Hammond's Restaurant & Wine Bar
105-107 Station Rd E, Oxted RH8 0AX, UK | Wine Bar P: 01883 771215
Rating: 4.9 (69) Price Level:
Best Sunday roast of any pub or restaurant we’ve ever been to. Offers a “smaller” vs “larger” portion size and small one was definitely the right size for me, husband had the large. Perfect balance of roast potatoes, gravy, really tender chicken breast and buttery fresh broccoli. Nothing from frozen here, the chef is fantastic! Loads of options for even the pickiest of eaters and our kids loved it too. Not cheap but the food is quality so if you’re looking for great ambiance with warm and friendly feel, great service and exceptional cuisine, don’t hesitate. Oh- and the toilets are very fancy looking and sparking clean. Always a good sign!

It was our first experience at Hammond's so we decided to eat in the restaurant (upstairs). The decor is art deco but with vibes of a Parisian brasserie. The options were the tasting menu or the à la carte two or three course, we opted for the three course à la carte (£58pp). Also included in the price is canapés, bread, coffee/tea and petit fours. The food was beautifully presented, tasted absolutely incredible and the portion sizing was very generous. The service from the second we walked in the door until the second we left was excellent. We are already looking forward to our next meal there. If you haven't tried the fine dining restaurant at Hammond's it is an absolute must, the service, food and setting is 100% worth the money.

Extensive wine and cocktail menu and a classic British menu with some twists. Highly recommend.

I only gave this place 5 star. It could easily be more, if you could give more 7 or 8 maybe more. We tried the restaurant. On arrival you will be swept up stairs to this oasis of calm. With classic designs and service to match. Chef Tom is managing to produce some amazing food for his taster menu. Fooling your eyes with colour and images. The palette is hit with taste combinations and textures that blow your mind. This is not a hidden gem. More of a come look at me "I've arrived". Go try it before there is a waiting list for tables. This is the kind of restaurant that you will surely recommend to others.

Best meal ever! We had the most wonderful evening here. We had the tasting menu which was unbelievable. The food is delicious and so different to anything else around. The chef is amazing! The staff are lovely and so helpful. The owner is great and made his way around to check everyone was happy. The restaurant is beautiful and so clean and cosy. We were there for a birthday treat and they really made us feel special. Would 100% recommend this restaurant!

Copper Ceylon
32 East St, London, Bromley BR1 1QU, UK | Restaurant P: 07745 527924
Rating: 4.8 (1435) Price Level:
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Copper Ceylon in Bromley, and it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant offers a delightful blend of traditional Sri Lankan recipes with a modern twist, creating a unique and flavorful dining experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with beautiful Sri Lankan decorations that add to the overall charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. The food was simply outstanding. The curries were rich and flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices. The seafood dishes were particularly impressive, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. The beverage selection was equally impressive, with a variety of exotic cocktails that perfectly complemented the meal.I loved the Espresso Martini. Overall, Copper Ceylon is a fantastic restaurant that I highly recommend. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a group outing, or a business meeting, this place has it all. I can't wait to visit again!

Very tasty food with relaxed but stylish atmosphere. The roti didn’t look to large but was incredibly filling, but my favourite was the Hot batrered squid as a starter.

I’ve dined here before and would happily return - the staff are Super friendly and accommodating & the vibes are lush. Delicious food (although I wish the naans / sides were larger portions)!

Bussi's Bites
23 High St, Westerham TN16 1RA, UK | Restaurant P: 01959 563556
Rating: 4.9 (39) Price Level:
Amazing fusion of Jamaican and Italian cuisine in Westerham! The Jerk Chicken was absolutely delicious, and the customer service was top-notch. They also serve the best Moretti Italian beer in town. The live music was fantastic, with a mix of older and newer songs that added to the perfect vibe. Highly recommend this gem for a great night out!
Rating: 5 / 5
A wonderful, freshly prepared supper straight from the cucina, imaginative & classic combined to deliver a joyful and delicious meal. Beetroot carpaccio, peach ice cream! Things one can only dream of until you eat with Lola & Bussi. Can’t wait to return.
Rating: 5 / 5
This restaurant is well worth a visit. Is fusion food between Italian and Jamaican which sounds a bit strange but it genuinely worked. Was all made to order, with incredible ingredients, and was delicious. It felt like we were sitting in someone's kitchen eating their homecooked food. And the owners are lovely people, whom i would rather give my money to on an evening out than anywhere else. Would highly recommend. We ended up talking to them for ages about where they source their ingredients from and I cannot begin to explain the effort they go to to source amazing ingredients. It's worth every penny. We had the Jamaican Beef Patties to start which were delicious and then the Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Arancini Balls. All were amazing. Oh and their deserts were absolutely unreal. Had the lemon ricotta cake which was SUPERB

