Amazing evening - would 100% recommend! We did the wine pairing and every course was so delicious - the wines complemented each dish perfectly. Aurélien gave us the best service - he was so knowledgeable about the flavour profile of the wines and their histories which really enhanced the overall experience.

I am also used to Michelin quality restaurants and thought the food was flawless. The duck was excellent some of the best I’ve had and we really loved the pigs head croquette. The wine list is complex and intricate but intensely rewarding. Would definitely dine here again. 10/10

The food was exceptional! I m used with Michelin restaurants and my partner is a food critical, the taste was just divine. As I am Designer the location is quite strategic in Peckham and the interior design is sober, and cool at the same time. Amazing atmosphere, we will become frequent customers for sure! Amazing price, all meals came decorated you can feel that there is care and love for those prepare. I know it’s quite difficult to book a table but it’s worthy! One of my best experiences in London for sure!

Came here for the tasting menu, with the wine pairing. Sat at the chefs table and it was just the most delightful and special meal. The chef introduced each course, as well as sharing stories about why the wine was paired. The food was delicious, the wine interesting, and it felt like such an experience, could not recommend enough!

Really delicious food so no wonder it’s always packed!! We were lucky enough to grab the bar table as walk ins but highly recommend to book. Although we only tried a cocktail (which was delicious) the drink options all looked impressive with a wide array of Japanese spirits and sakes. The pancake and cucumber starters were a 10/10 would definitely order again and the bao buns especially the tofu one (with a fluffy texture rather than the usual tofu texture) was one of the best we’d ever had in London. Must try spot if you’re vegan/veggie! Service a little slow so if you come in hungry expect a little wait to order due to how busy it is but very friendly.

First time there and would definitely come back to try more of their dishes. Ordered the shiitake bao and drunken prawn bao and the vegan kimchi pancake & sweet corn salsa, mapo beans & hash browns, smacked cucumber and the sticky BBQ corn ribs. I was disappointed with the prawn bao as there wasn't enough filling inside to balance the prawns, and the prawns were bland. The hashbrown in the mapo beans dish didn't add much to the dish itself and became soggy after a short while. The seasoning in that dish lacked something. The kimchi pancakes were ok but lacked the spiciness and particular flavour of the kimchi. I'd say this was more cabbage pancakes. The shiitake bao was however really tasty and I wish I had ordered two. The smacked cucumber, a very simple dish, was really refreshing and really spot-on in terms of flavour. I also appreciated the corn although perhaps a bit hard to eat if you're feeling lazy. We had a good loose-leaf oolong tea served in this nice tea pot. Service was very good and everyone was friendly. At the time we went, the restaurant wasn't too busy and the atmosphere was on the quieter side which is much appreciated on a Sunday.

Food was very tasty & reasonably priced. The dessert was a let down and not enough drink options.

Adored my lunch at Mr Bao! Good prices, great menu, and lovely to sit outside and watch the girl go by. Special mention goes to the Corn Ribs and the Tofu Bao 🤤 The kimchi and sweetcorn pancake had an amazing flavour but not as crispy as it could have been. Thank you so much! One of the best meals I have had in a long time. We were a table of 4 and tasting each other's dishes. The steak was melt in the mouth and the sauce was so tasty. The poussin had a deep smokey, chared flavour. Every dish was 5 star and I highly recommend.

Loved the food, the wine and the service & ambiance. If I could just say look at the Sirloin cuts - we got a very sinew laden piece on the bone - why not switch to Rib-eye on the bone its got way more flavour and the fat should just melt away :) Otherwise Great job, Well done - Mark Allan

It was such a great experience! Our group really went our way to dine at Kudu Grill and we were not disappointed. The ingredients used, you know, are fresh thus making the dish (even simple) standout. Service was top notch and they really explain well the dishes. No problems at all in calling them (for water refills etc). Place was small but very cozy. We enjoyed our dinner for sure!

-Fantastic service! -Mostly great food, potentially marked down due to personal preference rather than quality of food (see below) -Burratta was a little bland, although some salt and pepper that we asked for elevated it at least 2 points. -Bread with 2 butters was fantastic. -Chicken hearts tasty but a little small. -All dishes could have been seasoned a little more to our taste. Overall a great experience, and looking forward to trying their tapas and grill restaurants.

Absolutely incredible. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in London. Everything tasted exceptional. Don’t miss out on the bread and biltong as that was the perfect way to start our meal. The service was also great. The dining was lovely we sat outside in their garden and it felt like you were abroad. The sea. bass and lamb were insanely good. Absolutely loved it all and will be going back.

