Shaun and the SGCS Team completed a ground and first floor extension and entire renovation of our whole home this year. After meeting Shaun at quote and planning stage we were really impressed. We decided to wait 15 months for him to be available which was a tough decision! Now it’s done we know it was 100% worth the wait. All the way through the project Shaun and his guys were excellent. Nothing was ever a problem and any issues or changes we wanted to make throughout were handled with ease. They always arrived when they said they would and were flexible with things throughout. Shaun made some great suggestions which really improved some of our ideas. Special mention to Simon and Mark who were really great and treated the finishing like it was their own home. Shaun’s project management and approach took so much stress out of the process for us and we really trusted it was going to end up how we wanted it. The project was completed on time and within our budget. We would highly recommend SGCS for any job, large or small. We are so pleased with our finished home.

We’ve just finished a full house renovation with Shaun and his team and had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. I can’t recommend SGCS highly enough. They really have delivered us our dream home! They are very professional, always arriving on time and working hard while also being very flexible when needed. It was an absolute pleasure to have them at the house. The whole team were so polite and friendly doing anything they could to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted. Whatever I say won’t do justice 💯 This guy and his amazing team, helped build my vision for the world’s 1st hybrid football arena at Addlestone One, Surrey. It was incredible how Shaun listened, advised and built the most incredible football arena, completing the project for us after a false start with the previous guys. Shaun and the team came highly recommended. They certainly have lived up to that billing. SGCS started our extension in January as planned and as we are close to finishing off I thought it would be a good time offer a review of their work. For the first 2 months things progressed brilliantly. We probably did not make things easy for Shaun by deciding to live in during the build, but this was no problem. In fact, nothing was a problem. Week by week the guys moved things to a new part of the house, always maintaining the basics....heat, water, electricity and most importantly TV and Wifi for the kids. What could possibly go wrong? Firstly we found some asbestos, but Shaun still managed to maintain work in other parts of the house whilst the removal was arrange. Then Covid hit. This was when they really demonstrated why they are so highly rated. Those things that could be done continued, but inevitably things came to a halt as materials became difficult to get. The guys never arrived late, in fact they were often on site at 7.30am getting ready to start at 8am. They did their upmost to tidy at the end of the day and battle to keep dust levels to the lowest level was really appreciated. The work ethic was brilliant. You hear horror stories about builders, but SGCS were a credit to Shaun and themselves at all times. We have 2 young children and there was never a concern regarding leaving anything dangerous that they could injure themselves on. We would welcome any of the team back in to our house in the future. They tolerated us being there more that we anticipated as we worked form home during the lockdown and after. Shaun seemed to have an uncanny way of knowing what we wanted and advised on the best way to achieve this. He also managed to save money on some of things that we did not really need, or could do for a better price. Ceiling were raised to make room bigger on his recommendation, hallway widened and living room arch reduced to enlarge room all on Shaun's advice. Shaun has someone for every job. Tiling, window shutters, flooring, etc. It was so nice to see them enjoying their work every day. I think the biggest compliment we can give is that, other than covid, we would not have changed anything. We have got an unbelievable house at the end of it. If there is anything that needs doing to it in future Shaun will be the first person we contact. The most important lesson I have learnt over the last 7 months is not to do a large house extension during a global pandemic......but if you really have to make sure Shaun and the SGCS team are the ones that do it for you!!!

Matthew has been really supportive and patient as we went through the design process for our bookcase. Visiting his workshop and going through all of the options was really useful and helped us understand exactly what we were after, especially seeing where the work would be done. Now the bookcase has been installed we could not be happier and the quality of the work is excellent. I would whole heartedly recommended Matthew for his carpentry.

Matthew's work is impeccable. He has real attention to detail and the end result is beautiful. He's a pleasure to work with - punctual polite and very tidy. Highly recommended.

In writing this review, I believe I will echo the extremely positive position of all Matthew's customers. Matthew engaged with us to design and build custom furniture for a dining-room/study. Throughout our engagement, Matthew's needs analysis, design recommendations and attention to detail were superb. We cannot recommend Matthew and his team highly enough. They recently designed, made and installed bookcases/ cabinets in our home office and we are absolutely delighted with them. Matthew guided us through the process from initial design discussions to the installation, with care and complete professionalism. He advised us at every stage of the process and considered everything down to the smallest of details. The end result is better than we had hoped for.

Jason was able to take my vision and create a beautiful set of shelves and cupboards for the cosy nook in our kitchen. We were provided with a 5* service throughout. Jason was quick to respond to messages and completed the work to an excellent standard, we would definitely recommend.

Jason did an amazing job on our kitchen, he was super helpful and responsive from the very first interaction, assisting us through the process with Howden’s and providing a competitive price. We asked Jason for a quote to replace our kitchen worktops and install a new sink. He replied very quickly and started 5 days later. He did an excellent job, took everything away and tidied up afterwards. The worktops were very dark and now we have a lovely bright kitchen. We highly recommend Jason.

Jason has just finished fitting our kitchen for us and has done an amazing job - he is clearly a perfectionist as the fit is flawless. His communication from the point of booking has been great, and on the two days of fitting he helped to problem solve a couple of issues with the kitchen design. We’d thoroughly recommend Jason to anyone and I’m sure we will use his services again. I’ll try to attach some photos of the kitchen once worktops and flooring are complete!

Stephen fitted laminate flooring and trims in two of our bedrooms. Very professional, explained progress and left the rooms spotless after work. Very happy with the finish and the work carried out. Would highly recommend.

Ollie and team built a great looking, quality, home garden office room/building. Built to a really quality spec that will last a long time, this professional team completed the build on time, and price. Ollie was flexible where I wanted to add some small extras and increase the size a little; a true bespoke build. If you're looking for a home office in Surrey I would genuinely recommend Oliver Smith Carpentry Solutions.

I cannot recommend Oliver Smith Carpentry more highly. He and his team are part of a new generation of professionals - fastidious, careful, super-professional and serious about their work, unquestionably trustworthy, always cleaning up at the end of the day. We just wanted our garage converted into a useable space, what we now have is a fabulous room - thoroughly insulated, fireproof, airy, pleasant and handed over niggle free. It's a pleasure to be in there. All through the process (only 3 weeks) Oliver and his team worked hard, always on time, always calm and responsive to our requests and last-minute changes of mind. I just wish we had more projects for him to do as I'd book him like a shot. (and, truthfully, this is an unbiased review - we did not know Oliver before this job).

Ollie and the team were superb from start to finish. At the beginning we needed some help with the design of our outside office. Ollie was great and sat down and sketched out a few ideas with us. He followed up quickly and stayed in contact on a regular basis, before providing us with a detailed, clear quote shortly after our first meeting. During the build it was great to have him and the team on site, very respectful, professional and all round it was a pleasure. Any decisions/discussions during the build were open and easy, we always felt like we knew our options and the pros & cons of each. The whole project was on time if not early and even came in under budget. The quality of the finished office is excellent, so good in fact we've booked him in for another job already. Thanks again!!

Second time of using this company. Their work is always of a very high standard and the craftsmen are tidy and courteous and keep inconvenience to a minimum. If you require high class, long lasting work, then I would definitely recommend.

A-Spec team were professional, tidy, showed great attention to detail throughout the project and an absolute pleasure to work with. We are extremely happy with final results! Would 100% use their services again and highly recommend.

Although we didn't go ahead with A-Spec for our side-return extension, we were very impressed with Jonathan and how we approached quoting out the build. He was responsive and detailed, so would have no hesitations getting him to quote out future projects.
