Stopover for one night. Excellent onside facilities. Excellent selection of ales, and other beverages. Varied choice of meals. Recommend rack of ribs and gammon steak. Big portions. Definitely Recommend, and will be returning.

Well all I can say is that this was amazing place to visit for food this evening 10/10. This pub, restaurant was old school, log fires cozy seating ( Chesterfield sofa ) great atmosphere bar and friendly staff meeting from the get go , thank you John the owner for a warm welcome from him as my mother in law is in a wheelchair opened the door and greeted with a smile. A* star food absolutely delicious full of flavour and dessert to die for. Facilities where lovely disabled toilets and baby changing clean and smelled fresh check the photo of the men's loo what a surprise to see a cool piece of engineering and the use of kegs . Highly recommended even great if you have young children . Thanks John see you soon.

Lovely pub and food and friends.The staff & the boss are as warm & welcoming as the log fire. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed in one of the two rooms available at the Blue Bell Inn. It was very modern and had all the fittings you would need for a stay of a few nights (including oven, toaster, kettle, hob, coffee machine etc.). The owner was lovely and was extremely accommodating, showing us around and explaining how to access the room at night. The room itself was spacious and included a large double bed with very good quality linen. There was a TV but we did not use it. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment style room for any visitors passing through the area.

Just popped into get something to eat ...absolutely superb. Easy to park up just after Sutton bridge as I'm a trucker . Short walk to the Chippy. Chips were pipping hot and crispy. Battered sausage was excellent also . Good portion size and well priced. Will call in again for my weekly treat . Highly recommend 👌

We are on holiday and called in, had the best cod and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce. Hubby said the best curry sauce ever!! We are full now. Will be back when in the area again.

Stopping in Sutton Bridge for a couple of nights, went to the Top Shop Chippy for tea. Steak pie and chips were lovely - definitely recommend. Nice area with benches across the road.

Tried to get fish & chips from here on a weekend not too long after they'd opened and it was too busy, queues out the door, so we gave up, and tried again on a Thursday evening - much quieter this time. Ordered a large cod and my God, I think I received Shamu - it was enormous! Really tasty fish, with a little help from my boy we got through it! Chips were lovely, and kids enjoyed chicken nuggets. The curry sauce was fantastic too - thicker and tastier than most we've had. Staff were friendly too. We'll definitely be back.

We took my sister in law there and only had the one course. The girls had the veggie lasagna and I had the Stilton and bacon burger. The cheese was oozing out all over the place and the whole thing weighed a ton. I really enjoyed it, but couldn't eat anything afterwards, it was so filling. Next time we're up that way, we'll definitely be calling in.

Had a fantastic Sunday carvery with them. Best one in the area, hot, tasty and plenty of choice of food,. Really pleasant service, very friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone. Well done Anchor, I will return!

Considering the price I was quoted I expected a basic motel sort of place. Only after a bed for the night so I was fine with that. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. Single room was small but well appointed. Bar and dining room huge clean and well staffed. Food absolutely wonderful and very reasonably priced. Will definitely return if I'm in the area. Thoroughly recommended

Back again. 4th time since discovering this gem back in May. They get busy on a Saturday night, pre booking is a must but my word I can see why - it’s absolutely worth every moment at this wonderful place. I had Mussels for a starters (of which they came and brought me extra bread for dipping into the sauce because that’s what Italians do, so I’m told!). Gnocchi for mains and then Affogato for dessert. The staff are super lovely and friendly, the owner/chef comes out to check that you’ve enjoyed your meal and I need come back many times to try EVERYTHING on the menu as each experience has got better and better. Which is ironic as I never used to want to eat Italian food at all. Thank you for another wonderful meal Amici and see you again!

Love the food at Amici! We come from London and always look forward to dining here. The food is second to none and is of great quality! There is an incredible selection of vegan dishes and the vegan gnocchi is to die for! The service is always so lovely and Chef Ivan is such a talented chef! 5 stars to both the food and service.

Well worth the visit. I took star of because of tiramisu - it seems that it worsened slightly. Its too sweet, and cream is not fluffy as it used to be and as should be. It was beautiful earlier. However, everything else is perfect and we will be back soon

Lovely & very quaint old fashion style Tea Rooms.With a very good menu from Tea/coffee Home made cakes, cream teas too,hot & cold specials freshly prepared on the day. Service is great with a nice relaxing atmosphere.Street Parking near by. Nothing is too much trouble thank you Mel & Sal 👍

Lovely atmosphere, staff were very helpful, welcoming and happy. Lovely choice of sandwiches, nice to order your own sandwich choice. Cakes were freshly baked. Staff said if we wanted more to ask but to be honest we were totally full. Absolutely stunning and great value for money in a beautiful tea room with lots of charm.

We called in here as a mid stop on our journey to Great Yarmouth. We enjoyed the full English breakfast, which was served piping hot and cooked well. The booth seating arrangement gives you that settling dining experience without anyone trying to nudge past you. If we were on that journey again, yes, we would stop over again for some menu choice.

