We have just used The Hidden Hive for our daughters wedding and am pleased to say it was an amazing day. The venue itself is beautiful with loads of space all in your private area. Dani who is event manager really knows her stuff and as such made everything about the day easy. This venue is defo worth a visit if your planning an event and can guarantee it definitely has the WOW factor.

Wow wow wow !! I recently photographed a wedding here and secretly fell in love with this venue!! It is the most gorgeous setting for you to do your wedding in your way. The ceremony room is stunning and the tipis for your reception are just beautiful and in the middle of the most gorgeous grounds!! It’s a gem of a wedding venue !!

The Hidden Hive will forever be a special place for us and the help from all involved at the venue really allowed us to make it our day. No request was too much and solutions were always given if there was anything that couldn't be done. The venue itself is beautiful even on an overcast spring day. Having the ceremony and reception all at one site really allowed for the place to become apart of the day. The venue allowed us to bring a number of personal touches to the day, on top of the 5 cars full of decorations we did ourselves, we had multiple classic cars displayed, a tandem bicycle, doves, and alpacas! The venue assisted with the band we had on our day and the caterers and bar team were all top notch. Everyone working felt a part of the day which gave a great atmosphere to which we couldn't have had without!

I recently photographed a wedding at this venue and highly recommend it. Tucked away in the countryside with a picturesque lake onsite, it boasts a beautiful ceremony room where the sides can be removed during summer and fantastic teepees for the reception.

Cracking converted Mill House gives up some lovely photo opportunities, especially in the evening with the late sunshine. Perfect place to start a walk across the toll bridge into Darley Park.

