The Best Restaurants in Paddington, Greater London, United Kingdom (2025)

After leaving Winter Wonderland at 3 p.m., we were all frozen and famished, thanks to the maddeningly unforgiving wind in London, and thus desperate for a cosy restaurant to rest a bit and, above all, to have a nice late lunch/early dinner. And there we found this place. By the time we left two hours later, we were all very satisfied and counted ourselves lucky to have chosen it simply by chance. The restaurant was elegantly decorated and peaceful. Tarek, the waiter who attended our table, was droll and helpful. He took great care of our needs and made us feel very welcome. As for the food: for one thing, by fine dining standards, the portions are pleasantly generous. Secondly, the taste was divine. You can tell from the details—for instance, the skin of the chargrilled salmon wasn't just crispy; you could also taste a subtle hint of honey, which added an extra layer of flavour. Another dish that surprised us was the pesto pasta—a fine balance between basil and cheese, not overly oily. The mozzarella in the middle of the pasta, shaped like a round and tender poached egg, was as soft as vanilla ice cream. The appetisers, such as the garlic bread and prawns, were also memorable. The only dish we found a trifle pedestrian (though still delicious) was perhaps the truffle carbonara. But that might have been because our hunger was already satiated. In short, the experience was enjoyable. We'll come back and try some more dishes the next time we're in London.

Every dish was amazing! It’s hard to pick which we loved the most but the truffle carbonara and the grilled prawns are a must. Tarek our waiter was very welcoming and hospitable.

Delicious Harisa Prawn that gives you 6 of em, delicious Penne pomodoro in a solid portion, tasty apple cider that goes down smooth. Tiramisu was absolutely phenomenal, creamy cold powdery, but mixes all excellently. Server was nice. Couldn’t have asked for more. Try this place if you just want a solid restaurant experience at a cheap price

Super happy with our date night here, staff are very nice and friendly and food was super delicious. Highly recommend Tuna Steak, Salmon Tartar (highlight of our dinner), sea bass. The atmosphere is very good as well. We reallyed liked our wine too, impressed! The only food that I did not like was Salted Caramel Creme Brulee which I found it too sweat.

We visited Mielo as a group of 12 for a Christmas gathering and had a good experience overall. The service was attentive, and the staff made sure we were well looked after. I ordered the lamb loin, which was cooked perfectly and paired nicely with the accompanying vegetables and sauce. However, the portion size was smaller than expected, and I had to order an extra side. The garlic mushrooms were tasty but quite expensive at £6 for a small portion. While the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, the pricing felt a bit high for the portion sizes. Still, it’s a good spot for a special occasion, especially if you don’t mind splurging a little. A nice touch was the small box of chocolates we received at the end which added to the festive feel.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at Mielo last night! The food was delicious. In particular the octopus was very tender and all of the meat was high quality. Thank you to Engin and his team, especially the Manager and Jericho for looking after us so well. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere with nice live background music playing. Would highly recommend!

I wouldn't say I was overly impressed, but nevertheless it was good food with good service. I think what spoiled it was how noisy it was, not with people but the live musicians in the corner. Too loud, which meant everyone was talking loudly and we on our table were struggling to enjoy a conversation. Food was good, but not wow. I've had better. Great selection of spirits and wines. A lot of the menu I thought was over priced for what it was. Some was fair. The 15% service charge was a bit much, considering the atmosphere was too busy. Charging £6 for a bottle of water cost £30! So ended up paying over £100 just in service charge and water! That I was not impressed with. I did enjoy the evening and food was good, but unfortunately not worth 5 stars.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in London. The food was exceptional, the starters, mains and desserts were all elite. I found it really difficult to find something to pick at. The seating was gorgeous and importantly in London, spacious. It was a packed and busy evening and with both tables beside us full, I couldn’t have been more comfortable. The staff are incredibly polite and attentive, making sure our glasses were always full and that we had everything we needed at all times. On the way out we were even gifted these little boxes filled with amazing chocolate almonds. Really great experience, highly recommended and I will definitely be revisiting again when in the mood for top tier Mediterranean food.

