First time visiting the Twig Coffee shop in Chapel, which I think has fairly recently changed ownership. It's not a large space but it's nice, relaxed and clean with bench seating in parts. Serving tea, coffees, toasties, sandwiches, cakes, and pastries. My cappuccino was excellent; good flavour. I liked how the staff sanitised the tables after every customer. Dog friendly, too. Will call in again. Good luck with your business.

Its a really nice cafe with great coffees and food. I don't think they still do it but once i went and they had this excellent spicy panini. I haven't been here for lunch in a while but I would highly reccommend coming here.

Really tasty cakes and good quality drinks. Staff were lovely and made my little girl a 'puppachino' with sprinkles on. It's dog friendly too which is great, however it's very small so when there are a lot of customers and dogs it can feel quite stifling.

Beautiful premises, love the decor and the choice of sandwiches & paninis is very good. Delicious tea, coffee & cake. Friendly, welcoming staff. Would come back next time I'm in the peak district. Took an hour detour from Stockport back to West midlands to come here on a whim and very happy with the decision.

A very nice little cafe in a lovely little town. The cafe is set down a quite little lane, next to a bookshop. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, if you looking for fast food and service this is not the cafe for you. The food is well prepared and made fresh on the premises, the coffee is nice and strong it's very flavourful, the homemade curried potato soup is highly recommended, it was served with sourdough, the brilliant art work on the walls is also for sale.

Lovely place to have a spot of tea/coffee and a scone. The Scones were delicious and are hand made by the owners mum. Very light and fluffy. Coffee and tea both very good. Also, on a Sunday they are open later then most that shut around 4pm, which is why we luckily found this one. Staff lovely and friendly, very recommended!

Lovely little cafe next to Edale railway station and over the road from a public car park. Has a main dining area and a small outdoor area. A very nice menu serving nice quality food, Leaf English Breakfast tea and hot chocolate, Chocolate Brownie and Apple & Cinnamon cake. The cakes were a very nice portion. All served by very welcoming staff. The place was nice and clean All at an ok price

Quality cafe in the idyllic village of Edale, right next to the train station (train times are displayed inside). Very nice staff and espresso. There's free WiFi if you're struggling to get phone signal. Lack of mobile coverage is probably the only downside of this area! Hikers and cyclists are well catered for.

Excellent hotel. Rooms modern and very spacious. Courtesy drink on arrival. Staff are excellent. Needed to charge my car but had a problem with the Charge point. The young girl who was working went above and beyond in the freezing conditions to help. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Will definitely stay again.

We stopped in for a Sunday roast and are so glad we did. The welcome we received was professional, yet relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere is spot on, and the food was something else. We all opted for the roasted beef, and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back, that's for sure. If I were to suggest anything to the venue, it would be to provide steak knives with the beef, just to make cutting the medium-rare meat that much easier. But we still loved everything and can't wait to go back.

Where to start? The overall experience at the Merchant's Yard was excellent. The place has a fantastic atmosphere, with a nice bar area and a comfortable seating area, with table generously spaced. Personnel is very friendly and attentive, cannot fault them. We sat at the bar initially for a drink and the opportunity to browse the menu. Once we were ready our drinks were carried to the table, without even asking. We ordered scallops and duck breast as mains, both outstanding! Puddings, cheesecake and treacle tart, were equally delicious. Considering the quality of the food the price is extremely reasonable, and this applies also to the wine. I really do not know where the negative reviews are coming from. We will be back for sure!!!

What a fabulous find. Beautiful rooms, even better food topped off with courteous and helpful staff. Nothing was missing from our stay, the owners have thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and return.

It’s always nice to have vegan options available at smaller cafes, and we definitely felt catered for here. Staff were very friendly, food was great, and service was fast! A great end to the cavern tour.

We go here regularly when out on a ride in the area. There is a wide variety of typical cafe food to choose from including some appetising specials. Service is not always the fastest but that's probably due to the popularity of the place. There's a two tier ordering service which baffles me. It seems to be table service but I have seen customers come straight in, order at the counter and be served before seated customers 🤷🏼‍♂️. But that really is a minor point. Food is pretty good. Bap quality could be improved. Overall, a good place to visit and mingle with other bikers. PS, there are helmet stores by the door so that your table isn't cluttered. 👌

Always a friendly welcome and never had an issue with service at all. I tend to stick to a breakfast as that’s what suits me: always well cooked and plenty to keep me going.