What a beautiful and unique venue! We could not have asked for more for our wedding day. Everything was fantastic from all the support planning to the on the day support and pack down, it all ran incredibly smoothly. We were also so impressed with the onsite accommodation. Our daughter got married in June 2024 and we were very fortunate to have been recommended Jess by Kate from our marquee company (Special Event Tipis and Marquees). We had got quite far along the DIY planning route when I realised as MOB that I wanted to be able to enjoy the wedding day and the build up to it without being overwhelmed with everything. My husband was quite sceptical at first about why we needed a coordinator as we had everything booked. This was mainly because he hadn't quite grasped what was involved, but after meeting Jess he was onboard 110% and he, like the rest of us, thinks she is fantastic and money well spent. We engaged Jess for her 'on the day management' but this is truly much, much more than just 'on the day' management and is an absolute MUST if you are having a marquee wedding. She is an experienced professional who has a very calm approach to everything. She stepped in 6 weeks before the wedding and from then on we knew we were in safe hands. She gave us much needed advice on a whole host of things and made everything run smoothly. She expertly coordinated with all our suppliers - of which there were many and all of whom were brilliant! She and her team (hello & thank you to the other Jesses) came the day before the wedding and set up the marquee. We went along to give a hand, but she had everything covered. She even had a kettle & made us all a cuppa! They came to the church rehearsal and then went back to the marquee to continue with the set up which enabled me able to spend time with my daughter and our family and friends, stress free, the night before the wedding, which is something which I would not have been able to do without her being onboard. Unfortunately, the weather on the day wasn't great . After glorious sunshine the day before, in true Lake District style, it rained on the day. We were so confident and comfortable with Jess's advice that we trusted her to her to make the last minute decision if the drinks reception would be inside or outside. She, together with Fran from Holker Hall, managed this beautifully and our guests have said that they were quite pleased it rained as it enabled them to have a look around the beautiful Holker Hall. Jess and her team were very professional and at the same time warm and friendly and it genuinely comes across how much they love their work. We had the most fantastic & fun wedding party and all our guests have said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. I do believe we had the dream team of suppliers. If you're wondering "do I really need a wedding planner?" the answer is no - you don't need just a wedding planner, YOU NEED JESS! The easiest ever 5 stars. Jess was phenomenal - you will not find a safer pair of hands for the biggest day of your life! BEFORE WEDDING DAY We thought we could do it all but we were so SO wrong. 16mths before our big day we realised that wedding planning is someone's profession for a REASON & opted to find an 'on the day' planner since most of our vendors were already booked. My biggest regret is not getting Jess on board from the outset! We spoke with a number of wedding planners & at the end of back-to-back initial meetings, we didn't even need to discuss who the best fit was - it was obviously Jess. Jess was, of course, kind & congratulatory & immediately easy to get on with, but she was also focused & able to demonstrate her ability to deliver our dream day from the very first moments of meeting her. We knew that she would have everything in hand! Jess was our go to whenever we had a wobble or a question or needed to soundboard something. Nothing was too much & she always responded quickly & with results! She put us at ease every step of the way. The thing with wedding planning is that you don't know what you don't know, & that is where Jess is essential. She won't just people please - she'll give you honest advice/opinions to ensure your day runs smoothly & in line with your vision, & she will quickly identify any issues or gaps & will have solutions before you can even ask! ON THE DAY Knowing Jess was going to be there put us at ease in the lead up. On the day we both said that booking Jess was the best decision we made on MULTIPLE occasions! Nothing was an issue, she had everything under control, & had solutions to any issues without us even knowing there'd been an issue. There was literally not one thing we had to worry about on the day. Ultimately, Jess was both a friendly face on the day putting us at ease & also the most proficient organiser I've ever seen. She took command, made sure everything/everyone was where they needed to be, & did so in the kindest & most professional way without so much as breaking a sweat. She makes EVERYTHING look effortless! By the end of the day, we were devastated that she was leaving after having delivered our dream wedding day which, due to her sheer effort & skill, far exceeded our expectations & frankly blew us out the water. TIPS 1 - Don't book any old wedding planner, BOOK JESS! And do it sooner than later - don't be me, you can't do it all! 2 - If you're having a multi-day wedding, particularly with a pre-party, book Jess! We didn't & when it came to bite me in the backside she was there at the drop of a hat & sorted EVERYTHING out. Massive regret not just booking her from the outset! 3 - Communicate! Jess is incredible but she's not a mind reader, & she got to know us so well so that she could deliver the exact right aesthetic & atmosphere on the day. 4 - Trust Jess implicitly. There is a reason this is her profession. She delivers flawless weddings week in, week out. If you hand over the reins, you will NOT be disappointed! OVERALL Jess is one of the most organised people you will ever meet & you'll rarely have a question that she hasn't already thought of & answered - she goes above & beyond! She is also so incredibly kind & we like to think over the past couple of years has become a real friend, something we are so grateful for. Our day was flawless & it was entirely down to Jess. As a very indecisive and unorganised couple, we needed help so put our trust in Jess. Choosing Jess as our wedding planner was the best decision we ever made and enabled us to have the wedding of our dreams! Jess is so professional, organised and knowledgeable in every single department and we are so glad we hired Jess so early on in the planning. My husband and I got married in July 2024, and utilised Jess’ on the day wedding coordination package - but what her and her team give you is so so much more than that! We booked a venue which required lots of different suppliers (separate caterer, bar company, linen hire, port-a-loos etc….) and in the run up to it I said to my husband that I really wanted someone I could hand everything over to in advance so I could enjoy the run up and not be worrying about coordinating everything! Luckily, I’d met Jess at an event before we were even engaged and so she was the first person I went to for this help. And I am SO glad we did! She goes above and beyond for you to make sure your day is special and runs smoothly. I’ll never forget that I’d planned to tie the tags onto our favours the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids, only to turn up and for them to have already been done by Jess and her team without even needing to have asked. We had drinks “tokens” to hand out to our evening guests and I went to ask Jess for these in the evening to hand them out, again to find that they’d taken care of it already. They were one step ahead always on the little details, and knowing there was someone we could go to on the day if needed (rather than people coming to me or the wedding party) was truly invaluable. After our wedding I asked my partner what’s the one “non negotiable” you’d recommend to other couples planning a wedding like ours and we both agreed that it would be Jess and her team. The main thing that appealed to us with Carlo was his ability to offer more than one service. He was our photographer and videographer and DJ.....he also offered drone footage which we liked the thought of. Carlo works very hard and tries to please everyone. I would have preferred more time with him prior to our wedding day but I appreciate he's very busy. We're happy with the service provided for the cost we paid. At time of writing this we have saw some teaser photos which we're happy with. We hope to receive all our photos and videos in a week or so. I would recommend Carlo to others.

