Please believe me when I say that Harry has literally built my roof with just him and his apprentice in 10 days. I can't recommend harry enough, his work ethic and his workmanship is 2nd to none.I will be recommending him to anyone I know who needs a carpenter.

We contracted Harry to build a new roof and install new floors for an extension we were having built on our house and I have nothing but good to say about him and his company. The work was simply exceptional, outstanding quality and nothing was a problem. If ever plans had to be tweaked Harry simply worked with the change and made proactive suggestions as to how to make things better. He was respectful and considerate, cleaning up at the end of every day and ensuring my house was secure if he left before I returned in an evening. Harry and his assistant Fred, always arrived on time, and worked long days to ensure everything was completed on deadline. I can whole heartedly recommend HL Thomson Carpentry and will certainly be using them again in the future.

Well what can I say about Harry and the How To Cut Limited team. They are true professionals and amazing at their job. Always willing to find a solution to get the job done which for us is very important. The work they turn out is to a very, very high standard, on time and on budget. We needed built in shelves, desk and cupboard. We contacted Paul from Cuddington Carpentry who completely understood what we wanted and then proceeded to make and fit it. Paul is an expert in what he does and is very friendly. We would recommend him for all your carpentry and joinery needs.

Paul built fitted wardrobes for our bedroom - he is a fantastic carpenter. He was extremely efficient, friendly and kind and was able complete the whole thing in a day and a half. He was so kind to our little son, who kept trying to join in the building! He has a great eye for design and completes everything he makes to the highest standard. We are so pleased with the end product and can't wait to paint the doors and show them off!

We needed some built in cupboards and floating shelves in an alcove and are absolutely thrilled with Paul's work. He is not only a highly skilled carpenter but also a creative, and his vision and design was far beyond our expectations. We're looking forward to having him back in a few weeks to work on some more areas of the house and have recommended him to all our friends and neighbours. Gerard did a brilliant job with our alcove cabinets and shelving. We are delighted with the result. He listens and has great ideas about what will work functionally and with the design. The price was very reasonable and he left the room tidy.

End result outstanding - looks great and really functional. We asked him to incorporate some wooden slatted shelves and he nailed that too.

Paul did an amazing job and exceeded my expectations in every way. I woul love to give 20 stars if I could. I need transform my Mercdes sprinter into a mobile beauty salon and Paul did a amazing job. It was a big risk for me putting my big project in someone hands and I knew It was his first job converting a van. He exceed my expectations. Update October 2021: We liked our custom shelves/cabinets so much that we had James Carpentry return to install fitted wardrobes in the bedroom (blue wardrobes pictured below). Once again, they did an amazing job and it looks brilliant. Installation and painting was once again done very professionally and in a clean and timely manner. July 2021: We recently bought a flat which didn't have much storage space in it, but had two large alcoves in the living room. After a search of local carpenters, I came across James Carpentry. It is an amazing business and they were so professional from start to finish. Very prompt to answer the initial enquiry and to take measurements/send the designs. During installation and painting, they were very careful to ensure no mess was created/left behind and did a beautiful job. We originally wanted to have completely symmetrical shelves but on installation day they showed us a few options and we ended up liking the asymmetrical style more - which they accommodated! We are so pleased with the final result and will definitely be using James Carpentry again - already put in an enquiry about bedroom storage!

We had an alcove unit made for us and a full length wall fitted wardrobe. The whole team were fab - from the designs, to the door knobs, to how tidy and considerate they were building the units and their attention to detail. Very professional and friendly and excellent quality.

We asked Laszlo to repair our windowsill, repaint front of the house and clean pvc. We’d never used him before but decided to after seeing the good reviews. He first came round to visit the house to discuss the plan. I liked his attitude and clarity. He then came back in a few weeks when he was next free. True to his word he took 2 days to complete the job. It was done to a very high quality standard, we’re really pleased with his work. It was also a reasonable price. Very personable and good communication. So satisfying when you find a carpenter / handyman who you can trust. Will definitely use Laszlos services in the future. 5 stars. Thanks!

Laszlo installed new engineered wood flooring, releveled floor in one room, changed skirting boards and installed new doors for us. He did a great job, especially with the bay window and considering all doors needed adjusting due to the age of the building. Laszlo is on time, polite and tidy! He takes great care and pride in his work and we will use him again in future!

Las completely fixed and restored our wooden bay windows and installed our wooden garage doors. His craftsmanship is excellent plus he got all the jobs finished exactly on time - as he said he would. Really pleased with all the work.

Mick completely transformed our garage into an excellent usable space. We consulted Mick at the outset of the project and he project managed from start to finish including organising separate contractors for plastering and electrics. Mick also provided advice on potential designs for the garage storage and helped with the procurement of products for the storage. Mick is always incredibly responsive, diligent, a perfectionist in his work. He is also incredibly tidy in a workspace! We can’t recommend Mick enough!

Hybrid Carpentry did an amazing job transforming our stairs! Mick replaced the carpet with beautiful oak treads and white risers. The team was professional and detail-oriented. We couldn’t be happier with the results—our stairs look stunning!

Michael has helped us to update and transform many rooms in our house, adding much needed storage solutions for the bathroom, washer and dryer cupboard, staircase and alcove cupboards. His attention to detail and problem solving is first class, so much so that we’re already booked in for some fitted wardrobes in 2x rooms.

Jason has just finished fitting our kitchen for us and has done an amazing job - he is clearly a perfectionist as the fit is flawless. His communication from the point of booking has been great, and on the two days of fitting he helped to problem solve a couple of issues with the kitchen design. Jason was able to take my vision and create a beautiful set of shelves and cupboards for the cosy nook in our kitchen. We were provided with a 5* service throughout. Jason was quick to respond to messages and completed the work to an excellent standard, we would definitely recommend.

We asked Jason for a quote to replace our kitchen worktops and install a new sink. He replied very quickly and started 5 days later. He did an excellent job, took everything away and tidied up afterwards. The worktops were very dark and now we have a lovely bright kitchen. We highly recommend Jason.

Jason and Harry carried out a total renovation of our bathroom. They were punctual and tidy. The quality of the workmanship was excellent and I have no hesitation in using them again or highly recommending them.

Ryan was recommended to us, and he certainly lived up to that recommendation. There were 6 of us in the block and he completed all the new fire door installations very efficiently, with patience and friendliness. I asked Ryan to install a shed, what he did was above and beyond the call of duty, he removed two tons of soil and a load of other trash. Installed a perfect shed on an imperfect base, negotiated wonderfully with a tenant and project managed a waste collection job. Honestly I should have paid him more. He’s brilliant.

Ryan recently completed the most beautiful tv unit for us. His work was meticulous, matching our exact specifications and making sure that the colours and materials used perfectly blended with the rest of our kitchen/living area, and our electronics all fit neatly within the shelves. Ryan also created cupboards for our utility room, under the stairs, and even a last minute door frame! All were absolutely spot on. Ryan and his team are efficient and considerate in how they work, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Ryan and Lewis recently fitted my new kitchen. It was very easy to liaise with them and they were responsive to requests throughout, making helpful suggestions and coordinating the other trades as work progressed.
