Ben came to fix two doors which were not closing properly and a large headboard which had come off the wall. This was not a major job for him but he was efficient and did an excellent job. He left the rooms spotlessly clean and was a really nice person to deal with.

Ben has just built an entertainment wall cabinet for us and we are delighted with the finish. The quality of his workmanship is excellent and he is most polite and tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to my friends

Ben was fantastic. We sent a rough drawing of the bookcase we wanted and photos of the room, Ben came round to take measurements and sent through a quote within a few days. Ben was incredibly respectful of our home and despite the type of work, at the end of every day the room was very clean and tidy. The job took at few days and the craftsmanship/precision was perfect. The outcome is better than we had hoped and we receive compliments anytime anyone new comes to visit.

We are so happy with our bespoke chimney breast that Ben built for us. He knew exactly what we wanted and he really delivered. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He sourced the materials so that we could have the rustic look we wanted and the results are amazing. I would definitely recommend Ben. In fact, we have more jobs lined up for him.

Nick did an amazing job fitting 2 doors last year (pic1), so we had him back to fit 5 second floor doors. He overcame plenty of issues with the door frames and door handles but with perseverance he did a fantastic job. He’s very particular which is really good and does not do shabby work, he’s booked in for another job which I wouldn’t have anyone else to do. We had Nick build fitted wardrobes with sliding doors. He’s was extremely helpful with identifying a supplier for the doors, we chose IKEA internals which he assembled into the space we had giving us wall to wall wardrobes. He also installed the sliding doors which gave a great finish to the whole project. He also fitted some made to measure shelving in a relatively small gap which gave some additional storage. He was also very helpful getting the paint to match the IKEA colour. A separate project we intended to do ourselves but Nick correctly convinced us he would do it better, he built panelling along one wall of the bedroom which looks great. Always communicated what he was doing and very flexible if we couldn’t be in the house.

Nick did a very good job replacing 3 doors which was a far from an easy job the frames being out of line. He also modified some new cupboards and fitted them on the wall. Super job, nice obliging chap very helpful recommended.

After five years of having Nick as our carpenter it has suddenly dawned on me we have never left a review!! What a terrible oversight. Nick is amazing. No job too big or too small and each undertaken with meticulous care and attention to detail. Nick has moved and refitted doors, built a wardrobe, redesigned a fitted wardrobe, rebuilt stairs and repaired several external wet rot damaged window ledges. We have been more than happy with all the work Nick has undertaken. Living in an old house, having moved from a modern vicarage, there are always maintenance carpentry jobs that need doing to keep the house in good repair and no walls are straight making many jobs challenging. But Nick undertakes them all with careful consideration, patience and expertise. He is honest and trustworthy and we are thrilled to have found Nick and wouldn’t have any other carpenter. We would recommend Woods Contemporary Carpentry unreservedly.

I Recently had AB Carpentry build 2x internal stud walls as part of our extension modifications. Aaron was precise, timely, on budget and polite. Aaron and his team were fantastic. I had my decking replaced last week and was very impressed with the end product. They were very tidy, took away all waste without any fuss and as you'll see from the pictures, it looks great. He also fitted some lights I supplied myself, no questions asked. Toby did an amazing job fixing our very creaky stairs, and two split stair steps.. The stair case sounded awful, you know they are bad when even your cat cant climb the stairs quietly, they also moved when we walked down them.. Toby secured them and resolved the creaking. Toby also fixed 3 ill fitting bedroom doors that would not close. We are very pleased with his work and even have quotes for some more work to be done. We would not hesitate to recommend Toby Home improvements, no job really is too small.

Very pleased with the work that Toby completed for us. We had 2 new internal doors fitted, he fitted them with great care and to a very high standard. Toby responded quickly when I emailed to ask if he could complete the work and on the day arrived promptly. He was very helpful when I needed to order new parts on the day of fitting. Toby left the house very tired after a lot of drilling/sanding. I will be booking Toby again to fit some further doors for us. 100% recommend

Mitchell O'born Carpentry did a fantastic job. Fitting very heavy doors upto 50kg with precison lining up the new to old hinge cutouts. 11 doors fitted in total all matching designs but varying in size and weight. He was extremely helpful in the consultation phase and I found him to be very trustworthy, polite and very clean. I'd like to point out his level of craft is top "notch" highly recommended.

Oly fitted cupboards in our kitchen, office and living room which all look brilliant. He made them in three different styles and was able to accommodate all our requests, even as we kept changing them. On top of that, he is very friendly and good to chat with. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Oly fitted did a fantastic job fitting my new kitchen. He was on time each day and was very understanding when I had to delay the job by a few days.
