The Best Restaurants in Chelsea, Greater London, United Kingdom (2025)

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 young kids that visited Medlar for lunch on a Sunday. The décor did feel a bit formal but the friendly staff helped to create a relaxed atmosphere. They offer a price fixe menu of between 1 and 3 courses (with an optional extra cheese course), which felt refreshingly old school in this era of sharing plates that we all live in. Between the 4 adults, we tried out the crab raviolo and slow cooked rabbit starters, followed by the roast quail, calf’s liver and roast guinea fowl mains. For dessert we shared the tart tatin, crème brulee and warm chocolate mousse. The food was beautifully presented and quite flavourful as well. From the starters we tried the crab raviolo was the clear winner, all the mains seemed similarly good, while the tart tatin was an excellent finisher to the meal. I must give special mention to the kid friendliness of the place, as this is not what I expected after reviewing the published menu online which wouldn’t appeal to younger kids. They were very accommodating to our children and offered to tailor make a dish using any mix of items on the menu at a reasonable price of £20. On that note the service was a real highlight of our meal, all the staff we interacted with seemed so genuine and friendly. The bill for the 6 of us came to £414 of which £92 was spent on drinks. The set price per adult of £58 for 3 courses is a relative bargain in this part of town (note that the price does vary based on time of the week, even though very similar menus are on offer), even more so once you consider their very generous servings of complementary bread as well as the chocolate truffles after our meal. On the whole an excellent meal in a place with old worldly charm and with so many tempting items on the menu yet to be tried, I will certainly be back in future…

Simply stunning dining experience! Our second visit and now firmly our treat restaurant when in London. Everything from the friendly, on-point service to the beautiful food and ambience. Unusual for a place to get everything right. Beautiful bread, wonderfully fresh and tasty. Crab ravioli is a fabulous starter. Rump beef and halibut were both amazing dishes. And ordered the triple cooked chips, simply the best chips I've ever tasted. We shared a cheese board, it was huge and some of the cheeses were sublime. Washed down with a few sherries and a bottle of wine, we can't recommend it highly enough. Wonderful dining experience and they overheard me saying to my husband that he could choose the wine as it was his birthday. With the cheese came a creme brule, candle and the team singing happy birthday to my husband. Exceptionally observant service and executed with style and friendliness. We can't wait until we can visit again.

We went to Medlar after having tried Cornus a couple of times and were curious to explore the connection. There were some similarities for sure (the reindeer table ornament and the gougeres to start!) but it remains its own distinct, delightful experience. The gougeres to start were large, hollow- satisfying but not heavy! We felt the set menu format was great value - I ended up trying a lovely soup with sweetbreads for starter. It was a warm, delicious and slightly sweet soup that paired well with the fried savoriness of the sweetbread. My mains was a delicious roast Guinea fowl on a bed of spatzle - generous! I rounded off the meal by sharing an excellent tarte tatin with a crème fraiche ice cream which was a show-stopper dessert to cap off a leisurely afternoon!

Disappointing duck and beef - quality and cooking. Chefs / kitchen staff work in small and cramped conditions, all noted because they are visible en route to the bathrooms. Great service, mostly lovely food, and wine was great. £600 was way too much for 2 people for this experience, relative to other restaurants of a similar standard. Both guests feel the same.

Went there for an early lunch, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, pizza was really nice with huge chunks of delicious burrata. Gamberoni had some super fresh Argentinian shrimps. Cosy, laid back atmosphere and really decent prices.

There are not many restaurants like this one. What makes them one of a kind is the nice feel of this place. Genuine family run restaurant with super friendly staff and owner. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable. We had mussels for starter and 2 pizzas for main - food was so good I forgot to take a photo of the starter!

Delicious authentic Italian food! Great service and nice staff. (Note: The Parmesan cheese was added to my choice) Everything was fresh and tasty. The place itself it’s really small and where we were there it was overcrowded, so make sure you reserve your seat. Really recommend for Italian food lovers!

