We booked Make It Special Events for our wedding last August. I’d shopped around for a venue dresser and Make It Special were competitive and recommended by our wedding venue, Mythe Barn. I’m reviewing Instagram it was clear that they were regularly at the venue and knew how to create a beautiful setting. I’m quite a detailed person and had a very specific idea of exactly what I wanted - however after time working with Jo and Wendy on the proposal I had so much trust in their creative vision and eye for detail that I was open to their ideas and suggestions. Prior to the wedding day itself they created a mock-up of the table setting at their site in Atherstone. This was so useful as it gave me the opportunity to see in advance exactly how things would look and make changes. I know I’m biased but what they did on the day I believe to be one of the most beautiful settings I’ve seen at Mythe Barn. It was so classy and elegant and exactly what I’d wanted, if not better! Jo and Wendy are an absolute dream to work with - they are so hard working and have amazing creativity and attention to detail. I cannot recommend them highly enough - book them, you won’t regret it!

I cannot recommend and thank Wendy and Jo enough for their help throughout my wedding decor planning and then bringing my vision to life on the day! Despite my indecisiveness, they were so patient with me and advised on what works well together, making the process so much easier. I chose Jenny and Rachel to be my wedding venue stylist and Florist knowing they would do an incredible job however what I received on the day BLEW ME AWAY- absolutely stunning throughout from the chair sashes, wooden arches to the candles to the flowers and foliage. We had Carlo and his wife do our wedding day, we had photos and video of the whole day. They got every little detail and I’m so happy I picked this package with them. I can’t thank them both enough we have such amazing photos and watching the video is like reliving the day again! The lead up to the wedding Carlo was always at hand whenever I needed to ask something he was there and helped guide us throughout it all. We also had the pre wedding photoshoot which was also amazing and we even used one of the photos for our newspapers for the big day! I can’t recommend them enough not even just the photos but as people you really are lovely and so down to earth.. and this is exactly what you need and want in someone for your big day. We had so many guests complimenting the “photographers” saying how lovely they was and how much fun they was having. We booked Derbyshire Wedding Events for our wedding in September. We had Carlo as our photographer for the day. He is such a down to earth person and interacted very well we the bridal party as we were getting ready and also the groom and the guests. We had lots of fun with him taking random photos that you wouldn't even think of! We were laughing all day with him. We really couldn't have asked for a better photographer, we've had the photos back already after only 6 weeks, they are beautiful we are very impressed. His communication throughout put us at ease too, lots of my guests commented on how good he was and I must say very good value for money too. Will highly recommend! We booked Carlo for our wedding in August 2022. We had previously been let down by two other photographers who turned out to be sub contracting our wedding day and acting as a middle man...something we did not sign up to. The main thing that appealed to us with Carlo was his ability to offer more than one service. He was our photographer and videographer and DJ.....he also offered drone footage which we liked the thought of. Carlo works very hard and tries to please everyone. I would have preferred more time with him prior to our wedding day but I appreciate he's very busy. We're happy with the service provided for the cost we paid. At time of writing this we have saw some teaser photos which we're happy with. We hope to receive all our photos and videos in a week or so. I would recommend Carlo to others.

