The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor, while the biryani was aromatic and absolutely delicious—one of the best I’ve had. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a unique blend of modern and classic touches that made the experience even more special. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great vibe.

Dined here on Thanksgiving while on a work trip to London. Lamb chops were so succulent, I am still thinking about them weeks later… great staff, very attentive service even though I was dining solo. The chocolate pudding dessert was unreal. Make sure to add this to your list and also make sure to snag a reservation since the line was out the door! Wish I had the time to dine here once a week if I could so to explore the rest of the menu offerings!

The food is good here but not the best Indian food I’ve eaten. The restaurant is nice inside, particularly downstairs in the booths but we were made to wait at the door despite having a reservation and while people who just rocked up were given tables before us. Hit a table 20mins after our reservation time, that needs to be fixed. The service inside at the table was excellent and we were given some free starters because of the wait. Worth a visit if you’re in the area but arrive 10mins before your reservation to avoid the mess at the door.

Overall the food was good and the service was great. We got a table very quickly. The okra fries were really tasty (very small portion) but the other dishes tried lacked some flavour and spices. The place was crowded, the music was nice even though it was very loud from all the people talking. You can definitely get more authentic food for almost half the price at more local places but the experience is worth trying once I guess.

Nomie's Kitchen

Hewetts Quay, 26-32 Abbey Rd, Barking IG11 7BE, UK | Restaurant
P: 07902 149685

Rating: 4.9 (77) Price Level:

First time ordering from this food company. I enjoyed the jollof rice and the beef, however there was only 1 piece of beef meat (attached photo) so that was a bit ashame. I did not enjoy the plantain, as it did not taste fresh as if it was made today, it tasted reheated. The puff puff was nice, but I was disappointed to see that I had order 15 , as it did not state how many was in one portion. I would of just ordered 1 pack of 5 for £2 if this information was clear, so it cost me more money for the extra I did not need. So yes, despite the 1 piece of beef, reheated plantain and excess puff puff. The food, packaging and delivery was all good and came quick. Thank you

Had jollof, fried rice & beef. I could not fault anything! Everything was delicious , not too greasy and it has exceeded my expectations. One of the best (if not the best) I have ever had. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be returning for some more 😋

Ordering from Nomies Kitchen was an impeccable service. It was an online order which was to be delivered. The delivery service was top notch and even when the food arrived 24 hours later it still maintained its quality and taste. I always recommend Nomies Kitchen to whoever in my circle because I am confident she will deliver

Burgers LDN - Barking

81 Longbridge Rd, Barking IG11 8TG, UK | Hamburger Restaurant
P: 01245 956273

Rating: 4.8 (133) Price Level:

Fluffy bun. Meaty smashed patty cooked right, not tough not breaking apart! Sauce not soaking the bun but enough to give the patty a kick. Chips are quality, crispy and super fluffy potato inside. Only feedback, we got 3 meals but only received one of each of their 3 sauces, could have done with 2 or 3 sets at least. All meals are decent size! Real good food.

The food was delicious, the burgers were so juicy and flavoursome without the brioche bun overpowering the meat and vice versa which is sometimes the case in a lot of these burger joints. There is a big variety of choices all with their own unique authentic flavours and taste. With all that said, the prices are affordable for the quality in comparison to a lot of these other burger shops opening up. The service was excellent and it came very quickly. 10/10

A very under rated burger spot. I've had loads of burgers in my time and recently loads of burger spots have opened up, most charging over £12 for just a burger to eat in your car. Thankfully, this spot does some of the best value burgers you can get without compromising on quality and taste. I've had burgers from here 3 times during Ramadan, as this place is right around the corner from my house. Those were takeaway, this time I ate in and got more things. Brisket Borough (Beef) £11.99 Magic Mushroom (Veg) £6.49 Classic London (Beef) £7.49 P-Jammy (Beef) £7.99 Hot Chick (Chicken) £7.49 Soho Sirlion £14.99 Potato Mess £4.99 The burgers are fantastic and such great value for money. The standard classic Beef is only £7.49, that's a double Angus beef patty, a strong beefy flavour balanced with the right amount of sauce. They have unique burgers, the P-Jammy is a take on peanut butter and jelly, I didn't think I'd like this but I loved the sweetness of the jelly mixed with the texture of peanut butter and the flavour of beef. The hot chick was a perfectly freshly cooked fried chicken filet, soft and juicy with that perfect crunch. The mushroom burger was a wildcard and I liked the flavours, I'd be happy to order this again. The Brisket Sandwich was nice as well, soft pulled brisket with that melted cheese. I wasn't a fan of the steak and chips, but the burgers are what this place is about. Every burger I ate was delicious and I can't recommend this spot enough.