This pub is very cutesy very demure. They don’t do too much and don’t do too little. They are very mindful and do just enough! Loved the vibe and decor inside! I came here by myself as a solo traveler and felt very welcomed and comfortable. I had two spicy peach frozen margaritas!! These were divine but for 14£ I wish they came in a bigger glass. I sipped them down way too quickly I needed more liquid!! I ended eating dinner here I got the small fish and chips! It was really good! I enjoyed the sauce and smashed green peas that came with it. I was curious because I never had sticky toffee pudding before so I ordered that as well. It was very good! I couldn’t finish it because I was getting full! I did order an espresso martini with tequila and it was good. I loved that in the ladies bathroom they had feminine products it was very mindful of them!

If you’re looking for tasty food with a traditional British atmosphere, look no further. This pub was established in 1838 and has been preserved very well - boasting Victorian features throughout. The food was tasty - not the best of the best but tasty. If you are a tourist and want to experience the whole British pub package - come here. We had: Venison pie - rich and perfectly made Fish and chips - a tad oil but the fish was very fresh and flaky Mussels - tasty, comes with a nice zesty sauce.

The food and decorations are both 10/10. The chirashi bowl is definitely a bomb, and the steak will never disappoint you. Also if you tell the bartender what you like and he can recommend or even make a special drink just for you.

I had a fantastic experience at Meat the Fish. The environment and service are truly first-class, making for a memorable dining experience. The steak was delicious, with an excellent texture. However, I found the medium-rare option to be a bit too raw for my taste. I would suggest going for medium for a perfect balance. Highly recommend!

Do yourself a favor and visit this amazing restaurant in Chelsea. It’s our #1 spot whenever we visit London. From the starters to the desserts, each dish was so original and tasted heavenly! Make sure to try the nori burrata salad, ikura hommos, and short ribs. The design and vibe in the place is absolutely amazing, great for a night out with friends or even a romantic date night. Also, the staff is very helpful and truly cares about your experience. Highly recommended!

The weather is great today, so off to Chelsea for some dining and shopping! There's a Mediterranean-Asian fusion restaurant called Meat the Fish not far from Sloane Square, with very cute decor! They have a furry animal wall. Starters 🧀 Nori Burrata This burrata cheese is enormous, and when you cut into it, it‘s a bit running inside.The umami of the seaweed, combined with the creamy fresh burrata, the nuttiness of sesame seeds, and the fragrance of olive oil, paired with crispy toast and sweet and tangy cherry tomatoes, is absolutely delicious! 🍣 Chirashi The sushi rice, sprinkled with seaweed seasoning, is topped with fresh sashimi, including salmon roe, salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and avocado, paired with a refreshing yuzu soy sauce, making it very appetising! Mains 🐟 Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Potatoes The sea bass is very fresh, seasoned in a Mediterranean style with pepper, salt, and olive oil, which really enhances the natural flavour of the sea bass. 🥔 These potatoes are truly superb; I've never had such delicious potatoes before. They're first roasted and then fried, with a soft and tender interior and a crispy exterior. Dipped in slightly spicy mayo, they are incredibly satisfying. Desserts 🍰 Their desserts are quite simple, like a homemade chocolate cake that feels like it was made by grandma, with a solid texture and not too sweet. 🍸 Cocktails Very visually appealing and the taste is well-balanced, featuring some Asian elements in a European-style Cocktails. 💷 Average cost per person: £60 (without drinks) ~ £80 (with drinks)

Came for a lovely Saturday lunch with my husband and we had a great experience. Nuno and the front of house team were attentive and helpful, and every course was delicious and beautifully presented with impeccable attention to detail. Excellent modern British cuisine including seasonal and fresh ingredients!

Delightful experience - we had the Saturday lunch tasting menu with the optional cheese course and a few glasses of wine. Great dishes exhibiting taste and finesse- particularly liked the fallow deer mains and the starter courses of Celeriac and Beetroot. Pleasant service and the bread kept coming… I loved the leisurely lunch and would look to be back!

