Amazing holiday home. Mandy was so helpful when we arrived and helped our son who is Autistic, make sure he could have his PS4 on the bedroom TV. The bungerlow has the comforts of home, the welcome package to start our holiday had everything you needed. The hot tub is amazing and Bailey's Retreat is spotless. Mandy is friendly and checks on the hot tub daily without disturbing you and gets it ready to use. There is nothing missed at all and we couldn't of asked for a better holiday stay. There is a local shop a cafe , a couple of pubs and Sunny's fish and chip shop, which was amazing. Licoln is a short drive where we had many lovely evening meals, ranging from pub's, nando's, Wagamama's, TGI and many more also the beautiful cathedral it was an amazing stay and one that I would book again. Thank you Mandy and Paul for an amazing stay ❤️

Lorna, yours is a fabulous business. Thank you for the smile and superb quality of products. We plan dog walks all the way to Southrey to include the fantastic sausage rolls for lunch afterwards. The Victoria cake is divine and huge! We’ve just eaten sausage sandwiches made from your Lincolnshire sausages- yum! We’ve just fetched steaks for a celebration tea.. they look amazing. Thanks for being a brilliant village butchers, you put Bardney on our personal map of Lincolnshire.

Call in regularly for sausage rolls and cakes. Meat pies are full of chunks of meat which is not the case in some pies. All delicious. Friendly service. Cannot ask for more.

Found this place by chance. Only open at present Friday, Saturday & Sunday, so check if making a special journey. Great atmosphere, and food is good pub grub and really good. Felt very comfortable, went back a couple of times. The first time to eat the next time just for a pint.

We stayed at the "Sebastopol Retreat" next door (airbnb), a delightful clean and cosy little "retreat" to escape for a few days and very central to explore Lincolnshire by car. The pub itself is a bit of a success story, having reopened as a traditional village inn and encouraging its return as the "local" for the area. We read elsewhere that if you want to eat, it is advisable to pre-book so we made sure we had a reservation for the traditional English Sunday Roast. I can say it was very delicious, as one would expect in a part of Britain renowned for farming. We loved the pub, the village and the City of Lincoln with its medieval buildings.

I don't often write reviews but had to write one for this lovely pub as we couldn't find fault with anything. We visited on Saturday night for a spur of the moment meal out and have to say the food was the best we have tasted anywhere in a long time. The menu was big and varied with loads to choose from, including plenty of great vegetarian and vegan options which is a priority for me being vegetarian and there was lots of homemade and old school classics which my husband really enjoyed. The service was amazing, food came out quickly, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere really good. It was by far the best place we have eaten out in a long time and will definitely return again soon.

We called in spur of the moment. Luckily, we were able to get a table. The service was decent, barman/landlord was particularly friendly and helpful. The food was spot on, nicely presented and just the right quantities. Very reasonable meal, 2 mains, s deserts and 2 drinks £42.10. Not at all bad in my opinion, definitely one to revisit.

Fantastic hotel, steeped in bomber command history. I had a very comfortable room with an excellent bathroom. I attended a function at the hotel which was very well organised and had a great buffet. The breakfast is a buffet service and was also very good. I'll definitely return and I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit the area.

A gem of a hotel, steeped in history with its connection to The Dambusters and the RAF Bomber Command. The hotel and grounds are like a mini museum. The hotel itself has a friendly atmosphere the staff being polite and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and have en-suite facilities. Tea and Coffee in the room was provided. The restaurant facilities are excellent a three course meal was fantastic value and very tasty. The breakfast offered was both cooked English and Continental

The Jews House Restaurant

15 The Strait, Lincoln LN2 1JD, UK | Restaurant
P: 01522 524851

Rating: 4.6 (207) Price Level:

Located in a beautiful 12th century stone house on the famous Steep Hill, I was told this is arguably the best restaurant in Lincoln. Based on my experience, I won't be the one disputing that. I absolutely loved it! It is sympathetically restored and beautifully decorated. Modern additions of light stained framewood contrasts with the much older darker beams. The white painted ceiling between the beams and white walls brightens the place, but not too much, just enough, as it is combined with rich ochre and exposed stone walls. The palette of rich, bold ochre and red colours continues in the choice of materials, the velvet chairs and wall sitting area wonderfully complementing the darker wood of the tables. At the same time, the dimmed lighting provided by the lamps carefully positioned, almost requires a few minutes for your eyes to get used to it and take it all in. It is then, when sitting at the table that one can really appreciate the beauty of the place: stylish, upmarket, very elegant and classy, almost with a feel of a stately home. The way in, through a narrow and low ceiling side passage, is wonderfully quirky and totally belies what is to come. It almost has a theatrical way about it, opening into the compact entrance where you are met by the superb Samantha and staff. The food is absolutely delicious. I went all fishy on the day: cornish turbot as starter and seabass as main. I loved the imagination of some of the elements on the plate and the combination of flavours and textures, as well as the presentation. I chose the strawberry n elderflower jelly dessert on the day, with champagne consommé, white chocolate mousse and a rapsberry sorbet. Sweetness and acidity perfectly balanced and a fitting end to a wonderful meal. The atmosphere is great, very relaxed, so much so that I established easy conversation with some of the dinners, some regular customers driving over an hour to come to this restaurant as, according to them, it is not only the best restaurant in Lincoln but one of the very best in the area. And if you are into wine, fear not, the wine list is extensive and Samantha's knowledge phenomenal. A beautiful restaurant with delicious food, great staff and exceptional service. Unmissable!