Went in for the set menu. Changed my life. Unreal food. Super rich (and a tiny bit too salty) but left feeling very satisfied. Onglet steak was next level, as was the scallop ravioli, the brioche bread for starters I could have eaten four of them, and the dogs to finish were dreamy. Highly highly recommend. Shout out to the very friendly staff too.. 10/10 Ned ;)

Most gorgeous meal I’ve had since living in London. The food is full of flavour. A lovely menu, executed beautifully. Tentative, friendly service too. South Africans know what hospitality is all about!!! I really can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

Amazing food- fun dishes with unique and tasty flavors. Iconic bite - whipped cod Roe tip mixed with pomegranate seeds and shaved fennel saved. So many fresh herbs and great flavors

This place is a real gem - delicious small plates to share. We loved the pork and veal meat balls , the cauliflower steak, dolmades and peppers. They were all delicious and filling. We had a lovely Greek red wine to boot and the service was very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant.

From food, to music, to service, to cocktails, to the atmosphere, it was all incredible! What a place to spend your evening/night. We shared couple of starters and bigger plates, no notes. It was all delicious. The cocktails are incredible. The music is so so good and somehow it's never too loud but blends in perfectly. But over-all it's the incredible service, that makes you feel so relaxed, and welcomed. You step inside and you instantly have a good time. Can't wait to be back.

An acquaintance brought me here I loved it. The ambience, the music, the staff, etc. I tried the Jumbi Rum and it was gooood! I also had this rice with chick peas and some veges. Can’t remember what it was called 🤔💭 But it was really tasty. It’s definitely the best vegan meal I’ve had (and I’m not even vegan).

For me, Jumbi is now one of the best restaurants I've been to in London, a place where all your senses are more than satisfied. This place has serious stylee (style)! The venue is off the beaten path in Peckham, which makes it feel almost secret. You'll then get to the door and walk into a large, airy space of sensory adventure. The decor is calm, funky, cultured, and sophisticated all at the same time; those that work there add to this, as the staff are very friendly and very chilled. The food is what brought us here, and Jumbi really has evolved Caribbean cuisine like no other, maintaining the essence of the cuisines and flavors. The Jumbo Plantain Nachos (Black Bean) are a very good starter to share, and the use of the fruit rather than tortillas gives Nachos a new look, with the sweetness and crisp of the plantain complementing the light heat from the beans and tasting great when had with the melted cheese. Following this, we had a Trinidadian staple that was nice to find in a Caribbean restaurant—Trini Doubles; chosen with boneless oxtail, which was a great choice and a new way to enjoy the Trinidadian and Jamaican favorites, which are so moreish! 🤤 These were eaten while enjoying two Rum Punch cocktails during their Happy Hour; each Rum Punch on the menu has a unique stylee, with a different flower in each, and they have many more signature cocktails available. The drinks don't knock you dead, but they'll have you feeling relaxed and wanting another. The mains were then enjoyed with soft drinks and beers from the Caribbean, which is great to see rather than the usual suspects found everywhere else. For the first chosen main, we had their Big Bowl with boneless oxtail, which was a must, feeling like my birthday and Christmas arrived early. Rather than the typical side of rice & peas, the rice is golden, sweet, and complements the oxtail flavors well. The other main ordered was the Jumbi Lamak Crispy Mackerel; I loved seeing this fish on the menu. I really enjoyed the texture and taste of it with its sides. 😋 The mass collection of vinyl and seeing the sound system speakers are what really adds and defines Jumbi's atmosphere, with tunes you won't hear in many places. I loved hearing the mixture of Lovers Rock, along with some other eclectic tracks, making you pull out your phone to Shazam. No playlist, only a DJ knowing what to do to keep the good vibes flowing! I'm not done with Jumbi and will return without a doubt; however, I discovered north of the river in Tottenham they have a sister restaurant called Moko that I'll have to visit. Si mi deh, soon come!!! 😁🇯🇲🇹🇹🎶❤️

Gorgeous little gem of a restaurant! Classic family style Italian. Reasonably priced, tucked away in a corner of good old Peckham. Food is so fresh and tasty. Cosy atmosphere, great menu options. Excellent service from the lovely Alice.

We had a lovely dinner at Il Giardino. My sis and I went at opening time to avoid the crowds. The waiter was friendly and the upstairs seating area was lovely. All of the courses were tasty and beautifully presented. We will definitely go back when possible.

Overall a very nice experience and was the first time here. The service was grand, the staff were super friendly, quick service and the food tasted delicious. There were also specials to also choose from, not too much on the menu which I think is always a good thing, plenty of wine choices to complement the food. Got there early evening on a thursday and then the restaurant was full, shows popularity and you could feel the place has been there a while and was a lovely evening. Would go again and recommend it to anyone who enjoys Italian food. Solid A***** LDT x
