So happy to have this lovely new cafe with really friendly staff on my doorstep. Great coffee (and hot chocolate!), as well as delicious pastries & sandwiches. And their new platters are an added bonus, highly recommend!

All I can say is bellisima!! I have been wanting to try The Roasting for quite sometime. It is definitely worth the wait. The coffee was great and the pistachio croissant was absolutely fabulous. It’s one of the nicest pastries I had. The prices were also decent and affordable. Service is also great. The guy helped me to choose pastries by giving me an idea of what each of them were and he also gave me a drink recommendation. I will definitely come back to try the other stuff.

Flat white is gorgeous!! really taste the coffee. Mediterranean breakfast is filling and nice. Diff from my usual full English breakfast. Fresh ingredients and presentation was spot on. The pancakes were fluffy, but rather stingy on the toppings. 7x blueberries, half a strawberry, tiny bit of syrup, half a banana to go with 4 pancakes is not enough. Need more fruits if you're paying £8.50.

I had a lovely experience at this cafe. The service was friendly and attentive. I ordered a cortado and a brownie, which was rich and perfectly satisfying. The cafe’s interior is beautifully designed, with a bright, airy feel, and the toilet was also very clean! Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area :)

How its possible for one High Street to have so many coffee shops and not one of them empty is a mystery! However this little addition is perfect. Great coffee and some seriously decent looking pastries. Looks like they switch up the daily coffee too which is nice! I came here as I thought it would be quiet enough to work through for an hour whilst I have coffee..boy was I wrong.. the people just keep coming 😂 Get the loyalty cards going and you're all set!

Really enjoyed visiting this minimalist coffee shop serving artisan coffee. Very happy to see another local independent coffee shop in Surbiton with a difference. The staff are lovely - professional, warm and friendly towards all customers. The atmosphere is light , minimal and non- distracting making it a perfect spot to meet with friends or read the Sunday papers. The coffee is great and pastries looked lovely although I haven’t tried any yet. I appreciate they sell their own coffee beans to take away too.I’m curious to see their menu develop and would love it if they offered customers a choice of single origin as well as the coffee blend they have on the day.

Great new coffee place. The coffee is excellent. Nice place to sit and watch Surbiton's life emerge. I think my only gripe is the decor is pretty sparse and characterless. Could be heated a bit more but understandable given today's energy prices.

Children are more than happy, there is always something special for them ☺️ Often order takeaways as well. With the lovely new option - Day lunch menu, it's a big relief when we don't have time to cook a home-cooked meal. Thank you Eff Café, you are amazing! We highly recommend you! 💯

I can’t say enough good things about this place! It’s hands down the best breakfast spot in town. The food is always fresh, vibrant, and delicious, as you can see from the beautifully presented acai bowl. The ingredients are top-notch, from the crunchy granola to the fresh fruit, and everything is always prepared with care. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. I feel so fortunate to live nearby. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a healthy and tasty breakfast!

Cumbia Speciality Coffee House

166 Chiltern Dr, Surbiton KT5 8LS, UK | Coffee Shop
P: 07496 011059

Rating: 5 (61) Price Level:

A proper coffee house which has very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They can tell you where the coffee is sourced (all of it is Colombian), the story behind the location & the processes undertaken. They actually roast all of their beans in house which gives it a very fresh and flavourful taste. The staff will help you identify what beans that would suit your coffee choice best, I.e americano, flat white etc. Really recommend visiting the cafe to sit in or take coffee for your commute from Berrylands. They also offer various pastries and snacks etc to complement your choice. I feel like that this is an independent cafe not to be missed, with expertise and flavours which will not be found at a local chain coffeehouse!

This is a review of the online shop rather than the physical shop, so please take it as such: I ordered some coffee beans and, after a couple of days, used the WhatsApp contact on the website to ask for a delivery status because I realised I'd made an error myself in my e-mail address when ordering. To be clear, I wasn't raising a complaint and it was still within what I'd consider a reasonable delivery time, I was just asking because I'd made a mistake myself with my details. Later that afternoon a guy from the shop actually came around in person and dropped off a bag of beans, saying they'd been having some issues with the post recently but if I did receive another bag in the next few days to just consider it on the house. He even had a brief friendly chat about my brewing method and the best beans for particular methods with me when he dropped off my order. Amazing customer service. I neither demanded nor could have expected that level of personalised care, so can't recommend these people highly enough. (Oh and the actual coffee is great, too).

Looking for a breakfast place in surbiton and ended here. Decent selection of food, vegetarian option was present. Drink selection was good too, only tried the hot chocolate here but honestly was very nice, dark hot chocolate and white hot chocolate, wasn’t too hot though but not too mad about that. Food was quite good, I had the Veggie Brekkie was very filling and well priced. The French toast too was delicious, great mixture. Atmosphere was okay, the pink and interior isn’t my cup of tea but not to say it was ugly, I can see people enjoying the fun, colourful interior. Seating was comfortable too but just slightly cramped and was too close to other tables personally. Service was decent, nothing much more to say about it, wasn’t all the way up there so only 4 stars. Would come back though

Had a lovely lunch in ICON today. Quite specious to be comfortable to eat and the staffs were friendly. The Harvest salad had lots of different ingredients and they were all harmonised. My friend had a French toast - it was good enough to say nice French toasts. The prices were reasonable. Happy to visit there again.
