I almost never write a review, but our experience at Wilson’s was really outstanding, especially compared to the average in London. Food was delicious; our favourites: goat cheese’s profiteroles, Mackarel paté and ham, pickles and mustard. What really stood out for me was the service. Suggesting the bread we ordered to come with the more meaty plates, splitting the dessert wine glass into two and even just checking on us after every meal, this is not something you take for granted in London lately. Amazing addition to Ladywell and the London SE scene - we will be back!

This place is delightful!! The food is amazing and the wine is both interesting and a good range. I love the old style feel in here with classic and cosy atmosphere. The staff are lovely and welcome you like old friends. They make the whole experience wonderful.

My husband and I popped in today after hearing good things and wow this is a really great addition to Lewisham! The service is outstanding (you really don’t get service like that anywhere else!) and the food is innovative and delicious. We went for lunch and the menu, albeit limited, was fantastic. The profiteroles were incredible. I am very keen to come back for dinner to try out more dishes.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. We went on a very busy Saturday before Christmas, but despite that everything was perfect. First up, the food. Some of the most delicious food I have eaten. The starters were small but perfectly formed, delicious bites that both of us said were a party in the mouth. The main courses were then so delicious, with even the potatoes on the side so delicious. I skipped desert as so full, but my companion really enjoyed the tiramisu. In terms of atmosphere, the venue is so wonderfully decorated with classy interior which is cozy and makes the venue feel very intimate. The staff are also delightful and wonderful, making time to ensure they still had a chat with us and ensuring a good wine selection. Will definitely be back, but make sure to book (at least at the weekend)

While grabbing coffee at Oscar in Ladywell, I discovered they’ve opened a new restaurant, and it’s a real gem. I highly recommend the ❤️Steak—perfectly tender and flavorful ❤️Goat cheese snack is rich and delicious ❤️Bloody Mary is spot on. We ordered the items from the Saturday lunch menu this time, but I’m eager to return and explore the full à la carte options. Definitely worth a visit!

Had to give a a review, what a great place! First time ordering here and so glad we did! Easy ordering, food arrived in good time and still piping hot. Very tasty and not greasy. Good portions and the popadoms were crunchy! We all enjoyed what we had…. Prawn purée, onion bhaji, Prawn korma, chicken bhuna, chicken dansak, garlic nan, pilau rice and chapati….. yummy! We will be ordering again for sure, nice touch with the QR code for the fridge!!

I had mix grill starters, delicious chargrilled tandoori wings, really tender chicken tikka, kebabs! I also ordered chicken bhuna, lamb korai curry with a creamy dhall! Absolutely delicious, lovely flavours and the service was fast too! Thank you Quaggy’s team.

The food here is absolutely delicious. Every bite blew me away with the depth of flavour. It is all perfectly cooked. If you have never tried Iranian or Afghan food before you are in for a treat. Friendly and quick service, amazing value too - huge portions and good price. I don’t know why this place isn’t more busy - it’s one of the best restaurants in the area and we are so lucky to have this place local. Must recommend!!!!

First time we went to Watandar Really fantastic food. We had yogurt and shallot dip (this was tart and amazing) humus and hallomi salad for starters with their amazing home made out of the tandoori bread. Thin and crispy. Then fantastic lamb and chicken mains. Meat was succulent and in truth we probably didn’t need the starters. The chili sauce was epic! Lovely service - minor point it could have been quicker but great addition to the high street.

One of the best authentic Kabuli Pilao ive had from Afghan cuisine, it offered a variety of dishes rich and fresh flavors of Afghanistan. The service was very prompt and professional really enjoyed our family meal.

I am a meat lover .I can recommend this restaurant with my eyes close to anyone who loves tasty and healthy meat dishes .it's not just about the taste but also about the quality. This restaurant is not just clean and beautiful but they are best in town .Now they started the traditional afghani style seating as well .if you ever feel like you are fed up with all that spicy food and want to try the real taste of meat try this place .you won't regret it .I can promise you that.their karahi and pulao are the best and don't forget their deserts and of course the tea is amazing.

Amazing Afghan restaurant. This is a very very decent restaurant where you get good homely freshly made food in a large portion for very reasonable price. Watandar is a good place to go for sharing meals as platters are very big. The lamb shank pilau is super tasty. The bread is soo yummy and they bake it for each order. The lentil yoghurty wrap was okay but I didn’t love it. The curry and rice was nice. I prefer the chicken karahi over the other one. Lamb shank pilau definitely the best. I’ve had their kebabs as well which are decent. The service is super friendly and welcoming, very chatty and informative owner. Definitely recommend for a taste of afghani food and hospitality.

