Joni in Two Dales is definitely worth a visit. We had an amazing brunch with great selection of ingredients and fantastic presentation. The customer service from Jordan was first class, he really takes time to ensure he meets your requirements. Thanks.

We stopped by for breakfast while walking The White Peak Loop. The menu is fantastic – very reasonably priced with lots to choose from and plenty of veggie / vegan options available. The homemade coconut granola was fresh, zingy and very moreish, and their breakfast bagel was delicious too! The service was first class, and we were really well looked after. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the décor is chic, modern and relaxing. Would wholeheartedly recommend you drop in if you’re passing by – you won’t be disappointed!

Lovely coffee shop and a bakery. Great selection of freshly made cakes, cookies and other sweets. Large section of tea with different flavors. The coffee was good and the service was lovely. Definitely worth making a stop and recharge.

A small café tucked away in the streets of Matlock serving coffee and lovely baked treats. We had the carrot cake, a cappuccino and the mini Victoria cake. The baked goods were fresh and so cute! The micro flowers were a lovely touch and crumb was tender and moist. The cafe itself was decorated beautifully and made for lovely pictures!

Staying in Matlock for a couple of nights and looking for somewhere for breakfast with a different offering to the traditional cooked breakfast this is a real gem of a find. The best bowl of porridge I have ever had when eating out. Made properly with the freshest of berries to complement. Delicious. Accompanied by a wonderful coffee from a local roasters made for the perfect breakfast. We just wish that we had room to try the wonderful selection of homemade cakes. Hopefully next time. ☺️

We always park in the Dale Road car park and walk into Matlock. We had passed this on several occasions and decided to pop in and try it. It’s now our first stop when going to Matlock. The food is very, very good and the staff are lovely. Great place for coffee and breakfast. This time I had porridge with peanut butter and banana. Very reasonable prices for such great food and drinks.

Great espresso coffee and lovely service! Just stopped off on a walk for a coffee. Service was quick and friendly. We didn’t have time for food but looked like plenty to choose from. Will be returning in the morning :)

Been here a few times now, service is always friendly, lovely little well run cafe, do some lovely evening themed evenings /cocktail nights too, the food is fantastic and all homecooked,poached eggs are done to perfection, coffee is lovely, the cakes are lovely, the highlight today though was the salted caramel blondie, it was heaven ,the caramel sauce in it was also homemade,hands down the nicest blondie we have ever tasted and believe me we have tried many, visit if you are in the area,you won't be disappointed, also dog friendly inside too !

Beautiful cafe in a quiet village. They showed us really kind and hospitable service even though we spilled a hot chocolate all over their floor. They have a great range of drinks and food and would be a fantastic stop on a walk or cycle! Not to mention the best hot chocolate we've tasted in a while. Lots of space inside and outside options too. We will be back!

Stepping into Chase Cafe is like the feeling you get when coming home after a long walk. Sit back and enjoy the tea and cake whilst admiring the charming rustic interior and stunning view across Derwent Valley. There's seating outside for those sunny summer days and a log fire for those cold wintry afternoons.

We love coming here, recently brought my nan for a trip out in her wheelchair… It was lovely as always, we love the cheese scones, the kids loved the milkshakes as did I and the Biscoffe croissants were amazing !!! Staff were so polite, friendly and welcoming as always.

Genuinely great wee coffee shop, with excellent sweets and cake options. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and polite. Service was fast. You don't feel like you are being rushed to leave, and they have some outdoor seating too. Kid friendly and dog friendly too. It feels like they are genuinely part of the community rather than just providing a service and trying to get through as many customers as possible. If you're coming to Matlock Bath its definitely worth stopping in here.

Popped in here at the end of the day for a takeaway coffee but was drawn in by the apple cake (which was delicious!). Ordered hot milk for my daughter and given a flake and pot of marshmallows to go, as well as biscuits with both drinks. Had no idea they were literally closing as service could not have been more friendly. Felt I must leave a review as although we were only in there for a few minutes it left a great impression and the decaf coffee is also superb! Even my 11 year old daughter commented on how nice the staff were. 😊

Enjoyed a delicious latte on the porch area in a peaceful park with local people going about their day, taking in the sites. I didn't have food but the cakes looked amazing! Friendly staff plenty of food options.

Had tea and cake here recently. As usual, the service was friendly, and the food and drink were excellent. I have visited many times and would highly recommend it. Called in again in August and had this lovely coffee and pecan cake. Added some Valentine cake photos for February 2024. 13th October 2024 had tea and apple pie delicious! November 2024 and the café is decorated for Christmas, seasonal cakes await, and 'spicy parsnip soup'. The staff are as friendly as ever, a warm atmosphere awaits....

