From the moment we viewed The Ashes, to the morning after the big day, we cannot fault the venue or the team for their support throughout. Our big day was nothing short of perfect thanks to our amazing wedding coordinator, Sarah - and if something did go wrong, we certainly had no idea. The venue itself is a hidden beauty, and we were fortunate enough to do our initial viewing on a lovely sunny day, which instantly told us we knew we would be making the right choice in booking The Ashes. From the grounds, the ceremony and wedding breakfast barns, to the Old Dairy Suite and the onsite accommodation, we genuinely couldn’t fault the venue or the team in the slightest. I think it would be fair to say, that as Jenkinsons are exclusively the caterers for The Ashes, we were a little apprehensive, however they exceeded ALL expectations, and the food was exceptional. If you’re worried that this could be an issue, you really shouldn’t be. Our wedding day was perfect, made possible only by the exceptional venue and incredible staff. Thank you!

We stayed here for my sisters Wedding on 23rd May. Francesca looked after us on the day as she was so helpful as were the rest of the team. The weather was not the best but the Ashes is so beautiful it didn't matter and the staff accommodated us having the reception drinks inside as it began to rain quickly! My husband and I stayed in the Coach House which was beautiful. Our whole stay was wonderful, Thank you

An absolutely stunning venue, with a great view of the country side. Had a February wedding here and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was really friendly and helpful and our event manager Helen made sure everything went exactly as planned. Giving 4 stars because you can not choose your own catering service and I can not recommend the in-house caterer Jenkinsons.

Wow, what a place! They kept the drinks flowing, food brought out, tables cleared and all of the staff were polite. Thank you to Katie for topping my glass up 😂. As others have said, the grounds are stunning with the added bonus of Highland cows in the field. Great service goes along way, and your team did a fantastic job!

The best decor company in the UK. They went above and beyond for my reception decor, dealt with my indecisiveness for months, advised me on what would look best and allowed me to make my own changes making the arrangements bespoke, to reflect my colour scheme. They provided me with extras and transformed the room, making it look so grand. I would fully recommend peekaboo and only peekaboo for decor.. The best in the game!!!!! Thank you so much!

Definitely the best decor company out there! We can’t thank Bekka and her team enough for everything they did at our wedding. The whole venue was transformed both morning and evening to two completely different looks. We were originally going to have our reception outdoors due to weather issues we changed it to indoors in the morning and were worried it wouldn’t look the same inside. However when we saw the decor and what peekaboo created, it completely changed the whole room and looked amazing and exactly what we wanted! Bekka was so good at getting back to us every time we contacted her and was always just a message away if we had any questions. We knew peekaboo knew their stuff so we gave them a guide to what we wanted and left the rest to them and they absolutely smashed it!

Sammy was an absolute dream to work with on my wedding! She was so kind, helpful and just understood the vision! Our wedding decor was stunning, we had compliments all night! The outdoor mandap in the sunshine was beautiful and made the day really special. Sammy went over and beyond and really appreciate the high class service our family received. We had our daughter’s wedding on the 01/02/25. This was our first wedding we were completely inexperienced and apprehensive. However, Saleem from start to finish was professional, knowledgeable, caring and most all made us feel at ease. He was very attentive, listened, suggested and guided, nothing was trouble for he had a solution every situation. On the day, every expect of requirement were not only met but exceeded beyond our expectations. The venue, decor, cleanliness, waiters and most importantly the food were outstanding. We received so many compliments from our guests and most importantly Saleem ensured the day was magical for our daughter. We could not have asked for anymore and I would highly recommend Saleem and his team without a doubt. It's one of the nicest and most serene venues I've been so far in years. The owner is business minded. I say this because a beautiful garden is attached to the Hall where good pictures can be taken and canapés can be served before the hall is opened for the guests. There is parking just opposite the hall and also on the side roads. The toilets are sparkling clean and you have a reception area as well. I can only give this venue a 5 star.