A lovely cafe in Hartington, very popular with visitors and tourists. I had the soup, and my friend had a prawn sandwich; both good value. Very friendly and helpful staff, and some nice things to browse and buy in the shop. Highly recommended for a quick bite.

Cute little cafe, which also contains the village post office. As mentioned several times before, service was quite slow. We arrived at 2.30pm and were keen to order hot food before the 3pm cut off point. The cafe wasn’t busy (only one other table was occupied) but we had to wait for around 15 minutes before a staff member came to take our order. My daughter-in-law and I just wanted cakes, but my son wanted hot food, and the staff member questioned whether or not the kitchen was still open - which was when I pointed what was written on the menu, as well as the fact that we’d been waiting for 15 minutes to be acknowledged. She agreed and we ordered. I had the Apple Crumble with ice-cream and although it wasn’t the most aesthetically appealing dish, it was delicious. My son and daughter-in-law also enjoyed their food. Despite the slow service I would still visit here again. The staff member we spoke to was lovely, and I have no complaints about her at all. Maybe the kitchen was winding down (hence her initial response) but if we’d been served more rapidly our orders would have been in half an hour before the kitchen closes.

This is a really lovely Tea Room. We parked nearby and wandered in, past the beautiful entrance and the Queen Victoria postbox (the tea room also serves as the village post office). We were promptly welcomed and seated. The menu was really lovely, as was the food. The three of us really enjoyed the entire experience. So much so, we decided to top it off with ice cream!

Lovely Farm, Shop & Café… I was met by a member of the team who explained it was table service, which was lovely to hear! As I didn’t expect it. The service was excellent and had a nice chat with the girl that served me, so keep up the good work! I traveled about an hour but want somewhere calm and peaceful, which was perfect! Highly recommend 😍

I've been going to Croots for many years now but not been recently so popped along this morning. All there stuff is so tasty. Friendly staff. Their award winning sausages are really good in a toad in the hole. So much lovely stuff in their deli section. Highly recommended Also its a unique shopping experience often having to wait for sheep to move off the road on your drive up to the farm shop, you don't get that at your supermarket LOL.

Great farm shop with a lovely tea room... we enjoyed a delicious lunch here with a superb view, and bought some delicious cake from the shop. The tea room would benefit from a makeover it is not particularly attractive more functional Great friendly staff

Busy cafe adjacent to the farm shop. Clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Good coffee and cake stop for cyclists. Full breakfast and lunch menus also available. Reasonable prices and good pleasant service.

Lovely cafe- staff friendly and welcoming. The choice for the lunch menu was really good, competitively priced and very enjoyable. Coffee and cakes were also very good. Also very nice items for sale. Highly recommend.

Lovely tea rooms with good food choices. Really cosy place selling a wide range of home products,cards,toys,cards etc. The staff were really lovely, the service was great as was the atmosphere. We visited while on holiday and would visit regularly If we lived close by

Yesterday we shared a special birthday celebration at the tea rooms. The food and service were brilliant, the atmosphere and decor lovely and the catering for various dietary needs and 4 hungry children was impeccable. From booking to consumption the team were great to deal with and I would heartily recommend the tea rooms to anyone whether for a casual drop in or an organised tea party.

Best place in Hartington to get a quick drink, breakfast, lunch, sweet snack or do a little shopping. Previously only getting some products and gifts from farm shop, this time we stopped for breakfast (full English) and coffee. Mocha was really nice and served very quickly. We had t wait for breakfast but it wasn't more than 15 minutes. The breakfast was very tasty and the portion was definitely too big for me. The menu is decent, including the menu for kids, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Great cake display on the counter and very good prices (next time I'll try some of the cake). The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is converted farm, with lots of space. The shop is situated in front, the cafe in the back with plenty of tables. Local artists pictures are on the walls (for sale) which gives more character, the place is clean. What's also worth mentioning is that the farm shop won some awards and they source ingredients from local farms.

Good food, great prices, super quick service and also same pizza guy from across the road in the pub. Would go there again in a heartbeat ❤️