Brother Marcus Borough

Rating: 4.8 (3543) Price Level:

Delicious food and good service. went for a midweek dinner with a friend and shared lots of vegetarian plates- the aubergine skewer and the fennel tzatziki were especially good as well as the baklava pistachio ice cream sandwich. Marian served us promptly & politely with a good recommendation of the number of dishes we should have - service was attentive throughout. Would recommend and return!

Lovely take on Mediterranean cuisine brought into the modern world. A fairly concise menu that's easy to navigate, and dishes with vibrancy, colour and bursting with flavours. We ended up going for Marcus' Choice (*see note below) which gave a great variety of dishes, including the Rip and Dip Platter with two extra Toasted Pita, Baked Beetroot, Pan-Fried Halloumi, Charred Celeriac, Crispy Aubergine Skewer, Potato Chips, Crispy Calamari, Pan Seared Bream, Grilled Pork Rib-Eye, Baklava Sandwich and Chocolate Brownie *My only niggle would be for four people at £42 pp, so £168, I totalled the value of the dishes above to be £140.8. Even though it's nice not to think, I feel like this is too far undervalued. So I would recommend essentially the above for 4 people, swapping some Mezze dishes where preferred. A selected dessert each would make this option better, instead of sharing two perhaps. But the food was delicious, and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

I had a lovely late lunch with the kids. They enjoyed the food especially the rip and dips. All three dips were so tasty. The bream was delicious! Our lovely waiter Eve made definitely made the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable. She gave us great recommendations which were perfect for us!

Brother Marcus’s brunch had a unique blend of Mediterranean and English cuisine. I quite enjoyed the jam served with the fried chicken rösti. I’d say the shakshuka was the standout dish. The dessert brioche was a bit too sweet for me and hid the flavors they were going for. One thing of note were the ergonomics of the cup for coffee and the water bottles. They were hard to grip on full, and the coffee handle was far too small for anyone with normal-sized hands and grip strength. This can be overcome by holding the plate and drinking the coffee. Good food overall. Troublesome cutlery. Service was nice, although perhaps the waiters came and asked if we wanted more food and drink a bit too many times. Would recommend.

Sinabro Restaurant

Rating: 4.9 (335) Price Level:

Delightful Dining Experience at Sinabro I had a fantastic experience at Sinabro in London! From the moment I walked in, the warm and intimate atmosphere set the stage for a memorable meal. The staff were attentive and welcoming, making sure we were comfortable and well-informed about the menu. The food was exceptional — each dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The combination of French cooking techniques with subtle Korean influences was a refreshing twist that worked incredibly well. I particularly enjoyed the perfectly cooked fish and the well-balanced sauces that complemented each dish. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was clear, and it made for an unforgettable dining experience. Sinabro is a gem for anyone who enjoys refined, creative cuisine in a relaxed, cozy environment. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

Small restaurant but packs a punch. I actually think they are undercharging. £55 for the chef’s menu was more than worth the money. Iv eaten in some restaurants charging £75/80 for the same. The menu is limited but when the food is well thought out and put together then it doesn’t matter. There wasn’t a bad dish.

22 Ventidue

22 Whitebarn Ln, Dagenham RM10 9LH, UK | Italian Restaurant
P: 020 8252 4470

Rating: 4.8 (492) Price Level:

I've had to rewrite this review as my first 5⭐️ review didn't do justice to this place. I was staying in Dagenham for a few weeks as part of a training course I was on and just happened to discover this absolute gem of a restaurant. It's a fantastic authentic Italian restaurant and tastes as good (if not better) than food I've eaten in Italy. I came back here with my two colleges 3 times as we enjoyed our first experience so much. The staff are absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is really nice, but the food is just outstanding. I had a range of dishes whilst I was there, the 22 pizza and the lasagne were probably my favourites along with the best tiramisu I've ever had (which I had again each time I returned) Definitely the best thing in Dagenham and look forward to returning when I'm on my next course! If I could give 6 ⭐️ I would.