By far my best investment for my wedding day. During planning a wedding people sell you the dream, and then don't come through but Vermillion Events DEFINITELY came through! Pav and his team totally transformed the venue, throughout the process they were flexible, efficient, calm, professional, paid attention to detail and gave me the most competitive quote. I'm a picky person, and like things VERY particular, I don't often use the word perfect but the service, and the outcome was nothing short of perfection. You wont regret booking them. CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH! I’m so glad I booked Pav back in 2019. For me it’s really important that I can connect with my vendors and Pavs energy really stood out to me, he built a great rapport with me and I knew instantly we could work easily together. Pav is really passionate about his work and this truly comes through in his dedication to go above and beyond to make my wedding special and meet my vision! We had some challenges with the pandemic and Pav was always accommodating and did everything to make sure he could provide a service despite numerous date changes. Pav, everything you and your team did on that day was spectacular. From the centrepieces to the signs outside, right upto the top table (without being biased, it was the best one I've ever seen 😅), was absolutely amazing. It gave the venue such a wonderful look. Booking Vermillion for our wedding week was the best decision. From the planning all the way through to the big days, everything ran smoothly. Pav helped our visions come to life, and delivered even more than we could’ve expected. Our friends and family were blown away by the decor, and we heard compliments throughout the week. A.S. Party set up our wedding decor, providing table centre pieces and chair decoration. They helped us pick what would look good and came in to set it all up before the wedding. They made the venue look even more incredible than it already did. I would like to say a huge thank you to A S Party for making my Daughters wedding at the Fox and Goose on the 8th September very special, we had a couple of last minute changes for the evening, and they saved the day by finding, and playing a couple of very specific and slightly obscure songs, they also provided the disco for the evening which went well. I would highly recommend the Ice Cream bike, along with popcorn and candy floss, this went down extremely well with our guests. Excellent service very highly recommended.

Just back from a family birthday party (100 years) and the venue was brilliant catering for 2 to 103 years old. Food great, lovely atmosphere, played our own music and enjoyed a wonderful time together. Highly recommend.

Paula and the team at The Arkwright centre made my Baby shower a lovely day for me! They were very helpful in giving us a hand in setting up to helping pack away. The afternoon tea was delicious and everyone commented on how much food there was and how tasty too! The room is decorated lovely to start with before my additional decor which is always a bonus. Had my bridal shower here 03/06/2023 and the staff here made it such a perfect day! They were attentive and friendly hosts who helped my day run smoothly. What can we say apart from Paula and her team are amazing. Our wedding reception was made even more special because of their nothing is too much hassle approach. On arrival the decorations were just as we had asked and it had the wow factor instantly the lighting, table decorations, sweet cart, cake table and our guest arrival table was perfect with the wishing well for cards. The whole night ran so smoothly,with Paula checking with us for timings. The buffet was phenomenal, delicious great selection and so tasty. We had 3 glutton free guests and their selection blew their minds. The whole package was such amazing value for money including the dj who was by the way also amazing and took requests all night, not just your usual wedding disco music, we had a ball ! I honestly can not recommend this Venue and Paula enough ! Thank you team you helped so much in making our day amazing ! 😊😊

Our Wedding Day was PERFECT, partly because we had Imagine Event's style it! They really listened to exactly what we wanted and it was just perfect. It looked amazing, we had massive artificial flowers and not one guest knew they wasn't real. They honestly looked amazing. Their replies are also so so fast and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Sophie and the team went above and beyond for our beautiful wedding day. I changed my mind multiple times with colour, decor and a huge delay due to Covid was partly the cause for my decision changes. Regardless, nothing was too much for Sophie and the team, they were always professional and friendly, even on the night before when I realised I had missed off the order chair seat robes for the ceremony chairs and had only accounted for the wedding breakfast chairs, Sophie saw how upset and stressed I was and sent a member of staff the following day (wedding day) to arrange this for us at no extra cost which was amazing. I used imagine event design for our wedding decor in March 2022, they made our venue look just as I described, they are super supportive even after so many emails of ideas, and they truly go above and beyond to get your vision to come to life. They came in and set up seamlessly we had zero stress on the day as they were so quick and professional. I recommend them to anyone who asks about our decor on the day and I won’t hesitate to use them again for an event in the future!