Popped in for lunch. The look of the place drew us in. A delightful meal was cooked with love. The aubergine was delightful and the jerk chicken to die for. Lola and Fabrizio deserve to go from strength to strength. Could not recommend it highly enough.
Rating: 5 / 5
Came here with my god daughter as the brunch place we originally planned to go to was busy with no booking. So glad we found Bussi Bites as Fabrizio and Lola ( owners ) are delightful. The food was all cooked by Fabrizio and so good I ate starter main AND dessert. It shows how welcome they are that I already know their names . Am a visitor to the area but will be back and next time have some wine from an interesting looking Italian selection.

Titsey Brewing Co.
Clarks Lane Farm, Tatsfield, Westerham TN16 2JU, UK | N/A P: 07301 170171
Rating: 4.8 (129) Price Level:
A fantastic new Taproom. Great kitchen. Tried a couple of the Burgers - The Spicy One and the BBQ Bacon - the patties are local beef and were really well made and cooked. The buns were really light. Well worth a try. Only sampled the Marmaduke Cider so can’t comment yet on any of the beers. Good place to visit and on a sunny day sitting outside with the views across the valley it would be very relaxing.
Rating: 5 / 5
We got there at the end of a lovely afternoon in the countryside, at it was the perfect place to stop! Incredible view of the Surrey Hills, relaxing spot, big comfortable tables, generally chilled atmosphere. We tried some of the beers, classic English cask styles with a twist, very nice and fresh. It's a very green and calming area. The brewery is very part of the beautiful scenery that surrounds it.

If you love a burger and pints (IPAs, Ales, Lagers and Cider) I strongly recommend. If that’s not your thing… Great selection of vegetarian options, local wines, variety of bar snacks, friendly staff. Plus the breathtaking views from the top of the north downs.

I’ve been going to this restaurants for years, it’s one of my favourites. I went for my birthday, families birthdays & it’s great for date night too. It has a warm atmosphere & the food is always delicious. They have great vegetarian options & the service i can’t fault.
Rating: 5 / 5
Very very good food indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. Fantastic pizza and pasta selection. Very friendly staff, especially towards children! Only reason for the lower points is that the baby changing is in the female toilets. 21st century!! This needs to change!! What if I was out alone with the children! Doesn’t take American Express, has high chairs. Delicious food.

Great food and generous portions. The restaurant was superbusy yet service was good and friendly. Very fair prices

We went to Gucina on Saturday afternoon for a late lunch after swimming. Although we had no prior reservation the staff were lovely and polite and we were sat promptly. It was pretty busy so definitely recommend to book ahead of time. The menu is rich with starters, pasta, pizzas and more and they have a children’s menu, too. My partner ordered the vegan pasta, I had margarita pizza and our little one had tomato sauce spaghetti. It was all delicious and very authentic. There are a few vegan options, but it’d be great to see a few more plant based meals. We’ll definitely come back again.

Chapter One
Farnborough Common, Locksbottom, Orpington BR6 8NF, UK | Restaurant P: 01689 854848
Rating: 4.6 (1171) Price Level:
A beautifully appointed restaurant and overall fine dining experience. On arrival we were warmly greeted by our hosts and escorted to our table by numerous friendly and courteous staff. Service was swift, polished professional. Our waitress was a lovely lady, very patient in answering our questions and engaging in conversation about the restaurant. Starter was a lobster raviolo and was really delicious, the delicate crepe pastry went really well with the lightness of the lobster filling. Main course was venison, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection although I think the portion size should have been just a bit larger. Dessert was a lovely warm apple tart tatin, rich with cinnamon and well balanced between the sweet and the tartness. The only issue is a minor one and is largely not the fault of the restaurant. There was a party of approximately seven people in the middle of the room who started loud and made more and more noise as the night wore on until my friend and I literally couldn't hear our own conversation. The staff totally failed to address this problem so I had to take it upon myself to quieten them down in my own inimicable style. It was frustrating that a Michelin star fine dining experience was marred by the failure of the staff to deal with people who had all the grace of a hen night in Blackpool. I'm not overreacting or being a snob about this. I have no problem with people having fun and being a bit boisterous but this was just ridiculous. Other than that minor blemish I think this is a really good restaurant and well worth a visit.

