What a delightful little butchers with some of the finest sausage products I have ever tasted. The proprietors are most welcoming and accommodating with any requests made. Over and above their fine charcuterie skills they offer the most insightful local knowledge
Rating: 5 / 5
Call in regularly for sausage rolls and cakes. Meat pies are full of chunks of meat which is not the case in some pies. All delicious. Friendly service. Cannot ask for more.

Lorna, yours is a fabulous business. Thank you for the smile and superb quality of products. We plan dog walks all the way to Southrey to include the fantastic sausage rolls for lunch afterwards. The Victoria cake is divine and huge! Weโve just eaten sausage sandwiches made from your Lincolnshire sausages- yum! Weโve just fetched steaks for a celebration tea.. they look amazing. Thanks for being a brilliant village butchers, you put Bardney on our personal map of Lincolnshire.

Myself mum and dad came up here for a funeral and stayed at this B&B. What can I say. First class. We was met by the owner who was very friendly showed us our rooms and informed us of all the necessary information required for our stay. Rooms were very comfortable clean with a very modern contemporary twist. Beds where so comfortable and we had a good nights sleep with lovely fluffy pillows. Linen and towels were of a very good quality.. tea coffee making facilities were plentiful and galaxy hot chocolate biscuits and fresh water bottles were there also. Breakfast was amazing cooked to perfection with fresh fruit salad yogurt toast with all the condiments along with fresh ground coffee tea and fresh orange juice. All presented on beautiful crockery which made for an absolute pleasurable experience. We highly recommend this place. For us especially coming up from London for an overnight stay.

Soul Foods
Soul Foods, 23 West St, Alford LN13 9DG, UK | Restaurant P: 01507 813359
Rating: 4.9 (36) Price Level:
Great food and very friendly staff. Best place for a real coffee All food is fresh, cooked and prepared on site and locally sourced.
Rating: 5 / 5
The best cafe in Alford by a huge margin. Outstanding quality food, and the staff are wonderful people.
Rating: 5 / 5
NOTE: This is a vegan/vegetarian cafe, so meat eaters beware! Only my second time here for lunch, but the food is really absolutely delicious and very healthy. They change the main menu often but the soul food salad etc is always available. Apart from being a MUCH needed and very welcomed 'breath of fresh air' cafe in our little town... The reason I only have 4 stars is because their Moccca isn't great, (tried it 3 times now), the atmosphere is nice and light and fresh, but the menus are on the walls where people are eating, so everyone who comes in will stand and look over your table. Not a big problem but it gets uncomfortable sometimes if there are short sighted people trying to zoom in! ๐ค Be prepared to wait for your order, but when they bring it, it is nice, fresh, and well made. Bear in mind it is only a small place, so no good turning up with the whole family expecting to be seated straight away! They have not long been opened, so I let's see if any of the small problems I mentioned get rectified, that will earn them a 5 star from ('over-fussy'?) me! UPDATE :- I have now been going in quite a few times since they opened and it has improved a lot (including the Mocca! - which is now the best in the area ๐๐๐) do, well done to everyone who works there x

Popped in today while visiting the area. Booked a table as we have 3 small dogs so wanted to make sure we could get a table suitable. So glad we did as they were completely full.. 11.30 on a Wednesday!! Absolutely amazing meals, coffee and cakes.. I still can't believe the cakes were vegan, they were amazing. Will definitely be back as often as we can ๐

Lovely little cafe with a warm welcome. I rang ahead on our way to the coast to order a takeaway and they were more than happy to oblige. Varied and interesting menu, I opted for the rarebit toast which had apple along with vegan cheese on the toast, accompanied by a delicious chutney. Good value and decent portion. I also took one of the scrummy looking cakes with me too, moist and tasty. Look forward to returning one day for the Ploughmans lunch. Friendly owner/staff. Free on street parking (time limited). Dogs allowed at the front of the cafe.

What a lovely traditional pub. Lovely pub garden. We had drinks and food. Was excellent and a really friendly place
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic food in lovely surroundings! Quiet on a Thursday lunch but book at a weekend. Good selection of gins.
Rating: 5 / 5
We stayed at the "Sebastopol Retreat" next door (airbnb), a delightful clean and cosy little "retreat" to escape for a few days and very central to explore Lincolnshire by car. The pub itself is a bit of a success story, having reopened as a traditional village inn and encouraging its return as the "local" for the area. We read elsewhere that if you want to eat, it is advisable to pre-book so we made sure we had a reservation for the traditional English Sunday Roast. I can say it was very delicious, as one would expect in a part of Britain renowned for farming. We loved the pub, the village and the City of Lincoln with its medieval buildings.

