Vanillas Coffee is one of my favourite places for breakfast/brunch. It’s a lovely family run restaurant serving up incredible food packed full of flavour. The service is great and you feel extremely welcome. Couldn’t recommend this place more. A unique and wholesome restaurant.

What a hidden gem!! I visited the cafe with my mum for brunch and we were both really impressed. The place has a real family vibe to it with a super relaxed atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble. We both enjoyed a mug of freshly brewed masala chai which was delicious and authentic tasting. We ate the Omlette and a Masala Dosa and both were incredible! The flavours were delightful and fresh. We both know already what we’re going to choose next time from the menu and look forward to returning. Thank you!

Amazing spot for authentic Indian eats including dhokla, poha & dosa. Broad vegetarian and vegan selection all well labelled. Everything is cooked from scratch so can take time but worth the wait! Had the pav bhaji & masala fries and will be back soon to try the rest of the vegan options

Went here earlier today for eggs Benedict and latte. The eggs Benedict was delicious and so was the coffee. I have walked past this place many times but decided to give it a try, and it was great and I would definitely recommend paying a visit.

The food and drinks were amazing. Went for a friends birthday and they did a little cake and celebration towards the end of the meal. Nice Touch🙌🏾 The DJ and the music was on point non stop. I LOVED that I could enjoy my meal whilst singing along to the latest songs. The space definitely needs to be upgraded to a bigger venue to accommodate more flexible bookings and allow more people, it was a bit tight and the trip the toilet wasn’t great … nearly fell😔 Customer service was lovely and polite. Food did take a little while to come out but worth the wait! Had a great night and great food! Will deffo be going back for that strawberry daiquiri 😍😍😍🍓

We were served by Bolu who had a beautiful smile and lovely customer service each time. We enjoyed the food. Will definitely be back and also recommend. Only recommendation, to make the prices more visible. Having it in a bracket looks like calories count rather than price.

Sweet1ne in Lewisham did NOT disappoint! The food was delicious, big portions and well seasoned. There is a good variety on the menu and everything we ordered was tasty! This was my first time trying oxtail and it was amazing! My husband got the seafood broil mix and was extremely pleased too. The service was fantastic and music was a good vibe too. Golu was our waiter and he made sure we had a great experience. I would definitely recommend this Caribbean style restaurant and will be coming back!!

Waited on our table for about 10 mins but the atmosphere in there was electric so wasn't a problem for us. My friends mum was given a seat whilst we waited as she's 90 years old. We were there to celebrate a birthday. We were accommodated by David. Very apologetic and lovely guy. Owner or manager was very nice too. Everything was 10 out of 10 for me. Drinks had good amount of alcohol in them. Ambience was nice. Music was nice and varied. The portions are massive. We took home a lot of our food. Lovely experience. I had the big chopper with strawberry daiquiri. My friend had a Hugh seafood dish which came with a bib, gloves and all the required utensils to deal with the dish. We had a great time. Even after the restaurant was shutting down for the evening, they put the music back on to wish my friend a happy birthday. Very accommodating for us. And very attentive when they were told my friends daughter was allergic to seafood. And advised her accordingly. Highly recommended. The restaurant is hidden from the main road though. But loved the place. They even put our left over cocktail in two bottles for us as it was the biggest glass I had ever seen lol.

I’ve lived in Locally for the past five and Zest opening has truly been one of the loveliest little blessings in Lewisham . The staff are nothing short of incredible—kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. Their service is unmatched. They take pride in their work and it’s something I notice and deeply appreciate. Whether it’s been quick stops between work, coffee catch-ups, or celebrating my birthday, Zest has always made every moment special. It’s the little things that really make a dining or coffee experience , and they have so much attention to detail - I’m a big fan of the Turkish Delights! Its so sad that they’ve had to reduce their hours especially because their food and impeccable service are the best in the area. Their quality is unparalleled, and they deserve all the success in the world. I would highly recommend. The menu has a pleasantly varied selection. It's important to support good quality independent retail, and it is both convenient and important to have a decent places to stop and relax which are close to a transport hub (Lewisham). The cafe' is clean, with outside seating, providing a v good space to have a break, meet a friend, have a meeting, catch up with some work.... The staff are friendly and the service responsive. I would suggest people go and support this space as Lewisham Centre cannot afford to lose such an establishment.