Our daughter got married in June 2024 and we were very fortunate to have been recommended Jess by Kate from our marquee company (Special Event Tipis and Marquees). We had got quite far along the DIY planning route when I realised as MOB that I wanted to be able to enjoy the wedding day and the build up to it without being overwhelmed with everything. My husband was quite sceptical at first about why we needed a coordinator as we had everything booked. This was mainly because he hadn't quite grasped what was involved, but after meeting Jess he was onboard 110% and he, like the rest of us, thinks she is fantastic and money well spent. We engaged Jess for her 'on the day management' but this is truly much, much more than just 'on the day' management and is an absolute MUST if you are having a marquee wedding. She is an experienced professional who has a very calm approach to everything. She stepped in 6 weeks before the wedding and from then on we knew we were in safe hands. She gave us much needed advice on a whole host of things and made everything run smoothly. She expertly coordinated with all our suppliers - of which there were many and all of whom were brilliant! She and her team (hello & thank you to the other Jesses) came the day before the wedding and set up the marquee. We went along to give a hand, but she had everything covered. She even had a kettle & made us all a cuppa! They came to the church rehearsal and then went back to the marquee to continue with the set up which enabled me able to spend time with my daughter and our family and friends, stress free, the night before the wedding, which is something which I would not have been able to do without her being onboard. Unfortunately, the weather on the day wasn't great . After glorious sunshine the day before, in true Lake District style, it rained on the day. We were so confident and comfortable with Jess's advice that we trusted her to her to make the last minute decision if the drinks reception would be inside or outside. She, together with Fran from Holker Hall, managed this beautifully and our guests have said that they were quite pleased it rained as it enabled them to have a look around the beautiful Holker Hall. Jess and her team were very professional and at the same time warm and friendly and it genuinely comes across how much they love their work. We had the most fantastic & fun wedding party and all our guests have said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. I do believe we had the dream team of suppliers. As a very indecisive and unorganised couple, we needed help so put our trust in Jess. Choosing Jess as our wedding planner was the best decision we ever made and enabled us to have the wedding of our dreams! Jess is so professional, organised and knowledgeable in every single department and we are so glad we hired Jess so early on in the planning. Jess has a wealth of amazing contacts and was always available to support us through the process. She is extremely hands on and provided a service that was worth every penny. Her and her team were phenomenal on the day and made sure everything went perfectly - she is also just a lovely person to spend time with whilst organising our big day! My husband and I got married in July 2024, and utilised Jess’ on the day wedding coordination package - but what her and her team give you is so so much more than that! We booked a venue which required lots of different suppliers (separate caterer, bar company, linen hire, port-a-loos etc….) and in the run up to it I said to my husband that I really wanted someone I could hand everything over to in advance so I could enjoy the run up and not be worrying about coordinating everything! Luckily, I’d met Jess at an event before we were even engaged and so she was the first person I went to for this help. And I am SO glad we did! She goes above and beyond for you to make sure your day is special and runs smoothly. I’ll never forget that I’d planned to tie the tags onto our favours the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids, only to turn up and for them to have already been done by Jess and her team without even needing to have asked. We had drinks “tokens” to hand out to our evening guests and I went to ask Jess for these in the evening to hand them out, again to find that they’d taken care of it already. They were one step ahead always on the little details, and knowing there was someone we could go to on the day if needed (rather than people coming to me or the wedding party) was truly invaluable. After our wedding I asked my partner what’s the one “non negotiable” you’d recommend to other couples planning a wedding like ours and we both agreed that it would be Jess and her team. I know my sister is also recommending her to friends who are getting married soon too as she was equally impressed by her! Jess and her team were amazing, they were friendly and so, so organised. Jess helped make the lead-up to our wedding run seamlessly, which meant we didn’t have all the stress of sorting everything out. As she is a wedding expert, she gave us great tips and advice about how best to set out our day, we wouldn’t have had a clue otherwise! On the day of our wedding, everything ran to time and went perfectly and she was a very calming presence for my husband when he was getting a bit stressed out. It was like a professional production and we could just relax and enjoy ourselves - we even forgot they were there sometimes! We would highly recommended hiring Jess to coordinate your wedding, it’s a no brainer really, you can have an amazing well-put together wedding and no stress!

Wow! Lesley took my vision and turned it into reality!! The flowers and decoration was better than I could ever have imagined - absolutely insane!! We were absolutely blown away by the flowers Lesley and her team created, not to mention the tables and decor they did - it really did make the day incredible!!

My husband and I booked with the Rustic Wedding Company for the flowers & venue styling for our wedding a few weeks ago at Dodford Manor Barn and we would 100% recommend them! Lesley & her team are so professional and talented in every aspect of what they do, bringing such a breadth of knowledge which made the planning process that much easier. The communication before the day was amazing, with regular emails, a zoom consultation and an in person appointment at their showroom. All of this together made us super comfortable that everything was going to be exactly as we dreamt our wedding would be. The in person appointment we had was the most helpful to us as I was worried about how everything would look together, but Lesley made & remade (and remade) our show table until we were entirely happy with it. She was so accommodating to my indecisiveness throughout, inputting her expert opinions where necessary. On the wedding day itself, the bouquets, buttonholes & corsages were delivered to Dodford Grange before the team headed to the venue to do the rest of the setup. The flowers were beyond anything I could have imagined, so much so that I got my bridal bouquet preserved after the wedding because I just couldn’t bear to watch it die! The venue setup was completely seamless and again, beyond my wildest hopes. Everything was utter perfection in every way. We had a mixture of hired & our own decorations and team rustic set it all up, moved things between the ceremony and breakfast and then came back the next day to take it all down. They took away all of the potential stress, which was absolutely worth every penny! Thank you so much for styling us the most perfect day!

