When you have a craving for top notch fish and chips then Eltham Grill House is the place to go. So far the best in the area I have tried, the batter on fish is superb, crispy, tasty and not too oily either. Not only do they do great F&Cs, but they're also a grill house serving very delicious grilled fish and meats. The lamb on the combination grill is a must try as it was delicious and very tender. Really good portion sizes and great value for money. The staff are very friendly and efficient and if dining in, the restaurant is a lovely place to be, modern, clean and vibrant. Definitely know one of my favourite local restuarants.

Lovely food and very good priced. They cater for everyone including vegetarian and vegan. Great service and attention from the staff working there. Would highly recommend for families or just couples. They also have a takeaway side to the restaurant. High quality

The best Sunday lunch i've had in a very long time. Everything was beyond perfect. Chef Anna is passionate about creating the perfect roast. Everything cooked from scratch and with love. Her dessert special was pistachio cheesecake - it was sublime! I will definitely be back very soon. Thank you chef 😍

Pope Street do the best roast dinner in the South East! My partner and I both had the Sunday chicken roast- the portion size is immense and it is so tasty. The gravy is delicious. The staff are really friendly especially the manager. Service was excellent. We sat upstairs in the function room as it was a bit quieter. Highly recommended for food.

Excellent Sunday afternoon spent here at Pope St. Not been here for a couple of years but its one of the only decent places in New Eltham to grab a drink. Nice establishment with plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. Good selection of wine, beers and lager. Food was available and looked good but we'd already been out for lunch. Staff were excellent here, pleasant, professional and constantly waited our table for more drink orders when desired. Limited parking in the area but located very close to New Eltham station!

Had our son's birthday lunch here two weeks ago. The restaurant staff were kind and accommodating, even when we had to change our number of guests at the last minute. Nothing was too much for the staff. Everyone was helpful. The sharing platters were delicious. Thank you Cobans

8 of us visited for the first time for dinner last sunday to celebrate my daughters birthday, Olly and his wonderful service made us all feel very welcome and special. I ordered the sharing meat platter board and everything on that board was so impressive! Meat was so tender, mountain full of everything and even my fussy kids wanted to try which is a great surprise! Im not usually a fan of chicken wings but ended up eating almost all of it😅 Thankyou for the grand birthday gesture when you brought out the cake aswell, we all throughly enjoyed our dinner so much, and the cocktails were great! We will be back for sure, thankyou👍🏻

If you’re looking for great food in Eltham this is the place to go, we shared the mixed kebab and it was great. tasty, roasting hot and the meat was juicy and cooked fresh. The chicken wings were a highlight for me I have eaten a whole plate full. The prices are reasonable, the restaurant itself is modern and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and a personal greeting and goodbye from Ozzie was a nice touch. I will be back again soon.

2025 Review: The food is really good, and their customer service is decent as well. They are friendly as you would expect, and I thank them for their effort to make us feel welcome on the night. Ozi and the team are good. Total good experience. I'll be coming back to test the water again... especially the mocktail I was offered that I didn't take - I'm coming back for it, guys. Really enjoyed the food. More and better videos coming.

We went there for a dinner last night. Have to say that the food was amazing especially Mozzarella and Bruschetta starters. Restaurant was lovely too.

Update.....back open and serving great delicious foods again 😁. Delightful, flavorful and plentiful dishes! All at reasonable prices. My family have dined at the restaurant many times and in the current climate I order a collection to try to support this local restaurant. All dishes were perfectly cooked, packed and piping hot. Would definitely recommend all the dishes we had but the one that i really enjoyed was the Meatball appetizer, really good tangy tomato sauce to compliment 3 perfect meatballs. Calzone mains were massive and i struggled to finish mine, outstanding for only £10.50!! I can't really comment on the staff as only the chef/owner was there but he's polite, professional and attentive. Hopefully this restaurant will be back open fully on the 4th of July so please come out and show your support! Parking is limited and can be tricky.

Having recently moved to the area, we were in search of a decent, traditional and friendly Italian - and we've found it! 😍 Both waitress and 'Chef' were very friendly and engaged with us super quickly, finding us (the last) table on a busy Monday night and taking our order promptly. We ordered a fair bit for two of us, so Chef even came to check we were OK, instead of just serving, which I really rate. Food was absolutely delicious, well presented and the portion sizes were great, especially for the fair pricing. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of it, but we had a much needed, authentic Italian meal. We shall definitely return to try more of the menu. Thanks again, Azzurro 🫶🏻

Probably the best dining experience in Eltham. The staff is super-friendly I went with family and everyone enjoyed their meal. Had a saly & pepper squid starter, with chilli and onion garnish, a simple but great appetiset to go for. We tried the salmon which was great, and I went for the ribeye which was cooked perfect medium , juicy and tender. I've asked for an affogato which is not on the menu but they kindly made for me. Btw I was a chef and teaching chefs currently, so I guess I'm a bit critical but everything was great today at the Legends. The decor and the athmosphere is catchy and can't give enough compliment for both food and the service! Highly recommended!

