Great place to eat, chai is very good and staff friendly. The garden is beautiful and there is an awesome live music spot downstairs.

I ordered 1 x Empanada but I had to order 3 more!! The Chimi churri is incredible and the service was great! One of the few places I would actually give 5 stars for and recommend to friends and family. We had the Humita, Feijoada and the Shrooms & Greens dishes. 100% recommend each you won't be disappointed!

Underrated brunch spot! Lovely conservatory and garden at the back. And unique concept of Venzualen/Argentinan food (sorry I can’t quite remember as it was a long time ago I went there). Staff really friendly. Food could be a bit spicier though!

I tried the Mate Latte but was served quite cold and paid £4... It was the coldest day of the year but barista should know to reheat the mugs before. I tried the vegan Danish pastry and it was good. The room was very very cold so it wasn't a cosy experience. I'll will come back in summer.

Best word to describe the experience at Canto73 - sensational. Every course is a surprise and delight, as the chef explains the ingredients and where they’ve come from (some of it foraged, some from small producers) - things I’ve never heard of - pineapple weed, stressed tomatoes (!) Definitely felt worth more than the price we paid, and without the pressure of most fine dining establishments. Can’t wait for the autumn menu!

Great personal service and atmosphere. Affordable wine pairing which went well with the food. Generous portion sizes and the technique / delivery of food is excellent. The flavour for a couple of the dishes didn’t work for us (didnt pair well within the dishes) but showed creativity. Will try when menus change again!

Absolutely amazing experience! Food was phenomenal, the experience itself was amazing with great information and stories per course and the vibe and feel of the restaurant was stunning. 10/10 couldn’t recommend more! Also fab at catering for gluten free

Extraordinary supper club in contemporary unfussy surroundings all curated by a Chef João. We learned afterwards that he had worked in some of the highest Michelin rated restaurants across Europe and with Cordon Bleu training which explains the incredible dishes. 7 courses for £50 plus service with £22 wine pairing (generous pours on our neighbours tables!) We had the lovely homemade elderflower cordial tonic. My personal favourite was tomatoes all the way followed closely by the smoked haddock. The experience includes the Chef explaining where all of the ingredients came from (some very difficult/expensive to source) and a lovely intro before each dish. Currently running Fridays and Saturdays at 730pm in Fantail. They can accommodate dietary restrictions but need at least 48 hours notice as they source the ingredients. Really wonderful experience, takes about 2-2.5 hours with some surprise features. Great for groups, date nights and catch ups as very relaxed atmosphere.

In every cuisine you will find something that is coated and fried like battered fish in fish and chips, chicken nuggets, Japanese tempura/cutlet, Korean Corndogs, Russian Kievs to the Austrian Schnitzel. Enter Schnitzel Forever which specializes in Schnitzel located in Stoke Newington right next to Hollywood Candy. They started their amazing Schnitzel during the pandemic and now they have a successful restaurant with many diners. I was lucky to get a table as I was early as they were fully booked on a Wednesday night. As a Schnitzel specialist, they definitely got it right from daily oil changes, good quality to to meat quality. Simple as that! For starters, the original Schnitzel is a good one to start on and for me Chicken was pure foodgasm. Each bite was delicious, the chicken breast was battered extremely thin but remained moist from frying and the Japanese coating was light and crispy and did not retain the oil or have a funny taste. It was a good balance because the coating was not too thick or over powering in taste that it didn't really need any sauces but fresh lemon took it to another lemon. The fresh dill and parsley garnishing complemented it nicely and there was also dill butter which are all up my alley. On the menu, you will find some fancy Schnitzel with sauces and toppings and I like the way they even have Saganaki which is three different types of cheese coated in breadcrumbs as well as the fried burrata. Overall, I definitely recommend this and even Jay Rayner approves! The owner is really really nice.

Loved it! We got 3 amazing starters to share between us, followed by two huge chicken schnitzels - one of which was gluten-free! Would recommend.

