From the moment we walked in, we were amazed by how beautiful Haarlem Mill is. It was the perfect blend of stylish and cosy, with its dramatic industrial backdrop and modern touches that suited our tastes perfectly. It has every room you’d want for a wedding all in one location, and as we got married in February, having plenty of space indoors for guests was hugely beneficial. The quality of the mill is only matched by its incredible staff. Shannon (the wedding coordinator) was invaluable throughout the planning stages: she addressed every question we had leading up to the event, providing advice, reassurance, and support whenever we needed her. On the day, she was exceptional; we were told weddings were stressful, but thanks to Shannon we didn’t feel any of it. No matter when we needed her, or what we needed her for, Shannon was there to support us and we cannot thank her enough. The catering was also wonderful. They went above and beyond for all dietary requirements and made sure that every single guest had food which was delicious, beautiful, and memorable. We were so impressed with the quality and wish we could eat there each week. If you want a beautiful wedding, outstanding staff, and fantastic food, book your wedding at Haarlem Mill.

As soon as we walked in to Haarlem Mill we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The aesthetic is just absolutely beautiful, and the service is incredible. Shannon made planning our wedding super easy and orderly. We used Haarlem for our reception, the staff were excellent meeting us at the door with drinks and canapés. The food was to die for, absolutely incredible. The food and drinks are all locally sourced which is such a nice touch and something we really appreciated. After viewing a few wedding venues we chose Haarlem Mill because we loved the industrial mill itself, it was great value for money and Shannon was so helpful. The venue on the day of our wedding looked perfect and we were able to include everything we wanted to, like our dog which was really important to us. We had so many compliments from our guests about the venue, the food and Shannon. We can’t thank Shannon enough for all the help from our first meeting to the wedding day and even after. She made the day flow so well and couldn’t do enough for us, it took all the stress off of us and allowed us to really enjoy the day. We couldn’t recommend Haarlem enough to any couples looking to book their special day.

We got married at Haarlem Mill in August 2024. It was the fourth venue that we viewed and we knew as soon as we walked in that it was for us! The decor is a mixture of rustic and modern and the venue is already dressed to such a beautiful standard that very little extra decoration needed adding on our wedding day. All the added extras such as festoon lighting and foliage in the ceiling ladders are included in your the hire price (which is already super reasonable!) along with the so much more decor the team offer to you when setting up for your day. We were worried about picking a venue that would pressure us for decisions and need to be in constant contact & Haarlem Mill really is the opposite of that. Shannon is the friendliest and most knowledgeable wedding co ordinator who was able to offer us help advice whenever we needed it. She ensured the year planning our day was stress free, and organised a lovely evening where we could taste potential menu options. A separate ceremony room & reception room was important to us and Haarlem Mill offered us this along with a lovely bar area outdoor terrace which we were able to take advantage of on our day! There is an extensive list of food to choose from and the catering team are very flexible so let you pick from different menus, plus will try to accommodate any extras you wish to add into your menu. The food & drink on our day were both fabulous! Thank you to Shannon & the amazing team at Haarlem Mill for helping us plan our day, and also ensuring it ran smoothly! Samantha is an incredibly talented wedding venue decorator! We cannot recommend her enough! We loved that we could go for an eco-friendly way to decorate our venue, there is no way we would be able to comfortably fit 60 glass vintage vases and 100 candlesticks in our own home!! I really love her sustainable approach to styling weddings. Samantha tailored our venue style to suit us and worked with us to bring our vision of our wedding to life. Our venue was transformed into a rustic vintage woodland, with lots of gorgeous fabrics, beautiful golden candlesticks (all child safe LED lights) and beautiful glass pieces. On the day of the wedding, she worked so quickly putting everything together. Having her as our stylist took so much stress out of our big day, she managed all the decoration, styling, set up and packing up next the day. It really makes such a big difference! As we had to pack up our own stuff (in such a tiny car!), manage other wedding tasks, and get ourselves down to the venue. Samantha did an amazing job, and everything looked so beautiful and elegant. My husband and I were so pleased with how Sam styled the venue for our wedding ceremony and evening reception. From the day I contacted her to discuss about ideas that I had prior to the wedding, she was so helpful, patient and professional. Whenever I had any questions, she was friendly, approachable and responding to me very quickly. We'd highly recommend Willow and Rust weddings to any couples! We had so many compliments from our guests. She created beautiful centrepieces and backdrops. As we had our ceremony, drinks reception and evening reception at the same venue, she was happy to come back to the venue to rearrange all the decors and discussed everything with the venue staffs so we didn't need to worry about anything. Dominique was brilliant!!!! from meeting us at the venue a few months prior, to the morning of the wedding and even after, Dominique was great. She really listened to everything we wanted (and helped us along the way when we didn't have a clue :)) The ceremony room and the reception room looked absolutely stunning!! and at the end of the night she spoke with us asking how the day had gone whilst helping to clear everything away! We used White Petal for our wedding near Christmas 2024. They were a great lot to deal with and we always had quick responses to any questions or ideas we had. They dressed the ceremony room which included the chair covers, bows, candles, petals etc as well the evening venue room with all the table decorations, candles, wreaths and Christmas bits dotted around. We also hired the giant love letters for the dance floor.

