I don't usually write reviews but Anthony did an unbelievable job! We inheritied some sash bay windows in a conservation area so needed to be renovated like for like. what i thought would be a quick sand and paint job myself turned out to be a nightmare bodged job from the previous owners (car filler and hundreds of screws to cover the rot!) Anthony has brought the back from the dead to their orignal glory and our sash works after being nailed, glued, painted and whatever else shut. Not only the carpentry expertise, he also restored the limestone sill, removing the old concrete that was causing it to crack! I honestly think there's not many people who would have been able to fix what we had, he really is a jack of all trades and a master of all of them based off what he did and he's a great guy, will be giving him a call when we next need something

Anthony was marvellous. He repaired my newel post quickly and efficiently. We are very happy with his work and he even kindly tended to an odd job that helped me out a lot. I'm very pleased I chose him to do the work and thoroughly recommend you do the same. He even made a video for me which I can't upload, but see photos.

Anthony refurbished five sash windows and installed a new one in place of an aluminium one, along with maintenance to the window sills - they now run smoothly and look smart with new hardware. He takes pride in his work and its of a good standard, I would recommend him.

We got in touch with Toby having followed his work on social media. We had reached the end of a large renovation project and needed some bespoke carpentry items to fit some quirky spaces - fitted ‘open style’ wardrobes in our dresser maximising space, converting a strange shower cupboard in my daughter’s bedroom into some huge storage cupboards (making good the surrounding area), building corner bookshelves in my husband’s study. And creating a storage unit to hide our TV/Console items! On initial meeting, Toby took time to understand our requirements, creating excellent drawings which brought these to life. I got to select the finish in farrow & ball paint to match our rooms, they look fabulous! The products were made and installed with great efficiency. Toby and his team were perfectionists on site and didn’t complete the project until they/us were 100% happy. We would highly recommend his services.

Toby has done further work for us adding hooks mounted on oak to the back of a door. Super job again. Toby did a top job, replacing all our bedroom doors. We're very pleased with the doors and the quality of the work is excellent. We will definitely use Militao again when we need bespoke carpentry completed.

Toby and his colleague Aaron replaced all of our old internal doors with 13 new oak doors which have transformed the look of our house. Toby was very responsive to questions before the work and was the only provider I asked to quote who responded quickly in fact within 24 hours. He suggested slightly different doors to those I proposed which while of the same quality were slightly cheaper. The work was undertaken in a very professional manner and we are very pleased with the outcome and in fact are considering having further work done by Militao Carpentry. They were happy working round our inquisitive dogs, protected the carpets, cleared up at the end of each day (the work took a week) and were always polite and flexible. I would happily recommend.

Durabuild (Luke and Ben) built a large kitchen extension for us and also rebuilt our utility room and cloakroom. Throughout the project we found Luke and Ben to be highly professional and effective in managing issues and working with our plans. They coordinated a great team of trades around them and were always able to find solutions to issues. They were always punctual and communicated well. They were a pleasure to have in the house during the project, they have a definite "can-do" attitude and the finished build was really great. We have since had them back to fit a new ensuite successfully as a second project and we would be happy to recommend them to anyone contemplating building work.

I highly recommend choosing Durabuild for jobs big and small. Since we found them they have carried out all the work on our house and we wouldn’t choose anyone else. They have done major work including an extensive kitchen renovation and fit and a loft conversion, also smaller jobs like replacing all doors and architraves and replacing the banisters on the stairs. Their work is always carried out to and exceptional standard with as little disruption to the household and neighbours as possible. The site is always left clean and tidy and the same can be said for all of the various trades they bring in to complete the job. Ben and Luke have also been a great source of advice while we have considered doing various projects helping us get the best value from their work and enhancement to the property.

The BEST service I have ever received! Ian was super quick to respond to my enquiries and completed the job in the given time. We also had a few set backs on our side but Ian so professionally worked around them and even completed a few little jobs in between too! We are thrilled with our brand new built-in living room cabinets, which Ian custom-made to fit all of our belongings. The level of skill, accuracy and attentiveness of Ian’s work is unbeaten. Ian has just completed his fourth carpentry job in my home and garden. All have been completed on time, on estimate and are of great quality. We first encountered Ian some little while back when an oak outer door was jamming. A familiar and fixable problem caused by the elements?. Perhaps: save that, in this instance, Ian's diagnosis was that the underlying issue was the very manner in which the door had been constructed. In next to no time, he'd solved the issue and the door has never given us another minute's trouble. Such that when a similar jamming issue (to do with building settlement) arose recently in relation to a couple of interior doors, we regarded Ian as the go-to carpenter. As before, the work was carried out expertly, promptly and at very fair rates. For good measure, he assembled an item of flat-pack garden furniture which had arrived with damaged but, in the right hands, fixable parts. Did I mention his can-do mentality and the care and attention to leave no trace of a mess behind?. Do yourself a favour: make a note of Ian's number🤙.

Luke did an excellent job of fixing a new internal door and realigning another door that was not closing properly. Luke also helped fix a pillar in the porch area as well as mounting security devices in my home. We are very pleased with the quality of Luke's work, his friendliness and willingness to take on last minute requests, all at reasonable rates. We hope to use him again and would recommend him without hesitation.

Focus Carpentry (Luke) are a fantastic little Gem of a tradesperson to keep in your armoury. Luke communicated well with us throughout the duration of his work and it was completed, on time and on budget (his prices were well bellow competitive quotes). Luke is a master of his trade in my opinion. He cared about the works that he did for us and was a pleasure to have around the house I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Luke and the services that he provides. We spent a long time researching across many kitchen providers for our "forever" kitchen to be installed in our new extension, and are absolutely delighted with our decision to use Boxhill. John and Ash were fabulous in guiding us through the design and different decisions, and the quality of the workmanship, paint and fitting has exceeded our expectations - beyond value for money. I would thoroughly recommend Boxhill, and have in fact used them again for our bedroom wardrobes, with I think is testament enough.

We first met Josh back in September 2023 when we were seeking quotes for a single storey kitchen extension We found Josh to be very friendly and knowledgeable, and we immediatly got the impression he was honest and trustworthy, and we were not wrong! Josh's quotes were very detailed, giving a clear breakdown of all the work and its associated costs, and right from the start we knew exactly what we were getting for our money. One the day work started we were appointed a Project Manager who was very friendly and helpful. A WhatsApp page was setup which proved to be very useful for the times when it was not possible to talk face to face. We always received friendly, helpful and quick responses to our many requests and questions. As the build progressed we quickly realised that we were deaing with a very professional team. All of the work was carried out to a very high standard, and we were constantly amazed at how hard the team worked. Having been very impressed with the standard of work on the extension, we expanded the scope to include a kitchen installation, new patio and numerous other improvements, all of which were carried out to the same high standard of workmanship and professionalism. We are still amazed at the transformation to our house, and we are very grateful to Josh and his team for helping us achieve such a great result. We certainly would highly recommend Josh to anyone considering any type of building work.

We are thrilled with our new space. Josh was brilliant from start to finish. He gave us so much time at tender and was very patient with all our questions. The whole team were a pleasure to have around. Building projects are not an easy process but they all worked around us and our dog with respect. It was really appreciated. Josh and team completed a large kitchen / dining room conversion project for us. Work was completed perfectly, on time, on budget and Josh remained on call for any minor snagging for months after having finished - not that there were many things but he made sure everything was working as expected and as it should be.
