Da Terra Restaurant

Rating: 4.8 (361) Price Level:
We had the 8 course tasting menu. Amazing food! Great service! I didn't find the dessert dishes impressive but my husband enjoyed them. Loved the surprise birthday cake - it's really nice. It tasted better than the desserts on the menu.

Da Terra A New Bar , a New Kitchen and New dishes on the menu all made for another amazing dining experience at Da Terra. We were given a warm welcome on arrival before being escorted into to the bar which is now where your lunch / dinner will begin. Here you can relax with a cocktail or glass of champagne while you enjoy some delicious Snacks and a chat with the team. Then you’ll be taken across into the refurbished dining room and see the new kitchen. We took our seats at our customary Table 10 and waited for the festivities to begin. First it was a chat with top sommelier Maria to discuss our wine preference. Now it was time for the New first course and stunning it was to. The Hamachi Pumpkin / Jackfruit/ Tucupi was absolutely delicious. This was followed by the The Quail , Tortellini in Brodo / Black Truffle , Sourdough , The Moqueca before the arrival of the amazing New main course. The British Wagyu Beef , Cep / Cavolo Nero / Lobster Rice personally I thought it was the stand out dish of the day. Next to come was the Romeo and Juliette (cheese course) , the Baba before finishing with the New dessert of Fig , Sheep Yogurt / Sagu / Oxalis. We finished with coffee and petit fours to bring to and end a fabulous afternoon. The food was stunning , the wine pairings were amazing and the service was first class. The New Bar is a great addition and a wonderful place to enjoy an aperitif or digestive. The New kitchen looks fabulous and you now get an excellent view of the whole team at work. Rafael , Charlie and the team have continually been pushing forward every year in the pursuit of absolute perfection and personally something which I think is not far away. Many Thanks to the whole team for an incredible dining experience and look forward to seeing you all again soon.

This restaurant deserves a Michelin 2-star rating. Every course was presented delicately. The flavors were deep and harmonized well, with a thoughtful use of diverse ingredients that complemented each other perfectly. However, one downside is its location, which is far from central London, and public transportation is not nearby. Despite this, I highly recommend the restaurant to people from all over the world and look forward to returning.

Had an amazing dinner with work colleagues while on a business trip. The tasting menu was had by all and the group had a mix of normal wine pairings, the premium wine pairings and the mixed alcoholic and non-alcoholic pairings. Service was impeccable as was the food. The evening was a journey into the heart and mind of Chef Cagali! Each course had a story to go with it that added to the experience. The group enjoyed the dinner so much that one of us came back during their honeymoon trip. I will look for reservations when business brings me back to London for sure. Thank you to the Chef and staff for an unforgettable evening

Smoke End Steakhouse
371 Mile End Rd, Bow, London E3 4QS, UK | Restaurant P: 07939 021201
Rating: 4.8 (943) Price Level:
Yesterday, we attended a group of 15 sisters from the Shade Centre. The food was astounding, the service was excellent and the brothers went out of their way to cater for our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the smoke and platter and the prawns were very delicious and the flavours were on point They also provided a prayer space so it is inclusive. Definitely worth a visit and will be visiting again.

Food tasted amazing! First time going there and would definitely go again. Service was a 10/10, clean atmosphere and food is made fresh. Desserts were always tasty, would recommend the tiramisu and chocolate fondant!
Rating: 5 / 5
Fair pricing for the food, which was great quality, cooked to perfection. Service was pretty good, approx 15/20 mins wait. They didn't provide tap water, although they provided one bottle of water free of charge. All in all, it was a worthwhile impromptu visit. Spent a total of £75 for 2 people (T-bone steak & Salmon with extras as pictured).

