Harry to build a new roof and install new floors for an extension we were having built on our house and I have nothing but good to say about him and his company. The work was simply exceptional, outstanding quality and nothing was a problem. If ever plans had to be tweaked Harry simply worked with the change and made proactive suggestions as to how to make things better. He was respectful and considerate, cleaning up at the end of every day and ensuring my house was secure if he left before I returned in an evening. Although we didn't go ahead with A-Spec for our side-return extension, we were very impressed with Jonathan and how we approached quoting out the build. He was responsive and detailed, so would have no hesitations getting him to quote out future projects.

A-Spec team were professional, tidy, showed great attention to detail throughout the project and an absolute pleasure to work with. We are extremely happy with final results! Would 100% use their services again and highly recommend.

I used A-Spec to replace our front and side door recently. They were able to get high quality doors with custom spec (colour, matching frame, door furniture) at very competitive pricing. Luke did a brilliant job and made replacing the doors look very easy despite the old doors being a nightmare to take out. We’re delighted with the doors and the job done. Any issues we had with the doors when they were delivered has been no trouble to resolve either, with helpful and willing responses

Mine was just a small job, but Paul found time in his busy schedule to fit me in. He replaced a side garage door that was not usual size and made a very good job of it, down the the small details which really helped me.He also made a good job of clearing up all the sawdust and mess. I was VERY pleased with the new door and have been recommending him to my friends. I will certainly use him again for any carpentry.

We've used SM Carpentry for a number of jobs and most recently a new front door installation with draft excluder and fitting a kitchen with a new boiler cupboard. The job he's done was fantastic. He goes above and beyond and never cuts corners. Would 100% recommend and will continue to use for future jobs.