Amazing food, decent prices, really friendly staff, nice atmosphere, in own booth so doesn't feel crowded, decent sized portions. We make a planned stop to go whenever travelling past Benny's. Also has free parking.

Fantastic little place! We arrived with a party of 10 with no warning but the staff managed to accommodate us despite three restaurant being busy. We were seated quickly and orders taken promptly. The menu is quite extensive with some interesting options. I went for the "Fat Elvis" burger which was certainly an experience. Portion sizes were generous and the quality of the food was truly excellent. Good vegetarian options.

By chance we drove past. From the outside it didn't look too special so I checked out other reviews and then decided to go in. So glad we did. Inside was a real 80's dinner with classic black red and white decor. Middle of the day so that's why the atmosphere rating is lower. The waitress was really friendly and polite. The food wait wasn't too long. The food was so very tasty, chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Without being greasy. Perfect skinny fries. I was amazed at the hot dog in the dish. It said smothered in cheese on the menu and it certainly proved to be. Chilli was tasty and not too spicy. Really tasty once in an while treat. Hubby said the fish was crispy and perfectly cooked, and enjoyed the chips as much. Definitely try this place out.

Great dining experience from service to delicious carvery food. Well organised and value for money, a substantial, quality, homely roast. Manager extremely efficient, really friendly and welcoming. Option of three meats (looking forward to lamb being an option occasionally). Slightly 'canteeny' feel and a little old school, but this shouldn't detract anyone from enjoying the superbly prepared wide selection of carvery offered. Great work! 'The Lamb Man'

Sunday carvery was excellent. There was 3 choices of meats. Plenty of fresh vegetables (at least 7 that I remember!) . Delicious and best of all freshly cooked and served Hot 🔥. Very highly recommended.

Went for an evening drink here last night. Great pub. Fair prices with a good range of drinks available. Landlady and staff were lovely and interact very well even for a first time patron such as myself. The pub is very clean and well decorated. The toilets are nice and clean. The beer garden is nice. The exterior of the building looks lovely too. The locals and customers were very nice, chatty and happily sharing a laugh. I had a couple of sandwiches while there and they were lovely. I will update this review after I have been on Sunday for the Sunday roast As I will be able to say what the food is honestly like. My hopes have been raised from what many have said locally. UPDATE*** FOOD: just had Sunday dinner here and WOW! It was very very good indeed. I have a bit of all the meats and a sausage. Succulent and tender honestly top notch meat. The Yorkshire puddings were really good as well, they know how to make them for sure. The veg, plenty of it as well, was well cooked so that you knew it was still a vegetable rather than mush. Cauliflower cheese I enjoyed so much I could have gone back loads of times. Roast potatoes were awesome. Crisp but fluffy inside. The gravy is one of the best I have out eating. Sunday dinner here is a must of you are nearby or in the area. Many thanks. I would travel 200 miles for it again.

I loved this place, could of spent a fortune on the garden ornaments, herons, flamingos, owls, pigs etc, also pictures of highland coos etc and basket ware, the food was amazing! 😋😋 Loved the little teapot my Earl Gray tea (real tea leaves) was served in! We will be back there at some point! Xx 3rd July 2022, This is the 1st time we've been back since the pandemic & it was all change in the restaurant, my hubby & I loved the VW campervan, volkswaggon beetle, vesper etc wallpaper & the jukebox music radio on the fireplace. I had a fruit scone with butter & jam & a glass of SevenUp & my hubby had a pot of tea & a slice of Victoria sponge cake, all very yummy, we will be back at some point, 😋😋 😊

A place that is finding it's feet again. Under new ownership/management and shows promise. Food good and very reasonably priced, shops hold interesting stock, the garden centre is re-stocking. It's worth supporting and with good custom will shine.

Went for the all you can eat breakfast, which they offer on a Saturday and Sunday morning for £10 (plus drinks, price correct at time of writing), offering a hot breakfast buffet as well as toast, cereals, etc. No photo, sorry, I ate half of it before thinking of taking one... There are a good range of products and services too in the various outlets available plus free parking and on site toilets.

The food was freshly cooked and the portions were a good size. I would say it was the nicest food I have eaten out in a long time and look forward to going back for my birthday. The ship was recommended to us and I am happy to recommend to others. The staff were so nice too.

This pub is superb. The landlord and landlady have got it just right. The beer is well kept, and the fridges full and varied. The food, oh the food,.is absolutely outstanding, we are looking forward to working our way through the varied and delightful menu. A comfortable, happy place to be. Very highly recommended.

Great village pub, full of charm and character. The owners and staff are very welcoming. A must visit if your ever travelling between lincolnshire and Norfolk ( only 2 mins off the A17 BP/McDonald's island )

Went there for Sunday lunch with some friends . The place is dog friendly we had two dogs and there were several other dogs already in there. Also has ample outside seating. There was a nice little walk for the dog next door to it (see photo)

Very good all round, used this one when my usual one was closed for their holiday and I was not disappointed. Can be a long wait at times which to me is a good sign that it's liked by many. Prices on par with others, food is tasty, hot and above all not greasy. They are however cash only
