I received a voucher for the prosecco breakfast and not sure why it took me so long to use it! I checked the menu ahead of time and saw how generous this particular menu choice was. We booked it at lunch time to account for this and still took the final course 'to-go'. Plenty of delicious food and choices. The atmosphere is just right and we were tucked away nicely at the back. The gentleman who served us throughout the meal was attentive and friendly. Lovely place, great food, and superb staff.

Our first visit and given as a recommendation from a friend who lives in the area. First impressions on arrival were positive and we loved the location and building. Interior of the gift shop, welcome and staff was excellent very friendly. We had prebooked and was able to be seated a little earlier without any issues. Browsing the menu , ordering our drinks was easy and they were well prepared and presented. My daughter loved the Hippo Milk Shake, the lattee was really good. The food 👍 The Appletree breakfast plate was really tasty all round and a good portion. The Breakfast Burrito very well presented, all round very tasty. The Breakfast Crumble - A good healthy option. Thank you to the friendly staff and management. We will be back !

Very pleasant, helpful staff despite it being an extremely busy lunchtime. Staff were all very helpful, patient and welcoming. As expected, there was no room indoors (need to book this well in advance), so we chanced upon sitting in the barn, but when we arrived, all 6 tables were full. Sat outside, cold wind despite the lovely sunshine and soon became chilled. Eventually we took our coffees into the barn once there was space; it felt fresh next to the large, open gates, but an improvement from outdoors. Good food selection and I ordered the all-day breakfast, my husband their quiche. Breakfast duly arrived but sausage, bacon and gash brown had clearly been kept warm for some time and were rather dry and spoilt. Poached eggs were only just warm, but tasty as were the lovely mushrooms. The baked beans were the only hot item on my plate. Lovely peashoots with two fresh cherry tomatoes of which two were warmish and grilled. Husband's individual quiche was warm and very tasty, served with a good potion of delicious mixed salad, consisting of baby leaves. Pea shoots, fresh raspberries, cranberries and blueberries too! We finished with a tasty piece of home-baked style layer cake each and the most amazing mug of hot chocolate. Presentation throughout was delightful.

What delightful place! Had a decadent hot chocolate made with actual chocolate flakes in hot milk, mini marshmallows and cream. The baked potato was divine, as was my fiancées chicken and brie panini !

Such a lovely little café. I go here every now and then with my grandma, each time I'm blown away by the quality and quantity of items for the price you pay. everything is well priced and well portions, well worth the visit.

We have often seen Masons but never ventured in until 3 weeks ago, how we wished we had done this sooner. We have now been for Saturday breakfast for the last 3 weeks. The staff are lovely, the food is great and it is a lovely place to be. They seem to love dogs and go out of the way to make a fuss of ours. Highly recommend to anyone.

A very warm welcome from Collette and Mick today, backed up by a roaring log burner. Fantastic atmosphere and selection of drinks. The Barley Mow has some of the best pub food I've ever had. All home cooked and everything on the plate was perfect. Get a pie. They are all phenomenal. You cannot be disappointed.

Anyone who makes pies while reciting poetry by the bard Cooper-Clarke gets a thumbs up from me. Communication was amazing booking the table. Service was ace. Food was superb. We sadly couldn’t stay for the band, but will be back the next time we come to the Peak District. Loved it.

We ate here tonight, when they say “proper pie” that’s exactly what they mean. The food was delicious, the pie (pastry top and bottom) was jam packed full of meat. The slice of pie was huge. The landlord and his team were on the ball and chatty, funny and honest. Defo worth a visit.

Landlord and landlady were very accommodating. We met up as a family for lunch and to discuss our dad's final business after his passing last year. The landladies father joined us for a while and he chatted non stop about his younger days in Gorton. Lovely bloke.

Had a great first visit. We had a full English breakfast. Food was freshly made and hot. I'm sure we will return.

We love visiting and took Mum and Dad today. The food is always delicious. Just wish we had room for a dessert as all homemade and look yummy. Lovely ladies and so much choice. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I've never really stopped in hasland before but I came across this lovely cafe friendly and welcoming staff beautiful cheese cake and white hot chocolate very tasty but the thing that I loved was the collection of quirky spoons that came with the food and drink

Great service and excellent food/drinks. I visited Host for the first time today with my partner who had been a few times and always said how good it is. I can honestly say the establishment has a unique vibe about it, all the staff are friendly and make you so welcome. The drinks are the best coffee I’ve had in a long time and the prices are very reasonable. My partner had bacon Brie and cranberry ciabatta while I had jalapeño and four cheese, both outstanding quality. I would highly recommend to anyone going, the caramel cappuccino is well worth the money.

Honestly, this place is 5 minutes from my house and it feels like home every time i step in it! Love the cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and amazing food and drinks!

Host is absolutely my go to place for catching up with friends and afternoon dates with my Husband! The food is phenomenal, freshly made, delicious and beautifully presented. The staff are the best I've ever encountered, every single one of them... it feels like their welcoming you into their home and you're an old friend! I would always recommend Host to anyone it's one of my favourite places ! Thankyou !

Always friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Today I took my dog along for the first time and the staff came across with a fresh bowl of water and a treat for him. It was so welcoming; little things like that make such a difference! The food was great too as always.