Best schnitzel I had in London hands down!! Had the chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes. The seasoning was perfect, didn’t even need sauce. The herby butter on the schnitzel was excellent. The dish size is massive and very filling. Schnitzel light and not oily. Excellent mashed potatoes as well. The design of the place is really nice and the service is excellent.

An absolute win, discovering this little gem, so close to home. The staff were so lovely, engaging, and helpful with the menu. The food, out quick, and super delicious, also cheep! The atmosphere is dusty (in a good way) it reminded me of cafe’s I visited in Istanbul. The books along the wall are a great additive. The facilities were clean, everything was presented with class. I'll definitely be back!

Omg! Beautiful brunch here! I got the Morning Palestine dish and it was sensational! The muhammra was so tasty, so was the sesame bread and everything else! The highlight was definitely the baklava french toast! 100% recommend! Amazing pistachio flavor and crunch! Would so recommend! Prices are on the higher price, the vibe inside in nice, our waiter was lovely, one of the waitress looked like she didn’t want to be there but overall we had a great brunch!

Highly recommend the Tahini latte ☕️!! It has a thicker texture than regular latte but soooooo yum, you can smell and taste the tahini in it, blended in in a warm, soulful way☀️ I had a Damascus and my friend ordered the Harkney Feast. The babaganoush & hummus in the Damascus goes really well with the pita so I dived right in and didn’t worry about making my hands messy, haha! Everything’s made in the house, including tomato baked beans in the Hackney Feast🍅 it doesn’t have the fake sweetness of all canned beans and the sausage is tender & soft~ They also have no-added-sugar smoothies 🍓 which is perfect for warm weathers.

I saw this restaurant on an influencer page and wanted to try it for so long! I saw a video of them making the Syrian lamb dish with sour cherries. It was honestly so so good! The prices reflect the high service and standards for food. We also tried the chicken yogurt dish and it was also really nice. I would definitely come back again for the same dishes. I highly recommend!

Chicken & Yoghurt is an absolute must. I also had some delicious semolina cake with a fresh mint tea. The staff are so wonderful and the music they play is great too. Happy to return!

Had a Turkish house red and a falafel wrap with humous and sald and it came to under £18. Service was super-efficient and friendly. Sadly I had a gig next door so it was only going to be a quick stop. I was taken care of as their was a prior reservation but I assured I would be quick and I left before the reseervation time was due. I really appreciate the efficient service and extremely tasty food. I was almost back in the Middle East again!

🚇 Stoke Newington 🍺 £6.00 Guinness The Auld Shillelagh is located on Church Street in Stoke Newington close to Abney Park Cemetery. The nearest station is Stoke Newington overground. This pub used to be a dairyman's shop before it became The Horse & Groom, licensed 1871. The Auld Shillelagh came to be in 1991, opening as a home from home Irish pub. This is a long and narrow pub that has been extended three times over the years. The decor here is traditional with beautiful wood panelling, fireplaces and mixed traditional furniture. The servery is located at the front right and is lined with red leather bar stools. Just to the right of the servery is a prime location where you can sit by an open window and watch the world go by. Throughout the pub is a plethora of Irish memorabilia, Hurley sticks, rugby balls and as it is customary, the flag of the pub’s owners county in Ireland, in this case Roscommon. At the rear of the pub is a decent sized beer garden with a retractable roof. The beer selection is a diverse mix of mainstream, London and Irish brews, good to see @sullivansbrewco_ on the taps. One of the litmus tests of any Irish pub is how good the stout is. I decided on a Guinness, my pint was superb, price point was respectable. There is no food served here, but there are plenty of bags of Tayto’s to feast on if you’re peckish. I arrived around 1pm on a pleasant Saturday lunchtime in June. The pub was starting to fill up with a good mix of punters of all ages. The atmosphere was upbeat with a nice buzz about the pub. The service was exceptional, the team member who served me was pulling pints, changing barrels and engaging with locals at the bar and took it all in her stride. The pub shows GAA, horse racing, rugby and the footy. There is also live Irish Trad Music at the weekends. On leaving the @auldshillelagh , I had a big smile on my face and thought to myself “I need to visit this pub more often”. Stumbled across this pub on a recent trip to London . Amazing atmosphere, exceptional service and staff so friendly , taking time to recommend eateries in the area . Not a big fan of Guinness myself but my husband said the pints were ‘Unreal’ .

