This has to be the best west Indian Restaurant in Brixton the food is delicious. I had the boneless curry mutton which was fabulous with the rum punch which I had two glasses of the service was great and the place is small but very cosy and I would highly recommend it to friends and family..

The food was delicious, the quantities filling enough that we had to take some home. The jerk wings were spicy but amazing. Presentation is an A! Staff - polite and attentive. Definitely will go back again.

The food was very good. A lot of meat, I would say 2 portions of meat which was nicely seasoned. Service was slow due to there only being one chef for 35 people.

The food was extremely flavoursome and seasoned throughout. A lovely take on authentic Caribbean cuisine. Wings were second to none, shrimps were juicy and perfectly cooked. Main and sides complemented each other beautifully and cocktail was vibrant and delicious, and as was picturesque, professional presentation. Hospitality was wonderful. Left feeling full and content. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Really nice jamaican restaurant inside Brixton market alley. Good selection of food, amazing spicy prawns and plantain banana. Definetly recommend to stop there for some plates to share!

We were just walking around and saw this place serving Caribbean Tapas , made us very curious to try it. It was really a great experience each dish was unique in flavor everything was very well seasoned. Each item had its own identity and flavor profile. I recommend you go with a couple of friends so you can ordered different things to try.

Nice Caribbean tapas place from the great owner of Fish Tings Wings .Brilliant quality food, prawns, wings, absolutely loved the fish, so nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. Service was perfect, the place has got its own personality. Highly recommended.

All the food is packed full of flavour! The jerk bbq sauce on the wings was unreal! The prawns were juicy and paired perfectly with their tamarind sauce. We would highly recommended this restaurant and will certainly be going back to try the rest of the menu. Reasonably priced too!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at the Clink Restaurant in HMP Brixton, and it was an unforgettable experience, especially with their festive Christmas menu. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, a refreshing contrast to the prison setting. The restaurant is well-designed, offering a comfortable dining experience. One aspect that surprised me was how many guests seemed unaware of the prison's guidelines. It's crucial to read the restrictions, as certain items are not allowed on the premises it will be emailed to you once your submission has been accepted. Additionally, be sure to arrive 30 minutes before your booking time, as this is necessary for the search and security protocols. The highlight of our visit was the impeccable service from Mohamed. His professionalism and attentiveness made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations on the Christmas specials that truly enhanced our dining experience. Now, about the food! The Christmas menu featured a delightful selection of seasonal dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor. It was clear that the kitchen team takes great pride in their work, and we appreciated the chance to enjoy such a festive meal in this extraordinary setting. Overall, our visit to the Clink Restaurant was not only a unique dining experience but also an opportunity to support an initiative that provides training and rehabilitation for inmates. We left feeling satisfied by both the excellent food and the meaningful impact of our visit. I highly recommend dining at the Clink Restaurant, especially during the holiday season. One of the most interesting dining experiences I have ever had. The extensive searching on the way in sets the tone and being taken through numerous locked gates. But the Roast lunch was really good, albeit the cutlery was plastic for safety reasons but the service was great. There is a specific time you leave so if you finish your meal early you just have to wait to be let out. All in all, worth a visit for the experience and the Roast!

A special meal for my birthday and it was fantastic, Tim our waiter was just brilliant. Was filling our water glasses before we even noticed, recommended drinks based on our likes. He was superb with my partner who had multiple allergies to egg milk and nuts. When a course accidentally came out with a sauce which he thought could have milk it in, he quickly made a replacement himself so we could eat together. He sadly had to go quickly at the end, so didn’t have time to thank him properly for how brilliant he was. He was credit to the Clink and HMP Brixton. Will come back for afternoon tea and hope that lovely Tim or his colleagues are working. And hope that I’m served by Tim again in the future!

