Lovely local cafe with gigantic and delicious breakfast. Gee was our server, and he welcomed us into his place. And even though it was filled with mostly locals, he humored us with group photos. Men in high visibility construction vests were seated all around us. You know you’ve found a gem when this is the case. Would return!

This place is an absolute must when visiting London. It has everything you want in a greasy spoon. As an Irishman it pains me to say this but I've never had such an amazing breakfast in all my life. The bubble, fried slice, and sausage were nothing short of mind blowing. Staff and atmosphere was also superb!

We decided to have breakfast here since we were staying nearby and had read all the wonderful reviews. We tried three different breakfast dishes along with fresh orange juice, and everything was delicious – we left feeling full and satisfied! While the food was tasty, it was really the warm atmosphere and the kindness of the staff that made the experience memorable. Their friendliness and genuine attentiveness are what keep people coming back and leaving such positive feedback. I’ve lived in Kennington for 15 years and have always meant to try this place. Finally did today and regret not coming in sooner. Friendly staff, good food, good service. Good fry up with decent Cumberland style sausages and bubble (bit of a rarity south of the river). I’ll definitely be back and would recommend!

We were immediately charmed by this cafe. The atmosphere is everything you are expecting from the outside with a bustling vibe. A real local experience. The plates are loaded high with comforting food that feels like it came straight out of your mums kitchen in the early 2000s. Prices are super reasonable. Would definitely recommend the stop by if you’re hungry - vegetarian and halal available. Orders the vegan breakfast - and I am not a huge fan of fake meats - and was pleasantly surprised when the vegan sausage was more like a sausage shaped bubble and squeak, instead of a traditional vegan sausage!

Absolutely beautiful local coffee shop with an extensive variety of plants and seating. Coffee was wonderful and very fairly priced. Overall a great experience with a beautiful slice of the outdoors to relax and enjoy. Could not recommend this place enough.

The pastries here are fine. I thought the almond croissant was passable. The space is nice. Bright and a good amount of seating, but nothing worth writing home about. The coffee, on the other hand, is really exceptional. This has to be the most extraordinary coffee experience I've ever had in any cafe, London or otherwise. I ordered a pour over and, feeling awkward about standing over the baristas shoulder, sat down at a table to wait. Still, after she'd ground the beans, she walked them over to the table so I could get a whiff (and of course they smelled complex and delicious). The attention to detail when pouring was also impressive. And of course, the coffee itself tasted great. I've never had a cup with more balanced acidity and sweetness (it was the Luis Marcelino beans, for curious parties). I should also note that the baristas were exceptional. As I've outlined above, they obviously know what they're doing and make an outstanding cuppa joe. However, I was even more impressed by how personable they were about the whole experience. Coffee culture can feel a bit pretentious at times, but they were more than willing to meet me where I was at as someone not so knowledgable. They also worked in their own personal tastes, experiences, backgrounds in a way that I found refreshing. Oh and the pour over is obviously an expensive drink. But remember to treat yourself every once in a while, it's an experience.

Had a nice mocha there, and it is not very sweet at all! The chocolate/ cacao that they blend in is not over powering, I can still taste the coffee itself, and the staff really know their coffee. They use Colombian beans with orange taste. There is no WiFi but great music choice and perfect to be present with your coffee time.

The cappuccino was good - the milk was whipped to a really good level - it was silky but maintained its texture at the same time. I think it had some interesting aftertaste that I could not parse which made it not my top of the top cappuccino, but still it was good. The staff were friendly. The place itself is fairly spacious. It there was one thing I could recommend it would be changing the cups to a bit more modern option

It’s a nice place to grab a simple cheap brunch, it looks like a family business. We got a full english with a coffee for less than £10 each! The ambience is simple but nice. The food came super quick and it was really good - big portions as well.

Great pricing for traditional British breakfast! Don’t think food tasted any more special than elsewhere because there’s only so much you can do with baked beans, hash browns and toasts. But this place has its own character, extensive breakfast selections and was very popular, had to queue for a bit to get in and they close early as well. You can choose your own breakfast combination.

Regency cafe, without wanting to I am sure, is the perfect spot if you are visiting London wanting to do as the locals do by grabbing a full English breakfast and enjoying the early start to the morning. As soon as you enter, it’s buzzing. There is a morning rush from the counter with the lady trying to get the orders in and plates out to customers as soon as they are ready. You have to order your meal before finding a table, be sure to have your mind made up so not to annoy others waiting. We ordered the set breakfast deal - the lady calls out your order when ready. It was absolutely delicious! Simple but very tasty. Highly recommend. The coffee is just filter coffee but we were not expecting a full on barista made coffee. The lady behind the counter was super nice and appreciated that we had made up our minds by the time we got to our ordering.

This place kept coming up as a recommendation. I wasn't going to try it as an English breakfast didn't sound like the most appetizing thing but this place was great. No frills, diner like atmosphere. We got there right before the line got too long but you can expect a wait. Moves pretty quick though. I was nervous by the time we ordered there wouldn't be seating but this place is efficient. If you're looking to try a traditional English breakfast, definitely come here.