Beautiful bungalow in a lovely location. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The hot tub is checked every morning by the owner who is very friendly and lives next door
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing holiday home. Mandy was so helpful when we arrived and helped our son who is Autistic, make sure he could have his PS4 on the bedroom TV. The bungerlow has the comforts of home, the welcome package to start our holiday had everything you needed. The hot tub is amazing and Bailey's Retreat is spotless. Mandy is friendly and checks on the hot tub daily without disturbing you and gets it ready to use. There is nothing missed at all and we couldn't of asked for a better holiday stay. There is a local shop a cafe , a couple of pubs and Sunny's fish and chip shop, which was amazing. Licoln is a short drive where we had many lovely evening meals, ranging from pub's, nando's, Wagamama's, TGI and many more also the beautiful cathedral it was an amazing stay and one that I would book again. Thank you Mandy and Paul for an amazing stay โค๏ธ

Abdal's Kitchen
Spruce Ln, Ulceby DN39 6UL, UK | Restaurant P: 01469 428572
Rating: 4.8 (399) Price Level:
First time visit to this venue and we were not disappointed!! From the warm welcome as we arrived, the staff were friendly, conversational and attentive - without being overbearing. The food was delicious with plentiful portions and the menu offers ample choice. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and friendly and not overcrowded, with seating available on ground and 1st floor. All in all we had a very enjoyable evening and would highly recommend Abdal's Kitchen. Our grateful thanks to all the staff!

Went for an evening meal and I have the say that thing that makes the night are the people. They are great fun and have a laugh. The food was lovely, medium curry was slightly hotter than I'm used to but very tasty.

We visited to celebrate my 50th birthday, just the two of us, so very low-key. We booked over the phone, and there was a little confusion with the name for the booking when we arrived as they had heard something different over the phone. They sorted our table eventually. All of the staff were very chatty and friendly. You could tell there were quite a few regulars on first name terms. We ordered, and the food came quite quickly. It was all delicious (I loved the mint yoghurt dip!). The food was very flavoursome and cooked perfectly. We did discover that the rice comes as single person portions, so not really for sharing. We will definitely be back again.

A warm welcome greeted us to Abdals kitchen. The scene was set by the modern decor and quality seating. Our large party of 9 was gracefully seated in the large oval table near the bar I shall dub the coliseum. We were presented with a vast menu featuring all the classics as well as a great selection of house specials. Refreshments were promptly served to our parched posses and with a couple photos kindly taken by our hosts they proceeded to take our orders. With little delay our popadoms and pickle trays arrived, great variety and portion size providing a promising start to the consumption part of the Abdals experience. Piping hot plates dishes out and the mains followed a vibrant spread was served including a family naan or elephants ear as one host referred to it as. Quality meat and rich sauces complemented by fluffy naans and fragrant rices would sum up the mains and with cleaned plates Iโd say our party was thoroughly impressed. Eating in the coliseum was fantastic, it felt like a private area for our group while still being within the great atmosphere of the restaurant. With the table cleared hot towels followed. Our group travelled an hour from Lincoln to visit and we all agree it was well worth the trip. Friendly chatty staff, well furnished clean restaurant, backed up by quality food, I can see why such a high rating has been earned by this establishment. Thanks again to Abdalโs Kitchen team for a cracking curry!

Grange Farm Park
Maltby le Marsh, Alford LN13 0JP, UK | N/A P: 01507 450267
Rating: 4.7 (571) Price Level:
I have just stayed in Pod 3 for 4 nights and it was lovely. The room was fairly spacious and clean. I found the bed comfortable despite other reviews saying otherwise. We went for a meal in the stables pub and it was nice, the 2 gentleman were very polite and welcoming. The Hot-tub was amazing the whole time we were there although on the second day the water had a very odd smell to it despite us following the guidelines and showering before use. However the day after once the maintenance team had seen to it, the smell had gone. The only improvement i could think of is to add a little character to the back garden area. I think some fairy lights on the fence would be a nice touch for the evening/ nighttime just to make it more relaxing and a bit easier to see. It was a bit of a struggle to get the hot tub cover on and off but ultimately not a big problem. Thank you for a relaxing 4 nights away and i would definitely return!
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely night away in the pod, we particularly loved the hot tub and the views were gorgeous. We ate in the restaurants, staff were very friendly and went out their way to make us a lovely anniversary plate. The farm itself was lovely and relaxing! Our only feedback was the sofa was really uncomfortable (pod 2) and could do with replacing. A fan in the pods will also be nice as it can get very hot in there. Overall a lovely stay, thank you!

Popped in on the fly for an impromptu Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed! Large pub, good atmosphere and friendly staff with a well stocked bar. 4 choices of delicious quality meat and plenty of it, excellent value plus a choice of how many courses you'd want including a kids option. You know it's a good Sunday roast if the veggies come on a separate plate! Super tasty, we'll definitely be back again. Highly recommended.