I recently visited Smoke End for an evening dinner with friends after hearing several recommendations, and it did not disappoint. The aesthetics of the restaurant were impressive, creating a high-class atmosphere with beautiful, stylish furniture. The ambiance definitely added to the experience. Service was excellent—the owner frequently checked in to ensure we were satisfied, and the staff was attentive and efficient. Our food arrived promptly, with a level of service that reminded me of upscale city dining. I ordered the steak, cooked precisely to my liking, paired with a perfectly seasoned mushroom sauce. We also shared the loaded fries, which were presented elegantly. The fries had a delightful contrast: a crisp crust on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of chili flavor. I would highly recommend Smoke End and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Meat Up
Bow Business Centre, 21 Bow Triangle, Eleanor St, Bow, London E3 4UR, UK | Takeout Restaurant P: 020 8980 0822
Rating: 4.8 (1164) Price Level:
I’ve been ordering from Meat Up since the day they opened, and let me tell you this place is nothing short of amazing. From day one, they’ve been consistently delivering some of the best burgers I’ve ever had, if not the best. I can’t recommend the Buttermilk Chicken Burger enough it’s perfect. But if you’re craving something more meaty, the Truffle Double is an absolute must-try. It’s juicy, rich, with flavour in every bite. Oh and don’t get to down it all with the lovely daiquiri. One last thing people don’t mention enough is the sauces. They compliment the burgers and chips so well. Highly recommend this place to everyone!
Rating: 5 / 5
I only review spots that are worthy, if there was more stars I'd give it. 3x I've ordered from here and 3 times I'm just amazed. By far the best burger I've had and I've reviewed some that I've said is, but this is the REAL DEAL. I ordered the Pittsburgh, juicy, meaty burger with cheese has a little sweet taste in it, very nice flavour. Thank you guys for being my go to burger spot. The chicken burger is elite also!!!
Rating: 5 / 5
Highly recommend. Hospitality was great, nice waiting area, and the food really stood out. I got the Steak burger with fries, and it was delicious. I think the steak on its own could do with a tiny bit more seasoning, but everything else made up for it anyway, and it's a personal preference for slightly more seasoning. I also got a chicken burger, and I can't lie, I am having trouble deciding which burger was better. I've had many chicken burgers, but there was something different and more satisfying about theirs. The fillets, the pickles, the sauce, everything just worked so well together and was so happy with the entire meal. Will be going back to try out other items on their menu!
Rating: 5 / 5
Ordered the original burger with chips. Chicken strips and steak on chips. Excellent packaging. Great service. Great sauces. Very tasty chips not the usual you get from jjs. Burger was juicy and delicious. Bun is excellent and held up well. Strips were tasty albeit not as crunchy as I would have hoped for. Steak on chips was good value for money.
Rating: 5 / 5
This place is incredible all the food is very high quality I love all of it (except for the all non traditional burgers 🤦🏽♂️) The ribeye is always cooked to perfection and so incredibly juicy. The chips are also perfect and soft on the inside best chips in all of London The burger is incredible but still up for debate, definitely in my top 3 for best burger spots of all time. Well done boys. Consistency and quality every time Heads up Only takeaway is available.

Dishoom Shoreditch
7 Boundary St, London E2 7JE, UK | Indian Restaurant P: 020 7420 9324
Rating: 4.8 (32089) Price Level:
Fantastic experience. Came here for my other halves birthday, the food and staff could not be any better. I would highly recommend coming wherever you're in the area. A must visit!
Rating: 5 / 5
I visited Dishoom with friends for a brunch for a friend's birthday. The food and service was excellent. All the staff were friendly, wished my friend Happy Birthday throughout our stay, and were extremely courteous. We all enjoyed the meal and the birthday treat we shared on Dishoom. Half eaten before, we even recommended taking a photo. 😋 I would highly recommend Dishoom Shoreditch to others. Thank you!!
Rating: 5 / 5
I felt so special here! Came for dinner and breakfast and I had an amazing time each visit. The staff is insanely personable & they’re always willing to help you better understand the menu. This place is worth all the hype it gets, I’ll definitely be back the next time I visit the UK.

I have had a problem with Indian food in the recent years. I was missing a reference point, great food wholeheartedly enjoyed. Worth remembering for the future to compare this to other places. Finally I found that place and it was Dishoom Shoreditch. Amazing food, full of flavors and surprises, food where you think that you order too much of and then it turns out that it is so good that you have to finish it no matter what. Be prepared for a long wait for a table, but it is worth doing it. The wait time is sweetened - you wait at a bar serving very good drinks. Once you are seated the food arrives quickly and is amazingly good. So for now I got my reference point for Indian food. Thanks Dashoom.

Mexican Seoul
Bow Wharf, 221 Grove Rd., London E3 5SN, UK | Restaurant P: Not available
Rating: 4.9 (529) Price Level:
Wings are definitely the winners here! We tried the buffalo and gochujang variants. Tacos - less so (beef taco was both dry with the meat and watery with the sauce; pork was fairly unremarkable). Stick to the wings which are crispy on the outside, quite juicy on the inside and sauces are flavourful enough.
Rating: 5 / 5
An absolutely stunning find 😋😍 Down in East London to catch up with my son we stumbled on this place and will 100% be back. The best wings and tacos I’ve ever had (genuinely 🤩) but the icing on the cake was the cocktails which so complemented the food … the Picante (with a twist !) was perfection. Super super friendly service and ambiance too. Chapeau to all involved 🎉

Stunning dinner at Mexican Seoul! We started our meal with delicious classic margaritas, we went on to have the corn ribs (also delicious, the pecorino cheese is really fabulous), then the bulgogi tacos (a combination that works really well!) and finally the soy garlic wings, honestly these wings are to die for, they are crunchy, sweet and salty, and the crunchy skin really resembles pork cracklings! These wings were absolutely our favourite and we are so glad to see them on the regular menu (they used to be on the monthly special a while ago!). We finished our dinner with the peach pie and pomegranate ice cream, also delicious! Lastly the staff are super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon!