Visited this restaurant for the first time after seeing the reviews and it being local. I would of never of known it was here! From the moment of entering the service was second to none. Very polite and warming waitresses. Hats off to the chef! Even after I asked for some adjustments to the dish on the menu. I loved the amount of seafood included in the pasta. Nothing worse than having to seek prawns out. The food was delicious. There were two birthdays being celebrated whilst I was here and the staff go all out. It's lovely to see this so genuine. It is reasonably priced too which was really nice. It definitely delivers! Great for a date or a family meal. Cannot wait to come back thank you ladies!!!!

We booked here for a mini reception after our legal registry office wedding to celebrate. The staff especially the GM Nicholas could not have been more helpful and accommodating to our group. I recently visited Humble Grape with my girlfriend and a friend, and we had a wonderful experience overall. We tried three bottles of wine, two of which were absolutely fantastic, though one wasn’t quite to our taste—but no big deal there. The food was enjoyable, though I might have indulged in a bit too much cheese, which left my stomach feeling unsettled the next day. That said, the atmosphere was great, and our host, Nicolas, was exceptional—very attentive and welcoming. I’d definitely recommend Humble Grape, especially for the wine and the excellent service!

Beautiful venue, love the small details like the cork walls and the wine crates used as shelves. Was there on a breeze date and was served by Jess who was attentive polite and honestly the best server I've experienced in awhile, definitely a gem to that place. I think the pick 3 offer comes with a stingy amount of jam and gherkins but with current rise in cost with delivery items I'm also not surprised. I had a wonderful time and would definitely visit again

P: 020 7738 1965

Rating: 4.5 (208) Price Level:

I was given a voucher for a set lunch menu which was tried and tested today and wow was it incredible! Firstly I was blown away that a £50 voucher covered all the food received - these plates rival Michelin star food so it felt like an incredibly reasonable deal considering the time and attention to detail each dish must be given. Secondly the food simply tasted amazing. So fresh, delicate, rich in the right amounts and just a joy from start to finish! I would highly highly recommend Ploussard and look forward to coming back someday!

Boy have I travelled far for this meal but it’s worth it. We had the tasting menu and had a good taste of most of their dishes and we are full and happy by the end of it. We loved the atmosphere and it’s really cozy when it gets darker. The only thing is that when I asked to sit on another table when I got there, they made me feel a bit of a trouble when the restaurant is basically empty with many tables available.

Outstanding atmosphere, the best mash potato ever (I don’t even particularly like a “normal” one) & bread (wow!). Cons: long wine list but no Portuguese one, including Port which would perfectly match your desserts. Overall, great customer service and great experience.

Very nice atmosphere (especially for a Tuesday), lovely food and wine! Avoid the prawns, tasty but too small and they advised to eat with the shell on. I’m not sure if this was to try and distract from the poor portion size 🧐. The duck was incredible. A little expensive for what it was but would go back again

Lovely atmosphere and love the old school feeling and having to call and make a booking etc. As the menu changes I suppose it really depends on when you go how happy you will be. We weren’t overly impressed with tonights selection but have friends who have gone and had the beef wellington and said that it was to die for. So I think it can be hit and miss due to the menu selection

The food and staff were incredible. The menu changes every day but we had the lobster ravioli, snails in pastry, the lamb, Guinea fowl and duck. Followed by the apricots and rhubarb desserts. We went with the wine and champagne that was recommended and the barista definitely knew his pairings! I would recommend going at lunch time, as you have a much more relaxed atmosphere and can take your time, as dinner gets a little busy.

After living in S.E. London for 12 years, we finally visited here June 2022, glad we did too. A little cute restaurant on the corner, sitting outside in the summer, aided with a Picon Bière, was lovely. Such top quality food, the portions were very good too. The service is inexcusably French too, so don’t mess about! ;)
