āAbsolutely lovely little cafe - great food and drink choices, including gluten free. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The friendliness of the staff gave the cafe a really nice atmosphere, we will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend šā

āA well proportioned cafe plenty of outside dining space and good parking. Offers a wide range of tasty looking breakfasts with vegetarian options. The first time I have been offered a raspberry jam croissant, but it was quite nice. I would imagine this place is very busy during tourist season. Prices seem reasonable for the quality offered. Staff are .pleasantā

āEarly March on a warm Sunday we went on a short walk from Chatsworth car park to Edensor village and the cafe. So nice to sit outside though well wrapped up and have a great lunch. It was quite busy so the service was stretched but I had a healthy interesting salad and the others had meals chosen from the menu which all went down well. The cafe has a small car park and a single toilet which was very neat and tidy. We were all very happy our lunch choice.ā

āI'm so happy that the Old Smithy has reopened! It used to be a favourite stop on our walks, and we missed it so much. We worried if the new owners would maintain the charm and atmosphere, but we were not disappointed. The menu is basic, but the portions are generous, and the food is really fresh and tasty. The staff are superb!!!! Very friendly, yet polite and respectful. The service was prompt and efficient. Cannot wait to go back. I sincerely hope that the business will thrive and wish the new owners all the best of luck.ā

āBest place in Hartington to get a quick drink, breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or do a little shopping. Previously only getting some products and gifts from farm shop, this time we stopped for breakfast (full English) and coffee. Mocha was really nice and served very quickly. We had t wait for breakfast but it wasn't more than 15 minutes. The breakfast was very tasty and the portion was definitely too big for me. The menu is decent, including the menu for kids, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great cake display on the counter and very good prices (next time I'll try some of the cake). The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is converted farm, with lots of space. The shop is situated in front, the cafe in the back with plenty of tables. Local artists pictures are on the walls (for sale) which gives more character, the place is clean. What's also worth mentioning is that the farm shop won some awards and they source ingredients from local farms.ā
