We cannot recommend Matthew and his team highly enough. They recently designed, made and installed bookcases/ cabinets in our home office and we are absolutely delighted with them. Matthew guided us through the process from initial design discussions to the installation, with care and complete professionalism. He advised us at every stage of the process and considered everything down to the smallest of details. The end result is better than we had hoped for.

Matthew and his team designed our master bedroom and dressing room wardrobes. From the initial meeting with Matthew at his workshop, to the completion, the whole team have been professional, timely, efficient and friendly. The process has been very smooth with information regarding installation dates being communicated frequently. Upon completion of the wardrobes, we decided that we needed an understair cupboard and Matthew obliged! All of the furniture looks very in keeping with our cottage, is of excellent quality and finish. We cannot recommend Matthew Roberts Carpentry highly enough.

Matthew has been really supportive and patient as we went through the design process for our bookcase. Visiting his workshop and going through all of the options was really useful and helped us understand exactly what we were after, especially seeing where the work would be done. Now the bookcase has been installed we could not be happier and the quality of the work is excellent. I would whole heartedly recommended Matthew for his carpentry.

We first met Josh back in September 2023 when we were seeking quotes for a single storey kitchen extension We found Josh to be very friendly and knowledgeable, and we immediatly got the impression he was honest and trustworthy, and we were not wrong! Josh's quotes were very detailed, giving a clear breakdown of all the work and its associated costs, and right from the start we knew exactly what we were getting for our money. One the day work started we were appointed a Project Manager who was very friendly and helpful. A WhatsApp page was setup which proved to be very useful for the times when it was not possible to talk face to face. We always received friendly, helpful and quick responses to our many requests and questions. As the build progressed we quickly realised that we were deaing with a very professional team. All of the work was carried out to a very high standard, and we were constantly amazed at how hard the team worked. Having been very impressed with the standard of work on the extension, we expanded the scope to include a kitchen installation, new patio and numerous other improvements, all of which were carried out to the same high standard of workmanship and professionalism. We are still amazed at the transformation to our house, and we are very grateful to Josh and his team for helping us achieve such a great result. We certainly would highly recommend Josh to anyone considering any type of building work.

Josh and team completed a large kitchen / dining room conversion project for us. Work was completed perfectly, on time, on budget and Josh remained on call for any minor snagging for months after having finished - not that there were many things but he made sure everything was working as expected and as it should be. John Mills and Sons, altered our kitchen, changing cupboards, building a bespoke unit, fitting new worktop, new sink, and new tiles. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Extremely high standard of workmanship. Absolutely delighted with out new kitchen. Would highly recommend.

We have used John and his sons to create bespoke built-in cupboards and wardrobes; create a false wall for fire and tv inserts; change doors and door fittings and they will soon be installing a new kitchen for us. Every job has been completed to an extremely high standard and we now wouldn't use anyone else. They are totally trustworthy, reliable and very pleasant to have in your home.

I used this company initially to replace my mirrored wardrobe doors and was so pleased, i asked them to build a false wall in my lounge to insert my tv and an electric fire. Challenge Neal with any space and he'll make a brilliant unit or cupboard to fit! Highly recommend, especially for shoe storage when it's impossible to find the right unit anywhere else. Reasonably priced, efficient, courteous and very professional. You can't really go wrong!

Neal made me a long wanted under stairs cupboard and it does everything I wanted - holds 3 sets of golf clubs, 5 people’s shoes, laptops, monitors and printer . We looked at companies that specialise in under stairs cupboards but their modules did not suit our needs. It is totally bespoke and holds everything that was previously all around my hallway behind closed doors! Neal is a very efficient, neat and tidy worker who produced a very high quality product. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for some carpentry or joinery work.

We first employed Neil to build a bespoke storage unit in our utility room. Neil was fantastic. He was great at translating our ideas into paper and worked quickly and efficiently. We were so happy with the work, we asked him to build bespoke wardrobes for our master and second bedroom. He has done a brilliant job and the end product exceeded our expectations. Focus Carpentry (Luke) are a fantastic little Gem of a tradesperson to keep in your armoury. Luke communicated well with us throughout the duration of his work and it was completed, on time and on budget (his prices were well bellow competitive quotes). Luke is a master of his trade in my opinion. He cared about the works that he did for us and was a pleasure to have around the house I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Luke and the services that he provides. Luke did an excellent job of fixing a new internal door and realigning another door that was not closing properly. Luke also helped fix a pillar in the porch area as well as mounting security devices in my home. We are very pleased with the quality of Luke's work, his friendliness and willingness to take on last minute requests, all at reasonable rates. Chris was very prompt in his initial reply to my enquiry. Had a couple of quotes and went with Chris mainly because unlike the 2 carpenters that quoted and could only do the woodwork, his team took on the whole project including woodwork, plastering and electrics (which were sub contracted) but meant i didn’t have to deal with multiple trades/people or issues with fitting them in around each other. Rich and Michael came to do the work, both were polite, professional, kept things as tidy as possible taking a wall down under the stairs and custom building cupboards, drawers, wine rack, shelves and space for fridge as requested. Very pleased with end result.

Selected as Chris visited to assess the work and offered solutions to issues and he listened to high detail and level of finish required. A professional outfit with excellent attention to detail and Chris made visits to oversee progress. Rich our daily visitor was a pleasure to host him daily and his own level of attention to detail is outstanding. He even rounded off an edge on door threshold so that grandchildren didn't get injured. Existing Kitchen doors cut to new size required were to an excellent finish and all trims matched in perfectly. All visitors (approx5) were courteous and all mess cleaned up frequently. If you want a job done well, then select the best.

Toby has done further work for us adding hooks mounted on oak to the back of a door. Super job again. Toby did a top job, replacing all our bedroom doors. We're very pleased with the doors and the quality of the work is excellent. We will definitely use Militao again when we need bespoke carpentry completed.

We got in touch with Toby having followed his work on social media. We had reached the end of a large renovation project and needed some bespoke carpentry items to fit some quirky spaces - fitted ‘open style’ wardrobes in our dresser maximising space, converting a strange shower cupboard in my daughter’s bedroom into some huge storage cupboards (making good the surrounding area), building corner bookshelves in my husband’s study. And creating a storage unit to hide our TV/Console items! On initial meeting, Toby took time to understand our requirements, creating excellent drawings which brought these to life. I got to select the finish in farrow & ball paint to match our rooms, they look fabulous! The products were made and installed with great efficiency. Toby and his team were perfectionists on site and didn’t complete the project until they/us were 100% happy. We would highly recommend his services.

Toby designed and fitted some beautiful cupboards for us. We Have been using them for 6 months now, can tell the quality is good- absolutely no problems. Brilliant communication and also allowed us to change the design (from shaker style to a more traditional finish) at last minute which didn’t affect the final quote.