This store is next to the shopping centre, a black building, which is easy to find. The clerk invited me to participate in the tasting of the opening event of the new store, which was really good. I especially like sushi rolls and salmon sushi. You can’t imagine how fresh the fish is. It‘s really juicy. There are many invited guests in the store, and everyone is very happy. The service attitude of the clerks here is very good. They will be very enthusiastic to introduce you. Today, the boss is dressed in formal clothes and is also very handsome. There are two self-service ordering machines at the door, and there are about 10 tables in them, which are suitable for small parties or dates. I think I will come to this restaurant again next time. The sushi is very fresh. You must eat fresh sushi.

This is the 3rd time coming here with my two kids that are under 10. Found them on Groupon and they are always so nice the staff and the food is definitely worth the price. Loads of space and the decor is pretty cool making the atmosphere quite pleasing.

one of the best vegetable nudles I've ever eaten! I haven't seen a staff so prepared and organized for a long time to be so efficient. a quality of food that central London will never have. you can clearly see that they do it from the heart. Wow, where do I even begin? The food was okay, I guess—if you’re into dishes bursting with flavor, perfectly grilled meats, and sides so good they make you question your life’s choices. The service? The fried chicken is the standout dish, very addictive and worth coming back for. The japchae and bibimbap were okay, nothing special, something I could take or leave. They were great big portions so I liked that a lot. The staff were friendly. Overall, a good visit with a clear favourite dish.

This place is incredible! The food is amazing, the fried chicken is spicy sweet and super crispy. The service is very friendly and definitely a great place to come back to! The bibimbap was also great and the portion size was perfect. I keep thinking about the fried chicken since I had it and can't wait to have it again!

Very well presented food. The beef was better than the pork belly. The rice was excellent, spicy, nutty, sticky, went well with the kimchi, we also tried some drinks. Good service too. I found the music was a little loud but it suited the holiday period.

It is a very efficient and fast restaurant, mainly Indian and Chinese food in Asia. I like beef and curry chicken very much. After a period of hard work, their environment is better, and every time I go there, there is abundant hot food every time. They are very careful. I especially like that one of the staff members in it is an Indian girl. She is very considerate.

Even though the Naan bread wasn't that cheesy , the food was amazing! You must try it !( The only negative things was actually soft drinks, they were tasteless) . But the food was mind blowing! Totally worth it

This is a great little Nepalese restaurant in the heart of Blackheath. This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout. The food was all very well presented and nice and hot. In addition to our ordered starter we were given another, complimentary, starter. The main courses we chose consisted of various curries and were all full of flavour and the meat was very tender. The drinks were also reasonably priced. Overall we had a very pleasant evening and would recommend a visit.

Exceptional - best Indian restaurant I've eaten in to date (apart from Dishoom). Smack bang in the middle of lovely Blackheath village. Food was outstanding, service was great and local to me! It's now my go-to... What a blinder. My friend liked it VERY much. Oh, and the homemade chutney's - next level!

What a delightful find! Delicious food and fantastic service, cannot fault any of it. We came away knowing that this was the best Nepali food we've ever eaten. Highly recommend the Ginger Scallops starter, simply divine! Also had was the Mum's Chicken Curry, which was perfect in every way, a right blend of spices and that slight touch of heat that you want from a curry.

Came here years ago when it first opened and I wasn't disappointed then, nor am I now. Food was spot on and service impeccable. The owner and waiters are all very friendly and sociable. The grilled meats and pizzas were delicious. Definitely recommend! It's also a family friendly restaurant as we had a baby with us and so did many other customers.

Honestly I think Meze Mangal is one of the best Turkish restaurants south of the river. My family & I have been eating here regularly about 12-15 years ago. We then went and lived abroad over the past 15 years. We’re back in London for a month and in the Lewisham area. Tonight we remembered this restaurant and as we were driving close by we dropped in for dinner. The manger remembered us and greeted us warmly. Our dinner tonight reminded us once more of how good & tasty the food is at this restaurant. We will be back….. many more times inshallah….

We’d had a rubbish day with our car breaking down en route to our friends’ wedding. As our car was being repaired at Kwik Fit we decided to pop into this restaurant and our mood was immediately lifted. The menu has a wide range of Caribbean favourites and the friendly lady who was working there was accommodating and helpful in her service. Everything that we ordered was delicious and you could see a stream of locals and regulars passing through as we sat down, clearly it’s a local favourite. We will be returning!

So happy to have found this lovely independent restaurant. Such great value, I got everything in the picture for £15 (portion of jerk chicken, large curry goat, dumping and drink) everything was so fresh and tasty!!! Highly recommend.
