“Newly-opened upmarket cafe/coffee shop in Wanstead. Decor is very nice and bright with comfy seats, ideal for brunch/lunch. Staff were exceptionally friendly. We enjoyed the designer all-day breakfast with a glass of delicious freshly-squeezed orange juice. Expensive but worth it. Toilets available. No parking. Recommended as a solid addition to the Wanstead luncheon portfolio. Prefer to Bare Brew.”

“This is a great place. We went on a friday evening and the restaurant was empty ( very surprising). The place and furniture was also cosy and comfortable. It was also warm inside( we went on a winter night) . The service was great and the waiter paid attention to requests, clarifying any hiccups. She also updated us on progress of our food. The food itself was good. I got the ribs with coleslaw and topped with some fries. Very delicious. I also had a steak salad. Steak was too good but greens were a bit dry. I had a safe sex mocktail which tasted amazingggg. It was made from fresh fruits as I could taste the richness in the orange flavour. Very lovely place and affordable too. Would recommend to visit if in Leyton area”

“Typical French “Brasserie” decor. Clean and welcoming. The menu has a good selection of all their food and is unfussy, easy to read. Staff are all pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. We had “our” table which was always free when we visited. Funny that!”

“Liiiisssssten, this cafe right here is a must try. If you are OK with nuts, go for the pistachio latte. I had it with oat milk 😋. We ordered the bacon and egg with mushroom wrap...absolutely succulent. The sausages are tasty too. They also do vegan breakfast.”

“Great visit to City Place on Friday night. Excellent and very attentive service (really helpful bearded ginger guy, didn’t catch his name) which really made the experience! Food was delicious and such good value - only £29.95 for three courses with a generous sized fillet steak as a main (cooked to perfection). Will definitely return. Nice to see a local business offering something different.”

Dama de Elche
7 Cambridge Park, London E11 2PU, UK
Phone: 020 8518 8111
“Dama de Elche is a fantastic neighborhood gem. It's not on the high road, which means that most people (even locals) don't know about it. We really love this tapas restaurant and have been coming here for some time. It's a family run business, the atmosphere and the welcome you get makes you feel like you're in Spain. We always get the chicken livers and octopus, they are both must have dishes when we're here. Our 3 year old loves the Spanish omelette, he finished it all by himself today and declared it 'yummy' with every bite. The price is very reasonable for tapas in London. We had 6 dishes, bread, olives, two glasses of Rioja and an OJ for a reasonably priced £70 (including service). If you are planning to come here on a Friday or Saturday evening, then best to book ahead as they're usually fully booked and you'll be disappointed if you tried to just turn up. If you're in the mood for some authentic tapas if you're living in the area or just visiting, then drop by and treat yourself to some fantastic home cooked tapas in a wonderful atmosphere.”