Really great Irish bar, Guinness is good and flows well, Very busy on Saturday afternoon with good atmosphere but I imagine could be just as great on a quiet weekday afternoon

My buddy, a local Londoner brought me here and I’m glad he did. They only had Guinness and Peroni on the taps that night, but the bartender who broke that news to me was such a stunning Irish beauty that I literally forgot to be disappointed. Long, narrow bar, clean restrooms, amazing back patio area to hang out. Rustic and authentic, would definitely enjoy a pint here in the future.

Very very delicious and clean. No grease on the tacos. Beautiful flavours. Donuts delicious. The chicken taco was 👌👌 Tacos are well priced but the starters / desserts bit on the pricier side at around £8. Got the rice with shitake mushroom starter which was very very nice. Also ask for their lemonade, was perfect. Service good and waiters very friendly.

Small and delicious. This unpretentious restaurant serves delicate and tasty dishes. The toasted barley tea was a surprise, the tempura was light and savory, and the basque cheese cake was amazing. The atmosphere is cozy , the staff very friendly and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable for London. The location is great to enjoy the Newington high street . A very enjoyable experience. We opted for the four-course set lunch menu, including the Salmon Lover’s and Tuna Lover’s dishes, and for desert the Basque cheesecake with dark chocolate and yuzu. Everything was absolutely sublime. The presentation, quality, and overall experience were impeccable. I’d love to return and explore the dinner menu next time.

Fabulous tasting menu. Balsamic teriyaki redfish was a highlight, alongside soft shell crab sushi. Amazing sake selection on the side. Highly recommend.

An in demand eatery, there was a significant queue lining up to get into Esters. The wait at midday was about 30 minutes, but we were accommodated promptly. The menu isn’t extensive but has several dishes that were competing to be eaten. We went with breakfast sandwiches as they were the most cost efficient and delicious sounding. They were as expected - delightfully tasty. We finished off with the bread and butter option which looked like a croissant in loaf form. Best thing we ordered. The brownie was nice enough but not noteworthy. Quite pricey but of course it is given the clientele.

I've discovered this super cute cafe that serves up healthy breakfast options and delicious bakery treats. I recently tried their eggs and toast, which was delicious, but the real star of the show was their mouth-watering thaini cake. And don't even get me started on their coffee - it was good! If you're looking for a cool spot with a variety of breakfast options, you've got to give this place a try. Trust me, it's worth it!

Small local “lite-bite” pit-stop that goes large on the minimalism.. and then some. A backyard seating area hardly adds sparkle to the lustre here. Selection limited but the quality and flavour effortlessly dismisses any apprehensions. Service here pleasant and efficient. The port of call in this neighbourhood despite the space constraints.

Doña just opened a restaurant above the bar and OH MY LORD it’s tasty. Best empanadas, tamales and flan in London! Also, as someone who’s travelled a lot through Mexico and Central America, I’ve really missed a good bean dish. None of the Mexican/ Central American restaurants here seem to get it until now!! Doña has the most authentic and delicious beans!! The totopos and bean dip was like being back in Oaxaca. Also the margaritas were fabulous as always. I’m so happy my favourite bar now has a restaurant that’s just as delightful!!! I’ll be going back all the time now. Also they’re dog friendly for well-behaved dogs!

Fantastic Latin American restaurant with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere and most importantly the best Latin food I have tasted in London. Very authentic, and so many delicious dishes to choose from. My personal favourite was the plantain crisps with spicy mango salad, but honestly I was glad I went with a few friends so we could order every dish and try them all - I would recommend doing the same!

I have been to this place a few times now and I have nothing but amazing things to say about it. The staff are awesome and you can really tell that they are all passionate about this place. The food is delicious and the drinks are to die for (rebecca is a personal fave). They do a bunch of different events and I’ve never been disappointed - the party vibes are ongoing right until the end!!!