Have wanted to visit for many years as I live close by but have been slightly put off by the lack of variety for vegans and vegetarians (as is the case in most high end restaurants). Decided to put these reservations aside as the festive cocktails looked so appealing. From start to finish it was a polished, professional and delicious experience and does make you wonder why you’d ever bother going into London to find fine dining again when it’s right on your doorstep. Was welcomed into the bar first where the cocktails were wonderful (and potent!) then tried the vegetarian gnocchi with sides. Although the portions look small, the food is rich and filling, and a delight to the tastebuds. Another big win for me is food served on hot plates as I eat very slowly and hate cold food. Why doesn’t every restaurant do this? Perfect service and will definitely be back.

OVERVIEW Posh restaurant, post food, posh service BUT, à la carte menu offers quality over quantity food at extortionate prices! PLUS + The restaurant is described as “Modern European food,” which it is indeed! might I add prepared with fresh, tasteful, and of the finest quality ingredients. + Despite a constantly changing menu, one is always able to find a menu favourite as the food on this restaurant's à la carte menu remains top-notch at a 5* level! + A variety of different menu choices that cater to all food preferences. + The “pan-fried south coast hake” was fresh, cooked in a rich, flavourful, and creamy sauce, accompanied by green legumes, which complimented the dish better than any carbs. + The “glazed vanilla crème brûlée” was very good. + The complementary breadbasket came with homemade butter bread, which came straight out of the oven! It was rich and buttery the best bread I have had in my life! table of 5 consensus. + Complimentary starter and dessert sweets. + The brasserie dining area is posh, private, and intimate. Perfect anniversary or Valentine’s Day spot! MINUS - A main meal alone was not enough to fulfil and satisfy, as most mains on the à la carte menu had starter portion sizes. - Overpriced, at around £75 for a three-course meal, that is not part of the a la carte set menu. - A table is restricted to orders from one of the menus only, defeating the purpose of having multiple menu options. - The “tandoori Cornish monkfish” was fresh but slightly under-cooked and so subtle in favour you would not associate it with Indian tandoori, consensus of 3. The citrus salads and tzatziki, however, were flavourful and complimented the fish well. - The “strawberry cheesecake” had a fancy presentation but did not taste like cheesecake at all (consensus of 2). - The restaurants could benefit from a quick, hassle-free table QR code payment method, with the option to individually self-select payments or split the bill between the group. - Due to limited walking availability, you have to book weeks in advance to get a table at the brasserie dining area. - Limited and odd opening hours. TABLE ORDERS Starters: * Tandoori Cornish Monkfish Mains: * Pan-fried South Coast Hake * Roast rack of new season Kentish lamb * Cauliflower Cheese Crostilliant Desserts: * Glazed Vanilla Crème Brûlée * Strawberry Cheesecake * Baked Amalfi Lemon Tart * Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding
Rating: 5 / 5
So pleased I was able to get a last minute booking in the brasserie, as it was a really lovely meal. Attentive service, a great mojito, and really tasty food! The tuna tacos were my favourite and the sea bream was cooked perfectly. Planning to return for the a la carte 3 course menu soon.
Rating: 4 / 5
We visited Chapter One for a birthday celebration with my wife and son. There was no kids menu, but it wasn't a problem for us. The service was excellent—polite and attentive staff. We had a three-course set menu. While the monkfish starter wasn’t to my taste, the venison main was very good. I really liked the pie on the side. The dessert was delicious, and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It's a very good restaurant, but it doesn't have the London gloss and for £270 you can visit a very good restaurant in London.