Can't believe I didn't know about this amazing neighborhood gem before. The food is delicious as is the service and ambience. The prices are reasonable which is a real plus these days! It also enable you to try more dishes. Can't wait to be back!

The food was incredibly tasty and full of flavor. The food was reminiscent of authentic Indian home cooked food. Just the right amount of heat but incredible depth of flavor. Fadil and all the staff were very warm and welcoming. Service was impeccable and on point. This is a cozy restaurant, wonderful decor and style. This is an amazing find within 4 minutes of Paddington station. We will certainly eat here more times on our current visit to London! Bravo!

Great hidden gem in the Paddington area. Excellent food and good service. Kid friendly options like pizza and cheeseburgers, too. A highchair was available for our child. It was so good, we went twice while visiting London!

To start with, the place and environment itself is beautiful, clean, bright and very charming. The staff are lovely, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The waitress asked both of us for allergies or intolerance and when she found out that my friend has allergies, she was extremely attentive and explained everything to us. She kept checking if everything was good. Super friendly. The food was delicious. The drinks too. I totally recommend this branch. Definitely a 5 star! Well done to all.

Stayed at a hotel close to Paddington Station ahead of an early morning flight and wanted dinner in the area. Saw the star rating and was a little skeptical of a 4.9 star rating with over 1,000 reviews. But I can see now that it’s indeed accurate. Every dish was top notch. Beef tacos and fish tacos were top notch for someone accustomed to high quality Mexican food in California and Mexico. Even the hibiscus agua fresca was tasty. Haider was fantastic as a server.

Perfect place to order persian food. Basically, middle eastern genuinely delicious food. The waiter speaks well Persian, Arabic, and English. The food is precisely well cooked. Not greasy or high in fats. Fresh bread was baked right at the moment appetisers were served. They offered us a free tea and sweets after. Highly recommended.

This place was SO good 😭 My family and I love eating Persian food and Tajrish was top notch! I had the Chicken and Lamb Kebab plate with a lentil soup and saffron ice cream for dessert. The kebabs were juicy, the rice was fluffy, and everything was served quickly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious dinner in the Paddington area!

The Iranian meals in Tajrish were very good. But, the Georgian red wine that our waiter has offered was really the star of our meal. If you are staying around, Tajrish would be a different and tasty option.

I stopped by Hayat Cafe for breakfast, I had eggs Benedict with cappuccino and it was a delightful experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the service was impressively quick, and the food was delicious. The cozy ambiance, complete with background music, added to the overall charm. It’s also great to know they serve halal options!

Excellent Mediterranean restaurant with homemade pita bread. Outstanding fresh food. Very inexpensive near Paddington station. The calamari was delicious as well as the lamb shish.

Had an absolutely amazing Sunday afternoon with friends celebrating friendships and achievements. The Doctor was the best waiter ever ! Hospitable and helpful with food recommendations ! The atmosphere is great and love the energy of the place. I love my burrata the most. I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting a great Italian restaurant in the London area !

Food was nice but lacking in a bit of substance. There were two prawns in a £36 bowl of pasta and two meatballs in my partners pasta. Service was virtually non-existent and we had to flag our waiter for drinks and they remove the drinks menu each time. They tried to remove my starter which was not finished when they brought our mains and one of the dishes was chipped. Atmosphere is lovely but I wouldn’t return and don’t rate the value for money aspect.

Thank you to everyone at this wonderful restaurant we have wanted to come here since it opened. The food was delicious , came promptly and was presented beautifully , some notable mentions from the amazingly friendly staff , Augustino and Ivan were perfect hosts also the gentleman with the glorious hair I didn’t get his name. The bathrooms here certainly have the wow factor I thought I was in a nightclub 😂🕺🏻 Anyway lovely afternoon lovely location lovely everything can’t wait to come back