The best in Lewisham, made me question why I waited so long to come here. I had the avocado on toast, and the presentation, the portion size, the perfect cooking of the ingredients, and the overall flavor harmony were all fantastic. Generally, hospitals have a bad reputation when it comes to food and beverage choices. I know you are visiting the hospital for health reasons, but food and beverages also play a role in your health. The team at Gaff seem to be new here, but seems to be working hard to make the experience fun. As we were in the hospital for a few days, we tried them along with the others, and I must say Gaff played a good role in our mood here. The staff are friendly, the food, although limited, is delicious. The drinks were well made, and there is a cute little atmosphere to take some time off and enjoy nature outside.

Lovely cafe right at the entrance of the Orange Reiverside Wing. The vibe of the place is spacious and clean. The coffee was fresh, and the cafe offers multiple food options- soups, porridge, sandwiches, croissants, pain au chocolates etc. Both veg, fish and non-veg options available. Also fresh juices and crisps are available to buy. Well-stocked cafe, and everything looked fresh. Sufficient seating available- with loads of high chairs by the windows. Will definitely visit again.

Very lovely little cafe serving good food for reasonable price. The Italian breakfast is really nice, definitely recommend. At first I was sceptical but the sausages and potatoes are very yum. The sandwich we had arrived burnt as the chef (one lady, the wife of the guy running the shop next door I believe) was very busy and didn’t notice. As soon as we mentioned it it was replaced no issues and was very nice. My mum has been here several times for breakfast and lunch and says that the entire menu is very nice. I would like to try their pasta. The only thing is the coffee could honestly be better considering it’s an Italian place. Really good though and I like the shop next door.

If you can't afford to go on holiday to Italy this year do the next best thing and come here for lunch instead. Home cooked in a very Tratoria style and in an atmosphere redolent of Naples or Rome. Start with a mini Campari and Soda from the fridge (an excellent choice of Italian drinks) or a mini tetra of red wine. We had the Pasta alla Pollo and Melanzania Parmigiana. Both richly flavoured and cooked well. My partner had never had Canolo, so this was had along with really good coffee. All enjoyed in an enclave of Italian voices and culture. We both came out from this place feeling like we'd been abroad, quite a feat in Lewisham.

This place is the true definition of not judging a book by its cover. We came to visit this place ‘cause of Vittles’ recommendation about being able to find Lithuanian food here; a rarity in London! Needless to say, we were not disappointed. We had also some great pakistani dishes, and the deli breakfast combo was lovely - the flavours were well balanced and nothing was too spicy. The pink soup was a true revelation and its a great summer plate. We’ll surely be back!

I love this cafe. I am here multiple times per week. Love the smoothies and mango lassi that you get here. It is so cheap but really good quality too. But my favourite is the Lithuanian sweets and marmalade cookies 😁 Had avocado on rye toast with the lemon pepper absolutely delicious 😋

The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere feels very homely and genuine. The standout dish for me was definitely the paratha - it was perfectly crispy and had just the right amount of buttery goodness. The tarka dhal was another highlight, with a rich, flavorful sauce and perfectly cooked lentils. But perhaps the best part of this cafe is the value for money. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially given the high quality of the food. Would definitely recommend.

Best coffee shop, actually best restaurant as they serve everything, I need from Good coffee and breakfast, delicious lunch to healthy dinner, everything they made is freshly home made. Amazing little gem added for people in Lewisham, Catford, Lee highroad, Brockley, lady well. Sydenham, Blackheath, Deptford and New cross. My favourite is their Chicken Biryani and mango Lassi. and their home made cake.

