Mitchell O'born Carpentry did a fantastic job. Fitting very heavy doors upto 50kg with precison lining up the new to old hinge cutouts. 11 doors fitted in total all matching designs but varying in size and weight. He was extremely helpful in the consultation phase and I found him to be very trustworthy, polite and very clean. I'd like to point out his level of craft is top "notch" highly recommended.

Mitch has done a great job replacing skirting boards and kitchen unit plinths. We have used his services several times and he is always prompt and helpful as well as being a talented carpenter.

I Recently had AB Carpentry build 2x internal stud walls as part of our extension modifications. Aaron was precise, timely, on budget and polite. I could see he understood what was meant to be done and was happy to leave him on his own in our house. I will definitely use him again in the future and would definitely recommend him. Aaron and his team were fantastic. I had my decking replaced last week and was very impressed with the end product. They were very tidy, took away all waste without any fuss and as you'll see from the pictures, it looks great. He also fitted some lights I supplied myself, no questions asked. Price was very reasonable too. Would recommend.

This review is a bit late in coming but so well deserved. This is actually the second time that Aaron has completed my loft conversion after we had a fire which destroyed the previous conversion. Aaron and his team are experienced, knowledgeable and extremely friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble and if I wanted to change anything it was never a problem. I'm hoping to not need a third attempt but wouldn't hesitate to use AB Carpentry again for any projects. Highly recommended and happy to be contacted if needed.

We are so happy with our bespoke chimney breast that Ben built for us. He knew exactly what we wanted and he really delivered. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He sourced the materials so that we could have the rustic look we wanted and the results are amazing. I would definitely recommend Ben. In fact, we have more jobs lined up for him.

Ben was fantastic. We sent a rough drawing of the bookcase we wanted and photos of the room, Ben came round to take measurements and sent through a quote within a few days. Ben was incredibly respectful of our home and despite the type of work, at the end of every day the room was very clean and tidy. The job took at few days and the craftsmanship/precision was perfect. The outcome is better than we had hoped and we receive compliments anytime anyone new comes to visit.

Ben came to fix two doors which were not closing properly and a large headboard which had come off the wall. This was not a major job for him but he was efficient and did an excellent job. He left the rooms spotlessly clean and was a really nice person to deal with.

Ben has just built an entertainment wall cabinet for us and we are delighted with the finish. The quality of his workmanship is excellent and he is most polite and tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to my friends

I have worked with Archer Carpentry on a number of projects and have always been pleased with the service and quality of craftsmanship. Highly recommend.

We have used Archer Carpentry for roof line changes and to fit our Handmade Kitchens of Christchurch kitchen. On both occasions Matt and his team were polite, on time, well organised and very quick and tidy. If there were any unexpected glitches Matt found a solution and fixed it without drama. I felt they were very fairly priced, honest and great people to work with. I would absolutely recommend Archer Carpentry and would definitely use them again.

We had Nick build fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. He’s was extremely helpful with identifying a supplier for the doors, we chose IKEA internals which he assembled into the space we had giving us wall to wall wardrobes. He also installed the sliding doors which gave a great finish to the whole project. He also fitted some made to measure shelving in a relatively small gap which gave some additional storage. He was also very helpful getting the paint to match the IKEA colour. A separate project we intended to do ourselves but Nick correctly convinced us he would do it better, he built panelling along one wall of the bedroom which looks great. Always communicated what he was doing and very flexible if we couldn’t be in the house.

Nick did an amazing job fitting 2 doors last year (pic1), so we had him back to fit 5 second floor doors. He overcame plenty of issues with the door frames and door handles but with perseverance he did a fantastic job. He’s very particular which is really good and does not do shabby work, he’s booked in for another job which I wouldn’t have anyone else to do. Definitely recommend 100%. 12/12/23 I’d thought I’ll add a few more comments and pictures as I’m unable to post a new review. Nick did a very good job replacing 3 doors which was a far from an easy job the frames being out of line. He also modified some new cupboards and fitted them on the wall. Super job, nice obliging chap very helpful recommended.

After five years of having Nick as our carpenter it has suddenly dawned on me we have never left a review!! What a terrible oversight. Nick is amazing. No job too big or too small and each undertaken with meticulous care and attention to detail. Nick has moved and refitted doors, built a wardrobe, redesigned a fitted wardrobe, rebuilt stairs and repaired several external wet rot damaged window ledges. We have been more than happy with all the work Nick has undertaken. Living in an old house, having moved from a modern vicarage, there are always maintenance carpentry jobs that need doing to keep the house in good repair and no walls are straight making many jobs challenging. But Nick undertakes them all with careful consideration, patience and expertise. He is honest and trustworthy and we are thrilled to have found Nick and wouldn’t have any other carpenter. We would recommend Woods Contemporary Carpentry unreservedly.