Called in for breakfast after visiting Eyam. The place was very busy but managed to get seated and got served within good time considering how packed the place was. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was great. It’s dog friendly, and our pooch was brought some water by one of the staff members. The cafe was really nicely decorated and very clean throughout. Breakfast was excellent, good quality ingredients, nicely cooked and presented. The bacon that had been done on the griddle was particularly nice. Great experience overall, and looking forward to coming back for a pizza and a pint one night. ****Edit***** 1 Week after leaving the above 5 star review, unfortunately I have to reduce the rating to a 2. I called into the cafe today after such a great experience last week. Today was fairly quiet, got seated and someone came to take an order within a reasonable time. 3 club sandwiches and a piece of cake and 4 drinks. Drinks came then waited…and waited…and waited for the food. A couple of tables got served but there didn’t seem to be a lot of action in the cooking area, so wondered if our order had gone through. No food after an hour so decided it was time to go. I asked the waitress for the bill for the drinks and explained that our food hadn’t arrived. I got a lukewarm apology of “Sorry, not sure what happened “. Waited another 5 minutes for her to discuss with colleagues then got the drinks bill. I mentioned how good things had been last week, but was disappointed that nobody had realised we hadn’t been served when there were only a few customers in. I would have been happy with an apology with some conviction, asked if we still wanted food, maybe not charge for the drinks due to the error. I don’t leave many negative reviews, and would always give an establishment chance to put things right, but I feel everything was a bit casual and didn’t leave the place feeling there had been a genuine error, but staff had done everything to make me feel I still wanted to return again. Chapter 3! …. Came in today for a breakfast. Very busy but got seated. Service was great, breakfast was great. Just wanted to say a special Thanks to Vicky. She was really welcoming and attentive. I noticed her running around, checking on customers, she came back to us twice about our breakfast and our bill at the end, just to check in on us. She must have covered 2 miles in the time we were there, and all with a smile on her face.This is what customer service should be like. Vicky deserves a medal (or a pay rise).I have revised my rating back to 5 stars, based on todays meal and service, just disappointed with last weeks reaction to us not getting served, but hopefully all back and track and can enjoy Cupola again.

Lovely place for a snack or main meal, and the cakes / desserts are divine. It includes a little museum explaining the history of the area and some great old photos. It was a little chilly inside when we visited on a cold winter's day, but still a very pleasant experience.

We’ve drove past here a couple of times and yesterday decided to give it a go!! We were not disappointed!! Beautiful relaxing ambience, amazing food, excellent staff, super clean facilities and reasonably priced. Vicky was very helpful and friendly and couldn’t do enough for us! There was also an information centre with the history of Stoney Middleton displayed! Will definitely be coming back!! Highly recommended!

We’ve just had another fortnight at Druridge Bay and so visiting The Drift Cafe was a regular activity. As usual it was fantastic, the food is excellent, the staff so warm and friendly we can’t fault it. To the people giving bad reviews based on the price, you really need to get out more as their prices are normal and reasonable. To the people giving bad reviews based on surly and unfriendly staff, I’m afraid that says more about you than it does about them. You get what you project perhaps if you go in there a little less demanding and entitled people would be friendlier to you, think about it.

Excellent place at the beach. Parking can be limited but plenty seats and tables inside. Food was way above what I was expecting and service from the lady was above and beyond what you normally get at most places. Food was perfectly cooked and quality of ingredients was high. They also have a toilet here as well. Would definitely come back again. Well run and clean place.

We've been meaning to visit for a while now but tend to go further up to druridge. Had a lovely walk on the beach, then popped over the road to have lunch. Really enjoyed our visit....food great....other half really enjoyed his vegetable broth and my cheese toasty and salad really tasty. Very dog friendly which is a bonus. Staff friendly and efficient....served by a canny young lass and then Ian cleared our table as we were leaving....we had a good chat with him. We'll definitely be returning!

Lovely setting and well maintained in the inside. Food and coffee are amazing. One point to consider; the sign about your card-charges. Take it down, these charges are a tax deduction against your income, plus all your bank charges. Maybe you should get rid of card payments all together if it’s causing an issue. At the end of the day, it’s the cost of doing business and these charges are already worked into your costs.

Had tea and cake here recently. As usual, the service was friendly, and the food and drink were excellent. I have visited many times and would highly recommend it. Called in again in August and had this lovely coffee and pecan cake. Added some Valentine cake photos for February 2024. 13th October 2024 had tea and apple pie delicious! November 2024 and the café is decorated for Christmas, seasonal cakes await, and 'spicy parsnip soup'. The staff are as friendly as ever, a warm atmosphere awaits....

Enjoyed a delicious latte on the porch area in a peaceful park with local people going about their day, taking in the sites. I didn't have food but the cakes looked amazing! Friendly staff plenty of food options.

What an absolute little gem! We were staying in the Peak District and wanted to find a place for breakfast on our way home so stopped in Chesterfield. Absolutely gorgeous cafe/restaurant! Wonderful vibe. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great choice on the menu. The pancakes were divine! High quality food. Got busy quickly so clearly it's a great place to eat. The cake selection was hard to resist! Highly recommend

Nice chill Cafe with great food and back yard. We had a fabulous family lunch time there. I would love to go back again. One small thing,it is quite sad to get only one scone in the plate only. Most of the place we went,they come with two scones.

Really lovely, cozy cafe - I really loved the atmosphere. There were a good range of options and portion sizes avaliable, and the food was delicious! I had the vegetarian lasagne on the lunch menu which came with garlic bread and a salad. There were a good range of veggie and vegan meals. The staff were all really friendly
