We’ve just had another fortnight at Druridge Bay and so visiting The Drift Cafe was a regular activity. As usual it was fantastic, the food is excellent, the staff so warm and friendly we can’t fault it. To the people giving bad reviews based on the price, you really need to get out more as their prices are normal and reasonable. To the people giving bad reviews based on surly and unfriendly staff, I’m afraid that says more about you than it does about them. You get what you project perhaps if you go in there a little less demanding and entitled people would be friendlier to you, think about it.

We've been meaning to visit for a while now but tend to go further up to druridge. Had a lovely walk on the beach, then popped over the road to have lunch. Really enjoyed our visit....food great....other half really enjoyed his vegetable broth and my cheese toasty and salad really tasty. Very dog friendly which is a bonus. Staff friendly and efficient....served by a canny young lass and then Ian cleared our table as we were leaving....we had a good chat with him. We'll definitely be returning!

Excellent place at the beach. Parking can be limited but plenty seats and tables inside. Food was way above what I was expecting and service from the lady was above and beyond what you normally get at most places. Food was perfectly cooked and quality of ingredients was high. They also have a toilet here as well. Would definitely come back again. Well run and clean place.

We stayed for three nights. The Fountain Tea Rooms are a lovely quaint B&B with great rooms, comfy bed, good selection of facilities and are very clean. We had breakfast in the cafe below the room and it was amazing. Food was well presented and tasted great.Could ask for anything from full English to scramble egg and mushroom on toast. Nothing was to much trouble and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The area was quite and peaceful. And also had a children's play ground across the road. The Kings Head pub up the road did fantastic steaks well worth the money. We would recommend a stay at the Fountain Tea Room. Great stay and lovely place Thanks to all the staff that made this happen. X

You can't fault this place if you tried, it's excellent. The owner and staff were friendly, lovely and very helpful. The rooms were clean, very nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included and beautifully cooked. It really was a wonderful little find, well priced, faultless, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're lucky enough to get a room and have the pleasure of staying there, on our experience you'll definitely be leaving with a smile.

I ended up having a small breakfast and a latte. The coffee tasted great and the breakfast was cooked perfectly. On top of all of that the prices were very reasonable and the staff were very friendly. The location is also excellent and it's worth having a walk around the village!

Had an absolutely delicious lunch here today on our first ever visit. Staff are lovely and can’t do enough for you. The cakes are phenomenal! Such a lovely gem of a cafe and dog friendly too which is a bonus if you’re out walking. Hidden gem!

Large s welcoming cafe in the middle of Breaston. Lots of good menu choices for breakfast/brunch. We had the American style pancakes which were delicious, but enormous and too large to finish! Good service and plenty of seating. Car parking at rear, but might be difficult if the car park is full. We'd like to come back and try a lighter breakfast...

SO glad I visited here today with a good friend of mine. I found it on Google maps...!!! Such delicious food , with a very good quality and taste to it. I had garlic mushrooms on sourdough toast , with a poached egg on top, and lots of lovely fresh rocket. My friend had a lovely brown sourdough with a blend of very tasty cheeses on top of it - we both loved our food...😋😋😋. The desserts and cakes are to die for, my friend had a piece of a "triple layer victoria sponge", and I had a piece of "blueberry & lemon sponge" to take away, with me... Coffees were also 👌👌👌👌👌 excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly, too... 🥰🥰👍👍. Would definitely recommend this place for breakfast, brunch, & lunch...👍👍👍 Amazing...!! You can also reserve a table in advance, to make sure you get a seat, when it's busy....👌👌Visited again with 2 other friends today (12/9/24 - it's still as busy , and as good food as ever....👍👍👍 Gets SO very busy, it's good that you can reserve tables beforehand.

Been meaning to call here for a while, finally made it today and wasn't disappointed. A warm, friendly welcome awaits you on entry ,we booked a table ahead, which is a wise move as it is a busy place. We opted for the Stilton,cream cheese ,walnut and mango chutney sandwich on thick granary bread, what a flavour combination, it was delicious and as far as a sandwich goes it is probably the nicest I've ever had! There is a lovely selection of cakes to choose from, we chose the Ninaimo and a white chocolate and peanut butter blondiè, these again were both delicious, all washed down with a lovely cappuccino . Service was excellent, will definitely visit again when in the area.

Enjoyed a very good breakfast here a few weeks ago. It was a Monday about 10am and it was very busy....and got busier, which is absolutely great to see so many people using this lovely place. The breakfast and coffee were both delicious and I would definitely recommend a visit here. The only thing that bothered us was that about 3/4 of the way through our visit, a member of staff approached our table and put a note on it.....saying the table was reserved from 12.15. I was still eating at this point so was a bit out out by this. There were other occupied tables around us but it seemed that we were being told our time was up. As we got up to leave, a member of staff just looked at us and said "these people are here now". No need for that, we were on our way. Sort of put a damper on the morning after paying for two cooked breakfasts and coffee.

It was really great. Very nice, simple but ideal for a light light and the coffee was sooo nice. Parking too. We'll worth a few more visits.

