The Vintage Booth
14 Grange Ln, Maltby, Rotherham S66 7DA, UK
Phone: 01709 818020
“Nestled in the heart of Maltby, The Vintage Booth is more than just a cafe – it’s a soulful haven, an unassuming sanctuary where time slows, and the world feels a little kinder. Claire and Pat, the delightful owners, create an atmosphere so warm, it feels like stepping into a comforting embrace. Their genuine, open-hearted nature invites you not just to enjoy a cup of coffee, but to engage in conversations that linger long after you've left. What makes The Vintage Booth truly exceptional is the way Claire and Pat seamlessly blend their rich, inspirational wisdom into the very fabric of the cafe. With a kind smile, they’ll share life advice that feels like a secret whispered from someone who’s lived fully and truly. Whether you're in need of a deep chat or just someone to listen, they are there, offering their ear with the kind of attentive care that’s rare in today’s fast-paced world. It's a place where the worries of the day seem to melt away, and where you are always met with understanding and kindness. The cafe itself is a cozy, inviting gem, adorned with vintage charm that feels like stepping into a storybook. There’s something magical about the way the sunlight pours through the windows, casting a soft glow over the rustic décor and hand-picked trinkets. It’s impossible not to feel a sense of belonging as you sip on your perfectly brewed coffee or nibble on one of their delicious homemade treats. But what truly sets The Vintage Booth apart is how it has become the soul of Maltby – the beating heart of the town. People from all walks of life are drawn here, not just for the delicious food or rich coffee, but for the sense of community, connection, and warmth that radiates from every corner. It’s a place where strangers become friends, and where the world feels just a little bit smaller, more intimate, and more loving. In every cup of coffee and every conversation, Claire and Pat remind us that The Vintage Booth is not just a cafe – it’s a celebration of life, love, and the simple joys that make it all worthwhile. If you haven’t experienced it yet, you owe it to yourself to stop by. You’ll find more than a cafe – you’ll find a little piece of home.”

“Have been going to Thorpe Coffee for a while now and have had a variety of different foods, I tend to rotate now between an English Breakfast and a Turkish breakfast, both excellent. I have also also had a chicken kebab wrap which was also excellent. Rose is always welcoming to us and they also allow dogs in which really helps, Rose also makes a fuss of our dog and gives him a treat so naturally he loves coming with us. Really handy having something of such high quality locally that we can take our dog in too.”

“I absolutely love this cafe. Not only is the food really good for its price, the atmosphere is so unique and so much fun to be around. Been coming here as tradition for three years now and there’s really nothing like it. I even commute from Sheffield specifically to come here just because it’s so special. Honestly the best part about this place, (other than its incredible decor that must have spent a lifetime to accumulate!!) is the people. So friendly, and so welcoming. I always love coming in and chatting with these guys. Thank you 💫”

“Just had lunch at the cafe today. Gotta say that it really is an excellent local place to go. It's the sort of place that you have such a good time, when you leave, you think to yourself, "I should write a Google Review!". I had a cheese toastie with salad and coleslaw, and a hot chocolate made with almond milk. Everything was perfect and delicious. The service is excellent too. Very friendly, conscientious, helpful and with sincere smiles. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and allows you to relax and enjoy your food and being with friends. Highly recommended and definitely a great reason to 'keep it local'.”

“A well proportioned cafe plenty of outside dining space and good parking. Offers a wide range of tasty looking breakfasts with vegetarian options. The first time I have been offered a raspberry jam croissant, but it was quite nice. I would imagine this place is very busy during tourist season. Prices seem reasonable for the quality offered. Staff are .pleasant”
