Very friendly staff, attentive and welcoming. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Only ordered 2 coffees, but we wish we were more hungry to try their tempting and tasty sounding menu. Nothing else to mention really, great place 10/10 and would certainly return 😀

The food was absolutely fantastic! One of the best takes on a full English breakfast that Ive have ever had in my entire life! The ingredients were of an outstanding quality, it was all cooked absolutely perfectly, and the presentation was super clean! My partner had the tacos from the light bites section and they said they were the best tacos ever made! To top it all off, the staff were all incredibly friendly and kind, and the atmosphere felt right at home! TLDR: YOU HAVE GOT TO GO HERE!!!!

Lovely food, lots of choice in the menu. Good portion sizes. Nice friendly venue, with a nice atmosphere. Not expensive, and staff helpful if struggling to make a choice. Toilets upstairs so not accessible, but were nice and clean.

This place is a real gem! Chakra Restaurant delights not only with the exceptional flavor of its dishes but also with its wonderful atmosphere. Every bite is a journey into the world of aromatic spices and perfectly selected ingredients. The staff is extremely polite and helpful, and the interior – atmospheric and elegant, but without being overly formal. We felt taken care of from the very first moment to the last. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, family lunch, or a get-together with friends. I will definitely be coming back!

Lesley and her team opened up the tea rooms and provided a delicious 3 course evening meal for a large party (32 of us) when we visited Eyam for a weekend walking trip a couple of weeks ago. Lesley and her chef designed a fabulous menu and were very accommodating regards dietary requirements. The service and food quality on the night was second to none. Highly recommend this place!

Great gluten free offerings ! Dog friendly, lovely home made cakes and gifts, beautiful views especially in the snow !

Stopped by during a ride for a sausage roll and coffee, both were delicious! The cakes on offer looked amazing so I'll definitely be back.

A rustic café with a calm and homely atmosphere despite the lack of customers on a dismal day. This was my first visit here. The coffee was very good and the food appeared to be very good also but I am unable to pass judgement on account of my strict dietary needs. I can imagine that this establishment gets very busy at certain times of the year and there is a substantial amount of outside seating. Well away from the main road it must be quite pleasant for al fresco dining on sunny days. Today though the weather is keeping people confined either to their homes or the workplace.

Love this cafe and staff are always nice , great cakes and menu choice . Would go more but as many cafes prices gone up. Tend to go when out on bikes. £7.95 for beans on toast too much . May be I am out of touch

This is a lovely cafe! Great service and delicious food and lots of choice. This was our first visit here. It's just what you need after swimming. Thanks to Kerem for his kindness in returning my glasses which I'd left on the table! Just wish we lived nearer Hathersage is such a lovely place.

Stopped in to Castleton on our way back from Mam Tor, and found this lovely little spot for lunch. Great menu, very friendly and polite staff and just the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat and a much needed refuel! Coffees were hot (none of this lukewarm, pretty foam art nonsense thankfully!) and very good beans, baguettes were huge and stuffed with filling, and the hand cut, home made chips were exceptional! Definitely give this place a try if you're heading through or staying in Castleton

We actually came with zero expectations, just because we were super tired from the trails and wanted to eat somewhere. We both got the Asian burger and it was fantastic. Absolutely exceeded our expectations and definitely would be eating here if we were in the area again!

Had breakfast with a friend as a catch up. The full English was so tasty and a large portion. The pork sausage was one of the best I've tasted. The only negative point of the breakfast was the scrambled egg - over done and rubbery, but the rest of the breakfast was so good. Flat white was good too. Would definitely be back again (hopefully better eggs next time)

The food was excellent, (an amazing range of options for such a small operation) and prepared with real care. Excellent provision for gluten-free (cross-contamination caution). Staff and service was warm and accommodating. A wall display of superb photographs shows the stunning local scenery at its best (and are for sale). We were able to reserve tables. If we lived nearer we'd be regulars.

Such a cute shop I found in Hartington village in Peak District. Which is located exactly in the centre of the village. Best teas and coffees Homemade cakes and sandwiches can try here. We just walked around the shops and enjoyed the sunset.

This is a really lovely Tea Room. We parked nearby and wandered in, past the beautiful entrance and the Queen Victoria postbox (the tea room also serves as the village post office). We were promptly welcomed and seated. The menu was really lovely, as was the food. The three of us really enjoyed the entire experience. So much so, we decided to top it off with ice cream!

