Haddock and chips and tiramisu for dessert. Best meal I've had since I've been here. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff is warm and super friendly. The service is quick and efficient. Absolutely try the desserts. Any of them will blow your mind.

We called in spur of the moment. Luckily, we were able to get a table. The service was decent, barman/landlord was particularly friendly and helpful. The food was spot on, nicely presented and just the right quantities. Very reasonable meal, 2 mains, s deserts and 2 drinks £42.10. Not at all bad in my opinion, definitely one to revisit.

A delightful venue. Warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the Sunday Lunch menu as a large family group. Attentive service from the young staff and great food to fill us up on a drizzly day. Certainly recommended.

I don't often write reviews but had to write one for this lovely pub as we couldn't find fault with anything. We visited on Saturday night for a spur of the moment meal out and have to say the food was the best we have tasted anywhere in a long time. The menu was big and varied with loads to choose from, including plenty of great vegetarian and vegan options which is a priority for me being vegetarian and there was lots of homemade and old school classics which my husband really enjoyed. The service was amazing, food came out quickly, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere really good. It was by far the best place we have eaten out in a long time and will definitely return again soon.

We had a very tasty Sunday Lunch, in a lovely atmosphere and were served by a lovely waitress. Highly recommended

We had hunters chicken and pies all were delicious. Parking was good. Very cold in the restaurant. A couple of hiccups with booking time and not being able to pay by card which held us up getting food.

I bloody love this place. I brought my parents here for lunch today as they were up visiting me and I knew we'd get excellent food and service. We all opted for the Grimsby Haddock and chips with mushy peas and they were magnificent! The fish was enormous and I ended up only having a handful of the lovely chips as a result, but it was so tasty - as if we were having fish and chips at the seaside. The staff as always were very friendly and the service was perfect. I hadn't been in the garden before but it is a lovely little suntrap and we enjoyed it immensely. This pub is also very dog friendly and having 3 dogs along with us was no problem at all. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to anyone looking for some lovely grub in a friendly environment.

The Bustard Inn & Restaurant

Rating: 4.7 (384) Price Level:
We had an amazing evening meal at the Bustard Inn the night before our wedding. We previously contacted Lesley and made her aware of our occasion and booked a large table for 15 of us, she was so attentive and helpful from the booking process through to the evening itself! The team really helped us to feel relaxed and made the experience really special! Not only that, but the food was delicious, amazing quality and also generous portion sizes! Can’t thank the guys here enough for providing a wonderful place for ourselves and our family to eat the night before our wedding and for making us feel so welcome and special! I just wish we lived closer so we could visit more regularly

Lovely country pub with a very nice restaurant area. Friendly warm service. Mostly good food, my fillet steak was perfect, unfortunately my wife's was not as good! I shared mine with her and ate what I could of hers and took the rest home for the dog...

Staff were very pleasant, & efficientIt. It was midweek lunchtime, and not busy, so without enough people to feel a buzz, but still a great place to be.The best fillet steak I’ve had for some time. My Daughter loved her Duck too, just too good not to go again! More than worth repeat visits, looking forward to them.

Well just been to the Lincolnshire Poacher Inn for a meal with friends. WHAT CAN I SAY BUT ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. I THINK IT HAS TO BE RATED AS THE BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD IN LINCOLN. IF YOU HAVENT BEEN YOU ARE MISSING OUT. ALL PROPER HOMEMADE FOODS OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY. AMAZING STAFF AND FRIENDLY. DEFINITELY MY GO TO PUB/RESTAURANT NOW.

9 of us came for Sunday lunch just before Christmas. My parents are local and have eaten there previously, so we had high hopes. The dining room was busy but the service was excellent, the food was hot and so tasty with loads of well-cooked vegetables. 6 of us had the Sunday roast, 2 had pie, 1 had lasagne, all were delicious. And incredible value. They cater for gluten free diets without any drama. We traveled up from South Warwickshire and will definitely make the trip again.

Hi, we just checked out from this wonderful bnb. Super friendly owner. Super amazing. Super tidy. Super Clean. Super pretty. Fresh fluffy towels ( We got big ones and medium ones. It's not medium and small size). Touch bedside lamp. Walk in small closet. Big parking space. Even they arranged the complimentary tea and coffee in the room nicely!!. We got room no. 2B downstairs. We arrived a bit late. The owner was still waiting for us. As we arrived, she asked us what we wanted for breakfast. Breakfast served 07.00 to 08.30am. Hot fresh yummy breakfast. Served by the beautiful lady owner. Not very close from the town centre. But this is what we wanted. After a day wandering the city centre, we wanted a nice quiet night to sleep. They have a convenience store, co op, many local pubs nearby. No complaints at all. We were happy. There are only 2 suggestions, perhaps. 1. Need door hangers behind the bathroom's door to hang the towels. 2. A small fan for summer. Definitely will come again. Highly recommended. Thank you so much!!!

