Very welcoming and friendly cafe. Food and coffee unreal, would highly recommend the peanut butter bar, mushroom and egg breakfast roll and their new mozzarella and pesto roll. We travel here from Manchester on a regular basis, food and service here is best around.

Really look forward to a visit to Village Green when I’m in Eyam - the food is delicious and creative, obviously made by people who care. This time, a delicious tomato fennel soup, and a chorizo toastie with chilli jam. Inside the cafe is cosy, but I especially love sitting at an outside table, watching the world go by

Really nice coffee and food. Always busy but very nice village vibes

Nice cafe, I’d say a bit overpriced, but it maybe because popular location or so. We had an amazing brekkie there, and its dog friendly. Coffee was good.

Great place for lunch, or home made cake and a drink. Friendly staff and lovely well priced menu. There is a freezer full of delicious home cooked food to take home and heat. Roadside parking is limited outside, but many car parks within a few minute walk. Well worth a visit!

Lovely little place that also caters well for vegans and my daughter was very impressed. Soup, wrap, tofu dish, two nice pieces of cake and three drinks (elderflower cordial, raspberry milkshake and water) less than £30. Friendly staff and pleasant lunch except for the other customers with yapping little dogs!

Delicious vegan and vegetarian food, with lovely friendly service. We had a delicious lunch here and will return .

What a treat I had today! Wish The Herb Garden was in my town!! Great place, great food and great service! Had a delish cooked breakfast then lingered over a second coffee while I chose which cakes (decided on Lemon & lime and Chocolate & coconut) and which savouries to take away… later enjoyed the Persian pie lunch on my journey back home to N Wales! Thank you!!!

Lovely friendly, laid back coffee shop, cool interior and love the retro crockery. Genuinely screamed at the tiny pour over cup. Our dog enjoyed watching the other dogs go by out the window. Thanks :)

Great small coffee shop. It has a charm that the chain brands don't! The speciality coffee that was recommended was an absolute treat. The rustic and vintage vibe of the place just adds to the ambience. Definitely recommend for anyone passing through Buxton.
Rating: 5 / 5
What a venue. Absolutely what you hope a speciality coffee shop will be like. Quirky with a really cool aesthetic. Owners - Roy and Lilly - (I do hope I remembered their names correctly) who clearly have a passion for creating delightful coffees and cold drinks. An absolute joy. One trip was all it took to fix it firmly in my top five coffee houses anywhere. Such care with the shots. Devine milk and comfy. Loved it. Wonderful. Give it a try

We ate here after a stroll up mam tor. It's only small inside so there's not a whole heap of seating but the atmosphere is great and the food is 10/10

The Best full English I've ever had! We went in on Saturday morning for something to set us up for the day and were not disappointed. The owner served us and was really friendly. I had a delicious mocha and a full English, my partner had a latte and full English, the food came out very hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered a sandwich and drink to takeaway for my dinner, yet to report on that but I'm sure it'll be as delicious as everything else. I think we've found our regular breakfast place, can't wait to go back!

A perfect campsite with an amazing view nestled between the mountains. It’s close to many hiking trails and various must-see attractions. There are charming, small but lively villages around. Having a market and café on-site is a big advantage. The toilets and showers are extremely clean, spacious, and warm. The pitches are very large, and most are positioned to face the view. My favorite pitches are 27, 28, 29, and 30. I highly recommend it. Even in cold weather, the misty mountains in front of you look like a painting, making it incredibly relaxing. My partner and I were very, very satisfied.

What a fantastic site! Big hard standing pitches, very clean, warm and modern facilities and in a brilliant location. The service we receive from Jodie was fantastic when we came across issues booking our last minute trip online (many thanks again!). We look forward to returning again when hopefully we can enjoy more than one night on site!

Lovely little camp site within walking distances of many routes within the nature reserves. Clean facilities, cafe on site. Dog friendly with dog exercise areas. Would stay again

Best campsite I've ever been to. Brilliant facilities (heated toilet/shower blocks are a dream!), super friendly staff and great views. The location is spot on for trips to Bakewell, Buxton etc. and there's lots of animals near by - got woken up by cows mooing in the field behind one morning, what better way to wake up?! Will definitely be returning! :-)

Where to start? The overall experience at the Merchant's Yard was excellent. The place has a fantastic atmosphere, with a nice bar area and a comfortable seating area, with table generously spaced. Personnel is very friendly and attentive, cannot fault them. We sat at the bar initially for a drink and the opportunity to browse the menu. Once we were ready our drinks were carried to the table, without even asking. We ordered scallops and duck breast as mains, both outstanding! Puddings, cheesecake and treacle tart, were equally delicious. Considering the quality of the food the price is extremely reasonable, and this applies also to the wine. I really do not know where the negative reviews are coming from. We will be back for sure!!!

