The support from Justine and the team at Knockerdown wedding venue was first class in helping my daughter and new husband plan the perfect wedding day, and perfect it was. Nothing was too much trouble and were very supportive throughout without being in your face. The whole weekend was fantastic, and the cottages were spotlessly clean and furnished to the highest standard. Friends and family spent the whole weekend there and couldn't stop praising the whole event. Obviously, a lot was down the impeccable planning by the bride and groom (they had thought of EVERYTHING! down to the finest of details) and the massive support from Justine at the venue. If there had been an option to give this place a 10-star review, I would have done.

We had the most amazing wedding experience. From our initial viewing of the property to our final day packing up all our wedding things. Fiona couldn’t do enough to make sure our day was exactly how we wanted it. The most perfect place if you’re after a weekend wedding, all our guests really enjoyed the wedding and the whole experience. Thank you Fiona and the whole team at Knockerdown!!

Short review - if you’re thinking of booking Knockerdown for your wedding- do it! You will not regret it. From start to finish the service and support from Fiona and the rest of the team is outstanding. The venue is beautiful, and we had the best weekend ever. Long review- where do we begin? We visited the venue and fell in love straight away, the opportunity to have all our friends and family stay on site in beautiful self catering accommodation was one we could not miss. The cottages are so nice, homely & have all that you need. The Brackendale room where you can be married and/or have your wedding breakfast and evening reception is stunning. There’s so many facilities on site to use, including a games room and swimming pool. The views are stunning and there’s the opportunity to get married outside. I got ready in the Bonsall cottage and if you don’t have a large bridal party, this is an excellent space to get ready and then turns into the most beautiful honeymoon suite. The venue is a 10 out of 10, not one fault. In terms of Fiona and the team, they are outstanding. Everyone we came into contact with made us feel so important and relaxed, so friendly and professional. Fiona was amazing, from the moment we booked she has supported us with every choice, we put our complete trust in her as she’s so good at what she does. At no point did I ever feel stressed as I know she had it all in hand. We made full use of the venue for the whole weekend and had soooo many suppliers, so we made Fiona work- and it was seamless. We had a pie van and band on the Friday. Saturday was our wedding day and we had fish and chips, ice cream, pizza, DJ, Photo Booth, audio guestbook, live singer. Sunday we had a Greek van and a magician. So as you can see, we took full advantage of using this beautiful venue. We are so grateful for everything that Fiona did for us in ensuring all the suppliers ran smoothly. We couldn’t get married outside, which is what I desperately wanted but the way Fiona was so chilled and so reassuring just made me so at ease and just go with the flow, and now I’m so glad I got married in the Brackendale room as it’s stunning! Many of our guests have said that it’s the best wedding that they have been to and because it’s a DIY venue, they said it was so unique and different to any other wedding they’ve experienced. Having a wedding weekend instead of a wedding day is the way forward, we enjoyed every single minute. Book it - you will not regret! Fiona, you are an absolute gem. I had no worries on my wedding day at all. Not one bit. Everything, right down to the signs on the doors to the complimentary prosecco in our rooms was just amazing. Thank you all at Knockerdown for the best weekend ever, it feels like a dream that I want to live over and over again. If you're thinking about your wedding in Derbyshire, don't look anywhere else.

Naomi was fabulous! She was early and set a fantastic job creating a superb event. All my guests loved the luxe picnic. It set the perfect setting for my daughter’s birthday party.

My daughter had a lovely sleepover party with Pop up Party, right from booking through to delivery Naomi was so helpful. The tents are really pretty we had the boho type. I would highly recommend.

Mandy decorated our wedding venue, it’s looked perfect we couldn’t have been happier with anything. The service was next to none no question was ever silly. Would definitely recommend always and forever. We also used Mandy’s other business Ayup flower I was so happy with how the flowers turned out and will save them forever. Thank you Mandy!!

I chose Jenny and Rachel to be my wedding venue stylist and Florist knowing they would do an incredible job however what I received on the day BLEW ME AWAY- absolutely stunning throughout from the chair sashes, wooden arches to the candles to the flowers and foliage. Our experience so far has been great with Bespoke and can’t thank our wedding planner Nicole enough for her support. We never thought we’d hear anything back when entering the competition and then receiving a call to say we had won our venue costs for a venue of our dreams was amazing. We get married late 2026 but thanks to the quick responses from Nicole we have managed to secure the majority of our vendors through the competition at some amazing prices which has taken away so much stress so we can focus on the more sentimental details. Myself and my partner won on a bespoke wedding competition last month. Now we are all booked in to the beautiful haycock manor in Peterborough for our wedding next year! The discount and saving we have received on our big day through bespoke weddings competition has made it possible for us to have our big day the way we always wanted to without the massive bill. I also would highly recommend Maria Napper one wedding coordinator from bespoke wedding as she is so lovely, friendly and already has helped me so much and really listened to what I want but with the budget I have and she’s made it all possible couldn’t thank her enough. Review From the moment we got the call to say we had won round one of the wedding competition to the moment we woke up as husband and wife, Maria and Bespoke have been incredible. There is so much press on how stressful planning a wedding is but for us it has been the opposite, in fact it was rather a magical experience and we only had just over 4 months to get it all done! Maria was there on the day and made sure we had everything we needed and throughout the day she made sure we were happy, she was amazing and it was a blessing to have her as part of our day. Cracking converted Mill House gives up some lovely photo opportunities, especially in the evening with the late sunshine. Perfect place to start a walk across the toll bridge into Darley Park.

Never thought I'd perform for a wedding in a mill but I'm glad I did! I've performed here on the mill's very own grand piano, ideal for a wedding and the acoustics were fantastic. Back soon, Finn Barnaby (top UK pianist)

What a beautiful and unique venue! We could not have asked for more for our wedding day. Everything was fantastic from all the support planning to the on the day support and pack down, it all ran incredibly smoothly. We were also so impressed with the onsite accommodation. Everything had the wow factor. Massive thank you to our event manager Hayley, no question was too small and she was just fantastic xx

Dee is fab, we used her for our sweet cart and the table bowls with flowers, table runners I absolutely loved what she did which included a welcome to our wedding sign, when I saw the room. Every wedding fayre we went too she was awesome would absolutely recommend.

We can’t thank you enough for how incredible you made our venue look on our wedding day. The whole place looked absolutely stunning and you brought our vision to life then exceeded it! From the bigger pieces including the flower arch to the finer details - everything looked perfect. We’ve received so many lovely compliments on the decor and just wanted to say thank you so, so much for your incredible work! Dominique is so approachable, professional and you can tell how much she genuinely cares about the service she is delivering. 10/10 would recommend as an events stylist.

We paid most of our wedding costs some 11/12 months before it took place on May 30th 2023. But we had neglected room decoration, had not even thought about it until the manager of the reception venue asked who had we hired. So, we did a little research and were taken aback a little at how much these things cost. However, it was no contest really, White Petal easily topped our list, and are certainly not the most expensive. Dominique worked with us and was full of ideas to guide us. The room on the day, exceeded all of our expectations, and was worth every penny. Many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was, and the Hydrangea wall was a lovely touch that made for some beautiful photos. If we could do it all again (10th anniversary maybe?), then we wouldn't hesitate to hire Dominique and her team again. Thank you so much x

Dominique was brilliant!!!! from meeting us at the venue a few months prior, to the morning of the wedding and even after, Dominique was great. She really listened to everything we wanted (and helped us along the way when we didn't have a clue :)) The ceremony room and the reception room looked absolutely stunning!! and at the end of the night she spoke with us asking how the day had gone whilst helping to clear everything away!