It was sheer luck to find this gem of a restaurant, thanks to Google, so here I am reviewing and returning the favor. From the minute I crossed the threshold, this unique experience became a refined feast for the senses. A warm welcome from Nuno, who showed me to my table for a lunch reservation (only served on Saturdays and fortunate me the only spot I had open during my stay). The sotto voce atmosphere of understated, refined elegance was just what I needed in the bustling holiday season. From the dried floral arrangements in muted fall colors, to the tile mural depicting cacao pods in relief, in honor to Hans Sloane (credited to have concocted chocolate as a beverage) everything in the dining room had a reason for being. The lunch menu was a festive parade of exquisite dishes, that far exceeded expectations. Their presentation was akin to displaying precious, high end jewelry served in French porcelain that complemented each portion, setting off their size, texture and color to delightful visual effects. From beginning to end, I felt like the last emperor being regaled with an extraordinary array of food that took consummate skill to prepare and more than that, poetic inspiration. If there is just one minor and dissonant note, is that I had a hard time understanding the verbal descriptions of what was being served. Not the professional staff's fault at all, it's just that I had not been exposed the variety of English pronunciations which are alive in London in particular. But that did not affect my thorough enjoyment of this exceptional lunch. My thanks to all the staff on the floor and behind the scenes. A shining, bright, well deserved star for each of your five fields.

A lovely arugula salad with a thin shaved parmesan on top. The Napoletana pizza was really one of the best I have had, perfect crust and lovely blend of cheese , herbs, olives and anchovies..eat it as a sandwich -so perfect. Warm and efficient service. Good value!

Ixchel is an absolute gem in Chelsea for Mexican flavours paired with the stunning atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a stylish interior that blends rustic charm with a modern touch. I can’t get enough of their margarita, exceptional, creative, balanced, and bursting with fresh flavours. The tacos are simply divine, with generous fillings and bold, authentic tastes.

Walked past this spot the other day and thought I’d love to come in for dinner. It looked cosey and loved the decor. We decided to visit on a Sunday evening at their 5:30pm opening, we didn’t pre book and was able to walk in and get a table. Parking was free off road on a Sunday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They explained the food items well. We ordered a few dishes to share. They unfortunately didn’t have the fish tacos but ordered prawns which also hit the spot. The food was on par with that I’ve had in Mexico so would definitely recommend! Loved the presentation of the dishes (don’t think the photos I took are great) It’s on my favourite list, so will be coming back.

Very nice atmosphere for lunch. Very nice and welcoming staff. Had the guacamole, pork belly tacos and the lobster bun (a good spicy bite). All were very good. The cucumber-jalapeño margarita was really good and refreshing. The only downside is the price which was high

The service was fantastic as was the food. The almond soup was surprisingly tasty. We had the six of the best menu and the wine flight and would definitely go back.

First time visit to the Knightsbridge Hawksmoor having been to Air Street and Guildhall previously and was not disappointed. First the waiter was very welcoming and took our orders and kept in touch with us. For starters we had the crab and prawn cocktail, the crab was delicious but the bread was tough and took some cutting whilst the prawn cocktail was well received. For mains some had the Chateaubriand and others the Fillet, all received their food as ordered mine being a little rare but was perfect. The accompanying wines proved a perfect match although only one bottle was available on my first choice but the sommeliers choice as a replacement was spot on. A very buzy restaurant and can be a little noisy but so be prepared. All in all l will certainly go again.

As we decided to have an early dinner at about 5:30 pm, we decided to try the express menu which was available from 5 to 6:30 pm on Monday to Saturday. (you have to ask for the menu as they don’t give it to you when you sit down.) A two-course meal was £29 and a three course was £33. I wanted the three course meal, but the portion was huge. I had potted beef with Yorkshire puddings for appetiser and rump steak with chips for main. We ordered Hawksmoor Cesar as a side also (£7) but I would not order it again next time. We had a drink each consist of wine and a pineapple soda. The total bill came to £95 which I felt was a great value for the quality and quantity of food that we had.