AMAZING CAFE!! this cute little cafe is just what the area was missing. The food is delicious, all homemade and fresh. Prices are so cheap and portions big so great value for money. Very decent menu with wide range of items from paninis to chicken briyani. Mango lassi was delicious. My samosa and chicken briyani was also soo nice. Great ice coffee. The falooda ice cream dessert is so unique and delicious. The Lithuania owner is so friendly and chatty, her customer service is brilliant. This cafe is very authentic and genuine and just a great place to go for some good coffee and food. Perfect for brunch and lunch. Cant wait to go back

I don’t often write reviews but we went to the last night of Henry’s supper pop up at Oscar’s and it was absolutely phenomenal. The food, the staff- just great! And we’re so happy to hear Henry and the Oscars owners are going to be opening a restaurant in the old coral betting shop opposite! This is exactly what ladywell needs. Great work guys!

Oscar is offering very good coffee in Ladywell—a cozy spot with friendly service. Their sandwich is lovely as well, though at £9.5, it's a bit steep for a regular lunch option. Despite that, I’ll definitely be coming back for more coffee.

Great coffee (they used Assembly Roasters, one of the better ones in London) and I had a well tasty cinnamon bun, prices are not cheap though but more than makes up for great service and good quality of food. I wish they would have got bigger spaces though as it can get really crowded on weekends (due to lack of good cafes around the area obviously)

Very good greasy spoon cafe. My full English was fresh, hot tasty food which came quickly. Very large portion, and all the food was very nice and decent quality. The price was very reasonable. My coffee was nice. The place has a lively atmosphere at lunch with lots of local service workers/ builders stopping to eat and then local families having lunch too. I sat outside and it was very nice. Service very friendly.

Visited today off a whim and a recommendation. Random cold Monday at lunch time and I ended up having the best food I’ve had in a while. Compliments to the chef!! Everything was well seasoned and pure PERFECTION! I had a fresh mint tea and a cocktail and they were both perfectly presented and *chef’s kiss* the lady serving us was POLITE patient and considerate as I had a work meeting and she took her time. Food came out on time and I will be returning with a group of friends to introduce them to the place. The jollof was perfection. Everything was really good I can’t lie!!

Great place for a yummy bite out. Food was delicious and there was a nice variety. It didn’t take long to get the food which is always nice. Service was friendly, but a bit slow. We had to ask for cutlery and get up for the bill. Cocktails took a bit to make. They charge 12.5% service charge which seems a bit high… Also they don’t ask, they simply add it to the bill. Restaurant seemed clean and nicely decorated. We expected it to be bigger, tables are a bit close together. Music is loud so it makes having a conversation a bit difficult. We would recommend booking a table in advance (you can do it online). Saturday night it was full so thank god we booked in the early afternoon. Would recommend!

Awesome visit today with a small group of friends (3 of us) celebrating a birthday. It was a last minute decision, part 2 of our evening and it was perfection. The place was buzzing. All the waiters were trying their best to find us a table (we had not booked), quick service and with a smile despite how busy the place was. We had to compliment them on that. While waiting we perused the menu and ordered. Shortly after we were seated at our table the delicious food came… ah, and the Chapman was amazing. The jollof rice with beef was our favourite. The beef suya was tasty and soft. Overall a great way to end our birthday evening celebrations.

We visited this restaurant for the first time. A heartwarming and welcoming experience with incredibly friendly staff who went out of their way to make our visit wonderful. The restaurant is very clean and has a lively atmosphere. Our caretaker Erdem as well as the rest of the staff were very kind and took their time to explain the menu to us, we went for a platter menu based on the recommendations which ended up being scrumptious and very filling. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious Turkish restaurant in Lewisham.

We had a beautiful time in this restaurant. The service personal was very kind and very courteous. Food was very good. We came as a family and visited Ana‘more 3 times in a 1 week trip to London. Breakfast and Dinner were both great.

Very pleasant experience trying Turkish food for the first time (beyond just kebab). Thanks mostly to our waitress, Ozlem, who was very patient and took the time to explain the food, ingredients, culinary traditions, and helped us avoid anything spicy. Great service that made us feel comfortable enough to ask about anything, even with a touch of humor. Absolutely all the food was delicious, I would recommend anyone to go and try Ayran as well, a typical Turkish drink, very different from what I’m used to but very good and refreshing.

Decor is lovely, spacious with a great atmosphere. The food was well on point. Standards are very high. We had a mixed grill for 4, and there is definitely more enough to feed that number we ended up having to take dome home. Lewisham standards of eateries dosent disapont.