We rented our table runners, serviettes, place mats, wooden slices and cake stand from These Two Only. Laura was determined to get the absolute perfect colour to match our scheme, and she outdid herself! They matched perfectly, and our tables looked incredible. They were so easy to communicate with, especially as I kept changing my mind (sorry!), and suggested different pieces that I hadn't even thought of, but worked brilliantly with my vision. I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!

Lavinia and her brilliant team at Blackbrook House will provide you with the most unique and intimate wedding experience possible. When it came to choosing our venue we didn't want any kind of out of the box experience, simply picking and choosing from different packages, be it food, drink or decor/theme. Being the food- and wine lovers we are, we wanted to be sure that none of our guests would be anything less than amazed. We also wanted advice and someone, who could take our ideas and transform them to perfection. Add to that, had we a house big enough, we would have loved to have a wedding at home - it was supposed to feel like our space on the day, and it did! Blackbrook House was the only venue that was prepared to take on this challenge and exceeded our expectations when delivering more than we could have ever wished for. The venue is warm, homely, welcoming and simply a lovely place to be. In the many meetings we had with Lavinia, she was always one step ahead of us in terms of how our ideas could work and be put into reality. The decor was simple and understated, yet stunning. Steve excelled at delivering a truly spectacular meal, which the whole wedding party loved sharing in and made the day both formal and comfortably casual at the same time. On your special day you need to feel certain, that everything will run smoothly and without haste. Kenny ensures exactly that. His team of servers are both omnipresent, yet nowhere to be seen. Finally - if anything should go not quite as planned on the day, the team behind will fix it! We could go on forever, but hopefully we have said enough!

My husband and I were so pleased with how Sam styled the venue for our wedding ceremony and evening reception. From the day I contacted her to discuss about ideas that I had prior to the wedding, she was so helpful, patient and professional. Whenever I had any questions, she was friendly, approachable and responding to me very quickly. We'd highly recommend Willow and Rust weddings to any couples! We had so many compliments from our guests. She created beautiful centrepieces and backdrops. As we had our ceremony, drinks reception and evening reception at the same venue, she was happy to come back to the venue to rearrange all the decors and discussed everything with the venue staffs so we didn't need to worry about anything. Samantha is an incredibly talented wedding venue decorator! We cannot recommend her enough! We loved that we could go for an eco-friendly way to decorate our venue, there is no way we would be able to comfortably fit 60 glass vintage vases and 100 candlesticks in our own home!! I really love her sustainable approach to styling weddings. Samantha tailored our venue style to suit us and worked with us to bring our vision of our wedding to life. Our venue was transformed into a rustic vintage woodland, with lots of gorgeous fabrics, beautiful golden candlesticks (all child safe LED lights) and beautiful glass pieces. On the day of the wedding, she worked so quickly putting everything together. Having her as our stylist took so much stress out of our big day, she managed all the decoration, styling, set up and packing up next the day. It really makes such a big difference! As we had to pack up our own stuff (in such a tiny car!), manage other wedding tasks, and get ourselves down to the venue. Samantha did an amazing job, and everything looked so beautiful and elegant. Thank you so much for creating such a gorgeous wedding for us!

We booked Derbyshire Wedding Events for our wedding in September. We had Carlo as our photographer for the day. He is such a down to earth person and interacted very well we the bridal party as we were getting ready and also the groom and the guests. We had lots of fun with him taking random photos that you wouldn't even think of! We were laughing all day with him. We really couldn't have asked for a better photographer, we've had the photos back already after only 6 weeks, they are beautiful we are very impressed. His communication throughout put us at ease too, lots of my guests commented on how good he was and I must say very good value for money too. Will highly recommend! Breathtakingly Beautiful… Emily & Fran did all of our styling & floristry. The flowers were truly out of this world beautiful. The colours were just beautiful. Emily & Fran spent so much time & effort creating everything for our wedding day at Thorpe Gardens. I remember walking down the aisle and thinking wow … I can’t actually believe how amazing this all is.
