I've appointed Elm Carpentry on two jobs for my house. The first was a large remodelling of two rooms, installation of kitchen and associated works. I found Gary and the team really good to work with. They were forever present on the job, never a missed day. They were punctual. Tidied up the site well at the end of each day. And quality of their work was first rate. I also really appreciated the approach as they were always open to discuss changes to the scope and were happy to provide advice and guidance on all matters. A true artisan of joinery. Jack has built all sorts for me over the years…bespoke kitchen (it looked amazing), living room storage/media unit, wardrobes, dressing rooms and even an outdoor kitchen. He’s the best there is and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Excellent company. Fantastic communication from start to finish. Ed listened to what type of bar I wanted , did an initial site visit then put together detailed plans which he sent across for review. The end result was even better than I had hoped for. The finish and workmanship was excellent and Harry and the two guys who came to install were great to deal with and did a meticulous job. We spent a couple of years working design features with our architect and getting planning permission for our 3 bay car barn. We ran a competitive pricing process and were very impressed with the enthusiasm and attention to detail by Richard. This came through in the construction and in the culture of the Barnwood team as we met and worked with Callum, Haydn, Ben and Chris. Tabitha was also the engine that drove the project from the program, cost and contract perspective always overcoming those pesky issues that arise. This was not a straightforward build. Ground conditions, retaining wall, levels, existing structures all had to be either built, removed or adapted to suit. Richard and the team kept the site spotless and did everything in house. It’s such a pleasure to meet craftsmen that care and have the capability to meet conditions and solve the issues of the day in their stride. We will continue to use Barnwood as we improve our home and its grounds. Having spent 40 years in the construction industry I found this build a pleasure to be involved with and can wholeheartedly recommend the Barnwood team

Richard and his team were great when we called them up to repair some rotting timbers on our 400yr old cottage! They took everything on their stride and kept us informed every step. They were clean and tidy, and completed the job on time and budget. Richard also returned at short notice a few weeks later when we found another very rotten timber. All work was carried out to an exceptional standard and blends in with the original wall perfectly. Highly recommended, and worth waiting for.

Really good experience. It was great to find a well established company that was not only prepared to take on a small bespoke job, but did quality work and was also reasonably priced. They treated us, and the job, with respect and professionalism. The job itself was building a bespoke hallway cupboard which they did really nicely. It looks great and fits perfectly in the space.

Jamie of Farnham Woodwork has undertaken two projects for us over the past few months, one exterior and one interior. He designed and built a beautiful decking area with integrated pergola, which has magically transformed our garden. We are so excited about what it will add to our lives, especially with Summer approaching. In our living room he created a wonderful multi-media cabinet to house our television and all associated audio-visual equipment. He worked with us through a very helpful design consultation and achieved our brief far beyond our expectations, the result is truly stunning! Jamie rebuilt the pergola in our garden and he was a delight from start to finish. He was incredibly engaged in the project and his enthusiasm for our garden, the work that’s was needed, immediately put me at ease and I knew that we were in safe hands. I thoroughly recommend Jamie and Farnham Woodwork to anyone planning an indoor or outdoor woodwork project! I used Andrew to build some bespoke bench seating for a new kitchen and he was completely professional from start to finish. ARM Building & Carpentry did a fantastic job installing wooden flooring throughout downstairs of our home as well as installing additional kitchen units. Ross carried out the work in a very professional manner and we would highly recommend. We have requested further work from this company to build new wardrobes.