First time here and the food didn't disappoint. The service was top notch and really friendly. Felt welcomed as soon as we entered. The only thing that ruined the atmosphere were the two gentlemen sat near us playing videos full blast on their phones. I have sensory issues and misaphonia, but it was manageable and not the fault of the place 🖤

Service and design were lovely! I had gingerbread latte which was okay, but bit too strong and sweet, and avocado 🥑 toast, which also was okay, but would love bit more avocado on it. My friend had salmon bagel 🥯 and said it was okay. We were not very impressed with the food but are willing to go again as we want to try other menu items that looked interesting!

Went with my partner on Monday for our monthly date together, notified staff in the booking they my girlfriend is hard of hearing and would prefer a quiet corner and we couldnt be more grateful they put is in a very nice corner where my girlfriend could hear me without discomfort the staff where so friendly and kind. The food was excellent gotta say best burger I’ve had ins while and the starters are so good especially the cocktails! Would recommend and definitely coming back again!

Solid, customisable hearty breakfast with a warm welcome! I've known this corner of my home town for almost 6 decades but decided to go for breakfast at Copper Cogs for the first time today. Decor-wise the place does its best to create a themed experience in what used to be many years before, a furniture store and estate agents. The staff are all friendly welcoming and helpful. Speed of service is relaxed, but if you go in with a mind for taking your time, you won't be disappointed. Regarding the food - absolutely solid - ordered the full English swapping beans out for mushrooms and toast for tomatoes to avoid all the carbs and felt that if I wanted, i could make any additional mods had I desired. The place, for a late Tuesday morning in Long Eaton, was nicely busy and had a warm, friendly energy to it. Have resolved to return again after such a great little meal. Nice one!

We have come here a few times over the past couple of years and always had an excellent experience. The chilli jam on both the burger and pizza was a new one for me, and I'd recommend it. Every time the staff have been excellent and always pleasant and friendly.

Visited for a coffee and cake today. Ended up with the best sausage roll and home made fruit cake and lemon curd EVER. Please, visit this amazing little cafe. Great service, wonderful atmosphere, sumptuous and delicious home made fare. Highly recommend.

What a lovely place. The homemade sausage roll was sensational . One of the very best I've ever had and I've had a lot ! So tasty that I bought another and a quiche to take away. Lovely staff as well.

On entering we were met by the very friendly staff who took us to our table(booking in advance is a must). I chose the regular Steak, ale and mushroom pie which was served with mash, broccoli and carrots. The gravy I must say was delicious and complemented the meal perfectly. This portion of pie was huge and many guests around me doubted I'd finish it(I did!) I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this cafè with the friendly atmosphere and tasty fayre.

Had a great light lunch here, tasty tea cakes and the ruby hot chocolate was utterly divine. The staff were all lovely and friendly, especially with my young daughter. We had some cakes to take away and they were absolutely delicious- highly recommended! Will definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Lovely place to take your dog for a walk and either have a coffee in the farm shop or visit the restaurant. Peaceful country surroundings. Improvement could be made of the bought in pasties ( too dry). And pumpkin season - although lovely, way over the top pricing compared to supermarkets or markets.

Absolutely beautiful afternoon tea to celebrate my birthday. Not everyone chose the afternoon tea and some ordered from the menu, all the food arrived together which was lovely. Plenty of tea in the tea pots (a good two large cups) A very popular venue with beautiful views and a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and would advise you book a table to ensure you have a seat.

Apparently it can be very busy be prepared for that. I found the £13 very steep for the full English breakfast. Pancakes were nice. Will return.

Called in for a coffee and light snack. The hallumi fries were incredible and the drinks were also very nice. Definitely recommend. Staff extremely friendly and great atmosphere...

Came here for a coffee after a walk in the cold. Friendly service and very nice latte. (We only ordered drinks so can't comment on the food, although the cake display did look very enticing!) Loved the free treat for the dogs! And appreciate the blankets for customers that are sitting outside.

Two of us ordered a steak sandwich and a portion of smoky bacon sausage roll. Both were delicious with generous helpings of tasty, fresh salad alongside: beetroot, celeriac, coleslaw and rocket. There was an attractive selection of cakes and bakes to be sampled next time. Friendly service with a warm welcome as we walked in. The latte coffee was perfectly prepared and served.

We visited this cute café before heading to the theatre, which is just around the corner. They’ve got a nice breakfast and lunch menu. I went for scrambled eggs on toast and added the smoked salmon, it was really tasty and just what I fancied. The staff were lovely and offered to split our bill to make things easier for us even though this had to be done manually. It was really busy on the Saturday we visited, so were lucky to get a table straight away, most people after us had to queue

If you're ever in Buxton, this is brilliant food created lovingly. Healthy, tasty, well put together - VISIT and enjoy! Upgrade and get 'the works' salad (all the salads on the plate with whatever you order) you won't regret it!

Great breakfast today at Woodside cafe! One vegetarian breakfast with a coffee, and one large full English with a tea- came to £18! Great value, great service, and the food tasted incredible! We will definitely be back!

A great little café on the via giella road just up from cromford, set on a large car/bike park. The food is good and the drinks are very reasonable, staff are friendly the cost is very surprising to say it's only a short distance from Matlock bath. Set by a stream in a picturesque wood it's a great stop with friendly bikers, cyclists and car drivers, that are more than happy to make you feel welcome 👍

The cafe was reopened under new management in December and personally the food is even better the cabin as been revamped and I would definity give it 100% please give this little gem a try let's keep them in business
