The Best Restaurants in Peckham, Greater London, United Kingdom (2025)

One of my favourite spots in London. I've been a few times and it never fails to impress. Most people have raved about their other dishes so I'll just tell people not to ignore their sourdough — it's so good!

Pretty good food although quite expensive for small portion sizes. Would be nice if the kitchen was open later than 9pm - booked an 8pm table and was shortly reminded that the kitchen was closing soon. Fortunately the food came quickly so not a problem, but didn’t like needing to rush. Service also could have been a bit better, had to flag staff down who seemed a bit grumpy. Perhaps an off day though, we all have them. Would come again, but would book an earlier table.

Been looking forward to trying this place for a while now. Lived up to expectations would be an understatement. Very friendly and attentive service from Stevie and Tom (I think, sorry I only asked about names after a couple of bottles of wine). Wine was great, food was excellent

Fantastic little wine bar! Me and my partner came down looking to dip a toe into the world of natural and biodynamic wines. The staff here were so welcoming and knowledgable. We tried so many different wines and were even given tasters to see what we liked before we committed to a glass. The accompanying food was also top notch and we had many laughs and an all around great evening. We'll definitely be back again very soon! Thanks to everyone who made our visit so memorable :)

Really incredible experience! The food was delicious, every single thing we got was so tatsy. The oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had. The lamb belly was unreal, one of the best dishes I can remember having. The service was also great, everyone was lovely. The vibe of the resturant are very sexy and cool and we’ll definitely be going back.

Amazing food in a stunning venue all helped along by brilliant staff who are lovely, friendly and chatty. The food really is excellent and the washroom is an unbelievable blast from the past

Really cool spot right next to Peckham rye station. Everything we tried was delicious, but our favourites were the scallop and prawn toast, the crab noodle, and the toasted rice ice cream (which I’ve been thinking about ever since). Wine list and cocktails also excellent, especially the plum and rhubarb sour and the coconut daiquiri (surprisingly sophisticated, and very moreish!) Impeccable service from start to finish, with lovely atmosphere music. Will undoubtedly be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

10/10 THE best restaurant experience. The staff. The vibe. The setting. Each and every dish we ordered was out of this world. Could not recommend more!

Great new place for South Indian food. It is mainly a takeaway but has three tables if you want to eat in (it's noisy but can't beat the crispiness of a dosa straight off the pan). The guys were super friendly, attentive, and really interested in what we thought of the food. We ordered pappadams, onion bhajis, paneer dosa, dal, and pineapple date mix pickle (as well as masala chai, not on the menu, £3.50). Everything was freshly made, vibrant flavours, delicious. There was a steady stream of food delivery couriers while we were there, glad to see they are already getting a lot of business. We will definitely be back.

I had a delivery from Malabar Feast today. Fantastic food. Best in town for South Indian food. Very fresh and quality food. 100% will order again and will recommend to every one.!!!

Tasty food!! Really enjoyed how thoughtfully the vegetables were prepared. The restaurant interior could use some love though (getting rid of the cobwebs for example). The dessert was definitely the low point of the meal (we had the summertime sadness and the name was fitting, definitely skip it). The cauliflower was amazing though and the servers were great. Tasty mocktails as well.

Super cosy atmosphere and delicious food. We loved every plate. Bread pairs so well with everything. Highly recommend to try the lentil pate as a starter!

We are regulars at Naifs! This is one of the best (if not the best) vegan restaurants in London! All vegetables, all beautiful flavours. Everything is served family style with a set menu that changes based on the best ingredients for the season. We particularly love the paper plane cocktail and the chocolate mousse they often have on the menu. The (bottomless) bread is from local Toad bakery. Would recommend to vegans and non vegans - the food is always a celebration of vegetables! Great experience every time.

blown away by the food here! best malaysian i’ve had in london - the food was so authentic but the flavours and the presentation felt unique. the portion sizes were great too! can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu only thing to note was that the space is quite small, bordering on cramped than cosy…hoping they upsize at some point because i’m sure it’d be a success if they did!

I had dinner with my girlfriend here and we really enjoyed it. The service was fast and friendly and the food was very good you could easily tell it was authentic Malaysian food. We particularly enjoyed the chicken and the egg noodles, both very tasty. They also make their own durian ice cream which was super good. If, and only if, you like durian, go for it. We will definitely come back again.

The owner Ady is a lovely person! His food is even better. The food was equally stunning and flavorful. I would recommend trying everything on the menu!