Fantastic in every way. Patrick and his team will look after you with attentive service with a smile, nothing too much trouble. The food is so tasty and can't fault it. The wings are a winner for me, and I don't think you will find better. Try the Honey Buffanero or the Gochij-Gang, meat so tasty and succulent and coating with a crunch. I had the special today the fish taco and was light tasty and spot on. I've been here many times now before writing this review, and it's always consistent. Book a table it gets very busy.

Loooveeedddd it!!! I finally made it! We live in North London and kept thinking that we needed to try this award winning wings. So today was the day! We sat in the outside area with my kids and my friend, we ordered the corn, the two award winning wings the spicy pork and the beef tacos All the food was amazing! I cannot even tell you how happy I am for being able to go there! To see this business thrive! The whole place is beautiful and the servers were very kind and helpful with us! Loved it!

Alanya turkish with fusion
510A Roman Rd, Bow, London E3 5ES, UK | Turkish Restaurant P: 020 8980 6060
Rating: 4.9 (282) Price Level:
We had our Nikah 💍 at Alanya, it was really amazing😊. The environment was really good and awesome. Staff were so good and very welcoming. They usually opens at 4 but for our Nikah they opened at 2:30 pm. We had their chef's special platter which was really delicious and the portion omg it was really huge, We also tried their mojito 🍹 10/10. They gave us a caramel cheesecake from the house 😁 it was banging I would recommend everyone to try that.
Rating: 5 / 5
Absolutely amazing authentic Turkish food, everything was delicious especially the Adana and chicken wings. Portion sizes are huge and easily feeds many. Highly recommend you try this place out. Customer service is superb, very attentive and respectful. We thoroughly enjoyed our food!
Rating: 5 / 5
I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food here. True to its fusion claims, the kebabs, wings, ribs and koftes were beyond delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection, the lamb chops were soft and juicy without being over done. The lamb kofte was full of flavour and soft. These guys have gotten the process of roasting meat down to an art. I cannot recommend enough.

I’ve been meaning to try Alanya for a while, and I finally found the time to visit for lunch on a Friday after Jummah. First Impressions: The décor was fresh and modern, but the restaurant felt smaller than I had expected. It was very quiet during lunch, which made me wonder about the quality since there weren’t many customers. The Food: I ordered the small platter, and it was absolutely amazing: • Chops: Juicy and bursting with flavor. • Ribs: Tender, juicy, and perfectly fatty. • Kofta: A delightful twist on the traditional flavor, making it stand out. • Rice: Cooked to perfection, with flakes that added a great touch. • Salad: Surprisingly fresh and enjoyable. The Highlight: The star of the meal was their unique bread, paired with their house chili sauce. It was unforgettable and added an extra layer of flavor to the experience. Final Thoughts: I’ll definitely be returning with my family to try more dishes. Alanya lived up to my expectations, and I’m excited for my next visit.

Really impressive burgers! Great, unique place, lovely staff and a little live music to boot! If you live in the area, pop down for an unexpectedly lovely night out without having to go more central!
Rating: 5 / 5
Little diamond of a place. Wicked drinks and propper american style dishes. Never change please. Ask for the pickleback shots if you feel brave.
Rating: 5 / 5
I totally underestimated this place! I thought it was just another burger joint. How wrong I was!!! Stepping in it felt like I had travelled time and space and found myself somewhere in middle America. The food is great, the burgers are amazing (they go from a minimum of two patties to a maximum of six! So good!). The bourbon wings are addictive. The selection of Bourbon is mind blowing. Here I had the best Old Fashioned I ever had in London. The music was amazing, incredible!!! What a hidden gem.
Rating: 5 / 5
This is a great place to enjoy good whiskeys and bourbons and also they are serving one of the most beautiful burgers in town. Ample selection of whiskeys and bourbons. Every time I visit they extend their drinks menu. So if you like to taste new brands this is you go to place. Just go to bar for a drink you can learn all about whiskeys and bourbons from the owner. On top of that there is a live music some evenings. Amazing place.