Lesley and the Rustic team did a full style for our wedding at Hothorpe the Woodlands, including all of our flowers and they were amazing! The team took our vision and made it a reality, they incorporated all of our themes perfectly in to the decor. Our guests could not stop talking about how incredible everything looked. My bouquet was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen and I've made the decision to preserve some of the flowers in glass so that I can keep part of it forever. From initial enquiry to the day of the wedding, to tidying up after, Lesley and the team were incredible. The showroom and pre wedding meetings made the experience so much smoother being able to see our visions come to life. On the day, we never even noticed the team running around and setting up, and they pivoted seamlessly when we had to emergency change the table plan due to illness. Had the most fantastic experience here last week for my daughters wedding. Everything from start to finish was unbelievable. From the setting of the wedding to the photos, food was amazing. Excellent all round from the staff in particular Tammy who have everything pinned down to the second.

Came here for a family wedding (surprise!) What a venue. Walked through the main doors into an open courtyard and then several reception rooms off the courtyard. Think it's 16th century from what I was told. Wooden beams everywhere and looks stunning. Everyone of the staff were 5 star from servers to bar staff..... Very polite and very helpful. We didn't stay overnight but saw a couple of the rooms which looked impeccable. Well thought out wedding venue and a great night to boot. Thank you all 👍💥👍

We got married at Swancar and it was the best decision we made. We viewed many venues but non were as spectacular as Swancar farm. We were lucky enough to have Rebecca as our wedding coordinator, from start to finish she was incredible. Her ability to coordinate, organise and arrange for our vision to come to life was amazing. Throughout our planning meetings Rebecca listened attentively, I felt reassured that the our special day was in good hands, nothing was ever too much of a problem. She really did take the stress away. The venue itself is stunning, from the stables, bridal suite, oak hall and breakfast area, we can’t fault a thing. All staff on the day were so friendly, lovely and attentive. The food was delicious, receiving many compliments from our guests. I had just been to a wedding here, and it was amazing. the staff and managers are so helpful. the ground looks great. The rooms look amazing. the food is the best I have had in long time. There is lots of parking. very posh venue 5* just a amazing place to have a wedding or go to a wedding. be nice to have a kids area I did not see one. the drive/road cud do with a passing area so you don't have to drive on the mud and a better signage on the main road but overall what a amazing place to get married thanks to all friendly staff I had a great time 😁 and wow the food 🤤

My partner and I got married at the West Mill on Saturday the 6th of July and it was nothing short of incredible. Everything went absolutely perfectly and I cannot fault anything from start to finish with our wedding. From initial conversations to the day itself, the staff were incredibly passionate and communicative with their approach. No questions were ever an issue, and the day went so smoothly. A.S. Party set up our wedding decor, providing table centre pieces and chair decoration. They helped us pick what would look good and came in to set it all up before the wedding. They made the venue look even more incredible than it already did. I would like to say a huge thank you to A S Party for making my Daughters wedding at the Fox and Goose on the 8th September very special, we had a couple of last minute changes for the evening, and they saved the day by finding, and playing a couple of very specific and slightly obscure songs, they also provided the disco for the evening which went well. I would highly recommend the Ice Cream bike, along with popcorn and candy floss, this went down extremely well with our guests. Excellent service very highly recommended.

Thank you for providing a memorable party for my daughter’s 21st. Disco, Kareoke and selfie booth. So professional, could not do enough to make our evening special. Took all the worry of needing to understand all the technology. I was going to just hire a Kareoke machine, I am so glad I didn’t. The night was just perfect. Would highly recommend!!
