Key broke off in the lock, so I gave them a call and spoke to an ACTUAL human being, rather than an automated machine voice, so off to a good start already. Gal arrived in under 30 minutes and was very friendly and professional, carrying out the work to a high standard. Fixed the issue in five minutes. Highly recommended.

GB Lock & Key Locksmiths great service, highly recommend them! Gave them a call and they managed to book us the very next day! We had them replace our door handle and door mechanism. Gal responded quickly and was very helpful when my door lock failed to open and I found myself stuck outside of my house. He arrived within the hour, got me into the house and helpfully sent the information about what he had done and his recommendations for a long term fix so that I could take them to my landlord. Would happily recommend him!

The steering crook lock on my car would not unlock and the key was stuck in the lock, therefore the car was going nowhere. I made various telephone calls to breakdown services, garages, locksmiths, even the lock manufacturer but to no avail. I was informed by my niece to try Barkers and what a refreshing phone call that was. Geoff understood my problem, came within three hours, was friendly, polite, professional efficient and he solved the problem in no time. Great reliable service at a fair price. We recently moved to Belper and George from Greenstone changed our ancient front door lock, meticulously repairing the excess space left by the modern fittings so we can paint it. Looks good as new. An absolutely perfect job and we now have British Standard locks which will bring down our insurance premium. He also installed thumb bolts so we can get out safely should any emergency arise. Being in a very old cottage, this has made us feel much safer. If you want a perfectionist who respects your property and is really lovely, we highly recommend Greenstone. We also popped into the shop on King Street and had extra keys cut for the family. Brilliant job.

Visited the Allenton store with a friends watch that had had a battery change elsewhere and now couldn't be wound after the clocks went back. Very good quality key cutting for car keys, they have done 6 sets of keys for 4 cars which one was a new case. The others I bought decent cases of eBay and they cut them and I swapped over the internals. No issues at all with the keys working in the locks and they were all friendly and great prices. I only did 2 out of emergency really but since they were great I followed up buy doing the others since the other 2 cars are 07 and 08 so the original Vauxhall fobs were collapsing on the buttons making them hard to use. Not now, all my cars have as new fobs :)

I had to cancel Alan’s visit three times but he was still happy to do the work for me on the fourth occasion! As others have said, a Master Locksmith and worth every penny. Alan saved me! My key snapped in a safe. 7 locksmiths looked at my key and said no chance. 2 tried to do it and failed. Alan was recommended to break the lock, told me he thinks he could cut the key and he did. He could’ve easily not done that and come and drilled the lock and charged me multiple figures more than he did by cutting the key! Cannot recommend him enough. He’s clearly a specialist in his field and on top of that, he has integrity and that is hard to come by! I will now only use Alan for any cutting/lock/safe issues going forward