Cattle & Cocktail
10 Station Rd W, Oxted RH8 9EP, UK | Steak House P: 01883 722377
Rating: 4.6 (497) Price Level:
Me and my partner were recommended Cattle & Cocktails by a family friend. I can honestly say I’ve never had such a pleasant experience when going out for a meal. It was line and my partners 7 year anniversary - and were welcomed with a glass of bubbly to celebrate the occasion. We were here on a Wednesday so we could take advantage of the £20pp deal they had on, adding a bottle of wine to the meal. The steak frittes were fantastic, and the steak was cooked to perfection. One of the better meals I’ve had in a long time, and I won’t hesitate to come back or recommend to other friends and family.
Rating: 4 / 5
Our first visit to the Cattle & Cocktail for a date night. We were met by the manager as we entered who showed us to our table. He was very welcoming and hospitable. Our waitress was over to us within a couple of minutes to take our drinks orders and we also ordered olives and halloumi bites with chili jam as an appertizer. When they were brought to us we ordered scallops and king prawns for starters and for the mains salmon and the large rib eye steak. The scallops and prawns were very tasty and well presented on the plates. The salmon was presented on a bed of mash potato served with fine green beans. The rib eye was a bit over done for me. I asked for medium rare and it came a touch over cooked. However the steak was well seasoned and a good size. The only other issue with the steak is that I had to order chips as a side to have with it. At £36 for a steak I would expect chips to come with it. I have had better steaks for less money when eating out. Looking at the red wine list, there are only certain wines that you can have a glass of. I wanted a glass of Argentinian Malbec but it was only served as a bottle. The total bill was just over £155 for 2 people with 3 cocktails and 2 Peronis so although this is a nice restaurant with lovely staff it is overpriced and expensive. Would I go back? I would for a special occassion but for a general eating out experience there are more reasonable priced restaurants around the area of Oxted.

Had the most lovely, tasty dinner here last night. My fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Very attentive staff, calm and peaceful atmosphere (seated to the front) will definitely be returning

What a great place. The decor is really Good and well set out. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great place for a drink with some amazing cocktails. And good wine selection. The food was really good. I had seafood risotto and my wife the mushroom truffle risotto. Next time, I have to try the steaks. My daughter had kids' pasta, which was really tasty. You could easily spend a whole evening in this amazing venue.

Enjoyed a delicious 3 course lunch here with my daughter today. The restaurant has a very stylish interior with comfortable seating and beautiful decor. It also boasts a lovely outdoor seating area for al fresco dining. The staff were very friendly and welcoming too. The food was delicious, with interesting dishes and flavour combinations and all ingredients tasting extremely fresh. Excellent value for money and a very enjoyable lunch spent in very sumptuous surroundings. Thank you very much to Junior and his staff team…we will definitely return!

The Bakery Restaurant and Rooms
Westmore Rd, Tatsfield, Westerham TN16 2AG, UK | Restaurant P: 01959 577605
Rating: 4.6 (257) Price Level:
We stayed here as a family weekend of 19/20 October. It seems there has been a change in ownership management recently and the new people are settling in. Rooms: first glance look great, but lots of little niggles which just needs looking into. Suspect they are problems which just didn't get dealt with by previous management. However, warm, cosy and comfortable. Food: we only had breakfast. First day was excellent. Great quick service and quality food. Second morning not so efficient. However, not fault of staff/owner. There was an absence in kitchen, so only one person for cooking and serving. People in our party offered help, and it was graciously accepted, turning a problem into an experience instead. A lot of people would turn down help out of 'ego', so accepting help is the mark of person without ego. Service: great customer service. From arrival, to adapting some room allocation, to breakfast the team were attentive, proactive, respectful, funny and kind. Overall, yep a few niggles but not all the fault of new owners. Yep, I'd go back.

I’m a fussy, snob and I’m used to Michelin star restaurants, but my best friend introduced me to Napoli and this has got to be one of the best Italian restaurants around! The food is superb, the staff are brilliant, the atmosphere is fantastic! Everything is very well priced including the alcohol!! It would be very hard to find a better Italian restaurant! It’s no wonder they’ve been in business for such a long time! Keep up the amazing work guys and see you soon!

What a fabulous restaurant! Cosy welcoming atmosphere, fantastic service from Matthew, truly wonderful food, great value. The Zucchine alle scapece is one of the tastiest things I’ve ever eaten. Ever. A delicious authentic Neapolitan specialty, do try it. I can’t recommend Napoli E highly enough, we’ll be back really soon.

Rating: 4.5 (234) Price Level:
Been coming here for around ten years. Best breakfast by a country mile. Lovely cheery staff with relaxing Jazz playing in the background. Easy 5* review.
Rating: 4 / 5
Nice breakfast. Good service. Very good coffee. Friend said she really liked her croque monsieur. But the boudin noir listed on french breakfast was normal commercially available british black pudding and not real the genuine item. Paper napkins and table cloths also let the experience down in what trying to an upmarket brasserie.