Great little tea room.. The food was tasty and well priced. The staff were fantastic....so helpful and friendly....definitely recommend... They do takeaway too....Great for hikers and cyclists.

The only place I’ll go to for afternoon tea. Choose your filling of sandwich, slab of cake. Matched with a raspberry scone. Service spot on and loads of walks nearby to walk it off! I travelled from London for this and would always do again! £16 with unlimited tea, great value. Also have loads of other cafe favourites e.g toasties jacket potatoes etc

Visited on a Friday at 2pm and was welcomed with a hello and asked how many people we needed a table for (2 of us) and were seated straight away. We had a hot drink each (double cappuccino and a pot of tea), toasted fruit loaf, cherry scone with all the trimmings, a slice of coffee and walnut cake and a slice of cherry almond cake. The food was delicious and served promptly. Good selection of cakes on display which all looked delicious, it was hard to choose which one to have! Lovely little space and very friendly staff who served with a smile. Our bill came to a total of £26 which for what we ordered was a reasonable price.

We came here as a group of 11 people for afternoon tea. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. We were sat under the marquee which was very nice and had our own space to enjoy the afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was impressive, the portions were excellent with the option to add prosecco too! We ended up taking lots back with us as there was so much choice. We were also pleased that they were able to cater for a vegan person in our group, which was appreciated. The service was great. We really enjoyed ourselves, thank you.

Visited today, we had the feshest scones with jam and cream, freshly made rich coffees. Sat outside in the rear garden. Staff were lovely.

Had a fantastic experience at The Family Tree! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a lovely countryside charm. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and generously portioned. Popped in with the missus for a spot of lunch, which quickly escalated into a dining delight! I chose the bagels with smoked salmon, and she chose poached eggs on toast with crushed avocado. Both meals were absolutely perfect, great textures, balance of flavours, and the portions were both generous and very reasonably priced. Touches like a drizzle of balsamic vinegar, and a seeded bagel, rather than a plain one, just shows the level of care and attention put into their food. Throw in some fresh spinach and eggs cooked to perfection, what more could you want?Cake! That’s what!! Even though we were both full, we simply couldn’t leave without a couple of the cakes on display, they simply looked amazing. And they were! Thoroughly recommend these lovely people, the fantastic food, great location, and one more bonus…they allow dogs, which meant we got a bit of a doggo fix too!! Brilliant 👍

A well proportioned cafe plenty of outside dining space and good parking. Offers a wide range of tasty looking breakfasts with vegetarian options. The first time I have been offered a raspberry jam croissant, but it was quite nice. I would imagine this place is very busy during tourist season. Prices seem reasonable for the quality offered. Staff are .pleasant

One of my favourite cafes. Such a lovely location and great staff. Toasties are delicious and coffees are good too. Also have a nice selection of baked goods. Spacious inside and outside seating areas and in winter they normally have a lovely cosy fire

We decided to grab brunch here on a lovely sunny day. The cafe itself is adorable and the outdoor seating provided the perfect setting for food! The staff are all friendly and the food was delicious!! I can’t wait to come here again!

We travelled to the Peak District today to climb Mam Tor at sunrise and visited Rose Cottage following the descent. We called prior to our arrival to check dogs were allowed - not being from the area. We were given a warm welcome and staff were super attentive and friendly! Breakfast was 10/10! Would highly recommend to tourists! Have attached photos although we are fussy eaters so had several items removed from our dishes (of which the team were also very accommodating of).

Warm and welcoming. My coffee was delicious. Cosy atmosphere by the fire with some choice of games that my youngest really enjoyed. Just what we needed after a long journey in the car.

This is a friendly cosy cafe with a nice outdoor seating area as well. We had delicious avocado on sourdough, and BLTs with fries, on a cold windy day. It was like a haven to be honest. There are excellent cakes and even beer on tap. We saw some other people having a sharing platter of soft yolk scotch eggs and cheeses which looked absolutely delicious. Great place for a first date I’d say!

Visited the youndermann for breakfast, got a small youndermann breakfast. Everything was really good, the mushrooms and the oatcake were not my favourite but thats just personal preference 🙂 this breakfast comes with a choice of tea or coffee. Beautiful scenery if you sit outside, overall lovely place to visit. It is out of the way, but is definitely worth a visit.

The best around for miles even got my Vegan breakfast happy days will be going back