*I highly recommend you book, its unlikely you will get a walk-in table for dinner and I watched many people try and fail whilst waiting for my table. Also, you aren't guaranteed a space upstairs, it's wherever you're seated on the system so just keep that in mind if you're main motivation is the aesthetics. A nice edition to the Big Mama chain on restaurants . The restaurant is very showy and extravagant to sit in, with a slightly more muted downstairs area which I was seated in. I preferred this as the tables were less squeezed together and it felt more calm with less people in the way trying to get the best pictures. All the staff were kind and helpful and I found the service to be very good, though a slower than I expected, seeing as you have a time limit for your table (we stayed around 30mins longer than the amount we were meant to have). That being said, we still had a 3 course meal and didn't feel rushed at all which was excellent. The food was very good (definitely preferred over Ave Mario where I found the food salty and not well seasoned) though I personally wish there was less items on the menu that were so heavily cheese centred. I had the seafood pasta and the amount of seafood included was decent but not overly generous. Portions in my opinion are good, after finishing my food I was certainly full up. The drinks were good and the seats comfortable. Our bill was around £220 plus service charge for 2 people and we had antipasti to share, a primi (pasta) and a dessert each and 3 alcoholic drinks, mainly being cocktails. Not the cheapest of places but I would recommend for an occasion or a nice treat.

Bizzaro: A Taste of Italy in London ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From the moment I called ahead to reserve a table, Bizzaro impressed me with their attentive service. The manager recognized my voice when I arrived and had my table ready, which was a lovely touch. My waiter was fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations. The food was delicious! Authentic Italian dishes with fresh ingredients and wonderful flavors. I especially enjoyed the lamb chops (though a touch more seasoning would have been perfect!). It's clear they take pride in their cuisine. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting. Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Authentic Italian food. Well presented and delicious. Ate there twice during our 6 day stay in London. Loved it the first time and just had to return. A very busy restaurant and can be noisy so if you want an intimate meal, this isn’t the place. If you want a great authentic Italian meal, reasonably priced for London, this is definitely the place. It won’t disappoint. All the food served was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Service is good and the servers work very hard. They are friendly and efficient. We felt like we were back in Italy again (we haven’t found food this good outside of Italy). Highly recommend.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in London. Usually ordered seafood risotto and spaghetti or pasta in tomato sauce. Service is good just they're busy sometimes need to wait for some time to order food. But overall I still like this restaurant. Full of memories.

Wow, what a fantastic find in Paddington! I recently popped into "It's All Greek to Me" and ordered their Greek Chicken Gyro Skepasti - it was absolutely unbelievable! The food was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavour. I was blown away by the amazing service too; the staff were so friendly and attentive. As if the main course wasn't enough to make my day, they surprised me with a free dessert at the end! Talk about going above and beyond. If you're in the Paddington area and craving some top-notch Greek food, I can't recommend this place enough. It's a solid 5 stars from me. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!

The food was beyond good. We shared a chicken platter. We got chips, grilled chicken skewers, salad and tzatziki. It cost £16 and was enough easily for two. We also got free doughnuts with Nutella. Sophia was an amazing server. Can’t wait to come back.

We were today here and it was great! The food was delicious, the Olive Oil and Olives were perfect flavour. Very cozy but unfortunately very small to fit some bigger group of people. The young Lady was very nice and friendly . Thank you !

Simply amazing! It's my first time in London and in UK and I decided to go to eat something with my mom for dinner after a long day and we really appreciate it, also because Sofia was really kind and nice. I'll definitely come back next time.

Delicious wrap and fries as part of their lunch time menu. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. Would try something more adventurous next time. The dip for the fries was especially nice!

Food was soo good! I loved everything from sauces to the rice and the meat was tender. The first waiter was informative and then the waitress who took over, Wega, was really kind and she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

Popped in for lunch and was warmly greeted by the staff. Ordered a mixed wrap as a set meal deal. The wrap was one of the nicest I've had. A complimentary piece of baklava with the bill. Will definitely be back!

Food is super amazing and portion is rly big and it’s very good price!!!!! Seasoning is super good! All the waitresses are very nice and one of them even gave us extra dessert for free for me and my friend!!! And it’s super delicious!!!!!
