Absolutely fabulous place, photos don't do it justice. Super comfortable, really well equipped and the hot tub is a real bonus. Highly recommend

We stayed at the "Sebastopol Retreat" next door (airbnb), a delightful clean and cosy little "retreat" to escape for a few days and very central to explore Lincolnshire by car. The pub itself is a bit of a success story, having reopened as a traditional village inn and encouraging its return as the "local" for the area. We read elsewhere that if you want to eat, it is advisable to pre-book so we made sure we had a reservation for the traditional English Sunday Roast. I can say it was very delicious, as one would expect in a part of Britain renowned for farming. We loved the pub, the village and the City of Lincoln with its medieval buildings.

Found this place by chance. Only open at present Friday, Saturday & Sunday, so check if making a special journey. Great atmosphere, and food is good pub grub and really good. Felt very comfortable, went back a couple of times. The first time to eat the next time just for a pint.

Fantastic food in lovely surroundings! Quiet on a Thursday lunch but book at a weekend. Good selection of gins.

Lovely little sandwiche shop 5 minute walk from Barnetby station. There own made Sausage Rolls are excellent.

Went for an evening meal and I have the say that thing that makes the night are the people. They are great fun and have a laugh. The food was lovely, medium curry was slightly hotter than I'm used to but very tasty.

We visited to celebrate my 50th birthday, just the two of us, so very low-key. We booked over the phone, and there was a little confusion with the name for the booking when we arrived as they had heard something different over the phone. They sorted our table eventually. All of the staff were very chatty and friendly. You could tell there were quite a few regulars on first name terms. We ordered, and the food came quite quickly. It was all delicious (I loved the mint yoghurt dip!). The food was very flavoursome and cooked perfectly. We did discover that the rice comes as single person portions, so not really for sharing.We will definitely be back again.

A warm welcome greeted us to Abdals kitchen. The scene was set by the modern decor and quality seating. Our large party of 9 was gracefully seated in the large oval table near the bar I shall dub the coliseum. We were presented with a vast menu featuring all the classics as well as a great selection of house specials. Refreshments were promptly served to our parched posses and with a couple photos kindly taken by our hosts they proceeded to take our orders. With little delay our popadoms and pickle trays arrived, great variety and portion size providing a promising start to the consumption part of the Abdals experience. Piping hot plates dishes out and the mains followed a vibrant spread was served including a family naan or elephants ear as one host referred to it as. Quality meat and rich sauces complemented by fluffy naans and fragrant rices would sum up the mains and with cleaned plates I’d say our party was thoroughly impressed. Eating in the coliseum was fantastic, it felt like a private area for our group while still being within the great atmosphere of the restaurant. With the table cleared hot towels followed. Our group travelled an hour from Lincoln to visit and we all agree it was well worth the trip. Friendly chatty staff, well furnished clean restaurant, backed up by quality food, I can see why such a high rating has been earned by this establishment. Absolutely delicious food, i would say it was the best Indian meal I have ever had. And the staff were amazing - so friendly, attentive and helpful. We had a fantastic evening and would 100% recommend Abdal's.

The Victoria cake is divine and huge! We’ve just eaten sausage sandwiches made from your Lincolnshire sausages- yum! Call in regularly for sausage rolls and cakes. Meat pies are full of chunks of meat which is not the case in some pies. All delicious. Friendly service. Cannot ask for more.

What a delightful little butchers with some of the finest sausage products I have ever tasted. The proprietors are most welcoming and accommodating with any requests made. Over and above their fine charcuterie skills they offer the most insightful local knowledge

Me and my partner would highly recommend The anchor House .the host were very welcoming and polite and couldn't do enough for you The rooms were beautiful and modern and they smelt really fresh and clean and they were spotless. Breakfast facilities were very nice and the full breakfast what so tasty So if you need a place to say I would book here !!!

Lovely short winter stay. Our room was modern, comfortable, private and secure and we were made to feel very welcome. Great bathroom and shower with plenty of luxury towels. Beautiful bed. Excellent and generous breakfast and service. Free parking. Location great for exploring friendly Alford town and the Wolds. Thank you Paul and Nicky! We are happy to recommend and plan to rebook.

Myself mum and dad came up here for a funeral and stayed at this B&B. What can I say. First class. We was met by the owner who was very friendly showed us our rooms and informed us of all the necessary information required for our stay. Rooms were very comfortable clean with a very modern contemporary twist. Beds where so comfortable and we had a good nights sleep with lovely fluffy pillows. Linen and towels were of a very good quality.. tea coffee making facilities were plentiful and galaxy hot chocolate biscuits and fresh water bottles were there also. Breakfast was amazing cooked to perfection with fresh fruit salad yogurt toast with all the condiments along with fresh ground coffee tea and fresh orange juice. All presented on beautiful crockery which made for an absolute pleasurable experience. We highly recommend this place. For us especially coming up from London for an overnight stay.

This is a great pub to visit with seating in and out. All the staff are friendly and good food with decent prices together with kids menu. Good selection of beers and ample parking. Weekends can be busy especially Sunday Carvery but worth sampling and perhaps booking.. Band night is worth keeping an eye out for, so I'm told😜 The only down side guys, is that if you want a quick 'in and out lunch' be it with four or five us, with a pint IMHO you'll finish the pint before it arrives. Although everything is cooked fresh it is worth the wait. However, well worth the stop 😁

Fabulous meal. Sat outside. Great service . Friendly staff owner served food and she is making a great job of the business. Superb food. Was the top of the bill at £20.50 each but the steaks were superb. Good covered area for owners with dogs - the dogs cannot go into the pub itself which is tricky if you are on your own. Immaculate toilets. This was a spontaneous celebration for a personal major achievement. Great beer too.

My two friends and I came here for an evening meal as we are camping close by and the food was absolutely delicious! The prices for both food and drinks is super affordable considering the quality. The staff were friendly and another bonus is they are dog friendly inside and out- would recommend a visit if you’re close by!

Lovely garden centre, friendly staff in all departments. Food very good. However didn't like listening the way the manager spoke to person looking after Carvery section, she spoke too loud and talked down to him.

I went at Christmas time some great displays restrant shut a bit early but it was Christmas so understanding ample parking and free entry worth a visit for sure

Beautiful big garden centre. Maze and kids play area. Dog friendly. Cafe. Clean inside. Plenty of plants to choose from. We loved the little walk over the pond and the giant animal statues. Would 100% return if in the area again

The people serving the food were absolutely lovely. We had a big Christmas Dinner here and felt really spoiled. Our waiter really looked after all our needs and even brought us mince pies at the end! Really lovely, the food was brilliant and the place was super nicely decorated and clean!!! Amazing experience!!!

Found it very friendly menu a bit sparce as they were waiting delivery but at least we got a lunch could do with not cooking pies as much as we're a bit hard round edges. Please take this as a suggestion not a criticism but a little more filling in pies would not go amiss but all in all very friendly and helpful see you next time we are in Alford.
