Luke has done a lot of work for us.... and there is still quite a bit to do! I hired CVH to build a bookcase and cupboard . I chose CVH as they gave the most competitive quote and time estimate for installation. They were also very professional, practical, and efficient, I’m glad to say that they entirely lived up to my expectations and completed the project on time and on budget. I’m delighted with the end result . I really enjoyed working with them and would thoroughly recommend them.

We wanted an understairs wine cellar in solid oak, CVF came up with a great design and executed it to perfection. The craftsmanship is absolute top quality and the lengths they went to to ensure the oak matched our flooring was exceptional. I would highly recomend them and won’t hesitate in using them for any future projects.

We needed some built in cupboards and floating shelves in an alcove and are absolutely thrilled with Paul's work. Paul built fitted wardrobes for our bedroom - he is a fantastic carpenter. He was extremely efficient, friendly and kind and was able complete the whole thing in a day and a half. He was so kind to our little son, who kept trying to join in the building! He has a great eye for design and completes everything he makes to the highest standard. We are so pleased with the end product and can't wait to paint the doors and show them off!

Rob and the team have spent 14 weeks building a side extension to our house involving a new garage and a glass-roofed garden room. We are delighted with the result which is totally reflective of the architects plans and the project even came in on budget too! During the build process Rob was always responsive to our input and no request was too much trouble for him and the team. We have found Southern Contractors to be a pleasure to work with and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Choosing a building company is a complicated process. We looked for good reputation and crucially people we would feel comfortable working with. Rob and his team fit these criteria extremely well. Rob's mantra is - avoid problems by talking things through. All large projects hit unexpected issues but we felt comfortable with the team's approach which was one of presenting us with solutions not problems.

Our project was particularly complex, replacing in its entirety a large roof structure with an additional storey in a contemporary style and completely reconfiguring the ground floor. Southern Contractors were recommended to us and they did not let us down. Rob and his team worked tirelessly, keeping us informed every step of the way. With a build this complicated there was always going to be unexpected challenges but nothing phases Rob. He is totally solution orientated, often thinking outside of the box and suggesting alterations that proved more practical than the original plans. His attitude is, whatever you want, he will make it happen. He’s such a positive person, responds quickly to all communication and goes above and beyond to support you though what can be a very difficult process; we’ve all seen Grand Designs! Rob’s team were totally reliable and never let us down. Southern Contractors have built us the most spectacular home and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them.

We used Southern Contractors to renovate an old Bakehouse and create a stunning and contemporary retail space. It was an ambitious time frame but Rob and his team worked tirelessly to deliver on time and we could not be happier with the quality of work, finish and general aesthetic of the building. They faced problems, as you would expect when working in a busy High Street with limited access but every problem was dealt with immediately, in a sympathetic and professional manor. We would have no hesitation in recommending Southern Contractors, they are a great team to work.

Outside the house, Rafal made and installed 2 doors with framework. The doors and frameworks are sturdy, secure and fit well. Rafal is pleasant and friendly and cleared up well afterwards. His standard of work is high and we would be pleased to use him again.
