An exceptional coffee shop, they have a great variety of food including sweet treats and light bites to eat. The quality of service is outstanding, really friendly people. Prices are very reasonable and absolutely worth it, a much better investment of your money than some of the other major coffee shops like Costa or Starbucks. I worked in the area for a little bit and this was my go to café and I can honestly say I have absolutely no regrets choosing this place for coffee and food. If you’re in the area and fancy a coffee or a light bite to eat or a sweet treat. This is the place to go!

My favourite cafe ever. Service is 10/10 lovely waiter, beautiful clean cafe, food fresh and is absolutely amazing! And the coffee is outstanding best coffee I’ve had! For someone who’s had coffee is multiple places, this cafe by far has the best coffee. Going to try more stuff from the menu soon and more drinks! Amazing cafe.

Went inside for the first time today for a cuppa delight and tiramisu as I saw that it was home-made, which is so rare to find. Then had a quick look at the menu and around only to be pleasantly surprised by the delicious desserts and authentic coffees. We saw the grill and decided to try the lamb on the grill. Wonderful, tasty, fresh food, delicious milkshakes and freshly squeezed juices. The coffee is simply the best in this area, has an aroma that contains all those bittersweet tones that me, as an Italian am so in love with it. Took a trip to mia Italia by taking a sip of it, had a smiley face on it that gave such a nice touch. What a gem hidden on Barking Road. The owner is very friendly, welcoming, takes pride in being able to fuse Italian culture with English and other cultures creating a unique experience and exquisite atmosphere. Prices are very affordable as well, fresh produce, quality home cooked food and portions are sized amazingly on a plate. A place to come back indubitably to try the caramel home-made tiramisu and desserts. It truly gave such a home feel, La Casa Mia :)

Lovely coffee shop with a friendly owner and home made cakes. I had the tuna panini and a flat white for £7 all told. Fresh water on the table too. It can get noisy outside being near a junction but it's nice and clean and quiet inside

It is an amazing coffee shop, which I love to frequent on my walks. The staff are ever so kind, helpful and polite. Love coming here and trying all the different cakes, sustainable drinks and very tasty coffee. I totally recommend this establishment.

Great ambiance, great coffee made just right, nice and hot staff very friendly and professional nothing is too much bother, coffee a little expensive but it's well worth it for the quality keep up the great work Since they started making food it's of a high quality freshly made While you wait nothing is premade Might be a wait but worth it Definitely worth the money they recently changed there baker it's so much better .thank you so much for finding a new supplier your so on the ball I would give you 10/10 I am there everyday better and great value much cheaper than Costa and Starbucks keep up the great work Thank you The security guard is so friendly and helpful nice change to have a helpful Security guard he goes the extra mile Just recently updated food menu Fantastic. The best cafe in Barking! I love that it is co-operatively run with an emphasis on community and sustainability. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and they really know how to make a great coffee. I’d recommend the smashed avocado on toast or the mozzarella toastie and they’ve got a delicious selection of cakes. Have a wander along the river and then head to Grounded for lunch, it will not disappoint!

Amazing coffeehouse! It’s very style oriented, I love Japan culture where they decorated. Every time practice in barking test, I always drink Mocha coffee, which helps me relax. Btw, toilet is very clear! Please do come this coffee, boost your confidence! Yes, I passed and they free give me a coffee and nice cake. Will come this coffee again!

Anteiku is by far the best coffee shop in the area. The artwork and decor are really cool. Most importantly, the coffee is amazing! and the sourdough toasties are really good.

Great service and very friendly staff. We only had a quick breakfast roll and sandwich with a cup of tea each, but this was lovely. Bread and rolls were fresh and the bacon and egg were cooked as we asked.

We popped in for breakfast while we were in the area having our car serviced. There was a bit of a queue to get to the counter to order but the guy serving apologised and was really friendly. I had the traditional breakfast and my husband had the eggs royal, we both had a cappuccino. Both breakfasts were really nice and the service was great. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area, they also offer slush puppies, milkshakes, smoothies and many lunch options.

I've been going to this cafe almost every day for about 7 to 8 weeks as I've been on a big job around the corner. I have nothing bad to say about the place. Service is quick and orders are bang on to how the customer likes. Only once has there been a mistake with my food, I got sweet chilli instead of chilli and mayo in my chicken wrap - BOO HOO!! They take pride in their Chefs Special Chicken dishes and rightly so - It's really, really good. The pic is of The Chefs Special Chicken Jacket Potato with Chillies and Cheese. So, so good.... 👍9.6/10

If you're looking for Halal traditional cafe food with great service this is your place! We got the set breakfast (Number 2) and a half pounder meal. The food was a good old classic style munch, nothing fancy but on point. The service was the best bit, the gentleman that took our order was very accommodating as we requested for the Halal option and for the food to be delivered at a specific time. It was timed well and was delivered fresh/hot which we really appreciated.

Our hotel didn’t provide the best breakfast options and at the prices they wanted was simply not going to happen. The hunt was on for finding a place to have breakfast and this places was only around the corner. The reviews pulled us in and they aren’t wrong this place is really friendly and welcoming. The food options was outstanding and they do sourdough bread what more could you ask for really. All in all great place to have your brunch and relax. Thank you to the staff.

I absolutely love this cafe! The owners are incredibly friendly, and I've been a loyal customer since they were next to Barking Station. The new location is fantastic – it's a peaceful spot to catch up or to sit and work. The service is outstanding, and they offer delicious Halal hot food, with the chicken Cajun panini being my favorite. It's a gem that deserves more recognition. 100% recommended!

10/10 ACROSS THE BOARD! This cafe is such a gem and one of best ones I’ve stepped into in a while. The owners and staff are so lovely and authentically want to make your day. Sat outside and had the Tuna Crunch and Cajun Chicken Toastie and goddam 😍 the coffees, matcha lattes and espresso are too good 🙌🏾 Good veggie options & all is halal 💯