What a fabulous experience! This culinary experience is a program for those chosen from the Brixton prison to participate in growing, cooking, and serving food to paying customers in order to provide a skill to utilize after their sentence is over. Reservations need to be 7 days in advance and require several security questions and a £15pp deposit. Several dining options are available. Lunch, afternoon tea, and Thursday night gourmet 3-course dinner, we chose the last option. You need to put belongings into a locker as no phones or personal items except for a credit card to pay are allowed. The photos included, except the one of me in my prison issued boots, were pulled off the internet. I made the mistake of wearing open toe sandals, which were not permitted, so I was issued standard prison issued boots to wear. You will go through a metal detector and pat down to enter. Once inside, it looks like any other restaurant. The food was very good. The appetizer was a king crab on a crumpets. The main dish was a paparadrlle of pork and mushrooms in brown gravy. Dessert was an English strawberry tart. Coffee and soft drinks are available at an additional cost. The cost per person was £47, but your £15 deposit is subtracted. Brixton is a men's prison, so all the culinary students are men. They were kind, funny, and happy to chat and seemed like servers from any restaurant. This was a great experience, and they have a few items for sale that help the clink charity. I bought the cook books and a bag. Pictures are included.

Dropped by here for lunch. Coxinha and chicken skewers were absolutely delicious and very well priced. Would absolutely recommend. Everything is freshly made and the owner is very friendly

As we entered Brixton Village searching for something to eat, we were overwhelmed by the great smells and numerous restaurant options. While struggling to decide, I spotted the Brazilian flag on the Cantinho Miniero sign and wanted to try more Brazilian food which I'd not had since 2013. We were only after something quick and light, but we entered a Brazilian quick-eat adventure. Before looking at the menu, I saw coxinha, something I’d always wanted to try, so we quickly ordered them. We decided on a small platter containing little Coxinhas, Risoles, and another snack. It was also suggested to try Pão de Queijo, a cheese-filled baked good, all washed down with Guaraná Antarctica for a real Brazilian experience. The food was very nice, especially the extra Coxinha, which had a tasty chicken filling and soft yet firm dough covered in breadcrumbs. The Pão de Queijos were almost gold coloured, almost matching the melted cheese inside. To add to the flavors, we had condiments of Aioli and chili oil. I tried everything on its own first, then added Aioli, chili oil, and both together. So good. 😊 I never thought I’d have such a great time just eating snack food, but this was enhanced by the great service. The friendly guy who served us had a great conversation about the food we ordered and the other main meals on the buffet, like Feijoada, which I’d love to return to try. He was proud of his country and its culture. Upon leaving, we were given an unexpected surprise, a sweet called Brigadeiros, which is the size of a golf ball containing cocoa, condensed milk, and butter, surrounded by chocolate sprinkles. This little dessert was one of the nicest sweets I’ve ever eaten, with a gooey and delicious center. If you want Brazilian food reminiscent of home-cooked meals, do swing by. I’ll definitely be back to sample the buffet next time, as I now have a thing for Brazil and its culture, wanting more of the food! 🇧🇷😃💜

Love the street food vibe! Reminds me of back home! Giovanni & Igor are super friendly and explain all the dishes! The best part is the dessert, the creme caramel!!! The balance between the sweet and slight bitterness of the caramel is out of this world!!

You can't look past the prices here. This is not gourmet food but you get a big portion and it's perfectly decent. The service was excellent.

I'm so glad I finally came to Turtle Bay, we chose the brixton one. The atmosphere, and cleanliness was brilliant and the music made our brunch even lovelier. Danni was excellent, we couldn't of asked for better attention and service in general. And she makes the best cocktails I've had in ages 🍸 🍹 😋 I didn't really like my burger but my friend loved hers-so we will be coming back to try something else very soon

My mom and I went shopping in brixton and decided on an impromptu bottomless brunch since we walked in and were greeted by Gabby she was amazing a beautiful smile a friendly and welcoming attitude and gave such good recommendations when it come to drink and food choices! Turtle bay I hope you appreciate and love her! She is an amazing employee ! GABBY WE LOVE YOU

Great food, great drinks and fairly decent service. Servers were very friendly and the food was really good. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The new Christmas set menu is great price too, and includes a cocktail on either 2 course or 3. Overall really good time here. My only complaint, when it did get busy, we were forgotten about a tad. We had to try and catch waiters as they went past to reorder drinks etc. But they were very busy, looked like they could’ve used another waiter or two on a busy evening. Overall very enjoyable time, would return.

