This is the first review I've ever done but I think it is important to let prospective customers know how good these guys are. They are polite, respectful, conscientious and friendly. Their work is of the highest quality and they are so hardworking. They contacted me quickly after I made my enquiry and were in regular contact regarding the supplies and dates throughout and were happy to talk through my ideas/ concerns. They worked all day outside building my liniar fence in the most horrendous weather and completed the work quickly. It looks amazing. I would definitely recommend this company and use them again.

Mitchell O'born Carpentry did a fantastic job. Fitting very heavy doors upto 50kg with precison lining up the new to old hinge cutouts. 11 doors fitted in total all matching designs but varying in size and weight. He was extremely helpful in the consultation phase and I found him to be very trustworthy, polite and very clean. I'd like to point out his level of craft is top "notch" highly recommended.

Mitch has done a brilliant job of fitting several internal oak doors for us, and a new external door. He is friendly, courteous, tidy and takes great care of our home while he’s working. Wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him.

I was looking to book a benchmarking experience to do with my siblings and dad for his 70th. I couldn’t find anyone who offered this but after messaging a lot of paces, Ross was the only one who replied saying he would be very happy to help do this for us. Ross was incredibly helpful in organising this experience from the designs to the selection of wood and being so accommodating to the dates that worked for us. We did it over a weekend under his fantastic supervision and help who had everything planned out for us! I couldn’t recommend this any more. A brilliant experience, incredibly fun and came out of it with a beautiful bench.

So pleased I made a call to ‘Little Island carpentry’ last year. I hadn’t even looked at the website but I liked the company name….good enough reason! We soon found out that Ross is extremely personable and his work is immaculate. He takes such pride in doing things well and our hall cupboard looked really smart & tidy after he had installed shelving and built housing around the electric meter & fuse box. Recently he went above and beyond when asked to install new kitchen cupboard doors for us….We thought the carcasses would be ok as the apartment is fairly new. However it turned out they were all out of alignment due to initial poor installation. Many others may have covered this up…but not Ross…thankfully! He set to making everything right before fixing the new doors and now we have a brand new kitchen - it’s perfect in every way. Ross never complains and always looks for solutions. His knowledge and commitment to his work is outstanding He is also a genuinely nice person and I cannot recommend him highly enough - you won’t be disappointed.

Jonny fitted nine doors at my house last year. Firstly he is a really nice guy, secondly he is a good carpenter, and lastly nothing is too much trouble. For example I wanted to instal the old doors at my daughters and Jonny took them all over there for me in his van. I was very satisfied with the workmanship, he has the right tools, knows how to use them, and the end result has lifted the whole house. He did most of the cutting outside to reduce the dust inside, but hey its wood working and it makes some sawdust. I thoroughly recommend Jonny, he has good attention to detail, cleans up after himself, will happily adjust anything once it’s fitted, and his prices are competitive.

Can’t recommend Jonny enough! Clean, tidy & professional. Very happy with our custom build cupboards/shelves and the fitting of new doors throughout the house.

Jonny turned an unusable roof terrace into an absolutely beautiful outdoor entertaining area. His skills were second to none and a pleasure to work with. He wasn’t satisfied with the job until I was and never said no to anything! 5 stars was an understatement. We’ll be working together again for sure. If it’s carpentry/ outdoor kitchens you’re after, you’ll be silly not to give him a call.

Timber Tim recently provided his one of a kind service with creating the decked veranda that we were in big need of, following build works to our home. He made the entire experience from start to finish exceed all of our expectations. Tim as a person is a rare find in the world we live in, and his workmanship is second to none, alongside his understanding of our situation and set up was extraordinarily kind and accommodating. We are beyond happy with what Tim has created and recommend him very, very highly with any timber needs, requirements and potential designs. We cannot thank you enough!

We’re so delighted with the bed Tim built for Sophie, it is exactly what we wanted. It’s beautifully designed and constructed. Tim is so efficient, skilful and tidy and clearly takes pride in his work. The price was really reasonable and Tim was very happy to listen to our ideas and adapt things accordingly. I once walked past Tim’s business and he was making a lovely tree house for some lucky children. My son was needing a cabin bed to make the most of the space he has in his room and whilst I found a few around they were either too tall, too long or too flimsy. I approached Tim and showed him the design I was after but with some tweaks. He arranged a time to come round and measure up, making sure it’d fit and importantly fit up the stairs. We discussed materials and finish, as well as the nice touch of a small shelf for a nightlight, book and water bottle. Tim took the time to go over everything as well as suggesting varnishes etc. When it was ready Tim popped by and assembled it in the morning before my son got home that evening. It’s meant my son can now have his computer in his room for homework and gaming as well as the Xbox. There’s some nice shelves where he can put his books, Warhammer models and various bits and bobs. His desk chair can fit underneath, though he mainly uses his beanbag. You just can’t get that from a shop made cabin bed with the ceiling height he’s got. There’s some cable tidying to do! You can tell Tim loves what he does and takes immense pride in his work. I’m quite envious of him for that. When my son came home he was surprised by it and called me the best dad in the world. So thank you Tim!