Stopped here for a takeaway coffee to enjoy in the park. It was piping hot, reasonably priced and the service was friendly. The cakes were very tempting but unfortunately I didn't indulge this time so can't vouch for their taste and quality. Worth a stop if you want something whilst in Matlock. Savoury items were also available.

Lovely setting and well maintained in the inside. Food and coffee are amazing. One point to consider; the sign about your card-charges. Take it down, these charges are a tax deduction against your income, plus all your bank charges. Maybe you should get rid of card payments all together if it’s causing an issue. At the end of the day, it’s the cost of doing business and these charges are already worked into your costs.

Great tasting flat white and even better bacon sandwich, definitely recommend this. I appreciate that the sauce is provided separately in a small bowl! More on the expensive side price-wise but high quality ingredients, friendly staff and nice location, so can't complain.

I recently had my baby shower at the Cool River Cafe, and I can’t stop raving about the experience! The setting was absolutely charming, with lovely cozy atmosphere that made everyone feel at ease. We enjoyed afternoon tea that was perfectly curated, featuring a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream, and a variety of delicate pastries. The service was top-notch - attentive and friendly! It was the perfect relaxed spot for my special occasion. I would highly recommend the Cool river café for anyone looking for a wonderful venue to host a special occasion!

Lovely place, the waiter went above and beyond, helping us by moving tables and being kind and patient the whole time with fussy eaters ordering specific orders, so thank you to him. Great quality tasty food, drinks and pastries too. Brilliant people.

Been here multiple times over the past few years. Food is out of this world - especially the sandwiches, and soups with freshly made cheese scones. Staff are fantastic, and the outside tables with views over the park are lovely in summer. Plus the cafe is attached to a great little gift shop which has some wonderful and unique items. Would definitely recommend.

Literally everything you want a cafe to be! Cute decor and crockery, friendly staff, pretty outside seating area with lovely view of the park, delicious cake, welcoming atmosphere, nice tea with non-dairy milk options, great value, need I go on. I loved it here!

The wife and I decided to call here during a visit to Matlock Bath. The venue is tucked away from the main road and is lovely and clean. I love an open kitchen where the chefs are proud to show off their skills to guests. Staff were friendly and attentive. And the food!!! Wow!!! Simply awesome and delicious. The wife had the Seafood Platter and I had the Surf and Turf,consisting of Derbyshire Pork Belly with four different fish fillets! Absolutely delicious. We have already decided we will be back. Highly recommend this place.

I wanted to eat at a seafood restaurant. I found this via Google. I had the seafood platter to start. Very large portion. Plenty of delicious seafood, nice sauces... (Maybe needs another slice of bread to mop them). My wife had the calamari special and enjoyed them too. I then had the fish mixed grill. Lovely food again. Several fish, served with gambas and pan fried carrots and parsnips. My wife had the fish and chips which she enjoyed. We had great desserts to finish with. I had a carrot cake and my wife a cheesecake. They are both handmade. We don't visit the area often but if we do, we will pay this restaurant another visit. It's worth it.

First time here this evening and will defo be going back. went for a date night for something special and this little place didn't disappoint. The lady front of house was lovely and so was the chef who came out and chatted with us and made sure that our food was to our liking. Nice to see the chef cooking our food too. The cave set of the environment and atmosphere and nothing was too much for the guys who work there. we had surf and turf which was beautiful and then for dessert I had blueberry Eton mess and my partner had the special cheesecake which both was lovely. keep up the good work we will definitely be returning.

Lovely little restaurant, with excellent food. They catered well to my slightly complicated dietary requirements, and everyone in our group of 5 had a delicious meal. The fish was cooked perfectly (which I suppose you'd hope would be a bare minimum for a seafood restaurant but you can never be sure!). The desserts we had were also very good, as was the wine. The kitchen is open so you can see your food being prepared, and it looks reassuringly clean and tidy! Ian the chef seems like a nice bloke too, and made me feel like my dietary needs were no problem at all. The building itself is quirky, tucked away in a courtyard and built into the side of the cliff, so it almost reminds me of the places built into the caves in Granada, Spain!

Lovely Gifts, Great Coffee and the best homemade scones you ever tasted.

A lovely afternoon spent here resting our legs after a long day out! The staff were welcoming and friendly. There were quite a few bakes on display which looked appetising! There’s also gifts and cards on display! It’s also dog friendly too. The drinks came pretty quickly and we have have some refreshments whilst watching the world go by!!

Black forest cake was sublime! Home made, so fresh, dense but light, tons of cherry and we were even offered pouring cream which my husband was delighted with! Coffees were good.

Always plesent, lovely team and chilled atmosphere. Dog friendly . Food is fabulous and the iced teams are delicious. Highly recommend. Only downside is as a local can’t always get a seat especially in summer