This is a spot that you must visit at least once in your life. The food although readily available anywhere, comes with incredible service and an incredible atmosphere. The way orders are taken in itself are an experience. The food I had was very tasty and portions were very generous. I was given a generous helping of cheese and tartare sauce as part of the price. The chips are so well cooked, I thoroughly enjoyed. There is a wait, however it’s worth it and the lines reduces at pace.

Fantastic little community cafe, a gem of a place in amongst the overpriced and overrated eateries in the area. The breakfast was hearty, plentiful and very tasty, the cooks were as much of a delight as the chocolate and caramel cake I had for dessert at 10.30 in the morning but couldn't resist! Big shout out to Linda who regaled me with stories of the history of the place and to Jenna and Sarah the other cooks who helped brighten an already happy environment, and to the regular Scots lad who's name escapes me, for his welcome, can't say how much my mother in law and I enjoyed our time spent there. Don't pass this place by, pop in, you won't regret it!!

You might miss it, but this charity-based café is incredibly reasonably priced, with great lil balcony and a really decent portions! Ten minute walk from Tate Britain and definitely preferable to a £9 sandwich there, when a full English is under £9 👌

I can't speak highly enough of the place, the friendly happy staff, the quality of the food and the price. I would honestly pay twice the amount for that quality in that area. Fantastic. Keep a seat for me!!

Nice café with good food and coffee. The food is tasty and big portions and some items are good value for money like the sandwiches and American pancakes. The pancakes needed a bit more toppings though because the pancakes were so big. Service is good and the workers are generally really friendly. English breakfast is very good and large portion. Turkey bacon however is tasteless and super processed, much prefer real bacon. The wait can be long when the café is busy such as Saturday morning.

I came here with a group of 8 for a team lunch and we were all blown away by the choice of food, how delicious everything was and how friendly and welcoming the staff were. They have a range of fantastic mains and sides and you can mix and match, as well as loads of other things. The ambience in the cafe is really nice, we all want to come back again. Thank you Rochester Café for being so brilliant for our large group.

Decided to come here, hidden in the lower ground of the cathedral. Unfortunately they only accept cash, but the man running the cafe was extremely friendly and welcoming. Love the fact classical music is played within the cafe. Amazing hot chocolate! Will return to try the breakfast options one day. 4 stars for service as cash only, but was an amazing experience.

A hidden, homely, friendly cafe within Westminster Cathedral. The cafe is slightly hidden, down some stairs within Westminster Cathedral. It has the feeling of a traditional cafe, serving jacket potatoes, soup and cakes at very reasonable prices. Not fancy or pretentious in anyway which makes it great! - the type of cafe you find less and less of in central London. Very friendly service and relaxing atmosphere.

London is full of surprises. This is an underground cafe that is reached by a series of stairs to the right of the Cathedral's main entrance. It is not obvious that the cafe exists. I was particularly nosy and searched out the cafe which has been, I was told, serving for more than a quarter of a century. The menu offering was unpretentious, service was friendly (hallo Charlie), there's lots of space, and even classical music playing in the background.

Such a gem the Cafe@Westminster Cathedral!Pit stop for lunch! Had the most scrumptious jacket potato with cheese, ham & red onion. Sooo good! And the walnut home made cake was a total hit. They have quite an extended menu with hot soup, freshly made sandwiches, scones, salads & dessert. The sweetest, kindest staff ever! Totally worth the visit!

A nice simple cafe. Small seating inside and outside. Coffee was lovely and simple. I thought the pastry was going to be cold but the server asked if I wanted it warm which was a lovely bonus. However it did get cold quickly. It was a quick stop, but the perfect place for it.

A very nice and welcomed break after a lovely visit and walk. I had a chaï latte with oat milk and an Italian pâtisserie. Everything was not too sweet, it was perfectly balanced 😊. I highly recommend the place for a nice halt, lovely interior and calm street. One can enjoy the sun outside when the it wants to shine! The service given by Ana and Brigel was lovely and I truly had a delightful moment :). They were highly professional, great customer service, kind and patient. And they knew their products!

Was walking from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey arounf the lunch period and found this quaint restaurant nearby. When I walked in, all the tables were full but as a solo traveller, they found space at the bar. I ordered the chicken pot pie and a lemon drink and found the quality of the dish to be exquisite. The waitstaff were knowledgeable enough to inform me that due to the nature of the dish, there would be a 20 minute wait, which is fair, and exactly 20 minutes after ordering, out came and incredible pie with amazing side salad. Huge props to the chef, wait staff and front of house for accomodating me as a walk-in patron and high quality of food and drinks on offer!

What an amazing place First of all, I'd like talk about the frindly Samantha. She is the one who will welcome you when you arrive at the cafe. She is so lovely and kind. Then, I'd like to talk about the food. It's amazing. Me and my sister ordered Welsh Rerebit and the dish was delicious. The place is cozy and we felt very happy there. I think this cafe is a must-visit in London.

Had a well-cooked large-portion full English breakfast in the cafe. The mushroom is juicy and the poached egg is well boiled. The whole dish is slightly too savory though. Will not recommend the Chai latte as it is quite pale in flavour.

It is amazing place a little bit a side from very main street. My food was delicious, maybe spinach could be less sour but overall incredible experience,. It is a pity I do not have two stomacks😁 I would try everything here. The stuff is very caring and nice. Highly recommended!