Excellent hotel. Rooms modern and very spacious. Courtesy drink on arrival. Staff are excellent. Needed to charge my car but had a problem with the Charge point. The young girl who was working went above and beyond in the freezing conditions to help. The staff are a credit to the hotel. Will definitely stay again.

We stopped in for a Sunday roast and are so glad we did. The welcome we received was professional, yet relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere is spot on, and the food was something else. We all opted for the roasted beef, and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back, that's for sure. If I were to suggest anything to the venue, it would be to provide steak knives with the beef, just to make cutting the medium-rare meat that much easier. But we still loved everything and can't wait to go back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here on NYE to get away from the city. It went above and beyond our expectations. There was a huge amount of attention to detail from little treats left in the room to complimentary drinks for NYE to a parking plaque with my name on. The room itself was modern, luxurious, the beds and pillows so comfy and the bath/bathroom was perfect. We had breakfast included which was also lovely. The surrounding area was gorgeous for hikes and getting away from the hustle and bustle. All the staff were absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. It was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in in the UK. Thanks so much - we will be back :).

Three Roots Cafe provided a bustling atmosphere when I visited around 3 pm, with the place completely packed. However, the person taking our order appeared to be in a rush and somewhat inattentive. Despite this initial impression, the food surpassed all expectations. I opted for a veg soup paired with a cheese sandwich, both of which were incredibly flavorful and satisfying. Additionally, I indulged in a chocolate brownie, which undoubtedly ranked as the best I've ever had in my lifetime. The cafe boasts a wide variety of delightful desserts, although I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options available for the main course. The interior decor is charmingly simple, a bit congested but lively - contributing to a pleasant dining experience overall.

We visited today as a family of 4, with our 4 legged family member also. What a little gem of a find, purely by accident after a long walk for the mam tor sunrise (cloud rise today) our breakfast plans fell through(we forgot our gas for our stove 🙈😂) I am so glad we did. I am gluten free and the choice was fabulous, very well catered for. I myself had the smoked salmon, requested poached eggs rather than scrambled on gluten free toast, with a lovely wedge of lemon. The salmon was beautiful, very good quality, my daughter wants to come again so she can have it. Eggs were cooked to liking and were lovely. My daughter had the cheese burger and said it was lovely. My other day had the winter vegetable soup with warm crusty bread and said it was beautiful. My husband really enjoyed his breakfast bap. We tried the bloody orange and fig cockle warmer and it was lovely. Staff were all very polite, and helpful and happy to answer any questions. The cafe was clean and welcoming. We will definitely be "forgetting our gas" again so we can have another lovely visit here.

It was our first visit to this cafe. The staff went out of their way to ensure our visit and coffee were perfect nothing was too much trouble for them. It was spotless and clean and the menu had a good choice for all clientele. If you are visiting Castleton we would highly recommend this establishment.

Had breakfast with a friend as a catch up. The full English was so tasty and a large portion. The pork sausage was one of the best I've tasted. The only negative point of the breakfast was the scrambled egg - over done and rubbery, but the rest of the breakfast was so good. Flat white was good too. Would definitely be back again (hopefully better eggs next time)

Two of us ordered a steak sandwich and a portion of smoky bacon sausage roll. Both were delicious with generous helpings of tasty, fresh salad alongside: beetroot, celeriac, coleslaw and rocket. There was an attractive selection of cakes and bakes to be sampled next time. Friendly service with a warm welcome as we walked in. The latte coffee was perfectly prepared and served.

arrived 1PM on thursday after hiking at three shires head. it was a good sunny day, therefore, the tea room was busy, fortunately, there was one table free for us.. advise to book a table in advance. the sea baa was tasty, consisted of two piece fillets, vegetable curry would be better if cooked an hour longer to make the curry thicker. add chicken on vegetable curry was only £1.50. the chips were crispy and salad was fresh. the english breakfast was good and value for money. tea room has a good selection of home made cakes. i had a piece of guiness cake (chocolate cake) it was good not too sweet.

Absolutely idyllic tea room. The setting and views are picturesque! The service was great, the food was delicious, we had a hard time choosing as the menu was full of delicious sounding dishes. The tearoom has collectable quirky teapots around the walls and the cutest salt and pepper pots ever! Thank you for a delicious cream tea, we will be back to try more dishes!

Had a lovely tea, crumpets, tea cakes, scone and amazing hot chocolate. They had oat milk which was a bonus for me at an extra cost. They gave free milk chocolates aswell which were delicious. Only thing I'd say is that they could offer more breakfast items like toast to attract breakfast goers. Would come back if I ever come to visit Buxton again.