So good and great staff ! The beef cheek stew with peas and rice was on point! If you love oxtails, make sure you try this dish. The cocktails hit the spot too… definitely making back to try something else on the menu since what I ate did not disappoint!!!

We had a great dinner with friends here. Everything from the starters to the dessert was delicious. Really authentic Sicilian food! Handmade tagliatelle pesto Trapanese was my personal favourite (in the pic)! However also pallotte cacio e ova were amazing! Great service too. Will come back for sure!

Nero di seppia tagliatelle dish was the highlight of the visit. If you decide to go for that one, please make sure you wipe your mouth thoroughly, before leaving the restaurant. Either this or you may end up on the receiving end of people admiring your unusual, seafood based makeup.

Incredible Italian in Brixton and by far one of the best restaurants in the area. The host was incredibly kind, warm and inviting on Christmas Eve.. each dish was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the arancini and ended up ordering one of each on the menu! All reasonably priced. You must try this restaurant!!!

Came here before a concert, got squeezed in before the 7.30pm rush. The food was nothing short of marvelous, and the pasta was handmade and delicious. The sauces that came with the Sfincione and the pasta were all fresh and perfectly spiced.

Food was delicious felt authentic although I’m not an expert. Can get a little chilly if you sit outside but fine if you have warm jacket. Service was great and meal felt good quality and good value. Great options for vegetarian/vegan.

There was a short line when I got there but they were clearing tables fairly quickly. The okonomiyaki are authentic, just like the ones I had in Japan. Their menu looks really good and has a wide variety. I was tempted to order five things. The prices are reasonable. 11 pounds for an okonomiyaki. The staff was really friendly as well.

Delicious lunch! We absolutely loved having lunch at this restaurant. From starters, to mains and to desserts everything tasted really good and fresh. It’s an explosion of flavours very well combined. The drinks are also very nice and the desserts also delicious. Portions of the mains are huge, if we knew it before, we would probably have ordered only one main as it was too much food and we ended up bringing some of the meat home. The staff is very friendly, there’s lots of staff members, and the service is incredibly fast. I don’t remember of being served as fast as in this restaurant and the food arrived very fast too. The only negative side is that there are no updated information about this restaurant on google, they don’t have an website and the prices are very different then anything I’ve found online. The prices are a bit on the higher side, we’ve paid £84 pounds for 2 people. The only thing that I wasn’t very happy about it is that on the receipt it says “gratuity not included”, but they will add a 10% of the bill that they will write on the receipt. I didn’t feel that this is the way that should be done, because it should either be on the receipt or not there at all and the costumer would give whatever they feel that would be fair. You can see on the receipt how it looks like. The owner is very nice and kind, came to say goodbye at the door, we felt very welcome. We’ll certainly be back as we loved the experience.

The empanadas are the perfect size and are always satisfyingly crunchy and generously filled with juicy, flavorful meat. I appreciate that they contain minimal potato, just the way I like them. The only empanadas worth paying for are the ones made at Lalo's! The service was fast and foh team were friendly, attentive and charismatic. All the food was cooked perfectly, and the meats were juicy, tender, and well seasoned.

Incredibly welcome atmosphere :) the place, externally, internally, the music, what an amazing vibe! Everything is so inviting!!! As soon as you start to talk with the staff you feel even happier, everyone is friendly! A big thanks to Sebastian who looked after us on Saturday night, such a kind person. The food was delicious, so authentic and tasty. The size of the dishes were generous. Our group had people from Brazil, Peru, Portugal, Ireland, England and we were all impressed with this place :) We are already planning a return trip! Thanks for a lovely night.

The food here is really nice. The place is located within Brixton Village, where you can eat in or alfresco. I'll definitely go here again. They also have two for one cocktails Sunday to Thursday aswell. The staff are very attentive. However, sometimes you may need to go looking for them as they are not always present.

We went twice, we like the classic breakfast and the salmon bread, we didn't like the avocado bread/seňor it was vinegary or sth about it just wasn't right. We appreciate good hot chocolate and very nice environment. Waiting time was long.

Always a reliable brunch spot in Brixton Village. I’ve been twice and really enjoyed the food and coffee both times. Sometimes the service can be a bit slow but they’re always friendly. Plus, the BBQ looks delicious as well