Alexandra was fantastic! She was quick, responsive, attentive and recommended great choices! We absolutely had a lovely time and would certainly come back. My favourite was the aubergine starter and the classic Carbonara. The food came in piping hot 🔥 which was excellent. Some restaurants serve the food cold as theh were on the counter too long before being served. So well done! Thanks

Holy Smokes BBQ London
Holy Smokes BBQ, Unit 26, Bow Triangle Business Centre, 26 Eleanor St, London E3 4UR, UK | Barbecue Restaurant P: 07587 119407
Rating: 4.6 (961) Price Level:
I’ve been coming here ever since I’ve know them when they were at Hackney Wick. The quality has always stayed the same. The best of everything, Smash Burger, Loaded Brisket Fries, Brisket Burger, Short Ribs, Skin on Fries and ofcourse the items they regularly alternate bringing something new every so often. You will not be disappointed with the food. There are some seats outside, not ideal in my opinion. Really wish they could have a place where a dine in experience would be possible. Although, the seating matches the smokehouse food style. Just not for a wet and cold London take out. Staff are always friendly and cater for the needs. Over the years, it has gone up in price and does hurt the wallet a fair bit now. But worth it once in a while.
Rating: 4 / 5
We drove quite a long way to try this food, and when we arrived, we were shocked by the location. We didn’t expect to find any food shops in this area, as it looks like an industrial zone. However, I have to say the food was amazing, and we really enjoyed it. They were even open on Christmas Day, and we went back a second time to buy food for our Christmas meal at home, which we also thoroughly enjoyed. It’s definitely worth trying!
Rating: 5 / 5
A spot we’ve been coming to a for a while and it does not disappoint. They’re known for doing amazing brisket. For me, the coffee barbecue sauce really this place up another level because the mid rib sandwiches was amazing. The ribs with the pickle always hits the spot and it’s perfect for someone who loves Smokey meats. The brisket loaded fries is some of the best loaded fries I’ve had creating the perfect experience.
Rating: 5 / 5
I have tried smoked meat in many countries especially Canada but nothing compares to the smoked Ribs and Brisket from Holy Smokes BBQ. This spot is a lowkey hidden gem in East London and for the huge portions they give, it’s worth the price. The owner is also extremely hospitable and is there to make sure you have an amazing experience. If you live in London or you are visiting, I would highly recommend checking them out🙌
Rating: 5 / 5
I think I found the best Halal BBQ place in London. I tried their 7 or 12-hour smoked rib, and it was amazing. The pickles were sweet, and juicy, and complemented the meat perfectly. The portion size was good, but halfway through eating, I only tasted the meat without any flavourings. I would still recommend trying out this place, although I don't think the prices are justified given the location and service. A single portion cost £24, and there was no seating available to enjoy your meal, which was the only downside.

Hawksmoor Wood Wharf
1 Water St, London E14 5GX, UK | Steak House P: 020 3988 0510
Rating: 4.5 (1349) Price Level:
Visited Hawksmoor after much anticipation and my word it did not disappoint. Sara, our server, was fantastic and kept our waters topped up. The vibes were exactly what we were after. Had a table of two and really enjoyed sitting diagonally next to each other rather than directly facing each other. The food was insane. We got the oysters and bone marrow with onions to start, followed by a porterhouse and an array of sides. We struggled to finish all the food but is was incredible. Still had room for sticky toffee pudding. Cannot wait to come back!

A Cut Above The Rest at Hawksmoor Just a quick dash from The Cube, a mere 30 seconds on foot, and you find yourself at Hawksmoor Canary Wharf—where we held our team's Christmas celebration. Opting for the private dinner experience, we were in for a treat! 🥩🎄 From the outset, the ambiance set the stage for a standout evening. Our waiter, a true professional with a knack for detail, seamlessly catered to our eclectic mix of drink requests with finesse. 🍹 The steak? Sublime. The sides? Each a masterpiece. As the night unfolded, every course surpassed the last, leaving us not just satisfied, but thoroughly impressed. If you're on the hunt for a place that promises more than just a meal but a memorable gastronomic adventure, make your way to Hawksmoor. Exceptional food, impeccable service, and an experience that leaves you planning your next visit before the first has even concluded. Can't recommend it enough! 🌟

We had a lovely lunch celebration meal here. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and our overall experience was wonderful. The restaurant is very modern, well spaced, and stylish. We will definitely be back.

Was recommended and wow did it live up to its. Sunday dinner yesterday was amazing. We’ve never had beef before that literally melted in our mouths- both the pink and well done meats were amazing, and who knew cabbage/greens could taste so fantastic. The stuffing is a must - and those yorkies - fantastic. Great staff who really look after you, the young lady from Hartlepool was lovely. Stylish premises - yes expensive but worth treating ourselves - we’ll be back.

I was looking forward to the meal and evening at Hawksmoor. I ordered lobster, steak fillet with few sides and apple pie. Presentation was average. I thought that food was coming out quickly but the waitress kept forgetting bits for our table which after third time started to be annoying (then she was rewarded with 12.5% service charge🤨). Food tasted good and meat was cooked as I ordered but I have to admit that when I saw the prices on the menu I was expecting to be swept off my feet. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I think that £130 (food only) per person is quite a lot. I’ve been in places in the past where overall experience was much better and I spend that amount for two people. Thankfully I was with great group of people and I had very good evening. But I think I’ll won’t be going back to Hawksmoor anytime soon.