We paid most of our wedding costs some 11/12 months before it took place on May 30th 2023. But we had neglected room decoration, had not even thought about it until the manager of the reception venue asked who had we hired. So, we did a little research and were taken aback a little at how much these things cost. However, it was no contest really, White Petal easily topped our list, and are certainly not the most expensive. Dominique worked with us and was full of ideas to guide us. The room on the day, exceeded all of our expectations, and was worth every penny. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was, and the Hydrangea wall was a lovely touch that made for some beautiful photos. If we could do it all again (10th anniversary maybe?), then we wouldn't hesitate to hire Dominique and her team again. Thank you so much x

We can’t thank you enough for how incredible you made our venue look on our wedding day. The whole place looked absolutely stunning and you brought our vision to life then exceeded it! From the bigger pieces including the flower arch to the finer details - everything looked perfect. Cracking converted Mill House gives up some lovely photo opportunities, especially in the evening with the late sunshine. Perfect place to start a walk across the toll bridge into Darley Park.

What a beautiful and unique venue! We could not have asked for more for our wedding day. Everything was fantastic from all the support planning to the on the day support and pack down, it all ran incredibly smoothly. We were also so impressed with the onsite accommodation. We had Carlo and his wife do our wedding day, we had photos and video of the whole day. They got every little detail and I’m so happy I picked this package with them. I can’t thank them both enough we have such amazing photos and watching the video is like reliving the day again! The lead up to the wedding Carlo was always at hand whenever I needed to ask something he was there and helped guide us throughout it all. We also had the pre wedding photoshoot which was also amazing and we even used one of the photos for our newspapers for the big day! I can’t recommend them enough not even just the photos but as people you really are lovely and so down to earth.. and this is exactly what you need and want in someone for your big day. We had so many guests complimenting the “photographers” saying how lovely they was and how much fun they was having. We booked Carlo for our wedding in August 2022. We had previously been let down by two other photographers who turned out to be sub contracting our wedding day and acting as a middle man...something we did not sign up to. The main thing that appealed to us with Carlo was his ability to offer more than one service. He was our photographer and videographer and DJ.....he also offered drone footage which we liked the thought of. Carlo works very hard and tries to please everyone. I would have preferred more time with him prior to our wedding day but I appreciate he's very busy. We're happy with the service provided for the cost we paid. At time of writing this we have saw some teaser photos which we're happy with. We hope to receive all our photos and videos in a week or so. I would recommend Carlo to others.

Bespoke Weddings have really helped us out, our wedding would have never have happened so soon without them and the competition. From the initial meeting with Maria she has been very supportive with our situation and helpful with us going ahead with the wedding in 6 months time which is very encouraging. We've never felt any pressure to go ahead with the competition or other options given but it's nice they support local companies. I would recommend anyone to apply to the competitions as it could save you a huge amount and get you married sooner than you ever expected and change your life!

Review From the moment we got the call to say we had won round one of the wedding competition to the moment we woke up as husband and wife, Maria and Bespoke have been incredible. There is so much press on how stressful planning a wedding is but for us it has been the opposite, in fact it was rather a magical experience and we only had just over 4 months to get it all done! Maria was there on the day and made sure we had everything we needed and throughout the day she made sure we were happy, she was amazing and it was a blessing to have her as part of our day. We hired Tor to help with our wedding in July and really cannot thank or recommend her enough. Our wedding was held at our family farm, and whilst this seemed like a great idea, we also had so many possibilities of things going wrong on the day. As soon as we had Tor’s input into the wedding, she gave us every bit of confidence that the day would run as beautifully as it did. From the week leading up to the wedding, all of our suppliers couldn’t believe how relaxed I was and this was definitely thanks to Tor. Tor was there at all hours to answer any questions, help me make decisions, and make suggestions that I definitely wouldn’t have thought of (without being annoying ha!). On the day of the wedding I was able to have such a lovely morning with the bridal party, and throughout the day knew everything was being taken care of which resulted in being able to actually enjoy our wedding day without any stress (which a lot of couples don’t get to do). Tor is such a lovely person and so easy to get on with, even if it wasn’t wedding chat we would still have a laugh.. we had so many comments from guests about how incredible our wedding was, how smooth the day went, and how fab Tor was behind the scenes. We have said from the start, hiring Tor was the best decision we made…we are also convinced she could plan a wedding on Mount Everest and it run smoothly. We hired Victoria for the wedding day management for our wedding, and I can't say enough positive words. Even from the start during our intro call, to coordinating with vendors, to the final day wedding celebration, she exceeded our expectations. As a wedding videographer, I wish every wedding I captured had a Victoria! Having someone like Victoria to go to with questions and check ins made the day run so much smoother than I’m used to!