Easily the best Malaysian food that I have eaten in this incredibly cosy restaurant with a real family vibe. The staff were attentive and welcoming and recommended portion sizes. I booked for a Saturday lunch and it was cheap but filling and set me up for the day. The roti banjir was so flavourful and you could see that everyone in the restaurant had them on their tables. The Karipaps were a great little side dish that were once again bursting with flavour that I’d highly suggest.

The very best spot for a brunch and cocktail in the sun! The food is lovely and very generous portions, juicy wings and really nice cassava chips. All cocktails we tried were 10/10 especially the rum punch. The staff were so welcoming and fun. Will be back for sure!!

As most Peckham locals will know, Bellenden Road is renowned for its excellent independent restaurants, offering culinary delights without the need to venture into the chaos of central London. Fika 139 is the latest addition to this fierce lineup, aiming to set itself apart with a distinctive fusion of Caribbean, African, and British cuisine. Thankfully, they have nothing to worry about when it comes to the competition. I had the pleasure of dining here tonight and couldn’t get enough of their succulent, perfectly balanced twist on the classic West African grilled meat, Suya. This place is an absolute must-try—hurry before the word gets out!

Let me tell you! That fact I came across the pond to eat this beautiful food speaks volumes! Plus, the staff to be accommodating for someone to have food allergies & sensitivities made me add them to my starred list. I will be back ready to eat an American portion 😂👏🏾👏🏾🫶🏾. Loyal fan for life!

I am also used to Michelin quality restaurants and thought the food was flawless. The duck was excellent some of the best I’ve had and we really loved the pigs head croquette. The wine list is complex and intricate but intensely rewarding. Would definitely dine here again. 10/10

The food was exceptional! I m used with Michelin restaurants and my partner is a food critical, the taste was just divine. As I am Designer the location is quite strategic in Peckham and the interior design is sober, and cool at the same time. Amazing atmosphere, we will become frequent customers for sure! Amazing price, all meals came decorated you can feel that there is care and love for those prepare. I know it’s quite difficult to book a table but it’s worthy! One of my best experiences in London for sure!

Amazing evening - would 100% recommend! We did the wine pairing and every course was so delicious - the wines complemented each dish perfectly. Aurélien gave us the best service - he was so knowledgeable about the flavour profile of the wines and their histories which really enhanced the overall experience.

Had really high expectations for Levan but it fell a little flat to be honest. We had the taster set menu and then a few additional items like the potatoes. The scallop noodle dish was delicious and I really enjoyed the sourdough bread! But some of the other dishes were a bit odd to be honest - turns out peaches and beans don’t go together! Quite a spenny experience but no regrets overall as it was interesting - glad I tried (probs wouldn’t go again)

Don't know where to begin with this excellent spot. The menu changes every 2 weeks. It's an extremely short menu which I absolutely adore. They have a great menu of really delicious aperitif cocktails & a great wine selection. The icing on the cake was we could get any of the dishes gluten free, including the pasta. Service was great too. Literally 0 complaints, can't wait to go back.

Adding an update to my previous review - the best team, food and atmosphere. Recommend the chef’s table for groups of 8+. I’ve been for lunch and dinner and both are well worth the visit! Great for groups with amazing platters of food. Staff were friendly and good atmosphere.

Firstly, lovely staff who made us feel very welcome. Secondly, £29 for a 3 course in these times is unheard of, incredible value. Thirdly, the food was delicious. Hearty, wholesome and seasoned well.

Every now and then I come across a dish that surprises and truly delights, here it’s the pickled sardine starter. The ragu was also so very good, we noticed the starter size has a different pasta to the main, perhaps they ran out but whatever the case the starter was delicious. The mains were nice too but we thought the starters were more stand out. One thing that could be improved is to serve cocktails in nicer glassware, served in a small water glass filled to the brim is not the same experience. Looking forward to next time.

It was such a great experience! Our group really went our way to dine at Kudu Grill and we were not disappointed. The ingredients used, you know, are fresh thus making the dish (even simple) standout. Service was top notch and they really explain well the dishes. No problems at all in calling them (for water refills etc). Place was small but very cozy. We enjoyed our dinner for sure!

It’s not often I have nothing bad to say about Restaurant, but this is one of them. Fantastic place. Great food and hospitality. Friends have told me about this place, but it definitely lives up to what they’ve said. Go and enjoy.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. We were a table of 4 and tasting each other's dishes. The steak was melt in the mouth and the sauce was so tasty. The poussin had a deep smokey, chared flavour. Every dish was 5 star and I highly recommend.

dropped in a taste of mother earth and was prepared the lunch special mixture golden rice salad touch of jerk plantain...then a complimentary glass of ginger and beetroot mix... love stopping by this place the manager/owner a cool guy.