Such a nice stay. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard and looks new as do the towels and carpets and bedding. There was even fresh coffee to make a cafetiere. The breakfast was lovely and consisted of a full English breakfast with orange and lots of toast. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I stayed here overnight with my girlfriend recently, and we were surprised to find we had been upgraded to the suite room! This is quite possibly the best place I have stayed, and I hope to do so again. I can't think of a single way they could improve, and I strongly recommend anyone visiting the area stay here! Not only was the suite fantastic, but the food was absolutely delicious too! I had a pear and ginger creme brulee, and my vegan girlfriend was pleasantly surprised to find there were many more options available to her than she expected! The friendly owners clearly go beyond when catering to their guests, and should be proud of the service they provide!

I cannot praise Leigh and his wonderful team enough. We sadly lost our father who lived in Woodhall spa, Leigh and his team were compassionate and professional and provided not only a wonderful array of buffet foods for over 50 people but ensured that everyone was looked after and nothing was too much trouble. We also stayed and ate a meal with family after the wake and the food was delicious and very reasonable. After such a sad day we stayed at the village limits and found our room to be very clean comfortable and well decorated. Thank you to Leigh and his fantastic team for making such a sad occasion one where we will remember being with family and friends celebrating the life of our father in a beautiful well thought environment.

Just spent 2 nights here. Lovely hotel in nice setting. Clean room, well stocked large bathroom. Plenty of tea, coffee etc supplied. Had the English breakfast first morning, very tasty and well cooked and presented. Had the continental breakfast on our second morning, and again, really nice. Polite and welcoming staff, would recommend. Thank you

Great food and play area for the kids was so helpful. Staff were kind and helpful. Only thing I'd ask is if all the adults are getting starters, please plan/check for kids meals coming out at the same time. Little hungry tummies (that usually eat an hour before their parents anyway) are often attached to very vocal complaints!

Stopped for lunch. The food was excellent and very big portions. A bit too much as I couldn't finish the meal. But excellent quality and value. The staff are brilliant.

Sunny Fish and Chips
Jolly Sailor, 117 Station Rd, Bardney, Lincoln LN3 5UF, UK | Restaurant P: 01526 398158
Rating: 4.3 (265) Price Level:
Good food well cooked but wasn't happy to be charged an extra £5 for sitting in the restaurant part of the chip shop. I've never heard of this before. Normally customers would just be charge more for thier food but they charged more for the food and added the extra £5. So won't be using there restraint again.

A vintage climate of the past beauty of this tiny railway stations. Menu doesn't impress but service is kind. Convinient stop on a cycling route. Consider visiting the ruins of the Tupholme Abbey which is only 12 minutes on a bike.

I attended a Sunday lunch here on Remembrance Sunday and it was excellent. All done by volunteers, too. Superb. Thank you for a great time and friendly welcome!!
Rating: 5 / 5
Little cafe with indoor and outside seating, variety of food available. Small museum dedicated to the sinking of the Tirpitz (ww2) so i would imagine Bardney had a role to play in this as it was a bomber command airfield if i remember rightly, much the same as most of Lincolnshire. They sell small gifts, pens, fridge magnets etc, a nod to the railway that once was there. It is on the water railway cycle track from Lincoln to Boston and its good stop off after the 9ml bike ride from Lincoln.

Amazing place to stay! Can't recommend it highly enough

Fantastic Airbnb with Wood fired hot tub. Dog friendly and enclosed outside area for the dog. I think the owners have repurposed the railway station area as solely Airbnb and have a separate cafe/restaurant at the front. We didn't visit this unfortunately. Great quirky venue, reasonably priced with a good sized hot tub (seated 4 with loads of space). Really enjoyed our stay here.

First visit to this friendly very well run pub set at Short Ferry lovely countryside setting. Fantastic carvery Sunday dinner lots of choice and desserts to follow . Very welcoming atmosphere well done to you all. We will return for fish and chips Fridays and entertainment nights too
Rating: 5 / 5
We have only given 4 stars for atmosphere would have done 5 but as there was only us in due to the flooding of the road to Bardney. A shame other people from Fiskerton, Cherry Willingham and Reepham do not use this place to eat at lunch time as the food was excellent. Service with a smile and very curtious. The fish and chips that was supposed to be small was certainly bigger than I expected.
Rating: 5 / 5
Well, who would have thought? What a gem of a find. If you are looking for a great welcome, then this is the place. People travel from all over and not yet have we been disappointed in meeting new people. Usually go on a Thursday night, when you can by a main meal & pudding for £8.00 as long as you order together. More often than not I am stuffed. Even on it's own the 1st course is £6.00. Best check the website or Facebook page to see the menu and worth being early not to disappoint! Tonight I had a fabulous stew and my husband added the side order of chips to his breaded camembert & was more than satisfied. I didn't take a picture of the breaded camembert. We are yet to be disappointed with the quantity & quality of food. Friday night is chippy night, and again, not to be disappointed. Small fish & chips is perfect & served on a plate but with chippy paper.