Nice and cozy restaurant, but the star of the show is food, amazing starters and ribs, meat falling off the bone covered in delicious sauce with sides, nice crispy and thin fries, very tasty king prawns as well.

Was disappointed by the Tbone last visit, but oh boy did they redeem themselves tonight, we had shrimps with avocado and wings to start followed by Chateaubriand as main. What can I say but melt in your mouth steak. I will 100% return. Hospitality and ambience great and will recommend and return soon . 😀😃🙂 and great selection of Wine !!! BECKY the owner is amazing such care for her guests and I really can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing local Thai restaurant with super tasty food and great drinks. Really enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls, prawn toast and gaeng kari goong - highly recommend a visit.

Been wanting to try this place since I moved to the area, and it didn’t disappoint. The decor is beautiful with Thai culture themed, giving a comfort and authentic look to it. The staff were friendly and attentive, with great service throughout. The foods are authentic with plenty of options. We loved everything we tried, especially papaya salad is on point, the main dishes are on a bit sweet side but still tasted authentic. the desserts, which were absolutely divine! loved the drinks too. Definitely going back to try more dishes.

It's one of the best Thai restaurants I've visited in a long time. When I arrived, the place was empty, and for a moment, I thought it might be a bad sign. However, I was wrong. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the decor was ok. I also noticed a lot of riders coming for takeaway orders, indicating they work with delivery partners. The only downside was the price of soft drinks—around £5 for a small glass, which, in my opinion, is very steep. Nevertheless, I will definitely be back.

Just had a beautiful meal at the Eltham GPO. Everything was delicious and nicely cooked. We couldn't fault anything, whatsoever. Our waitress was lovely. Very attentive. Such a nice evening. Will definitely be returning soon.

Loving the recent refurbishment and more importantly the great sounding and tasting menu. The menu has a good variety of dishes (but not too big) which allows the kitchen to push out great tasting pub and bistro level food. The Korean chicken bites were delicious and I was very happy to see a bit of fusion on their menu. The fish and chips was flavoursome and fresh, definitely a lot better than other pubs in the area. The chicken schnitzel was crispy and cooked well but could have done with perhaps a bit more flavour in the breadcrumb to whack it up a notch. The sticky toffee pudding was the perfect (and filling) end to the meal, a definite winner. The service was great and the staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back to try the Sunday roasts!

Updated..... Good pint of cobra here now. Prices have increased! now combination kebabs are £27 from £19 when I did the first review. Handly placed to grab a bite before going to the local cinema.. Good quality Turkish restaurant with extensive menu selection. Finally got to dine here after members of my family recommend it to me who dine here regularly. Firstly I was surprised with the size of the restaurant its huge. Formerly pizza hut. comfortable seating and clean dining area. We was just popping in for a light lunch but they do serve decent portions here and well presented perfectly cooked dishes. Excellent pint of draught larger here EFS. I do find the food expensive here now compared to others. Service friendly and pleasant . Will definitely return soon.

Met with my lovely friend, after a while since our last catch up. Decided on trying this fabulous place, and it was lovely. Food was amazing, ambience perfect and service was great. Its not the cheapest but has to be the best. Will definitely be back

I’ve come to Rox’s countless amounts of times, not once have I been let down. The customer service here is beyond amazing, they really are all so lovely. The BBQ ribs are honestly the most tender and flavoursome ribs I have ever had, they never get it wrong. All the lambs and chicken are so filling with the generous portions and the drinks are incredible. I’ve tried majority of the menu and it’s all so incredible. I would highly recommend, always book a table because they’re always so busy and rightly so.

A friend suggested this place one weekday evening, and we went without a reservation. Despite being busy they managed to squeeze us in and to be honest I wasn't prepared for just how good the food was. I had the lamb shank, which came with large, delicious sides of salad and potatoes (see photo). The shank itself was the best I've had for decades - perfectly spiced, amazing flavour, and it fell off the bone. My friend was just as happy with his doner kebab. Service was friendly, and it wasn't overpriced. Highly recommended.