Small, intimate, high-end restaurant set in a wonderfully characterful old property halfway up the hill in Lincoln. Offers a la carte dining and a 5-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Exceptionally friendly staff. We tried the tasting menu and while two dishes were excellent, there were several noticeable blips in quality (including a pancake that was clearly burnt to look at let alone taste), and overall the menu wasn't particularly imaginative. If you have the luxury of being able to go further afield, there are better experiences to be had for this price. If you're limited to Lincoln, though, I think there's nothing else that competes.

Stayed to celebrate in Lincoln just for one night, so we wanted something special. We had high expectations, and that place still overdelivered. The portions are very interesting, but also substantial. You won't leave hungry, I promise. Sorbet was the name of the game. Horseradish sorbet, coriander sorbet, melon sorbet. Absolutely amazing. The service was very friendly, but extremely precise. Overall, immensely enjoyed the visit. Probably the best dinner we've had in the UK this year.

I bloody love this place. I brought my parents here for lunch today as they were up visiting me and I knew we'd get excellent food and service. We all opted for the Grimsby Haddock and chips with mushy peas and they were magnificent! The fish was enormous and I ended up only having a handful of the lovely chips as a result, but it was so tasty - as if we were having fish and chips at the seaside. The staff as always were very friendly and the service was perfect. I hadn't been in the garden before but it is a lovely little suntrap and we enjoyed it immensely. This pub is also very dog friendly and having 3 dogs along with us was no problem at all. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to anyone looking for some lovely grub in a friendly environment.

Wow, what can I say about The Dower House Hotel that hasn't already been said! We had our beautiful wedding there on December 6, 2024, and everything was amazing. All the staff went above and beyond for us. The food was simply the best. Our bedroom was amazing, and a massive thank you to Jade and the staff for making it perfect. I have never seen such a beautiful venue, and all of our guests were in love, too. It makes it even better that we had asked for all the Christmas decorations to be up (if possible), and it was just beautiful. Well done to all who work there! I will be forever singing your praises. Highly recommend for any wedding, party, or simply a beautiful meal. It won't disappoint you at all. Worth every penny and more.

My son had his wedding reception here and many in the party booked rooms. I stayed in room 17 at the lodge. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped with fan/iron and board/additional heater/toiletries, kettle, tea etc.. We had the use of a downstairs room for the bridesmaids to get ready. This was a great idea. Breakfast is greatly, made to order on Saturday but buffet style on Sunday All staff were really helpful and professional, we felt really looked after. The standards are high here but we had a great time. Highly recommended thank you

The Adam & Eve, Wragby

Market Pl, Wragby, Market Rasen LN8 5QU, UK | Pub
P: 01673 858586

Rating: 4.6 (659) Price Level:

In many cases, a 5 star review has almost lost its value because people will give one just for someone simply doing their job. However, this is a 5 star review that is VERY well deserved. I can't rate The Adam and Eve high enough! The food was top quality, there's a good selection of drinks, the staff are friendly and very accommodating. The room we stayed in was very cozy and immaculately clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was big and had a nice deep bath. The water was hot and we had no issues with water pressure. It had all the facilities you'd expect, tea and coffee, TV, WiFi etc ... Breakfast was delicious. Overall we had a wonderful little getaway and it didn't break the bank. This is the only place I've stayed at where I felt guilty about not having to paying more. We will definitely be coming back.

A lovely open space at bar entrance, where we sat to dine (table reserved). Pub was clean, decorated, nicely furnished, accepting behaved dogs too! Sunday roast meals were quaint, stacked with Yorkshire pudding, however the pork had no crackling & the potatoes weren't well roasted. Otherwise a nice place, would like to return again midweek to try again!

We had a lovely meal here, great setting, very relaxed! The menu is smaller than previous visits but everything was done extremely well. Our starters were ordered wrong but what we did have was excellent! Squid & Hummus to start both very tasty. I had the Eve burger and I was pleasantly surprised at how well executed it was! My husband had the Katsu curry and was impressed also! No desserts for us but we did have coffee which was good, the wine selection is good and the alcohol free beer selection is also really great given its location. We will certainly visit again! The service was good and it was great to see that a new person who was learning the ropes was being well supported!
